I have the Vista and love it! Have used it nearly everyday since my baby was 1mo. She loves to sleep in it so it must be comfortable haha (and, not that you need it, but ftr the bassinet attachment was awesome during newborn phase). The walk I like to take is super bumpy and all different terrain and it handles it all really well. I would bring it to grocery shop before she was able to sit in a cart and would toss all my groceries in the bottom basket. We have a Subaru Forester and it fits in the trunk pretty comfortably. My only complaints is that it’s a bit cumbersome to pick up when folded, but maybe that’s just a stroller thing!
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->vista is amazing. cadillac of strollers. i have one, most of my friend circle does you can get the infant car seat and pop it right in the stroller too with no attachments. it is big though, if i was in a nyc city apt i probably wouldn’t get it but with a car, not being in a 5 floor walk up, more suburb life it’s fantastic. i’ve heard good things about the doona my only personal feedback is that it’s very low to the ground as a stroller with a low handle bar (my husband is very tall so didn’t work for us!)
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->Test drives. I was set on an uppababy vista due to research then I tried the Cybex gazelle in a store and it was all over from there. Comparing the two made it no comparison.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Moms, what attracted you to buy that stroller? ->We live in NYC and the big wheels help on those badly paved sidewalks, cobblestone. When we got the UB Vista, our intention was also to use it as a double stroller. But i realized it gets really really heavy when you have it as a 2 seater. Don't get me wrong, we love it, but it's an everyday stroller, and not convenient to be folded and carried around. I've heard from many people that their customer service is top notch (even from people who bought a 2nd hand UB). When new, it comes with the bassinet, which we really rarely used.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->We are big nuna fans—we have the pipa + TRVL. We also have a used uppababy vista that we love! I would personally recommend the TRVL over the TAVO because it’s lighter weight (I believe 13 lbs for TRVL vs 23 lbs for TAVO) and the fold is so, so easy on the TRVL, BUT I also don’t like having my baby in the car seat all the time and that’s the only way to use a TRVL until 6ish months! I really wish the TRVL came with a bassinet or a full recline.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Nuna tavo + pipa urbn travel system or the chicco corso primo cleartex system? ->I’d do option 1, leave the base at home and just seatbelt install the mesa in the vehicle from the airport. I’ve gate checked our vista it’s fine, a couple scratches nothing major.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller/Car Seat Strategy [on] ->I did the nuna infant car sets with the uppababy vista stroller and bassinet. You can get an adapter and use the nunas with that. It was life changing comparing it to my first time mom graco days haha
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->I bought a second hand UPPAbaby with the bassinet/rumble seat attachments for $300. It’s in great shape and can transition into a double stroller when we have our second. Almost bought a Mockingbird, but the selling point for me was the extendable handlebar as my husband and I are both tall and I didn’t want to be hunched over pushing it around.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->We have the Mesa car seat and Vista stroller—the car seat is very lightweight/safe, but I’d imagine the UPPAbaby Cruz model is better suited for smaller spaces. I bought both items in really good condition off marketplace for $400 total—if the price point of the more expensive brands scares you there are definitely deals out there.
r/pregnant • Infant car seat and compatible stroller - tell me the truth - help!! ->IIRC the Nuna is quite heavy compared to the Uppababy? I went to Nordstrom and picked up everything. I could be remembering a different model, though. I have an older vista and a mesa car seat. We also had the bassinet and stand. Baby did not love the bassinet, but did nap in it during the day (she slept in the bassinet attachment for a 4moms play yard at night). I think it might have just had to do with the walls being higher than the 4moms, bc she is a nosy little thing with serious FOMO 🤣 She’s currently nearing too big for the mesa and I’m going to miss the convenience of the bucket seat, for sure. We have a CYBEX sirona s and let me tell you how much more annoying that was to install, lol. Husband’s assessment was that UB has superior shock absorption, for what that’s worth.
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->We got the vista and it has been wicked for both kids and as a dual. Plus I know I’ll get good money for it used when the time comes
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->We got an uppababy vista v2 for our daughter. It was expensive as hell but it was the most comfortable ride out of all the ones we tried and it’s a double so it’s possible to add an adapter for a second kid later on.
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->We have an Uppababy Vista V2, and we absolutely love it. We'd recommend it to pretty much anyone... ... but it's not even vaguely light weight. You're going to find tradeoffs in everything. If you want something high quality and durable, it's either not going to be light or it's not going to be great for hauling stuff with you. If you want something light, it's probably not going to be super durable or adaptable.
r/Parenting • Help! Drowning in a Car Seat and Sea of Strollers - Need a Lightweight Safe Travel System ->Another vote for uppababy vista with the full travel system, with the caveat that it is NOT ideal for travel. We bought the uppababy minu for travel because we can use the same car seat for both.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->We have two! A Vista V2 and a Babyzen Yoyo+. Basically we take the Uppababy around the neighborhood and anywhere bumpy or that we need to carry a bunch of stuff (more places in the early days because we used it with bassinet as a nap spot on the go) and the Yoyo for anything in the car or in an airport.
r/Buyingforbaby • 2 Strollers?! ->The Uppababy Vista 2 was my top baby purchase, hands down. I’ve used a lot of friend’s strollers and talked to a lot of other moms and one thing I noticed is that they either hate their strollers or have bought multiple different ones trying to find one they like. I wanted to skip all that so went right for Uppababy. No regrets!!!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [On] UppaBaby Vista 3 vs. Evenflo Pivot / Graco ->Obsessed with my Bugaboo Butterfly. Wish I had never bought our Uppababy Vista and started with it! We took both kids (8 month old sitting in stroller, 3.5 year old sitting on wheeled board) to the aquarium last Saturday in the snow and it was not perfect to push but still doable (10-15 minute walk outside to the subway from our house). Highly recommend.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Recommendations: Everyday stroller that is also good for traveling [on] ->I love love love my Uppababy vista. You can get them cheap second hand, but honestly the new version with the air cooling seats would be worth the investment in my opinion if you are in a hot climate! It’s got suspension like a car, the only time I’ve ever struggled is on straight sand (which is normal) no issues on gravel or uneven pavement! The basket is HUGE underneath, I have done entire Costco trips with it! Seats are adjustable and have foot rests, the sunshades are large and excellent and the harnesses are easy to adjust! It folds up easy and has a metal frame so it’s indestructible. Mine is 10 years old and you would never know! Just make sure you get one 2015+ so you have the option for all the attachments!
r/2under2 • Recommend double strollers? ->A mixture of friends’ recommendations and TikTok reviews, honestly. We ended up probably overcomplicating things and getting the Uppababy Vista, bassinet attachment, and the Nuna car seat and adapter for the stroller. We did that because I like the two-kid setup better on the Uppababy and we plan to have a second baby in a few years.
r/BabyBumps • How did you choose a stroller and car seat? ->We went and trialed them. I really enjoyed the vista mobility compared to the nuna, it also felt more comfortable for him. They make bags that you could gate check the vista. The wheels come off really easily, if I was going to gate check it I would remove the wheels. We got a travel car seat and travel stroller separate from the ones we keep in the car. I wanted a light stroller I wouldn’t have to gate check and a light car seat to carry through the airport. The doona for us was extremely low, it seemed like it would be uncomfortable for long usage.
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->I have a vista and I hate it. Everything is good but the thing is so heavy. I’m 5’2 and I dreaded it whenever I have to lift it in and out my trunk. Almost to the point that I didn’t wanna go out. I got a lighter stroller and loving it so much now. You should test it out first.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->Others have covered the feel, quality and suspension. I have both an Uppababy Vista V2 & a Cybex Gazelle and I prefer the Gazelle. It is so smooth, and handles so nicely :)
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->I have the Uppababy Vista set up, inherited it from my sister. The bassinet was great for overnights, and for the first couple of months, it was the only other bed my baby would sleep in other than his bedside bassinet. It was nice to have a familiar place for the baby to sleep when we were away from home. I live in the Stockyards, so there’s a lot of sidewalk space for walking around with my Vista. When I go downtown on a busy day, it does seem tight but that might just be all strollers. I have the V1 mesa car seat, so I can’t speak to newer models, but it is heavy, especially as baby grows. My sister in law got the Uppababy system, except she got the Nuna Pipa car seat, which is SO light. Apparently it’s lighter than the newest Uppababy. You can purchase an adapter to have it fit with the Uppababy stroller. I would have totally purchased a lighter car seat if I didn’t get mine for free. I love how convenient everything is with the Uppababy system and it is all great quality. They also do free stroller tuneups at their Leaside office (by appointment). If you live somewhere with a lot of stairs you may want to consider a lighter/less bulky option.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->Cybex Priam! We had Uppababy Vista and it was bulky and heavy and unnecessary. The same goes for Mockingbird and Nuna.
r/BabyBumps • What's the best stroller for me? ->We have the Uppababy Vista Travel system and then my parents have the travel stroller, the Minu. It’s very convenient
r/NewParents • What kind of/how many strollers do people have? ->I have the vista and ub car seat and gate checked then both when I traveled with baby around that age (solo!). It was a pain to gate check when I was holding baby plus carry-ons but other passengers or flight crew always helped me. Now that baby can sit more independently we use the gb pocket air for travel since it is carry-on.
r/NewParents • Airplane travel with 4 month old… Stroller recommendations needed! ->I love my Uppa Baby Vista. We have the V2. We used the bassinet a lot and are now in the rumble seat and love that too. It is big, and probably heavy but we have a big enough vehicle and my husband does all the lifting so I don't mind!😊 I really like how well it handles bumpy terrain like well maintained but unpaved trails and getting up and down curbs.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->Folding the vista with two seats is a pain in my sedan... I have to remove the rumble seat, often reverse the main stroller seat (and sometimes take off the tray) just to get it in the car From how quickly you can fold a double, it seems like that would be a benefit. But I think it would depend on your kids' ages and how often you plan to use a stroller for two in & out of the car to decide whether to get the side by side if you already have the vista. you can also likely buy a rumble seat second hand and just order new fabric from uppababy to match your existing stroller. that's what I did and it was only $80 for the fabric (vs $199 for a brand new seat)
r/2under2 • Uppababy Minu Duo (looks like Zoe Twin copy), versus Vista ->I have an uppababy vista with the uppababy mesa car seat and I love ours. We are reusing the car seat for our second (no accidents and only 2 years old). The vista comes with a bassinet attachment, a toddler seat attachment, and the infant car seat can click in with no additional adapters. The only downside is that, for the vista which can become a double stroller, the additional pieces and attachments can be pricey :/ the configuration for a toddler and infant is also very unfortunate, but our toddler is small enough to fit the lower seat so it will hopefully work out for us 🤞
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->Uppa baby vista because my SIL gave it to us for free 😂
r/BabyBumps • Which stroller do you use and why? ->We have a Uppababy Cruz with the Aria car seat which he's since outgrown and is now in the Rove car seat (he's 10 months and we switched him to it a month ago or so). The Aria is great for newborn phase since it's their lightest newborn car seat. The Cruz is also great because it's more compact and lighter compared to the Vista if any if that is important to you. Only get a Vista if you don't mind a larger and heavier stroller because you think you will use its accessories (like having an infant seat and a toddler both in the same stroller). The included basinets aren't really necessary and you can find them on Facebook marketplace all the time because babies outgrow them so quickly. Only get it if it comes in a package that doesn't change the price if you had just gotten the stroller and seat anyway. Otherwise search on Facebook marketplace. Basically the only thing you should always buy new is the car swat to ensure it's never been in an accident and thus is compromised, or past its expiration date. Things like strollers and most other things you could totally get used or as hand me downs without issue. Edit: noticed your note about wanting a basinet because of not wanting the baby in the car seat for more than two hours (their max time per session before a break is needed). I mean, again, we survived without such a basinet and had his Cruz stroller with infant insert in the trunk and would leave the Aria car seat in the car if we knew we would be out and about for a longer stretch once we reached a destination. If it was a quick trip then the stroller went in the car by itself without the stroller seat so we could take his Aria car seat and click it into the Cruz and vice versa.
r/predaddit • Help! Drowning in a Car Seat and Sea of Strollers - Need a Lightweight Safe Travel System for a Newborn that they can grow into. ->I pretty much always get Graco because it’s never failed me and always seems very sturdy. But recently I was out of town and borrowed an Uppababy Vista and holy crap what a difference. It was so smooth and easy to maneuver (the stroller at least, didn’t try the car seat).
r/Mommit • Help! Drowning in a Car Seat and Sea of Strollers - Need a Lightweight Safe Travel System for a Newborn that they can grow into. ->Purchased uppababy vista 3 for suburban strolls. This was also my splurge. In a bigger center, I could see the cruz being a good option as it's a little smaller. I also see people rave about the bugaboo butterfly for a more compact option.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->We bought an Uppababy Vista stroller with bassinet, plus Aria carseat. You can find Uppababy strollers, especially the older generation Vista, on Facebook marketplace. Im very happy with the Vista, and use the bassinet for a travel crib as well as strolls around the neighborhood. We bought the Aria new, because we felt more comfortable for safety reasons. Everything snaps together easily, even on the old Vista stroller. We probably saved $1k doing it this way. The Aria isn't the lightest, but it's lighter than the Mesa.
r/baby • Help! Drowning in a Car Seat and Sea of Strollers - Need a Lightweight Safe Travel System for a Newborn that they can grow into. ->I have had the Vista V2 for almost a year and I’ve been questioning how everyone is so strong and hasn’t complained much about the weight. It takes up my entire car boot and I haven’t worked out where is meant to be the most ergonomic place to hold the pram to lift it into the boot. I feel like my fingers are going to get squashed every time. Also I seem to hardly use it as my husband prefers to carry the baby than to get the pram out because it’s quite large and sometimes cumbersome to weave through shops or food courts. The basket is definitely huge and great for grocery shopping and it handles great on bumpy terrain. But I’ve seen a friend use her travel pram as a regular pram and I’m wondering whether that would be me too. I think it would be a good idea to try lifting one at baby bunting. Maybe I have to be less lazy and remove the seat before folding? Also feel like I’m straining my lower back every time…
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Prams - did you regret getting a larger, heavy pram for your first baby? ->I will say we have loved traveling with our Uppababy vista. Yes having all the bags can be a hassle when you gate check, but it’s just a few moments from standing in line to walking down the jet bridge and that’s it. We love how smooth the vista is and how easy it is to handle one handed, very nice trying to get all bags and kids and stroller through the airport. The other bonus to the bags is if you register them with Uppababy, and then something gets damaged when you use them, they will replace/fix for free. Our rumble seat broke on one of our trips while using the bag. All we had to do was prove we had taken a flight and that our bag was registered, and they sent us a new rumble seat frame.
r/parentsofmultiples • Travel stroller for twins ->If you like the stroller you have then I would just keep it. If you want a second stroller then consider a jogging stroller for more all-terrain use. I absolutely love my uppababy vista and would highly recommend it as an everyday stroller, but I don’t think I’ll get as much use out of it in my second year with baby as I did in the first year.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->Uppababy Vista V2. We absolutely love ours. It was one of the higher priced items that we bought but totally worth it. We didn’t like the Uppababy car seats so went with the Nuna Pipa and got the adapter, which is small and really easy to use.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->Uppababy Vista V2 for the win! We didn’t like the uppababy car seats so went with the Nuna Pipa RX and got the adapter. It’s super easy to snap on and both are working really well for us. I also was dead set on a bassinet attachment and am really glad I followed through because we love it and use it all the time. Baby is 1 month old and we use the bassinet attachment when we go out to dinner. She sleeps so well in it! We also use it daily for walks.
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->You’ll be happy either way, they are both amazing strollers and car seats. I have the uppababy vista and mesa car seat, my best friend went the nuna route. They both push great and have basically the same features.
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->I have the vista and do not like it as a double, it’s fine to keep at home all set up and ready to go, but breaking it down and putting it in the car is a pain. I will be buying the minu duo
r/2under2 • Uppababy Minu Duo (looks like Zoe Twin copy), versus Vista ->I looked at all these same strollers, and am also getting the Pipa car seat. We ultimately decided on the Trvl LX for now, and will probably get an uppababy vista when the v3 comes out (we live in a city with a lot of bumpy sidewalks, harsh winters, and unpaved parks, so I think the vista will fare better over time on that rougher terrain. We’re also planning to have another kid in a few years so the double features are a plus). Once we have the vista we’ll use the Trvl more like a traditional travel stroller, and keep it in our car, use for flights etc. The reasons we went with the Trvl LX are: - no adapters needed for the pipa. It snaps right onto the belly bar and is so easy to snap in and out. - it has bigger wheels than the regular Trvl and I think the minu as well so I hope it will handle some of the rougher terrain mentioned above when it needs to - it’s “infant ready”, as the seat fully reclines. So in theory you don’t need to use the car seat with it all the time (Triv and Minu do not have this option. You would have to attach a bassinet with adapters to both of those, and you’d have to buy the bassinet and possibly adapters separately to do so) - I also really liked the minu, but the need for adapters for car seats and the fact that if you use the minu for air travel you need to take the wheels off to gate check it, just meant it wasn’t the best stroller for the infant stage. Maybe we’ll consider it again in a few years. Hope that helps!
r/Buyingforbaby • Nuna Travel Lx vs. Nuna Triv vs. Uppababy Minu V2 ->We went uppababy vista and uppababy minu v3 over nuna because UB sells backward compatible parts back to 2015 models on their website. To my understanding, if you need a part for your Nuna- you’re a little SOL. The UB car seat clicks into the minu. So we’re opting for Minu over doona because it can go from birth to a little older, and weighs under 20 lbs I think bugaboo is more of an UB competitor than Nuna
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->Uppababy vista is totally worth it for the storage space alone
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->With my first baby I had the Chicco KeyFit 30 and the $100ish Caddy that you can buy to go with it. Of all of my strollers that one was my favorite. We used it so much for both of our kids that it got a hole worn in the bottom. I used it many times a day every day. And when she outgrew that we got a very nice Maclaren Volo (thrifted for $25) that was also used several times a day every day. We drive two sedans and it was nice that they fit in the trunk without taking up much room. We also lived on a second floor walk up and both were light enough I could carry the entire stroller (with the kid still strapped in) up the stairs by myself Once we had the second baby we invested in the Uppanbay Vista, and although I love it, I would **NOT** want that thing for everyday use, and I think it is wayyyy overkill for one kid. We use it for places like the zoo where we’ll be walking a lot, or when I walk the older one to school (2 miles each way, 4 miles total). But for day to day we’d just bring the caddy and/or umbrella stroller with us because they’re lighter and easier. Vista has great suspension which is really helpful when you have two heavy kids. It pushes more easily than the cheaper ones. But with one kid I would not get it. Since your kid is already 11 months I’d get a nice umbrella stroller and call it a day (loved our Volo, which is only $100-200, vs over $1000 for the Vista)
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->Zoe! You can get them half price on goodbuygear. They’re only $200 new and worth every penny. One handed fold and unfold. We have the uppababy vista and the Zoe was the absolute perfect companion since it’s the polar opposite (small and lightweight) but still very premium feel and function. It also fits into the overhead compartment for flights!
r/NewParents • Affordable lightweight stroller recommendations for 5 week old? Not able to carry our primary stroller. ->I like my vista! But I never had a different stroller to compare it to, so it’s hard to say if it’s a must. My logic was to splurge on one that everyone swears by and holds its value, so that I can sell it on marketplace and recoup some costs down the line. Not sure the resell value of a Graco. The Vista has been great for grocery runs, I can fit everything in the basket , even at COSTCO if I carry the oversize items. It’s also been great for daily walks. When babe was little rolling it in gravel she seemed to bounce too much but now that she’s 9 months, gravel is no issue. Cons are: a bitch to carry the frame anywhere other than in and out of the car trunk. Maneuvering around a tight entryway annoys me. Also it’s a big stroller. It’s too wide for several shops in the mall or forget coffee shops. I can only take it into big box stores.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [On] UppaBaby Vista 3 vs. Evenflo Pivot / Graco ->Definitely take a stroller - thought I could get away without one because my resort had advertised they “provide strollers” but I was only finally able to get one on my second last day. That being said, I saw plenty of uppababy vistas at our resort and that’s what we have at home too! I’ve travelled with it before (just not to this resort) and it wasn’t a huge issue doing oversized baggage check for free at the airport
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller recommendations [BC] ->Tons to consider! We initially bought the uppababy vista + mesa car seat and the bassinet attachment. We live in the suberbs and the bassinet attachment was great for long walks around the neighborhood. Unfortunately little man hated the car seat, we switched him to the full size nuna rava (comes w newborn insert) and he was much happier. I liked the vista for walks around my neighborhood, but it was heavy getting in and out of the trunk, didn’t fold down very small so it took up my whole trunk, and its base was awkwardly long so I would regularly bump into aisles and stuff at the grocery store. The mechanism to collapse and unfold is also v awkward imho I wound up also buying a cybex gazelle on the advice of my SIL. It’s a full size single to double stroller like the vista but with a smaller base. The base can hold 50 lbs in addition to the seat so we love it for random curbside scavenge pickups on the walk home from the park🤪 it’s also the only double stroller on the market that when used as a double the bassinet attachment can be on top close to mom rather than the ground. It also folds much smaller into my trunk and is a lot easier to fold/ unfold. For reference, I’m 5’8 and my husband is 6’4 and we can use both strollers comfortably. My best recommendation is to head to a baby store and test a few out to see what you love!
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Moms, what attracted you to buy that stroller? ->We had a vista v2; you should be able to find it within your budget on sale especially now with v3 being out. It fits most of the needs you listed, if you find it too heavy, then the cruz is a better option. To bassinet or not bassinet is definitely confusing, your not losing your mind, all the baby gear is confusing and almost worse than car shopping with the different names and acronyms. ugh. Having said that for the infants, having a bassinet is definitely better. Most European strollers come with sleep ready/lay flat bassinets. With respect to keeping the little on in the car seat for long, it's definitely not recommended. [https://elht.nhs.uk/services/maternity-and-newborn-services/keeping-your-baby-safe#:\~:text=Your%20baby%20should%20not%20be,at%20least%20every%20two%20hours)](https://elht.nhs.uk/services/maternity-and-newborn-services/keeping-your-baby-safe#:~:text=Your%20baby%20should%20not%20be,at%20least%20every%20two%20hours). If you can afford it, get a bassinet, even if its used < There's nothing wrong with second hand, especially for bassinets since they have very limited time span for use! I saw some folks mention the mockingbird, to me they seem to be a uppa knock off...[https://www.reddit.com/r/BabyBumps/comments/xgdlw3/psa\_to\_fellow\_mockingbird\_stroller\_fams/](https://www.reddit.com/r/BabyBumps/comments/xgdlw3/psa_to_fellow_mockingbird_stroller_fams/)
r/Buyingforbaby • Help me pick a travel system ->The Vista made me truly realise how much more trunk space my old Carnival had compared to the EV9. Used to just throw the Vista into the trunk without any thought and there'd still be plenty of space for other things.
r/KiaEV9 • Fitting Full size Stroller in the trunk ->Uppababy vista fits most of those requirements. Get a v2 secondhand and travel bag for it.
r/BabyBumps • Am I being naive in wanting an absolute UNICORN of a stroller? Or do I just need to accept that I actually need three strollers? ->I got all the expensive ones, but used in marketplace for the same price as a new cheaper one. My Uppababy with 2 seats and the kickstand board was only $250 and hands down the best stroller for us. I also bought the donkey bugaboo used for $300 and used it for a few months and then sold it for $300 when we got the uppa baby instead
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->I looked into strollers a bit when we had our first about a year and a half ago. I tried to research the build and quality of redababy but for nothing. I signed up to the stroller workshop patreon (their YouTube channel is maybe the great stroller resource on the internet) and asked there directly about reds baby. This was their response: "Hi, Redsbaby is purely sold in Australia / New Zealand as far as I know. We did have a look at the Jive3 in this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DAnZ1WnDbw&t=1613s , at 26.53), but our assessments were based purely on online research. Without actually seeing their strollers, it's hard to comment too much on their quality, but I’m a bit skeptical. There are very few brands truly designing their strollers themselves these days. Most just buy pre-existing design-components off of menus provided by manufacturing plants in China and then just add a few personalized touches (this is why so many strollers look the same), and scale can matter here for getting access to the best designs and components. If you can get great after-sales service by virtue of Redsbaby being Australian, then this might be a reason to get one of their models, but otherwise I would probably look on the wider market for more established premium brands. That being said, if you let me know a little bit what you’re looking for in a stroller (budget, terrain, how much you use a car to get around, weight or size considerations, and anything else you feel is important or are specifically looking for), then I’d be very happy to brainstorm some models with you if you’d like. :) Warm wishes to you and your family! Wade, The Stroller Workshop" ----- That resonated with me too personally as I felt like redsbaby was all marketing and fluff. We ultimately got a vista and a butterfly. We've traveled a lot with our baby.. and the butterfly has been great. Light and easy to carry. My favourite thing about it is how easy it is to open and close. Can be done with one hand.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Help - Bugaboo Butterfly, Joolz Aer+ or Redsbaby Skip 3? ->I hate uppababy strollers with a passion. I had a Cruz and a vista and they are heavy, clunky, and the quality you get isn’t worth the price in my opinion. I had a bugaboo donkey for awhile and that was okay as a double, but to be honest my favorite stroller for both travel and home was the very reasonable Thule Spring. It isn’t a double, but we managed fine with two under two since I wore one and used the stroller for the other, especially traveling in Europe. It survived Air France twice, managed cobblestone and narrow streets in Florence, and was light enough but substancial enough to handle just about all terrain. I live in MN and it handled snow just fine, is easy to fold and stores small. The Cruz on the other hand has been regulated to the stroller my parents use for grandkids because I dont want to store it and I sold the Vista and Donkey.
r/Buyingforbaby • Looking at all the stroller choices is making me want to pull my hair out! ->I’m normally very anti-Vista but if you’ll be checking a large stroller frequently, I’d get that and the travel bag so it’s automatically covered in case of airline damage.
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->I received a hand me down UPPAbaby Vista and for us being in a small city, with a small house and a small car, it was too bulky and not really worth the extra cost had I bought it. I ended up giving it back and getting a used Babyzen Yoyo. My main goals were something light and compact but still good quality and would hold up. Went with the Yoyo because it is considered a top travel stroller and is readily welcomed by airlines (so just be light and compact) and I really like the parent brand (Stokke). They also have a lot of accessories and you can even but different color packs for the padding, which is fun. I've been extremely happy with it thus far, like it way more than the UPPAbaby. My only two complaints would be that 1) the wheels wobble a bit if you go too fast, but it never claimed to be a jogging stroller and I do walk quite fast, and 2) I kinda wish there was a completely upright setting rather than being slightly reclined at the highest point, but that's a common stroller thing.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->I love my Uppababy Vista 2. Still going strong about to have my 3rd kid. I think it’s a good option if you’re planning to have more than one in a relatively short time (my oldest and youngest will be 5 years apart). I love that you can also use the bassinet with a stand so it’s a good travel option.
r/Mommit • What travel system (with bassinet attachment available) did you chose and why? ->Im at 38 weeks and have two strollers already purchased, the uppababy vista and a lighter weight graco 3 in 1 system. I keep second guessing my choices and getting FOMO with other strollers! Moreso with my Vista, which is SO bulky and heavy and im just having a hard time seeing how I will practically use it as a petite woman. All is to say that even for some of us that already have strollers, we may still feel overwhelmed and anxious!
r/BabyBumps • Overwhelmed by stroller options ->I think you'll be happy with either stroller - but I would really recommend looking at Nuna car seats instead of UB. UB just doesn't design their seats as well and there are more issues with fit than Nuna ever has. Do you expect another kid in the near future? I prefer the fold of the Demi to the Vista. I get so annoyed with closing the Vista and opening it, but it is a dream to push! I also love that the Demi comes with a built in mosquito net, and the second kid seat is not reduced limits like on the Vista. I never even tried the Demi unfortunately and I regret it!!
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->Listen to me- Get the Uppababy Vista with bassinet or at least the Cruz. You can’t go wrong with it. It’s expensive but if you plan to have more kids it will be worth it. You can totally get it used as long as it’s in good condition. I went through the same thing with maxi cosi- turns out it’s shit, no offense to anyone that has it but it broke for me before baby even came! And customer service was so annoying! Just get Uppababy and enjoy life thereafter. Get the Uppababy car seat too. You’ll use the stroller so often and u don’t want one that you hate
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Overwhelmed - Stroller Recommendation [ON] ->Just get the uppa baby vista (comes with bassinet) and mesa. I was a FTM In Ontario too and we LOVE the Uppababy. If you live in a condo the car seat is amazing as it clips onto the stroller and that’s how I bring my baby up to the elevator etc without needing to break my back carrying the car seat with him in it. We have the Vista v2 and mesa max and love them both! We plan to have more kids and this way the vista can accommodate more kids. Uppababy is extremely smooth, super easy to open and close and we used that bassinet so much in the first 3 months
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->I had a Chicco Bravo carseat and stroller, then when my LO was 3m I bought a used Vista, as I like to fo for a walk every day. The Bravo stroller was so hard to drive, heavy and so bumpy. The Vista is so much smoother, light and easier to maneuver. There are a few things I prefer the Bravo to Vista, tho: -Opening and closing Bravo was much easier. -The cup hold /snack tray for who's driving (w/o the need to buy an extra attachment, like Vista requires) -Takes up less space in the trunk. The Vista wheels are quite large, but if you get a Cruz I don't think that will be a problem. I kept the Chicco keyfit carseat as I like it overall. Just needed to buy an adapter . Note, both strollers were previously used.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->Definitely get a double side by side. I started with the vista and it was good for my two that were 21 months apart when the youngest was still in a car seat but I really didn’t like it as a double. It’s hard to navigate and a huge pain to fold up/store in the car. I got the Zoe twin plus side by side and it was my go to until baby #3 came along. The only thing I liked more about the vista was the cargo room underneath and the material of the seats. I’ve heard good things about the baby jogger side by sides also.
r/Mommit • Looking for Double Stroller Advice (Especially for Disney + Daily Use with a 3yo & 8mo) ->We have the vista and I LOVE it. It’s super easy to use and handle. The basket can hold 30lbs so we even go shopping with it. It folds up very nicely as well. We did a lot of comparison to other strollers and agreed this one was the best for us. Def get the vista!
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->We have the V2 with the bassinet and it’s really, really nice. The car seat (Aria) also can be used on the V2 which is a nice perk. If I had to choose between the V2 and the V3 I’d go for the V2 hands down. The bassinet is perfect because they can sleep in it (duh) but also because you can use a swaddle with it whereas you’ll lose that with the V3. We were able to go out and never worry about naps because the bassinet is a roomy safe sleep space. I’m not saying the V3 isn’t safe, but you may not get the same quality of sleep with the reclined seat. Plus for super quick trips you lose the ability to ever use the car seat which doesn’t seem worthwhile imo.
r/Buyingforbaby • Anyone considering the new uppababy minu v3 for a newborn? ->Just a warning on the uppababy. If you live in the city and take the streetcar, the uppababy vista will not fit/move down the aisle. Someone had posted this earlier. I’m not sure about the Cruz, but the Cruz is not that much smaller….
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->I love my Uppababy Vista. I literally use it multiple times daily (but I live in a very walkable area).
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->Uppa vista and doona. Both have been incredible for different reasons. Now that she’s outgrown the doona, it’ll be replaced by a different travel stroller but it was by far our best purchase in the first year
r/NewParents • What kind of/how many strollers do people have? ->✅same heights ✅same size car ✅travel often (moved across the country from family) I nannied for ten years and wanted the BEST. Something that folded/unfolded easily, with good steering and tons of storage space (you always need more than you think you do!) I used plenty of cheaper/more expensive/meh strollers over the decade in childcare. I hated most of them. A few minutes with our pick SOLD me. We went with the Uppababy Vista (V2 at the time, 2021 baby) and the Mesa car seat. Yeah, they’re separate purchases kinda but one system. I liked the bassinet attachment (we walked a lot so it was crucial to have something that baby could safely be in for more than 30 minutes) and the *giant* basket on the stroller! We still use ours when traveling and our girl is 3.5 years old now. The thing steers like a dream. Fabric cleans easily, which is nice after gate-checking the stroller a dozen times and the dirt that comes with that. The stroller truly steers one-handed, and not all systems do even if they claim to. Yeah, certain attachments have to be bought additionally, but it’s worth it. They’re all great. Easy to clean, easy to attach and swap out. It was the one thing on our registry that I really wanted to get right and that I told people I wasn’t willing to compromise on. If someone didn’t want to pitch in for it, we’d buy it ourselves. You use a stroller SO much in the earlier times and it’s 100% worth it to not stress about small sticky wheels and bad steering and finicky buckles or brakes.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->We have the Vista v2. Ours are 4 months old, and it doesn't bother them or us.
r/parentsofmultiples • Are twins happy in stacked prams? ->I think it makes more sense to get a stroller that allows you to click baby seat into it when needed. We went with the vista and Mesa and the occasional times I clicked the car seat in were useful but not enough for me to want a stroller with that sole purpose. Once baby was a tad bigger I’d just baby wear everywhere or just transfer to the stroller seat since they’re not suppose to be in a car seat for too long. I’m expecting my 3rd and an acquaintance who recently had her 5th was raving about the doona but it turns out her kid practically lives in it, takes naps in it etc which isn’t recommended. She liked the convenience of being able to keep baby strapped in the same container everywhere…
r/beyondthebump • What do y’all think about the doona? ->So we have a Vista, and have the stroller bag. The Vista has done pushing 20 flights, within Canada and the US. We also have a Minu. I love the Vista for traveling. I have a 3 yo and a 3 mo, and the 3yo started traveling at 8 months or so. We've always gotten a seat for baby on the plane, and the travel carseat fits in the basket of the Vista (cosco scenara next). I liked having the full basket for travel. Uppababy customer service is excellent. Air Canada ripped the handle off my stroller bag. AC reimbursed me, but Uppababy had a new one on my doorstep 2 days later.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Buying a travel stroller vs using Uppababy Cruz on trips [on] ->I don't think you will find much in your price range that ticks all your boxes. My recommendation is the uppababy vista, you can probably find the V2 on the sale with the V3 just being released. Or you can definitely find it used and just purchase a new car seat The V2 comes with the bassinet attachment so you don't have to spend extra there and the car seat goes from base to stroller seamlessly I have the Cruz, got it on sale and love it. I guess it's kinda heavy but I'm small and don't have any issues taking it in and out of my trunk or folding it. I also drive a Mazda 3 hatchback so it'll fit in your car no problem You could look into a different car seat and get adapters for it and save a bit of money that way Depending where you live check snuggle bugz or west coast kids and you can try them as well as putting the car seat in your car to test. You I believe can do that at babies r us too but they won't have uppababy. We also looked at the nuna which is great, we just didn't see it on sale
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Mid-Range Travel System Suggestions? [on] ->I love my uppababy vista however as others have mentioned it is bulky so it might not be ideal for city living. I don’t live in the city so I can’t speak to that. I know the uppababy Cruz is smaller and is compatible with the bassinet attachment. That might be better for city life.
r/beyondthebump • Best stroller/travel system ->We got the uppababy vista and a Nuna full size stroller as hand me downs. Both were WAY too heavy and bulky to take anywhere. They basically fill the whole trunk of my volvo xc40. I just got the Bugaboo Butterfly and I have a Nuna Pipa infant car seat. It can be put in the Bugaboo with adaptors without taking the regular seat out. We never used the bassinet attachment for the Vista, so for me it was a null extra. If you plan to walk daily in your neighborhood from birth and you have a garage that’s ground level, you could go for a stroller with bassinet, but if you plan to use the stroller for outings and travel, I would skip. Get the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 or the Uppababy Minu 3. Both just came out and you can put in overhead compartment. Pair either with a Nuna Pipa Infant carseat and then size up to a Nuna or Clek convertible car seat after 1-year old. Don’t get the uppababy carseat even if u get the Minu stroller.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->We have a Joolz Aer+. It has a near full recline and there’s also a bassinet attachment you could get. The one hand fold/open is really convenient while holding baby but I’m not sure how it would do in the snow. Would baby wearing be an option for the snowy sidewalks instead? We also have a travel system (Uppababy Vista) but it’s not compact or lightweight. I can’t imagine having to deal with a newborn and bringing it up a flight of stairs alone.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller recommendation for a petite FTM due in the fall [ON] ->We have a uppababy vista with the bassinet but tbh we barely used it. It was just so much easier to babywear when my son was that little. Especially since I see you're going on the subway. I wouldn't have trusted taking the bassinet on the metro because it doesn't have any kind of harness mechanism so I'd be worried about going over bumps or the gap between the train and the platform etc... I remember it didn't even feel safe bumping up and down a curb. Get a bugaboo butterfly and a good carrier and you should be all set.
r/BabyBumps • Lightweight strollers useable from birth without a car seat? ->I’ve got the original minu which I used HEAVILY as my primary stroller for my now 4 yo. I’ve got a baby due in March and am planning on getting the v3 if it launches in time (otherwise I’ll just use a car seat in a cady for the first few months and revert to our old minu once this kid is big enough). FWIW I had the vista as well but gave it away because we found ourselves only using the minu
r/Buyingforbaby • Anyone considering the new uppababy minu v3 for a newborn? ->It’s basically the car problem, I’ve realized. Or the warship problem, for the original: speed, cargo, toughness… pick two. Basically the ones that drive the best for two kids are very different from one plus ones unless you spend a lot for a hybrid (like the Uppa Baby Vista) which is decent but not the best at portability, not the best for two, and twice the cost of lesser options. The ones with the best ride have less cargo space unless they’re heavier, etc. Honestly, unless you have to walk up stairs to an apartment or travel a lot, weight isn’t really that much of an issue. Do make sure they’ll fit in your car. Something that seems crazy when you’re first buying is that these things have decent resale value from a car perspective (half your money after a few years but it’s still good). My advice is get what you need now and recognize there’s a huge used community so you can get other things you need (for solo baby travel get a city jogger) or when you need a wagon (honestly radio flyer is great) or if you need strollers for two or, god help you, three or more. One note, the infant ones are a waste, just get one that accepts a car seat. They won’t fit in an infant one for that long (6-9 months tops, less if they’re big). Oh, make sure it fits your body, too. These things are not automatically fun to drive and if you like walks, or you kid does… you could be doing this a lot. Make sure you’re not hunched over and that the handle situation isn’t uncomfortable
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->I have the vista V2, and adore it. Yes it's big, but I managed to get it in a 2005 Ford Festiva, with my baby in the baby seat. It was a squish, but it fits! Loved having something bigger so I could go into the shops and have heaps of basket room. Got the V2 because we planned on having kids close in age, but hubby lost his job, so that was put on hold. Love the bigger prams, especially as bubba is and has always been above 90th percentile in height. I got a Cruz off marketplace when I travelled solo to Qld to see my sister, and it was good, but even that I could tell the size difference, and missed my Vista.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Prams - did you regret getting a larger, heavy pram for your first baby? ->We actually just upgraded from a bravo to a vista! (Baby two is on the way, so wanted something with an option for double.) And let me tell you, this thing is like a Cadillac. It rides so smooth. Yes it’s large, but it’s also very very easy to steer with one hand which I can’t do well with the bravo. So far we’ve just had it on concrete and grass, but I think it would do well in gravel too. The storage basket underneath is spacious. I LOVE this thing. I never really had complaints about the bravo, it was fine. It’s a very solid middle of the pack stroller. But it’s like… you don’t know what you’re missing until you do. My sole complaint about it is that there’s no parent cup holder at the top. I like that the bravo has something built in where I can put my phone and water bottle. The vista doesn’t (nor does the Cruz). Accessories can be purchased of course but I think that’s a silly thing for them to have skipped on a thousand dollar stroller.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->I have the vista. I regret buying such a giant bulky stroller as we have traveled a lot with LO. I ended up buying a cheap travel stroller on Amazon and it’s been fantastic. But if I were to go back I would buy a solid travel stroller from the beginning. My friends have the bugaboo butterfly and it’s an awesome stroller. The travel stroller I have didn’t need adaptors for the car seat either, it just straps in and was completely solid with my car seat attached.
r/NewParents • Airplane travel with 4 month old… Stroller recommendations needed! ->I freaking love my Vista. Yes it's big, but it's just awesome. We bought it when my son was 18 months old after the first stroller I bought disintegrated (and it was a "highly recommended" mid-level brand) and I wish I'd bought it from the get-go. 5 years and another baby later, and it's still in near-perfect shape. For our second baby, I bought a new Mesa to pair with it, and having the entire system was so easy.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Go-to for Stroller system/travel system? [BC] ->I have both the Chicco stroller system and an uppa baby. I will say the smoothness of pushing the uppa baby is the difference between a Hyundai and a bmw. The uppa baby is quite large folded so I would look into requirements for that. It can fit in an equinox size suv. I do use both strollers for different situations. The uppa baby is large to maneuver through stores but totally doable. I have found that the uppa baby is fine in most conditions as well (gravel, grass etc).
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->See have the minu and the vista from uppababy. We walk to the grocery store so the vista is just amazing. Encountering rough road, the best. But the minu is quite a surprise, super easy to drive, I can fit more than I expected in the basket(I also use the back pocket and added a tray for myself. When using stairs I'm(5'4 130lbs women who never goes to the gym) able to just lift the stroller with baby in it by myself with its lightweight. On uneven gravel road it will be bumpy though.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->I have the Uppa and love it. My husband and I say all the time that we’d choose it all over again. It’s totally worth the price. We travel a lot too and did receive the Doona for travel. It’s excellent for travel to avoid bringing out hefty stroller and so we just check one piece and not a car seat and stroller base. I agree when another commenter that it is super low though so I could never use it as my daily stroller. They are both excellent for their different uses though!
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->We have the Uppababy Vista 2 and I trade off who is on top and who is on the bottom every day.
r/parentsofmultiples • Are twins happy in stacked prams? ->The Vista is great--I definitely wouldn't travel with it, though. I was a serious Doona hater until my baby was about 4 months old and we started to travel with him, and it was SO worth it. All the complaints are valid (it's a dumb little stroller and I looked ridiculous at 5'10" pushing it around; it's not the lightest-weight option; they grow out of it in a year) but ultimately were unimportant, because I simply would not have taken all the trips I took, especially alone, if I'd had to deal with more complicated gear. If your daily driver is a travel stroller, anytime you want to actually travel anywhere with it you've got to get the carseat out, get all the crap out of the storage basket, fold the stupid stroller, install the stupid carseat, get yourself into the car, then do it all again in reverse when you get out--and that's not adequately describing the emotional stress you feel as a new mom leaving your baby in the backseat of a taxi while you go put the stroller in the trunk. With the Doona, because there's no storage, I had all our stuff in a backpack, and just had to fold it down and lift it in to install, and I never had to be away from the baby for even a second. I know that sounds like a small thing, but it's not when you're a new parent. If you're traveling together it's less of an issue, but there were so many little trips to museums farther uptown or to the beach in the summer that I just wouldn't have taken otherwise. It made the first year so much more fun.
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->We were gifted an uppababy vista and when baby was using the bassinet attachment it worked for us. But we quickly started being annoyed by it being so big and heavy and hard to close. We got a Joovy Kooper and LOVE it. Lightweight. Opens and closes easily. Stays upright when folded. Can keep the snack tray attached when folded! Fits my 99%tile 2.5 year old when the uppababy doesn’t any more. It’s survived several airplane checked baggage handling without a cover bag just fine. Cannot recommend it enough!
r/NewParents • Switching to travel stroller for day to day ->Just a heads up - it’s not recommended for a baby to be in the car seat attachment on the stroller for a long period of time. There’s no regulations on angles of the seats when attached to the stroller and it can be dangerous to keep them in the seat at that angle for a long time. We have an uppababy vista with the bassinet and mesa car seat and I rarely used the car seat in the stroller (only for very quick trips into a store from the car) other than that I used the bassinet
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->I had a friend buy a Maxi Cosi stroller car seat combo (even though she had the money for an UppaBaby)… she still says that is her biggest regret purchase and wishes she bought the Vista or Cruz to this day. I have the Vista and tried her stroller and it just could not compare whatsoever. Rattled, squeaked and just did not feel sturdy whatsoever. The Vista is a powerhouse on absolutely any terrain - I love it! I know Maxi Cosi isn’t on your list but I will never regret spending the money on something I use everyday. Also you can buy UppaBaby strollers second hand off FB Marketplace if you want to save a few bucks. Totally worth it!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [On] UppaBaby Vista 3 vs. Evenflo Pivot / Graco ->We’re UPPAbaby people. Moved here with a 2 year old and a Vista. Now we’ve got two kids and have used the stroller a ton. Yes, elevators are broken somewhat often and it’s a pain to carry up/down stairs when that happens, but besides that it’s been great. Sidewalks are wide enough for anything, but the sidewalks also usually bumpy or cobblestone or some other mess, so having the comfort of a big nice stroller is ideal.
r/berlin • Good stroller for Berlin? ->getting a car seat that clips directly into the stroller is absolutely life changing - we did uppababy vista with the uppababy mesa car seat and it was great and we’re using the combo again for our second but i think any “system” that works together is great. absolutely zero complaints with the vista though.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->I have the uppa vista 2 and it was great when I had one child but once you have two, the weight limit is 30 lbs on those seats and my son is two and is 30 pounds already. Looking into another stroller now 🫠
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->I have the uppa baby vista with the piggy back but ended up getting a Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 with their ride along attachment and love it. I got it for airports because it’s much smaller and better for rental cars (I have three kids and often travel with grandparents… space is premium). I use it more than the uppa baby now. The ride along attachment is a little trickier to get on and off quickly, but just takes some practice. Uppa baby does have a lot more storage underneath, which I do miss sometimes with the baby jogger and could be a consideration for Disney. Baby jogger is easier to collapse in my opinion.
r/Mommit • Looking for Double Stroller Advice (Especially for Disney + Daily Use with a 3yo & 8mo) ->I’m in the same boat - decided to go with the Uppababy vista (used) and new aria car seat. I’d originally wanted to Nuna Pipa but didn’t buy before tariffs so priced out now.
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->UB customer care and warranty is incredible. I love our vista. I think the Minu would be too small for Disney personally (i liked using Bob Duallie @ DL) Same age gap (18 mos), now 4, 2.5, 9 mos For air travel I do a carrier, 2 backpack harnesses, and a single GB pockit. More versatile than a double stroller and longevity matters - while traveling 5 months ago any of the 3 kids could go in stroller or carrier and 2/3 could walk with handholding or in harness backpack
r/2under2 • Uppababy Minu Duo stroller or Nuna Trvl Duble? ->I have a vista v2 and a minu v3. The wheels on the minu are just not as heavy duty. It’s a travel stroller for a reason. We use for quick errands, travel, etc. If you plan to do a lot of walking, I wouldn’t recommend the minu for every day. We put MILES on our vista every day. I don’t know if the wheels on the minu are really meant for that.
r/NewParents • Product Regrets: 3mos in! ->We love our uppa Vista but I got it from eBay. I liked that the bassinet was rated for safe sleep so in the early months we used that for any over nights. I liked that it converted to a double, esp now that we have 2. A friend the other day mentioned how nice it was to use. The basket underneath is great. It is big and heavy though so we also have a small travel stroller I frequently used when there was just 1.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->Don't waste your money on vista. Quality is not there for the price tag, especially if you will end up using it a lot. Double seat feature is neat (that's precisely why i got mine in the first place), however, you will need a lot of accessories (e.g. seat that comes with standard model is different to one you'll need to accommodate two seats. They look almost identical though). It's also very bulky and hard to travel with.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->Looking for a small double stroller for my 5 month old and 3 year old who still really needs a stroller. I currently have the uppababy vista with every attachment basically. I want a side by side double. Which one should I get? Currently deciding between… Joovy kooper x2, Joovy kooper rs2, Wait for the uppababy minu duo, Zoe twin v2 The Zoe seems so expensive and I have a 20% coupon tax free for the Joovy. I’ve been looking on marketplace since I’ve been pregnant and nothing good has come up yet so I’m done waiting.
r/BabyBumps • Best travel double stroller ->I have the Uppababy Vista stroller system. We have taken Bean on walks with the dogs on not so even pavement... and she stays asleep!!! We had her in the bassinet attachement when she was younger, then we switched to the stroller seat with the infant insert when she was 2 months old, and now we sometimes leave her in the car seat when we do short walks. I love it. But to be fair, it is very bulky. But it's so worth it!!
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->My cousin has four kids and has owned one Uppa Baby Vista V2 for that entire time. She adores it. I had one gifted to me new on sale for around $1000CAD and my baby is due in February. *I remember cruising around town with my cousin’s baby in the Vista, and here’s what I liked:* - BIG WHEELS! I hate strollers with tiny wheels that get stuck in every pebble. You can optionally buy all terrain wheels for it if you enjoy a lot of trail walking - Very generous basket - Folds up easily and nicely. I have mine with the toddler seat and frame in the back of my Corolla Hatchback right now and it only takes half the trunk - The V2 comes with a bassinet that’s safe for overnight sleep, so I plan to use that as my daily bassinet in the house - Great turning radius! *Cons:* - It’s not the smallest stroller out there, and gets heavier as you add seats and kids - Price, obviously I’d get a daily stroller new if you have the budget, and buy a travel stroller used. While you *could* take a full sized stroller on a plane, it would be a hassle.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller/Travel System recommendations for FTM, baby due early January [ON] ->I have the Vista 2 on recommendations and love it. We're expecting our second with just over an 18 month age gap between the two so I'll likely use it as a double. This was not necessarily the plan but I remember when considering between this and the Cruz I was given the advice of getting the option to convert just in case. That being said I walk almost every day and live in an area where I regularly walk to do grocery shopping and some other shopping so I love the basket space. As others have commented it moves like a dream even when loaded up. When talking about lugging it in and out of the car, we have a Rav 4 so pretty good boot space but it does take up a lot of it. When our oldest was 7 months we ended up going to London and needed a travel pram, we invested in the Joolz Aer+ as I knew I'd be on my own with the baby a lot so I needed something that was light and easy to fold. It moves pretty well for a lightweight pram but definitely nowhere near as smooth or easy as the Vista. However, the joolz aer is now the pram that lives in our car, and I'm not sure how I feel about going back to dealing with Vista in the car when the second comes. We'll likely use it while little one is in the bassinet so we don't need to buy further attachments but past that point I think it will depend on how well our oldest takes to the scooter attachment. I definitely prefer the Vista as a sturdier pram and far easier to maneuver (especially when I'm also walking our dog), and do miss the basket space when using the Joolz Aer. However, if I wasn't in a position where I walked almost every day, sometimes multiple times a day, I feel like it would've become a dust collector since getting the travel pram. **This perspective may change in a few months when the second one comes.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Prams - did you regret getting a larger, heavy pram for your first baby? ->When we had our first we got the uppababy vista and clerk liing car seat. We were very against the uppababy initially just budget wise but it was the best one. We tested every stroller out there over 3-4 trips to different stores. I used it daily while on my mat leave for 18 months and it made hour long walks in piles of snow effortless. I was so grateful to have it. I'd recommend going in store and trying them out a couple of times. I found snuggle bugz really helpful when we went there. Best of luck and congratulations!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->We have the Uppababy Vista V2. I will say it is BULKY. Aside from taking up the entire trunk of the car, it also can barely fit in small doorways, elevators, and in small stores. I actually dread going into small places with this thing. I do love the suspension and how smooth it rides, but for city life in an elevator building I’d probably suggest going smaller and getting a Cruz (if you still want Uppababy) or a different stroller altogether like the Nuna Mixx.
r/beyondthebump • Best stroller/travel system ->We have the v2 and absolutely no issues being stacked. They don’t have assigned seating so they go where they go. I will walk beside the stroller sometimes if I want to see them both 😊
r/parentsofmultiples • Are twins happy in stacked prams? ->I don't live in Toronto, but I do live in Northern Ontario. I have the UPPAbaby Vista V2 with The Mesa V2 car seat. It's pushes beautifully and the basket underneath has so much room, it's great! Plus, it looks so pretty. HOWEVER, it's useless in the snow. Completely useless. If you just have an inch of snow, it'd be fine. That's not the case here. I see a couple comments mentioning the Cruz. I think it would be similar in the snow. Another important thing worth mentioning. My baby hated the Mesa infant car seat. He was a big baby at birth (10lbs). I found the whole chin to chest situation really bad. After talking to a few of my mom friends, apparently lots of babies do not enjoy this car seat?? Anyways, that was my experience with it. I wish I would have gone with a jogging type stroller like the UPPAbaby Ridge or the Thule Urban Glide (and definitely a different car seat) :)
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->We really love our uppababy vista. The stroller itself is sturdy, feels very secure and is easy to move around/navigate. I absolutely love the bassinet attachment, we use it all the time for walks and it works great. We bought our Vista second hand, if you’re noticing it’s sold out in stores I would look for one on marketplace - they are well made and it retains its quality very well, so buying used is not really an issue. As for car seat, I had looked into the Mesa however heard mixed reviews on it, as well as seeing that many babies outgrow it very quickly. We opted for a Chicco keyfit seat and bought the adaptor to make it work with the Vista. I’m very glad we opted for this! Our girl is in the 99th percentile for length/height so I’m sure the Mesa would’ve been outgrown very quickly. And with the adapter the car seat clips into the stroller super easily. We also bought the adapter from marketplace for $10.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->Uppababy vistais a tank and they have the best customer service! Our frame got damaged while travelling (purchased the travel bag) and I used the app to text them and they mailed me a brand new frame to where we were staying!!
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->I ended up just taking our uppababy vista and it worked just fine!! The wheels handled the cobblestones amazingly. Had no trouble getting through anywhere. Thanks for your advice!
r/toddlers • Best Stroller for tall 2 year old for Europe/ cobblestone ->Better construction. I'm currently using a cheap stroller to travel with because I don't trust the airline with my uppababy. My baby doesn't like sleeping in it because the posture and ventilation isn't as good, it rides way tougher, the sun visor doesn't do much, it's harder to fold/unfold, etc. Meanwhile, my Vista is about 10 years old (it's the old V1 model) and still cruises like butter on tough sidewalks and little man can nap in there no problem. Also the bassinet attachment is approved for safe newborn overnight sleep. My son slept in it every night for his first few months.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->Uppababy vista! Can face you and has a pretty good recline so safer for building neck control
r/NewParents • Parent Facing travel stroller ->I obviously haven't used the Minu V3, but we've used the V2 + bassinet with two newborns, and it's great!
r/Buyingforbaby • Anyone considering the new uppababy minu v3 for a newborn? ->Loved my Vista best stroller built like a tank and we literally took it everywhere and with 2 kids. Sold it for almost what we paid 8 years later. Had a Glux for around town, small activities. No complaints about it. Unless you need the back seats why aren't you folding them down instead of taking it apart?
r/KiaEV9 • Fitting Full size Stroller in the trunk ->Uppababy Vista is my ride or die! Plus it converts into a double stroller if you ever need it to. :)
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->I love having a travel system. I love the vista for groceries, walking, zoo trips, less so for mall shopping because it’s wide. Overall I like it, but I hate that it is huge when folded and hard to fit in the vehicle.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Go-to for Stroller system/travel system? [BC] ->Buy a second hand one, In 2023 I bought a 2018 vista for $375 and it is so smooth (but yes it’s huge, takes up our entire suv trunk) my only thought is how much less I use a stroller as my son started walking but maybe that’s just me. He became obsessed with a $20 push car and our stroller collected dust lol
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->I use the v2 for my 9mo twins. I use the toddler seat and rumble seat combo (used the mesa car seats when they were smaller). I love it and it’s great for all the outings we do. At least where I live, using a side by side would be so frustrating to fit through doorways, aisles, sidewalks, etc. we borrowed a friend’s for a week during vacation for a week and it was great for outdoors but going in buildings was tough. I alternate who goes on top vs bottom, they don’t seem to mind at all!
r/parentsofmultiples • Are twins happy in stacked prams? ->We have the Vista and it’s huge. It really isn’t conducive to a condo because it’ll take up a lot of room somewhere near your front door and even when folded, it’s not compact. Ours lives in the garage between our two cars so we have space for it but if it had to live inside the house if we had a condo it would take up way too much room. It is however a very nice stroller to push, it’s smooth and turns easily, drives well with one hand, has a big basket, comes with lots of things like the bug nets and rain cover, etc. but honestly if you don’t think you’ll have a second baby I wouldn’t go for the vista. I would consider the Uppababy Cruz which is basically a smaller version of the vista, or the Minu which is even smaller. Those would be more appropriate for a single baby household without a ton of space. I personally do love Uppababy products so definitely check out the Cruz or Minu. A couple others to consider would be the Bugaboo Dragonfly, Cybex EOS, Maxi Cosi Zelia and Baby Jogger City Select. All of these come with a bassinet attachment which I personally think is essential for newborns because they lie completely flat. The toddler seats recline but not fully flat which isn’t safe new newbies, and even once your baby has head control they don’t always like being strapped into the toddler seat. Another thing to consider is if you will attach your car seat to the stroller. If you plan to travel I assume you’ll be taking your car seat + stroller with you so having a stroller that is compatible with your seat is important. Have you picked out your car seat yet? That will help narrow down the stroller selection.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller/Travel System recommendations for FTM, baby due early January [ON] ->I have the UppaBaby Vista with the bassinet + stroller seat and a Clek Liing car seat. I chose the Clek over the Mesa (and I love my Clek car seat) so I just use small adaptors to click the car seat onto the stroller when I’m doing short trips. Very convenient. My baby LOVED her UppaBaby bassinet and we used it every day for 4 months. I know some people say they aren’t worth it but they absolutely were for us. We also took it with us camping and to a friend’s cottage twice and that’s where she slept overnight since they are rated safe for sleep (not all stroller bassinets are), so for us this was a nice bonus as we didn’t have to bring a pack & play while she was still small enough to fit in the bassinet. But you can buy them on FB marketplace for like $50 so I wouldn’t buy a Vista just for the bassinet attachment. Bugaboo and Thule both make full size strollers with bassinets and are very high quality products and are cheaper than the Vista. You’d have to buy the car seat separately. I personally don’t think the UppaBaby vista is the holy grail. It’s nice and sturdy and great to push around, it has nice attachments like the rain cover and bug nets, etc but there are many other brands with comparably good quality products like Bugaboo and Thule, even Cybex makes a great stroller + bassinet combo.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->I have the UppaBaby Minu V2 and we like it a lot. We do have the Vista also and used that when our daughter was a newborn but ever since she got a bit bigger we have pretty much exclusively used the Minu.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Can anyone recommend a relatively safe/nontoxic travel stroller you like and is suitable for every day use? ->I can’t speak to that specific Nuna model, but every Nuna product we’ve had has been an absolute luxurious dream compared to other brands. When sold our Nuna Mixx and bought a Vista, and honestly the vista is crap in comparison. Every single aspect of the Nuna is nicer. It’s easier to clean, easier to fold, easier to maneuver, seats are more comfortable for my kids, seats are longer and fit my kids longer, the recline functions are better, and the sun shades are much bigger. If Nuna had this option when my second was born; we would have bought it.
r/2under2 • Side by side double stroller recommendations ->Used Uppababy Vista V2 off FBM might be in your budget and has all the features you talked about! If you’re only having one kid, then get a used Cruz.
r/BuyItForLife • Stroller Recommendations ->I wouldn't get a travel stroller as a primary stroller if you're doing a ton of walking. I will live and die by our travel stroller for trips and planes, but even a high end travel stroller feels flimsier, is less comfortable, and has a much smaller basket than full size strollers. For reference, we have a Vista and the Yoyo for travel, and I have zero regrets.
r/Buyingforbaby • Looking at all the stroller choices is making me want to pull my hair out! ->Id do option 1. I went through the same decision recently and honestly all travel strollers i hated or didn’t recline well which we wanted for naps etc. With option 1, I’d imagine you have more space underneath the stroller for backpacks. This was a gamechanger for when I traveled with LO. We stuck with our UB vista v2 and our carryon items mostly fit underneath the stroller. Got the travel bag so felt reassured that even if something happened, the stroller was under warranty.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller/Car Seat Strategy [on] ->We currently have a single travel stroller and will need a double one right around the time this comes out in Canada, so I am super appreciative to learn about this! I don’t know how much the Vista weighs with the double stroller attachments on (toddler seat and rumble seat for example), but the Minu is their travel stroller so I’m really interested to hear more about this and if there are other features that make it more travel friendly than the Vista. I have the Vista and traveled with it once (as a single)… and just… never again lol.
r/2under2 • Uppababy Minu Duo (looks like Zoe Twin copy), versus Vista ->I think the Vista is great for city living but I don't think it'd be as useful for rural living. It handles "off road" if you need it occasionally but I imagine there are better options if that's going to be your primary use. It's also so bulky, so it's not something you're gonna like loading in and out of the car. This is all based on my experience with the V1, so perhaps the V3 handles better?
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller Recommendations [on] ->I have an uppa Vista, which I converted to a double and a baby jogger (single child). The baby jogger is great when I only have one kid with me. Light weight and can unfold with one hand. My uppa baby, god I love it. I love that I can change the way both seats face. I love the amount of underneath space I have. Imagine going to the zoo, we bring our diaper bag, lunch box along with water bottles and other stuff, and everything fits underneath. It is a pain to take it apart and load/unload, but so worth it. It rides like a dream. I love that the seats recline to basically lay flat, so they can nap comfortably. I know I was going to do back to back kids, so I got the bundle and was easily able to convert it to a double. It's easy to go shopping with (as opposed to a side by side) but it is long with both kids and I have to make sure I have clearance lol. I've used it for 2.5 years now and never had a complaint or issue. I thought my husband was crazy for wanting that stroller but I'm so glad I let him pick the stroller.
r/BabyBumps • Which stroller do you use and why? ->I guess I can’t really compare but one thing I regret about my Uppa vista 2 is if you have 2 kids and one is in a bassinet, the bassinet has to be on the bottom. So I don’t think I’ll even use it as a double pram! If I had my time again I’d get a double that can have the bassinet on top OR just a lightweight one and get a double one day if I needed. Another thing that annoys me about the vista is when it folds down the basket folds up so you can’t leave anything in it. My friend has an older RedsBaby and the basket stays basically in place so you can leave your nappy bag in it etc. The one thing I love about the vista though is the wheels and steering is so good and it’s nice to have the big basket, turning up to a sport or something I can shove camping chairs and the lot underneath and trek across the grass. So I don’t think I’d ever want a cheap pram with inferior wheels.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Prams - did you regret getting a larger, heavy pram for your first baby? ->I wish I’d have known that mine wasn’t Disney compatible! I have the uppababy vista 2 and it’s not easy to just collapse and put back up when we got on buses. It’s not hard but you have to take the seat out and all that. So we were holding the stroller part, the seat and her. HARD! I will get a cheaper one just for Disney when we go back. Look for blog posts on that, people list ones that are super easy to maneuver and travel with.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->Doona doesn’t even pass safety standards in Canada, so I don’t understand why they’re so popular. We got the UppaBaby Cruz because I plan on taking lots of walks in our neighborhood that has some old sidewalks. I’ve babysat my friends’ kid and their Vista was so smooth on our sidewalks. I don’t plan to have kids so close in age that we need the double decker Vista, so that’s why we went with the slightly more compact Cruz
r/BabyBumps • Best stroller/car seat/combo ->Agreed with the comments that it is VERY lifestyle dependent. We live in a city, walking miles a day, use a car about once a week, so wanted something durable. We also knew we would likely try for a second child relatively quickly, so wanted something that could turn into double stroller. We went with the Uppababy Vista, it has been perfect for our needs. But if I was in/out of the car more, walking less, I would have gone with a lighter stroller. I loved having the ability to pop the car seat from stroller base to car. I also loved the bassinet option for walks, but I don’t know that we *needed* it, we stopped using that around 3 months.
r/BabyBumps • Confused by strollers, what do you recommend? ->We had a vista v2 and it was way too heavy, got a bugaboo butterfly and never looked back, that thing is so easy to use and light as a feather.
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->We just bought an older used vista v1 for $160 with all the attachments and extra seats. It’s a beast and I’m so excited to use it! I’d say do something like this, see if you like it, then invest in a new one. We couldn’t justify spending $1000+ up front.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller Recommendations [on] ->We loooove our Cruz. Its so easily maneuverable and easy to carry folded. But if you’re planning on a second kid, why not go for the vista? It’s a bit longer and heavier than the Cruz, but definitely still compact enough it’s very easy as a single stroller. Then when the time comes you can do a bassinet and seat option. We will also be getting the minu v3 eventually. We also love that the bassinet for the Cruz/vista is sleep approved, and our maxi-cosi car seat can be used with the stroller as well (with adapters).
r/Buyingforbaby • Looking at all the stroller choices is making me want to pull my hair out! ->Strollers are like shoes, you *can* have just one kind, you probably need different kinds for different situations. We ended up with I think 5 but in retrospect 3 would have been fine. **Babyzen yoyo** for flights and airports and very smooth shopping centre floors. **UppaBaby Vista double f**or 2 kids and for shopping trips (huge cargo sapce under) **Mountain Buggy Swift** for normal every day walks with one kid: this one is the king of prams, 3 wheel design, pneumatic tyres, perfect handle you can push with one hand, super easy to fold. If I could have only one this would be my one.
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->I had an Uppababy vista v2, and it was great for the bucket seats, but I pretty quickly wished I had a side by side set up for the bassinets. Ultimately we switched to a side by side when they were about 1. Ultimately, the kiddos didn’t care who was on top or bottom, but it bothered me I couldn’t get a good view of the “lower deck.” Also, maneuverability became an issue once they got over about 20lbs. If I were shelling out that much on a stroller again, I would have gone with the Bugaboo Donkey.
r/parentsofmultiples • Are twins happy in stacked prams? ->Same age gap for mine, due late June! I was so adamantly against spending so much money on the Uppababy, but it honestly has been a game changer. of all the other in-line double strollers I tested, the UppaBaby Vista moved the smoothest. I refused to buy it new new, so I scoured Facebook Matketplace for a new or barely used, and got the V3 new still in the box for 2/3 of the original price. Someone had gotten an extra for their baby shower??!! Crazy. Highly recommend!
r/2under2 • Recommend double strollers? ->Get the Uppababy Cruz or Vista. They also have the Mesa carseat, but we used it with the Chicco Keyfit carseat with an adaptor. The adaptor was 30 bucks maybe? It is worth every penny. It is just designed thoughtfully, built well, and works fabulously. Mine is nearly 10 years old and still works great. Will be using it again for this baby.
r/BabyBumps • Best stroller/car seat/combo ->I got the UppaBaby Vista because I live in NYC. It’s my SUV. I needed a stroller that could travel miles every day, that could carry bags and bags of groceries and whatnot, that moves well on pavement and cobblestones and dirt paths, etc. I love it, but I do want a lighter stroller for very quick errands or leisure walks.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->Everyone has different needs. I live in the city, so my needs are different than someone with a house. Everyone is going to have different needs. I happen to have a car, but there are more miles on my stroller than on my car. People here talk about an expensive stroller being a "status symbol," but I've been using my Vista for over 5 years...and when the frame cracked about 4 years in, they sent me a brand new one immediately. It's bulky, but I like how it converted to a double because I knew I wanted a second. I went straight to convertible car seats, not infant seats. We were more likely to go on long walks, so I valued the bassinet. We would walk for hours, so the flat surface is safer than the car seat position, and we could bring the stroller back home with the kids asleep. We walked to the pediatrician, the grocery store, daycare, etc, so we weren't going in and out of the car. If you are going in and out of the car more, you are more likely to value the car seat conversion. Also, in nice weather, if we wanted to sit outside, it was in a park. So the baby was in the flat bassinet. If you have a backyard and want to sit outside in the backyard, you can have the baby in a pack n play, or even inside in the crib with a monitor. We couldn't go outside without the baby.
r/BabyBumps • Confused by strollers, what do you recommend? ->Uppababy Cruz and Vista are really smooth rides that can handle a variety of terrain and the strollers are quite durable. Nuna IME is not a smooth ride at all and has a low backboard so they can't fit children as tall as the Uppababies can. Depending on the walking you are doing, I like the Joolz Aer+ to keep in my car when we go places. We used the Uppababy exclusively the first 6 months and now use the Uppababy for neighborhood walks/going to the park and longer excursions, and the Joolz for day to day, in and out of the car stuff. Uppababy also has a HUGE basket. Oh I've just seen will be going on buses/subway. Get something like the Joolz Aer+, Yoyo, Bugaboo Butterfly. They are compact travel strollers that are good. Not as smooth of a ride as the Uppababy, alas, but they're all excellent. Joolz and Bugaboo are one hand folds which was important to me when choosing. Joolz has the larger basket but it's very much not grocery shopping sized. Many people love the Yoyo and it's the smallest but it felt dinky to me.
r/NewParents • What do I get with luxury/expensive strollers (uppababy, Nuna) over affordable ones (Chicco, Graco) ->I love my Uppababy Vista. Highly recommend. I am getting a Doona for baby #2. I resisted for baby #1 and now I kind of regret it because we could have reused it. The Doona is just so handy for quick trips, day care drop offs, etc. I’m a stickler about not leaving them in the car seat unnecessarily though, so other than super quick stuff, we’ll use the Vista bassinet which we used the heck out of last time for walks, longer outings, etc.
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->Uppababy vista is amazing
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->If you just want to get around the block, you can buy a cheap second hand baby carrier to tide you over until making a larger stroller purchase. If money is an issue, I’d also look at Buy Nothing or other mom groups in your area as someone is probably giving one away for free. My favorite feature in baby items is not having to pay for them. We got the fancy vista v2 because I put more miles on my stroller than my car. I liked it had a sleep safe basinet and by baby had freedom of movement rather than being confined in a car seat stroller. We use it to make quick grocery runs on foot and also walk trails. It is super smooth and high quality. It’s bulky, hard to get in and out of the car, and a pain to maneuver in restaurants or stores with narrow aisles. It would not be something I would chose if I was super car dependent, didn’t baby wear in stores, or wanted to jog when the baby got older. With our second baby we got a dinky plastic car seat stroller base thing that was compatible with his infant car seat. That was great for popping in and out of stores quickly, but I’m glad we had the more robust stroller for pleasure strolls.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Moms, what attracted you to buy that stroller? ->I live in a city, and it’s perfect for using the subway, going up the elevator to our apartment, and zipping down the sidewalks. We also take Baby to lots of restaurants, museums, coffee shops etc with it and it’s perfect to tuck in next to us. The Doona has a good rating as a car seat, but not great. We don’t drive too frequently so I felt okay making that decision to sacrifice car seat safety for the convenience of the tiny stroller. We also have a used Uppa Vista, which we also love, buts it’s not as nimble.
r/NewParents • Has anyone tried the Doona car seat/stroller? Is it really worth the hype? ->We have an Uppababy Vista that we love! We also have a jogging stroller. We take the Uppa with us on trips. Its basket is huge, the suspension is great and it folds up good for us. We loved the bassinet and car seat attachments when he was younger, and now that we’re due with our second, we’re happy that it can convert to a double.
r/NewParents • What kind of/how many strollers do people have? ->Uppababy Vista is great. Great for travelling too, with the travel bag.
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->Some people need a travel stroller because their regular everyday stroller is way to heavy/bulky to travel with. I have the Uppababy Vista V2 and I've done UK holidays with it when travelling in a car with a massive boot, but I wouldn't dream of taking it abroad. Way too big.
r/UKParenting • Travel stroller? ->I’m using the vista (handed down) and found it has the capability to be transformed into a double if/when needed. Maybe something like that would be helpful?
r/NewParents • How long did you use your stroller? ->I have a used Uppababy Vista that is 10 years old and my baby is the third to use it and it’s still great. We walk every day for over an hour in rain and snow and whatever. We do grocery runs and load up the basket. We used the Mesa with it and transitioned out when baby was 8 months, we used it maybe once a month to go to various doctor appts or visit family because we walk everywhere. If you’re going to use a stroller daily, you should invest in a quality one. And used is still good if it’s kept in good condition.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Overwhelmed - Stroller Recommendation [ON] ->i went to nordstrom and tested them all out. they had a lot of strollers on display. there's also a babylist showroom in beverly hills, so i popped in there to check out basically everything else. everyone i know RAVED about the uppababy vista, but i absolutely hated it when i tried it out in store (and i kept coming back to it and trying to "get it" and just couldn't!). everyone also told me how great the doona was, but i also hated that because it's super short and i'm tall. i ended up with nuna mixx next + nuna pipa carseat and have no complaints so far!
r/BabyBumps • How did you choose a stroller and car seat? ->If you plan on two kids get one that can expand to two. We ended up buying Mesa then sold and bought Vista.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->I echo Uppababy. Everything is just so well made and easy to use. You can find awesome, lightly used ones on Marketplace if they are really sold out?
r/BabyBumpsCanada • BEST STROLLER/BASSINET/CARSEAT COMBO FOR 1st TIME MOM IN TORONTO? [on] ->We decided to go with the uppababy vista. I wanted something that was sturdy and smooth. I got the bassinet attachment and will be doing the nuna pipa car seat with it. I was not impressed with all the graco and nuna strollers. They felt very flimsy when I tried them in stores.
r/BabyBumps • Confused by strollers, what do you recommend? ->I got the vista 3 and love it. I had a c section and waited until 6 weeks post op and was able to lift it in and out of our ute (I am a small girl, pre baby size 6 and noodle arms) I just take off the top and seperate them so I’m only lifting like the bottom and wheels. To push and turn the pram it’s a dream, the storage underneath is amazing I honestly have been really happy with it
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Prams - did you regret getting a larger, heavy pram for your first baby? ->I have the Cruz v2 and Mesa system and absolutely hate it. Baby gets so overheated in the Mesa and it’s really hard to get him in and out. He outgrew it by 5 months and he’s barely 50th percentile. The Cruz v2 I used with a Snugseat. The Snugseat also overheats him, even when he’s wearing one layer and bare arms he gets overheated at 15C outside or walking in the mall, but when I don’t use it, he always slumps and the fabric is so rough it gives him a rash. It’s also hard AF and uncomfortable without the Snugseat. It’s also difficult to maneuver around and so bulky when folded up. Going around doctor’s visits or narrow roads I have to pull the stroller up and scootch it over constantly. It’s annoying having to swap to forward from back facing just to fold it up. The breaks are finicky and don’t click if you just quickly tap sometimes. Also I can’t clean it or wash it. Can’t even machine wash the Snugseat, and when I surface clean it, it smells like wet dog?? The wheels keep getting gravel stuck in them and I have to dig it out all through spring. I can’t fit anything in the car once the stroller is in there. It’s just so huge but it can’t even do two kids like the Vista. Also the sunshade, though the coverage is decent, unless it’s 100% open there’s no ventilation as the ventilation panel gets bunched up. Another reason this stroller is unusable in summer. The only upside is the undercarriage space and 30 lb weight limit, plus lots of recline positions (only really beneficial for newborns). Yeah I hate this stroller, I hate that I listened to all the posts recommending it. Planning on selling the set and getting a new Nuna one. That mesh back and Tencell bamboo removable cover seems like a huge improvement so I can actually use a stroller indoors/in the summer.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller/Travel System recommendations for FTM, baby due early January [ON] ->We started with an Uppababy Mesa car seat combo stroller for baby #1. It’s easy to use and you can plop the car seat right in there. The frame is lightweight and easy to collapse. I think that one only has single baby capability, but they make one that you can upgrade to a double if needed, which might be the way to go if you are planning on having more. Our second child 3 years old has a neurological disability and handles like a baby, so we had to take that into consideration when baby #3 arrived for a double stroller due to being a larger sized baby (we want to avoid using a wheelchair as long as he’s small enough). We got the Veer switch and roll for that due to higher weight capacity and sturdiness. It has a converter attachment for our uppababy seat. The wheels are a bit bigger so it’s better for curbs and terrain. The width is a little wider than most strollers but can fit through doorways, it just takes some precision. It’s heavier compared to our single stroller, but not too bad. Overall we like it (we didn’t use other double strollers to compare though).
