Agree about the Wonderfold W4. Incredible wagon, but it’s like 65 pounds and takes the entire trunk. It’s technically portable, but you better be strong and have a big car. For that reason, best use is walks originating at home where it can be stored.
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->I LOVE my wonderfold 4 seater and sold our double Bob stroller because we never used it when compared to the Wonderfold I love that it has seats that can hold a shit ton of weight I love that the seats are raised so it’s actually comfortable I love all of the storage I love that it fits thru every standard door I love our wagon and I never thought I would lol ETA- it is heavy as all hell and takes nearly the entirety of our empty minivan back lol if I was still driving my Civic there is no chance I would be able to use the Wonderfold outside of my house Second ETA- we go to the zoo nearly weekly lol so it’s a very useful tool. I use it primarily walking to the local pool and in the zoo, so these were a huge plus to me. I do not use in stores, etc
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->We have a W4, and as much as I love it, it’s EXTREMELY heavy!! I literally can’t use it on my own. 🥲 definitely not for traveling.
r/Autism_Parenting • Autism Dad. I'm designing a travel friendly stroller for bigger kiddos, Need Your Input! ->There is no extra storage if your kids are sitting in the wagon. The stroller actually has more storage. If you want a wagon to just haul stuff, then it can be nice but you don't need to buy a fancy stroller wagon for that. We have a stroller wagon, it is bulky and awful to push with two kids(worse than the stroller) but it was helpful for the aquarium so kids can stand up on the wagon and see into the tanks. Outside of that, I don't think it is very helpful for anything else. I think the 80$ wagon from Costco is just as good. The 4 kid wonderfold is about the size of a pack and play, it is too big to push around in public.
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->I picked up a Wonderfold X4 used. I have had it for 3 years and will sell it for the same amount I paid for it. It's a pain to take places but I use it a lot for pre-bedtime walks. The kids can lay down in it still (they are 6 and 3) now. I used to take it to the Farmer's Market because we do a lot of grocery shopping there. My oldest was kind of a lazy kid for a while when it came to walking so it was great for that time. My youngest is a walking champ so they are now evenly matched. I'll probably sell the wagon soon. I was happy to pay $150 for it but would have never paid retail.
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->My kids aged out of our Wonderfold wagon a couple years ago but I still find uses for it! We bring it to the beach, the splash pad (we walk there), and we use it every Halloween to keep a cooler, coats, and candy. It was a tight squeeze in my Q5, but now I have a Q7 and it fits fine. I also don’t have any issue lifting it in to my car, but it is cumbersome.
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->We have a 5yo, 3yo, and 18mo and pregnant with #4. We have a double stroller and a wonderfold wagon that seats four. It didn’t feel necessary when we had just the 5yo and 3yo (back when they were a newborn and 20mo), as the double stroller more than met our needs. The wagon for us now is more of a luxury - we use the wagon mostly when we are walking long distances where the 5yo may need to ride in addition to the 3yo and 18mo. Also I don’t think I would want a kid younger than like 16-18mo to ride in the wagon unless you always strap them into the seat. It’s also way heavier to pick up, collapse, and actually doesn’t fit in our van without removing the handle. I never collapse or load it in the wagon, my husband does that and does the primary part of pushing it. But it is extremely nice to have when we go places like the zoo!! I should mention that my husband got an amazing deal on the wagon, I think it’s typically like $800 or something. He got it open box for something like $200-300. I don’t think we would have gotten it if we paid full price but who knows! When #4 is born we’ll need to use both the stroller and the wagon for a while to accommodate all the kiddos until he’s big enough to ride in the wagon! Editing to add that we have a Toyota sienna so it’s not like we have a small car. Though we do have to have all the seats up!
r/Parenting • Stroller Wagons Worth the Hype? ->I thank you and your wife for your service. We have a double Bob stroller, an Uppababy Cruz, and a Wonderfold wagon, and we got all of them for like less than 1/2 sticker price used on facebook marketplace. The best part is we can probably sell them when we're done for nearly the same price.
r/daddit • My wife has a crazy addiction to buying strollers. So we’ve tried em all. ->I have a Wonderfold, without seats, I think it’s great for big outings like the zoo, outdoor sports games, things like that. I like that the kids can sit up or take a nap, they can have all their things and have a cozy spot. When my older kids had field day at school I brought my wagon for my toddler so she could sit and have a snack, color, play with toys, or veg on her tablet when she got tired of running around, it really was perfect.
