We’ve got the baby jogger city tour (not sure if it’s 2) that we took on an interstate plane trip. Took it on as carry on with no issues. It’s now our car pram- takes up hardly any space, easy to put up/down and able to lay almost completely flat so good for naps. Only downside is the small basket underneath. Great pram with no issues so far

Baby jogger city tour lays completely flat and fits the requirements for carry on or Qantas. We have flown with it before and use it as our car pram because it’s so compact. Only downside is the basket underneath is small, but if you have a back pack it’s not a problem

We got car seat adapters so we can attach our cyber car seat to our one-hand-fold baby jogger stroller. We decided on this over the doona as: - I heard babies grow out of the doona quickly. This way we can swap the car seat if that happens. - I heard that the doona was very heavy. This way we only have the car seat to carry. - you don’t need to detach a chair from the stroller in order to attach the car seat, so you only need to carry one item if wheeling it anywhere (this is specifically why we got a baby jogger) From an engineering perspective the doona does look super cool, but it seemed a high price for something that may only be used for a short time and will be hard to sell/buy second hand (as a car seat).

Maybe check out the baby jogger city tour 2. It’s travel friendly and light. There are adapters for a baby jogger or graco infant seat. It doesn’t have a bassinet function but does lay flat with adjustable calf support. I was a nanny for family who had it and while I didn’t take it on hikes, I had no issue pushing it on non-paved park trails. If I was you, I would purchase a stroller that meets your other needs and then decide later if you still need a more heavy duty stroller for hiking.

The baby jogger city tour 2 has a full flat recline and can have car seat adaptors added to make it a travel system! It folds pretty small and fits into a bag which could go in the overhead bin. The ergo baby metro or metro + fold up small enough to probably get into a large bag you could store in the overhead bin. It also has a full recline and can be car seat compatible! These are the two I’m looking at :)

I went with uppababy vista for our first baby because we planned on having more kids and the options to expand made sense for us. Highly recommend. Price tag is worth it and then some. Now that I’m on baby number two (3yo and newborn) I’m using the whole set again, except swapped to a Nuna car seat because I gave my Mesa to a friend who is still using it so another friend gave me her Nuna ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It is NOT travel friendly. We lugged it on a trip when my son was 10 months and it was a hassle. We bought an umbrella stroller (baby jogger city tour2 in costal) immediately after that trip and never looked back. Another word of caution - it has a large footprint so you need the storage space for it. We keep it in the garage or tucked into a corner of our dining room if we have to bring it in... but it’s definitely not for compact spaces/ small cars/ limited storage. Also note - I use the bassinet on a stand in my bedroom as baby’s sleep space for now and will transition her to our crib in the existing nursery when she’s ready and my son is settled in to his “big boy” room (he’s still in the nursery with a toddler rail on the crib).

I went with Baby Jogger City Tour 2 because it's really compact, we've had it in the overhead locker on several Ryanair flights. It was also half the price of other travel ones I looked at. It lies flat for naps and nappy changing on the go and we just use a Snooze Shade when required because nothing I found had a canopy that was good enough. If you go somewhere very sunny there are also points of the day where no canopy will really do the job. It's a travel stroller so the wheels are obviously not going to compete with something like a Nipper, we also use Out n About at home but it's been completely fine for trips including cobbled Italian streets. I just love that it lies flat and goes in the overhead locker so we can use it the whole time at the airports.

Definitely invest in a good pram first since they generally last longer and more sturdy but I would get it second hand. Not worth paying thousands of dollars if a second hand one does the trick! I initially wanted the bugaboo but I couldn’t justify myself paying thousands of dollars for brand new one and I felt awful asking my parents to buy it since they were offering to buy a pram as a gift. So we decided on the steelcraft which we had no issues with and used it up till bubs was about 3 then we purchased a travel stroller (baby jogger tour 2) to travel overseas. When I was pregnant with my second, we saw a second hand bugaboo for sale and purchased it. No regrets at all and I did a lot of research on that specific model and they are the best in my opinion for “off roading”. But it all comes down to how many kids you are planning to have, their age gap, and how often you use the pram/stroller. Our kids are 4 years a part so getting any double pram was useless since our 4 almost 5 year old (15kgs) would be too heavy for the second seat anyways. Most prams seat limit are probably between 17-23kgs so keep that in mind and check the limit. Prams are good for going on your daily walk or big trips like to the zoo or a park since it will be easier to push on uneven ground, more comfortable and generally have much more storage compared to the strollers. Strollers are great for travel and bigger kids. We used it when we had to run to the shops quickly or going out for lunch. Something easy to take out quickly but can be purchased later down the track.

I am traveling to Europe with my 5 month old in a couple of weeks and after trying every single travel pram I could lay my hands on I have bought the bambini paris - it has a very easy one hand fold and unfold (so many I tried had additional clips for the unfold), has a lie flat seat where the recline is controlled by a lever not a strap, has a decent seat length including adjustable foot rest, has a peep window in the hood (a must for me since I'm not really used to bubs facing away from me yet), comes with a travel bag and is meant to be fine in the overhead locker (haven't tested this out yet!). It also has a lap bar and the seat feels decently comfortable. I've been on a couple of short outings with it in the last few days, and the handling seems okay so far. It's also currently on sale on the Bambini website. Baby Kingdom seem to have the best selection of travel prams to try out. I spent a while there a couple of weeks ago testing the folding etc. I remember liking the baby jogger - according to my notes it was the unfold that put me off and the recljne was one of thr adjustable strap types. I think I tried the joolz too but I can't remember what my issue with it was - maybe I had just already set on the Bambini by then

I was given a used Baby Jogger City Tour and it's really great; It totally saved us on a trip to visit family 5 hours away, and was easy to pack because of the size. This one is in the travel stroller category (folds like a suitcase size, versus an umbrella stroller with 2 handles that folds long and narrow). I'm really happy with it, and I'm happy to have it over the classic umbrella stroller.

The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 is a good in-store option with full recline - Baby Bunting will price beat Amazon which tends to have it a slight discount. We’ve used ours for multiple international trips, never a problem carrying it on. The only downside is the basket is a bit small.

We have the baby jogger and it's travelled the world with us since bub was 9mo and most recently at 21mo and it's been perfect. Small basket is annoying but that's the price of having a pram which is light and folds small. No issues with having it in the overhead on domestic or international flights (4 different airlines), it folds and opens one handed and the back can lie completely flat which made it brilliant for napping on the go. I also think the sunshade is a decent size for a travel pram. I'm sure they're all great and this is the only travel pram I've owned but it's really wonderful. We keep it in the car when we're not travelling and it's an ideal every day pram for my now toddler, she can climb in and out herself so gets to decide when she wants to rest her legs at the zoo or whatever.

Oh man, I remember the stroller decision all too well. My advice, narrow down to the few you’d like the most and then buy used. Don’t waste your money buying new. You have more time than you need to set up Facebook marketplace alerts and wait for a good deal to come up. You’ll want to buy the car seat new, but you can get adapters to match to a different brand if needed. Also, spending less money takes the pressure off buying a stroller you’ll use forever, and (if you have the space) allows you to buy different strollers for different purposes. At first we bought a Maxi Cosi stroller/car seat package (new but deep discount), but the stroller kind of sucked. So we kept the car seat and sold the basically new stroller and found a good deal on a second (or third?) hand UppaBaby, which we liked because it had a really nice bassinet attachment. Bassinet was great for the first few months, but ultimately the stroller was bulkier than we wanted. When our daughter was able to sit up on her own, we switched to a much more compact Baby Jogger (not to be confused with a jogging stroller) that became our “travel stroller” (bought new in box but for a steep discount on Facebook Marketplace). Shortly after we lucked into a very worn looking but super sturdy Bob Jogging stroller as a hand-me-down from a friend. Our daughter is almost 3 and we still have these two to this day and have been using them over 2 years. The Bob sits in our garage and we take it on walks around the neighborhood. The Baby Jogger stays in our car, and we use that when we drive somewhere or travel out of town. We live in a pretty walkable area so we actually use the Bob more often, but the Baby Jogger is surprisingly durable and has taken a lot of abuse, getting a lot of get checks and a lot miles walking around various cities we’ve travelled to.

I have the baby jogger city tour 2 which has been great for a few trips and have done both carry on and checked it in. It's one hand fold, lays almost totally flat ( need this for non-sitting babies), decent basket and canopy, fold out leg rest. It's not the cutest pram but got it for all the features and it has been great.

I just got back from a trip with my 5-month old. Our direct flight was 16 hours. I made sure I packed light for my carry-on because my baby is on the heavier side and I’m a petite person. Stroller recommendation: Baby Jogger City Tour. Fits in the overhead bin and about 14lbs. I gate checked the stroller. If you are formula feeding, I suggest using this storage bag for the powder as it saves so much space in your handcarry/ personal bag unlike the stackable plastic container. https://preview.redd.it/wtff591fad9f1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0d76f438c0924932995c91ee302adecc7323ad5a

We used a Baby Jogger City Tour 2 for our 8MO in Japan a few months ago and it was super easy. Light, easy to manoeuvre, still had decent basket space, and folded down easily to go as carry-on (had to take the back wheels off to store it in the bag properly but that was no biggie). Our LO also had great naps in it as it reclined to basically flat. We bought it off Marketplace second hand and it was in really great condition. Our friends have a Skip and they love it too. We considered it but didn't want to pay full price at the time and it was too soon for any second hand ones to be available. But we also have a Redsbaby Nuvo as our regular pram so know how good they are!

May or may not be helpful but we have opted for the Baby Jogger City Tour for our trip next month but our LO will be closer to 8 months then. The regular seat lays near flat but they also do a bassinet attachment for smaller bubs. We have friends who bought the Skip2 (we looked at it too as we have a Redsbaby for our regular pram but couldn't justify the price) and took it to NZ and had zero issues through the airports/planes. I think your regular cabin crew / gate crew aren't going to be too pressed about a pram as long as you have a carry bag for it so it can be easily stowed. Most if not all travel prams are slightly outside the dimensions for carry on with most airlines but if it's under the 7kg weight limit you should be fine. ETA: it can be worth looking at Marketplace for a tidy 2nd hand one before opting for brand new. That's what we did and you'd never know it's been used before!

We bought a caddy type stroller (babytrend snap & go) when our twins were first born. Really convenient and easy to take around. I waited until black friday to SPLURGEEEEE on not 1 but 2 babyjoggers 😅. Theyre 30% on black friday plus either amazon (15% off) or target (15% + 5% if using red card) completion discount. Getting 2 was only a bit more than getting 1 when not on sale. It worked in our favor bc they were born only a few months away from black friday. Ok we love both the babyjogger double strollers so I imagine the single versions would be amazing as well. The mini gt2 is so smooth and easy to take them shopping and around the city in. Also got the summit x3 because that is an actual jogging stroller (mini gt2 is not). I get such a good workout in with that one. Both worth the purchase and the wait. We still use the caddy as well for more tight places like the doctors office…will be using that one for as long as they fit in their infant carseat.

Highly recommend biting the bullet and planning on two strollers, or you will end up compromising way too much on ideal qualities of either. We got a Bob stroller with infant attachments and I love that thing still 2.5 years later. It's great for hikes and tougher terrain compared to a standard stroller. I even prefer it for grocery store runs. Any big day trips where I can take up most of the trunk with it, I enjoy using it. We also got a very compact Baby Jogger stroller (note: not a jogging stroller, just the brand name) for longer travel and other tight spaces. It also has infant attachments and we found it useful from early on. For airport travel, I would never want to deal with my Bob. Even for outings at restaurants I highly prefer bringing the compact one, in case little one needs a spot to sleep. I've seen our friends try to bring their unwieldy larger strollers and they are such a hassle in many cases. Also, in general, it's just the more practical way to throw in a stroller "just in case".

Check with your airline as most won’t allow you to gate check a wagon — they allow strollers only. Additionally, depending on where you travel, a wagon may be very inconvenient. We lived in France for a couple years and never saw a wagon for kids as they are very impractical for the narrow sidewalks, narrow doorways, can’t fit on a lift, etc. I’d consider a small double stroller or a small single stroller with a ride on board for the older child. Bring a baby carrier so you can baby wear and the older child can sit in the stroller. I like the baby jogger city tour as it’s a trip-fold stroller that you can bring onboard planes and it fits in overhead bins.

I wouldnt bring either. I would bring a cosco scenera next for carseat because its cheap and lightweight and a travel stroller that folds small (i reccomend city tour 2 because it’s inexpensive and we love it, but babyzen yoyo, uppababy minu or bugaboo butterfly are all also highly reccomended). Buy travel stroller secondhand to save money. You cannot use your doona as a stroller in europe. Like absolutely not. At that point its an incredibly heavy carseat, i wouldnt want to lug that accross the globe. Your main stroller is also so bulky and heavy.

I have a Baby Jogger City Tour 2. It CANNOT go on plane's overhead. Or at least, not Qantas. It's off by like 2cm.  So I will say for BabyJogger, CHECK YOUR AIRLINE.  For China Airlines, I was able to gate check in so use it all the way till I need to board the plane and they take it out and give it to me the minute I'm out of the plane (so not at baggage claim - literally the minute I'm out of the plane).  So I will double check the airlines you're thinking to fly on. Qantas always said it had to go to oversize baggage. Every airlines seems to be different.

I love our Vista V2 which I've had since 2022. We're having another baby soon but not sure if we'll bother getting it set up as a double as my older one is pretty happy to walk. We might Just opt for a skateboard or seat attachment. I don't find the pram itself too heavy but I usually disassemble it before lifting into the car. I would say that if you do use public transport regularly or for travel you would probably want to pick up a travel pram too. We use the baby jogger City tour for that. The baby jogger isn't a bad little pram (very happy with it for occasional use) but it doesn't hold a candle to the Vista

So it all depends on your budget and what you are looking for. For a car seat I went with the Graco snugride 35 lite, as it is one of the lightest car seats, that also has a high safety rating, but also doesn't cost a kidney to buy. 7.2lbs car seat +7.9 lbs baby = lifting 15 lbs repetitively. For our everyday stroller we went with the baby jogger mini GT2, I love it as it is a more heavy-duty stroller now that he's older. I did regret it in the beginning when he was so small, I wish I got a stroller with a bassinet attachment since I love to go on walks. But now that he's older and bigger and can fit in the straps and not have to snap on the car seat all the time, I love it. For a travel stroller we got the baby jogger City tour 2, it's only 14 lbs and it's overhead bin carry on approved size and comes with a carry bag to protect it. For a convertible car seat, I'm looking into the evenflo 360 extended, but more searching and reading is needing to be done. But I am favouring ones that rotate, my must have is extended height and weight limits. Edit to add: both strollers have attachments to be able to snap the car seat in that we have to make them a travel system. The Mini GT2 came with them, the city tour 2 we had to buy separately.

The absolutely perfect baby gear for all scenarios does not exist. I would advise looking on Facebook marketplace to find items secondhand if you want to purchase multiple strollers. You don’t need to get everything before the baby comes. Most strollers (especially jogging strollers) cannot be used until baby is 3-6 months old. You may want to use the Doona at first while you figure out what is important to you. Your baby will likely outgrow the infant car seat by age one. So you can use the Doina for travel during this short-lived time. You will then travel with a convertible car seat which does not click into any stroller. I recommend taking a look at the Uppababy Minu V3. It has a bassinet mode built in and can have a car seat click in (only certain models). It also folds up small enough to go in the airplane overhead compartment. We got a used Uppababy Cruz V1 on FBMP. I used it a lot in the early baby days with the car seat. I had the bassinet, but ended up babywearing most often. I especially preferred babywearing when we went to events and other crowded spaces. So much easier than making our way with a stroller. I started using the stroller more in the toddler days as my son has global delays and was a late walker. I got a Baby Jogger City Tour during Black Friday sale to use as our travel stroller. Neither stroller is perfect, but both have been great to have for different reasons and uses. I just gave birth to our daughter and got the Uppababy Minu Duo stroller so I can take both kiddos out and about.

I highly recommend looking for second hand options. We got an UppaBaby Cruz V1 in 2022 for $200 on Facebook marketplace. Tag says it was made in 2018 and the thing is a tank. It came with the bassinet and I bought a new UppaBaby car seat to go with it. We are expecting baby 2 now and will have a 27-month age gap. I plan on buying the new UppaBaby Minu Duo to use with both kids. I personally would not want the Vista due to its size. I prefer side-by-side for double strollers and am glad to have a lightweight option for both everyday use and travel. I got a Baby Jogger City Tour 2 for 60% off to use as a smaller travel stroller with my firstborn. It is more lightweight and compact compared to the UB Cruz. When we travel, either by plane or super packed car, it is the only stroller we bring. However, the UB is sooo much nicer. You really do get what you pay for.

We have a BabyJogger CityTour2 and it works great for this. On smaller planes (like the ones that only have 2 seats on each side) for regional local flights they do gate check it. I thought it was important to me to be able to put it in the overhead but it turns out the stroller gate checking and gate-return system is so seamless and efficient and fast that it works just fine. At the destination strollers and wheelchairs and walkers come out right away just steps off the plane. On bigger planes we used to put it in the overhead but now we just hand it to them cause it's honestly easier, one less thing to wrestle up there and find space for.

Baby Jogger City Tour 2! We took it as carry on through numerous flights internationally and never had any issues getting it through. Also lies flat for nappy changes on the go. It’s our car pram now because we love using it so much. Only negatives are the smaller basket and canopy compared to a full sized pram.

we took a baby jogger city tour to Europe and it worked fine on uneven streets and collapsed super small/lightweight and could be stowed as a carry on for flights.

Baby Jogger City Tour 2. Has been allowed in the overhead of every plane we’ve been on. Super lightweight and good recline for naps too.

Baby Jogger City Tour! I got mine for $50 on Facebook marketplace. Had to buy the bumper bar separately though

We borrowed a Baby Jogger City Tour 2 off a friend for a ten day trip and got home last night. The recline is good and managed to get bub to do 2 walking naps in it when out. Seemed to cope better on slightly uneven terrain than the yoyo we saw another family struggling with! Didn’t go out much when it was super sunny, but hood seemed fine. Easy to fold once you’ve got the hang of it, and easy to unfold with one hand. Had no problems taking it on the plane, you just need a bag. It fit into the locker of a domestic and international plane - but I’d recommend one parent boards first and stores a travel pram as they take up a bit of room and if there’s lots of luggage in the bins above you it obviously can’t squish in like a normal backpack. If you’re looking for potential for a newborn the city tour lux can be parent facing or world facing, which could be a plus. I saw a few people at the airport with the Silvercross Jet and the Millie and Coup travel pram and they both looked good!

I did the joovy twin with the car seat adapters and then at like 6 months old I just moved on to my baby jogger double stroller (which is the best thing ever). Honestly I didn’t go out with them much as babies other than doctors appointments and errands I generally had a second person with me until they could sit in a carriage.

We went to Baby Bunting to try out the travel prams. Our requirements were a decent sized basket, one-hand fold, and seat to be as upright as possible (my son doesn't nap in the pram anymore so we weren't fussed about the recline function). Narrowed it down to the Joolz Aer + and the Baby Jogger City Tour 2, and settled on the Baby Jogger in the end. Found a good deal on Marketplace which included the belly bar for free. You might want to consider what's included with the pram, e.g. Travel bag, rain cover, belly bar. It adds up if you need to buy them separately.

I love my baby jogger city tour 2. It’s lightweight and FAA approved so you can wheel it right onto a plane. It’s designed for city life, but I use it as my travel stroller. It weighs 14 pounds according to Amazon.

Hell no to the Graco.  Did it with my first and hated it (live in Mtl so used it daily) Tried a few others. My recommendations are Baby Jogger CT Mini or... Uppababy. Yes Uppababy is expensive but you can resell it. I recently bought the Ridge stroller on sale for maybe $500 approx. Then bought everything else (car seat + adjusters/adapters, bassinet, bassinet stand, ganoosh, rain cover etc) from a Mom in a local parenting FB Group and paid half the cost (in good condition too). Even now those second hand items are still in good condition and could probably be resold again. A Mom friend bought Uppababy used from FB Marketplace, everything for about $700. Used it for 4 years straight (daily) and now passing it onto her friend. Uppababy seems to have a long shelf life!

That's impressive. I think we had 6 in total. My favourites were the BabyJogger Citi with the one-hand fold and the Mountain Buggy one that can fit in an aeroplane overhead locker. Folding those in front of other parents was a major flex. But commuting with an infant and toddler it was essential. They put in a high shelf in the crèche's stroller store for our MB. Some mornings I'd walk in with it slung over my shoulder with the strap.

Big fan of the CT2 stroller. Took it on multiple international trips; easily fits overheard and can be carried on a roller bag with one hand (have perfected this). Has fantastic manoeuvrability compared to many of the top traveler strollers, and I preferred the handlebar material. Once you get the hang of unfolding it with the latch it’s super easy. Partner ended up buying a liner to make it slightly comfier for Bub, and make sure you adjust the shoulder straps to go lower on Bub as the position they’ll be in are too high for a 5 month old. For the price it’s a great stroller. (Baby Bunting will price match +5% - it’s worth shopping around online to see what you can get, and usually on Amazon it’s cheap.)
