"the big wheels make it great for going off sidewalk with it (we're big hikers)"

"It’s got suspension like a car, the only time I’ve ever struggled is on straight sand (which is normal) no issues on gravel or uneven pavement!"

"The wheels handled the cobblestones amazingly. ... Had no trouble getting through anywhere."

"I love the amount of underneath space I have. ... Imagine going to the zoo, we bring our diaper bag, lunch box along with water bottles and other stuff, and everything fits underneath."

"it’s nice to have the big basket, turning up to a sport or something I can shove camping chairs and the lot underneath and trek across the grass."

"The basket is HUGE underneath, I have done entire Costco trips with it!"

"wanted something that could turn into double stroller ... We went with the Uppababy Vista, it has been perfect for our needs."

"I have the uppababy vists v2 system that I got used and I love it because it’s a double stroller now that I have two babies 14 months apart. ... I adore that this stroller was able to grow with my family and I use it with both my girls every day."

"We got the vista and it has been wicked for both kids and as a dual."

"I've used it for 2.5 years now and never had a complaint or issue."

"We’re a little over 4 years into our uppababy vista; we have beaten the heck out of it and it’s still going strong. ... Gets used all the time, only real downside for me is that it’s not great in the snow if you have two kids in it. Outside of that, we’ve put few thousand kms on ours between daily dog walks, zoo trips and other adventures and it’s been great."

"I have a used Uppababy Vista that is 10 years old and my baby is the third to use it and it’s still great."

"the bassinet is sleep safe and we've used it a ton for visiting friends/grandparents/vacations as our sleep space"

"used the bassinet for safe sleep the entire time!"

"I liked the bassinet attachment (we walked a lot so it was crucial to have something that baby could safely be in for more than 30 minutes)"

"Nah, too heavy. ... It’s heavy af though, my wife could barely lift and fold it. ... We had a vista v2 and it was way too heavy"

"I’ve been questioning how everyone is so strong and hasn’t complained much about the weight. ... I haven’t worked out where is meant to be the most ergonomic place to hold the pram to lift it into the boot. ... I feel like my fingers are going to get squashed every time. ... Also feel like I’m straining my lower back every time…"

"I will say it is BULKY. ... Aside from taking up the entire trunk of the car, it also can barely fit in small doorways, elevators, and in small stores. ... I actually dread going into small places with this thing."

"I cannot stand the vista as a double. Like legitimately HATE it."

"If you want more than one kid and plan to use as a double stroller be aware that a newborn has to ride on the bottom. The configuration is so damn stupid"

"It sucks as a double and is very heavy, I have a small SUV and it takes up most of the trunk"

"The vista is also a pain in the butt to fold for WDW busses. ... The seats have to be in a certain configuration to fold and even then it’s still really wide."

"The vista can’t fold with one hand and it makes life soooo hard."

"Nah, too heavy. ... It’s heavy af though, my wife could barely lift and fold it. ... We had a vista v2 and it was way too heavy"

"I will say it is BULKY. ... Aside from taking up the entire trunk of the car, it also can barely fit in small doorways, elevators, and in small stores. ... I actually dread going into small places with this thing."

"The Vista is great--I definitely wouldn't travel with it, though. ... I simply would not have taken all the trips I took, especially alone, if I'd had to deal with more complicated gear. ... anytime you want to actually travel anywhere with it you've got to get the carseat out, get all the crap out of the storage basket, fold the stupid stroller, install the stupid carseat, get yourself into the car, then do it all again in reverse when you get out--and that's not adequately describing the emotional stress you feel as a new mom leaving your baby in the backseat of a taxi while you go put the stroller in the trunk."

"it sucks ass to load into a car, believe me. That thing is gigantic. ... I love my uppbaby vista 2, but it’s definitely not folding down small like she says she wants. It’s gigantic, but maneuvers like a dream! ... For those worried about it being heavy; yes, it’s super heavy. Loading into a car sucks"

vista is amazing. cadillac of strollers. i have one, most of my friend circle does you can get the infant car seat and pop it right in the stroller too with no attachments. it is big though, if i was in a nyc city apt i probably wouldn’t get it but with a car, not being in a 5 floor walk up, more suburb life it’s fantastic. i’ve heard good things about the doona my only personal feedback is that it’s very low to the ground as a stroller with a low handle bar (my husband is very tall so didn’t work for us!)

We have a Cosco Scenera seat mainly for getting to and from airports, occasionally to get around the city. Our strollers are an Uppababy Vista, which can accommodate the car seat in the basket, and the Mountain Buggy Nano which has a universal infant car seat attachment system and a supposedly popular toddler carseat attachment hack. All that being said, we almost never go anywhere that requires that we lug the car seat with us at the destination. It’s too much equipment. These clever travel ideas don’t account for all the toddler stuff we have to carry around anyway, so getting either stroller perfectly packed so that they can go into a car trunk without raining out a bag’s worth of stale cracker crumbs only happens if we’re flying. What we actually do is 1) check if the destination has coat check or stroller parking to leave the car seat there, 2) figure out how to get there via public transportation with the travel stroller and/or a toddler carrier (apparently I’m often the only person that’s ever worn a 2yo because people were constantly surprised to see my giant monster of a child looming over them), or we put off going until kid is out of the car seat and ready for a booster/harness. Our wishlist of city destinations isn’t that long, just take the subway.

We arent sure about #2 and it will probably be a couple years if it happens, so went with the Cruz with bassinet and Aria carseat. We have a car so wont be using Uber much. Plan to get the yoyo for subway travel. Uppababy has a service center relatively close by in Brooklyn which is super helpful if anything goes wrong. There were also some recalls on Nuna items recently, so between those factors and recs from friends, we went with the Uppababy system. Very happy so far. Ultimately your stroller choice is very lifestyle dependent.

This is exactly what I did too! Used Uppababy Vista and then a new Aria car seat. The aria car seat did go up $150 because of the tariffs but was still more reasonable than others, and compatible with the UB Vista.

This is fantastic advice. We were set on a particular chicco travel system and were going to buy it new. Since buy buy baby closed I had trouble finding one in person, but lower end ones were all over target and those types of box stores, baby stores and nordstroms had the uppababys and Nunas, I finally found out kohls about 45 minutes from me had the Chicco and went to check it out. Compared to the uppababy I went with the materials felt cheap but more importantly the floor model was worse for wear, and it was easy to see why from the way the connections worked. It just didn’t feel built to last for my purposes and I know I would have been really annoyed if I hadn’t gone to see it in person first and found out later. Go to a store and check them out in person so you can feel good about this one, it’s an important purchase and you’re going to spend a lot of time using it. Imo anything with wheels needs a test drive.

For the comment on car seat and stroller combos I actually didn't use mine as a combo but could have gotten an attachment (I returned it when we didn't use it). I had: \-Chicco Keyfit 30 (love and would recommend; it's compatible with an adapter to most strollers that have that ability) \-Chicco car seat caddy (bought used, popped the car seat in when going to appointment or quick trips in somewhere for the first couple months, was super light so great for c section or complication recover and didn't take much space until we sold it again) \-Uppababy Vista (I love but has some other options now + big cons; cons are heavy, expensive, need the extra adapter; plusses were bassinet option, addapter option, seat that reverses, and grear wheels; I'd maybe buy again and have no regrets, but their are lighter options at similar or lower price points now)

Same here! My brother lent me his Vista and we bought the Bugaboo Butterfly before our first trip. My husband hated using a stroller until he tried the Bugaboo. I’m using the Vista with my second now since he is little and the bassinet is 10/10 but I find the Vista so heavy in general and it barely fits in our car with a seat attached. I’m thinking of getting the Bugaboo attachment for my oldest so he can stand when we use the stroller once my youngest is older. We will probably also baby-wear my youngest a lot until summer comes so we’re not in a rush.

Test drives. I was set on an uppababy vista due to research then I tried the Cybex gazelle in a store and it was all over from there. Comparing the two made it no comparison.
