I ended up selling my ergo baby metro plus because it ended up being so clunky and the canopy clicked so loud when you put it out that it would wake up my sleeping baby! I sold it and bought the nuna trvl, sometimes you can find it on a good sale or marketplace!

We have the ergo baby metro plus as well and have used it with our baby when he was not quite 3 months. It can lay completely flat like a bassinet without any other attachments needed.

We have the ErgoBaby Metro Plus and love it. We got it as a travel pram for my eldest when he was 10months to go to Rome, but used it as the main stroller exclusively after he was 1 as our bugaboo fox was just too bulky. The metro lightweight but sturdy, steers brilliantly with suspension (which a lot of travel strollers don’t have) and has extendable handle. As a tall person, this is the best bit. It also has lie flat, again something other big name travel strollers don’t have, which for my son was important as he napped in it all the time. We are now using it for my daughter and have done since she was a newborn. Negatives is that it’s probably a little bigger than others and I never trusted that it would fit in the overhead storage of a plane so have always gate checked it. Basket is small but in line with others on the market. I would definitely buy it again if I needed to, but I would be tempted to try the bugaboo butterfly also.

We have the metro + and I love many things about it… except that it is slightly harder to fold than many other travel strollers & it doesn’t have an easy carry strap or great way to grab it. We haven’t taken it on a trip yet but I think we will keep it as a stroller to keep in the car (and let our Nuna mixx be our daily neighborhood walk stroller that stays in the garage) but will look at other travel options.

The Metro+ goes down flat and is newborn safe. I have it and really like it. The uppababy minu is another good option and could maybe use the same adaptors as your vista?

You aren’t going to get a travel friendly jogging stroller. I would just baby wear for hikes while travelling. For a car seat friendly travel stroller, I would recommend the ergobaby metro 3. It is newborn friendly even without the car seat as it has a bassinet mode. You would have to get a car seat that works with the adaptors. I have the older version (Metro+) and love it. It’s been on 5 plane trips, with two out of country. We just came back from Ireland this week and it was great.

The ergobaby metro+ is a great travel stroller! It goes flat, so it’s safe from birth. Folds up small - they claim carry on sized. I’ve taken it on 4 plane trips, but always gate checked it. The sunshade is big and the adjustable height handle is nice. I just came back from Mexico (not at a resort) and it can handle rough road pretty well.

It depends on age. If still napping, ergobaby metro+ bc there’s a near flat recline that’s great for sleep. It’s also very small for fitting in small spaces and has suspension. If not still napping, a cheap umbrella stroller.

The baby jogger city tour 2 has a full flat recline and can have car seat adaptors added to make it a travel system! It folds pretty small and fits into a bag which could go in the overhead bin. The ergo baby metro or metro + fold up small enough to probably get into a large bag you could store in the overhead bin. It also has a full recline and can be car seat compatible! These are the two I’m looking at :)

Get ergobaby metro plus or similar and you have a daily driver and travel stroller in one. I’ve heard good things about bugaboo butterfly or uppababy minu. Unless you’re planning to use the under basket storage a lot (e.g. you are a one car family and will use it to walk and go grocery shopping, etc) then a travel stroller would probably suit you just fine. A lot of ppl don’t realize this I don’t think. P.s. the honest truth is that a lot of people will recommend expensive baby products not because they are actually great (although many are) but because they have to justify the cost to themselves. I see this a lot with car seats- people love to recommend expensive seats when more affordable ones fit better in their car, are less likely to be outgrown and are easier to install.

We have the ergobaby metro + and love it for travel. It has a good amount of space underneath given the small size as well as a pocket underneath. The stroller seat folds flat and actually turns into a bassinet if you want to. There is a cheap travel bag you can buy directly from ergo baby that lets you turn it into a backpack which might be convenient for you sometimes. I warn you though the bag material is cheap and will probably eventually tear but it’s also not too expensive around $40. I never clipped a car seat into it but they are honestly not in the bucket car seat for too long (6-8 months) so I wouldn’t base a decision off something like that. I had a travel system and I used it maybe 5-6 times and paid a * premium * for that “convenience”.

I have a Cruz with two winter babies (November and December). I will say it’s not the best for all snow- but can handle about 6 inches of snow max. Luckily I wasn’t forced to go out in these conditions too much with my baby. With my second there were instances I had to walk the older one to daycare in heavy snow with the baby and I just baby wore the younger one. The jolly jumper carrier cover is amazing for covering the carrier and can also be used on the stroller. If you go with the uppababy cruz o would recommend getting the heavy rain shield. It’s very robust and protects the fabric in rough conditions. I think eventually you will probably want a travel stroller for trips and as a backup. It also affords more trunk space (think driving to a weekend getaway with a few big bags). I have an ergobaby metro plus which I also love for this purpose and it fits in the overhead bin nicely.

This isn't on your list but I'd highly recommend taking a look at the Ergobaby Metro. It's the only one I found that was 1. Near-flat recline; 2. Fit in overhead bin easily; 3. Affordable!! We just took a 3.5mo old to Portugal in it and it did great Stroller came on the plane with us, no questions asked. Naps on the go on a full recline worked really well!! If you buy from their website they also have a try-out period where you could return if you don't like it.

I second the ergobaby metro. I have the metro 3 and though I haven’t flown with it yet it folds down so small. I bought the carrying case for it and we’ll be taking it on our first flight with him in a few weeks. It’s also comfy for him and has good size storage underneath. My only want is a snack tray to hold his drink and snacks

I have 2: a travel (ergobaby metro 3) and full size (mocking bird single). I bought the mockingbird second hand from fb marketplace and it’s amazing for walks in the neighborhood which I do almost every day. It’s heavy duty but turns and moves very easily. Also car seat adaptable if we want to haul it into the car and take it with us. The metrobaby 3 was a gift and has a newborn nest so can also be used from birth and is lightweight and folds very easily, so it lives in the car trunk.

I like my travel stroller from ergo baby (metro+). I had a super nice Graco one but it was bulky and sucked to get in my car. The metro fits in an overhead bin and is a smooth ride. I wish I got the cup holder though. Also, I recommend a wagon when your baby is a toddler.

Ergo metro! The only downside to a travel stroller is that most of them don’t parent face so you won’t be able to see baby unless you get one with a car seat adaptor and use the car seat, which is not ideal.

Also you already have the Metro 3 and the only criteria it doesn't meet is the easy fold/unfold? I would not spend the cost of the stroller and the shipping/duties on an EU version of the bugaboo just for an easier unfold. If you're going to spend that amount of money why not look into something completely different like the Joolz Aer+ or another travel stroller all together. Personally I have the ergobaby metro+ and I can't compare it to the Metro 3 but sure the unfold is a little clunky but it has never caused me so much stress or issues that I would replace it.

I would prioritize a stroller with lie flat over parent facing. I know it's weird to get used to them facing out but the lie flat is clutch for naps on the go and will be a feature you use for a long time. My (very big) 11mo can still nap in our travel stroller. Also that way you're certain your 3.5mo will be comfortable and is not in a position that could cause some harm. We have the ergobaby metro+ which is light and I could definielhy carry up stairs but isn't a one handed open. I think it's an amazing travel stroller for the price point but if you're willing to spend more there are probably better ones out there like the joolz aer.

In my research there were lots of people saying although their stroller met the size requirements they were still asked to gate check it, just FYI. We went with the ergobaby metro+. Not quite budget but on the cheaper side (also got it on Black Friday so it was even a better deal). Can't compare it as it's the only one we've tried but we're happy with it. It lies flat, has a nice sun shade, adjustable handle bar, does meet the overhead bin requirements for most airlines. We also got the bag which allows it to be worn like a backpack. It's a bit weird as a backpack but it's also handy in a pinch.

I got it on Black Friday 2024 from ergobaby's site for $289. That was the absolute lowest I had seen it and was watching around that time. It's only our travel stroller but I love it and I think it's soon going to become the one we leave in the car for quick errands now that our LO is getting older and the snow is gone. We are also a Cruz as a main stroller family but it is huge and so much for a quick in and out.

I have a cruz and just did a ton of searching about this exact topic. The conclusion I came to was it is worth it and personally I would rather spend the money on a travel stroller than a bag which is really just a warranty for the cruz. I went with the egrobaby metro+ which technically would fit in an overhead bin but I've seen so so so many comments saying they were required to gate check their travel stroller regardless of size.

I started my stroller journey by buying a highly recommended stroller and hating it... and ended up with multiple ones, which turned into testing over 100 models and reviewing them :) That said: NOT LOVING: Uppababy Vista - rides smooth, but too big and bulky Mockingbird - awful, scary with recalls, doesn't drive smoothly as all Cybex Orfeo - too flimsy Cybex Coya - where do I even begin with this bad fold GB Pockit - not worth your fingers Ergobaby Metro - too heavy for a travel stroller and unfold feels meh SummerInfant 3d quickclose - too good to be true, super flimsy Nuna TRVL - too short seat, too big to take into the cabin and too expensive for what it is Uppababy Minu - too big for a travel stroller model, weird bumper bar and flimsy canopy LOVING: Cybex Priam - amazing, especially the e-version. If I were to get a one full-size stroller this would be my top choice Stokke Yoyo3 - most well-known and guaranteed on board Joolz Aer - smooth ride, great accessories Joolz Hub2 - solid mid-size option Cybex Gazelle - good for 2 under 2 Bombi - good mid-size option Bugaboo Butterfly 2 - didn't like the first version, but these upgrades made it better Mamazing - good budget option Zoe Traveler - amazing canopy and solid stroller Inglesina Quid - cute solid compact stroller

I purchased the Ergobaby Metro 3 yesterday after doing a lot of research and trying out a few options in store. Tbh most of the travel strollers on the market are pretty comparable. At some point you end up debating between very minor differences so it’s fully up to you what you value most. The super compact ones tend to be a little worse on the stability and suspension and are more “flimsy” if it makes sense. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Bugaboo butterfly for this reason.

We got the Ergobaby and love it! So far we have only used it for a quick 2 day trip down to Disney World with our 2.5 month old, but it worked really well. My thoughts: * super light & easy to carry if you buy the backpack bag for $30. * Southwest gave us no issues about carrying it into the cabin (only tried when in the bag. Not sure about issues if you had it out) * pushes almost as smooth as our Nuna Mixx on flat surfaces * baby was able to lay flat. As he gets older I imagine this will be nice for naps on the go! * yes the under basket is small, but we were able to hang a heavy bag from the handle no problem as long as we had counter balance in the basket. * my only complaint is that you have to take the seat out to use with a car seat. It is easy to take out, but you kind of have to make a decision and stick with it for the day.

I have both and use both, but you definitely don’t *need* both. I have the ergobaby metro which is amazing for flying because it fits in the overhead bin so no risk of damage by gate checking it. That being said, I used our uppababy travel system constantly when my daughter was first born. Popping her car seat in and out of the stroller for errands was significantly easier than lugging the car seat in the store and/or taking her out of her car seat to go in the store. Plus the bassinet attachment was so nice for neighborhood walks at the beginning. It comes down to your lifestyle, what’s important to you from a convenience standpoint, and your budget. I still choose the uppababy over my ergobaby metro unless we’re traveling because it’s a smoother ride and my daughter seems more comfortable in it. Honestly she prefers our veer wagon to all strollers anyway so that’s also an option (has a nap system attachment that turns it into a bassinet) and your baby will enjoy that for many years to come. You can also find a lot of strollers second hand for very reasonable prices and the resale value is pretty good.

With the amount of cobbles you will encounter in Italy you need something with good suspension. It was as good as  non existent on the metro plus so if it's ergobaby you are keen on you should definitely consider the metro 3 over the older versions. Joolz aer also has great suspension but is also too expensive for a compact stroller IMO.

We love our ergobaby metro! Edit: some considerations that will help you narrow down options - what's your budget? The bugaboo butterfly, uppababy minu, joolz aer, stokke yoyo etc are highly rated compact strollers but are the most expensive. The ergobaby metro is a mid range priced stroller. There are also very affordable options too. Are there specific features you care about? For example, do you want it to be able to fully recline flat for naps or for younger babies, or a canopy with good coverage, or a good size basket? The ergobaby metro checks those boxes. Or do you care more about being super lightweight? The joolz aer is only 13 pounds. Or do you want a large basket? The bugaboo butterfly is your pick.

We love our metro+ and it has held up well! Have taken it on grass, dirt roads, etc and has been the perfect stroller for the car or outdoors when it's not snowy. We have probably put more than 10lbs of things in the basket and regularly stuff a normal sized backpack in there. The seat back pocket is a nice extra feature for storage for things like blankets. Highly recommend the travel bag from ergobaby if you're going to actually be travelling. That said, no stroller is perfect, including this one! I actually don't find the fold bad at all. But I do struggle with the unfold. I think if you're strong, you can unfold it with one flick like in videos, but usually I need two hands and struggle a little. It's also hard to reach the brake when the seat is fully reclined flat, but that's not a big deal.

I don't need it to be bougie Nuna or Uppababy, just need it to be compact with the option to lay the seat completely flat if needed, as we will be traveling with a 4mo and 3yo in a few months. I traveled with my baby at 3.5 months. I nursed while traveling, it was the easiest of the options. I started training myself going out, learning to nurse on the carrier, nursing at the mall, in restaurants. However my baby is now 6 months and very easily distracted- I've become really familiar with nursing rooms in malls, most airports also have nursing rooms so maybe consider that? Solids- we've started solids with my baby. For now he only really needs one piece of food/meal a day, so if we're going out we bring a cucumber, or a fruit. But he's also been eating from my plate, pizza crust, steamed veggies, yesterday he got a taste of a mild curry! I'm not sure about feeding this way every day as we're also being careful about allergen introductions etc. Also, feeding a baby is a messy ordeal, mine ends up in the bath 8/10 times he eats. Stroller- I LOVE my ergobaby metro. Got it because it was more budget friendly than other travel strollers and also because it reclines fully so baby is able to easily nap in it. It folds small but the OG isn't cabin approved so we had to gate check it. We just used a thick plastic bag as a cover and I highly recommend some sort of cover for both car seat and stroller, plane hulls are gross! My travel stroller gets a lot of use these days as it's better than my uppababy to take shopping, to restaurants etc. For the car seat you can also consider renting one with your rental car. It isn't too much more and may be easier to travel with less stuff. But definitely get a cover if you take yours. Some people even suggest traveling with the car seat box as that way you can see damage. My main tip for traveling with a baby is- remember your baby is a person and has as much right to be there as anyone else! They also have a right to have their needs tended to - feeding, changing etc. I found most people helpful and understanding but I would stress myself out thinking it was inconveniencing others... Also, bring extra diapers and a couple of clothing changes easily accessible- something about traveling and diaper blowouts. And board the plane last! Let those traveling with you take all the stuff ahead and you board as the last person, the least amount of time sitting with baby the better.

Also have 3 strollers! Second hand uppababy vista with the bassinet/seat for walks in the neighborhood, it handled the snow really well; ergobaby metro for travel and now as my car stroller (uppababy takes up most of the trunk); and a running stroller we got second hand as well. The running stroller we might switch to one that can be also a bike trailer, but baby is only 5 months so we haven't run with him yet. You could get a jogging stroller as your everyday stroller. I have friends who do that. Some are adapted to use with the car seat and the large wheels are great in the snow into the toddler years.

We love our Ergobaby Metro+. Narrow enough to get through narrow aisles on public transit, folds down smaller than most carry-on suitcases (and so fits into the overhead bins no problem), flexible seating, and easy to push. Plus, it's usually eligible for coupons and store discounts because Ergobaby doesn't quite qualify as a prestige brand like Uppababy.

We love our Ergobaby metro stroller for travel. I think it’s checks most of your boxes and it did fine for us all through Scotland. For what it’s worth, decided to just go ahead and use our American car seat for that Scotland trip. I read a lot of pros and cons to renting a UK seat while we were there and ultimately I was more comfortable knowing it was our seat and hadn’t been through an accident. From what I read most law enforcement doesn’t really care if you have a foreign car seat and it’s not an issue they would press but that may depend on the country and obviously depends what level of risk you’re comfortable with.

In a situation where we’ve had to get around from place to place, we rent a car and bring our car seat (the airline checks it for free), or most car rental companies rent car seats along with their cars. We use the ergobaby metro stroller while travelling and love it as you can fold it up to fit in the carry on.

If I could do it over, I would first invest in a good travel stroller first. We use the ergo baby metro +. Small enough to fit in the over head compartment of planes, can lay completely flat (so no need for newborn inserts) and compatible with our Nuna pipa car seat with an adapter. We also have the uppa baby vista and I only use it on walks as it stays in our garage. While it’s high quality, it’s too heavy and bulky to put in the car to go the supermarket, dinner or travel with .

I have two strollers, ones a combo travel set with my car seat (graco) the stroller parts takes up most of my trunk and I have an SUV. The other stroller is a smaller one that folds up and is made for travel called Ergobaby Metro+. I can fit it on the floor behind the front passenger seats so I have my trunk back! It's 10" wide x 20" tall folded up. It's a little pricey ($300) so if you have time, try to wait for a sale. I got it around 30-40% off. Edit: it does have a car seat combo set but I didn't get that one so I'm unsure of the specifics.

I went down a dark hole on travel strollers recently as we want one for an upcoming cruise. I bought a Bombi V2, an Ergobaby Metro+ Deluxe and a Bugaboo Butterfly. \- Bombi was great for the money, even with the purchase of a snack tray, it was by the cheapest option but it also felt a little less premium than the other two, not terrible though, also the green color was a little too green, and the fold wasn't as compact although only marginally bigger, it did have the best fold, very similar to the Nuna. \-Ergobaby Metro+Deluxe, although the MSRP is $399, amazon recently had it on sale for $320 and a 30% coupon so it came out to $220. We really liked this stroller, the lay flat was great, nice sized wheels, premium feel, the main issue that deterred my wife is the size of the basket, her large Dagne Dover bag did not fit and the fold/unfold is a little more complicated than the other two. \-Bugaboo - Picked up an open-box off ebay for $29x, the fold is nice, although Bombi is smoother, the basket is huge, easily fit the diaper bag, my wife wasn't a fan that it did not lay flat like the Ergobaby but everything else checked most of the boxes. That being said, we are interested in the Minu V3 that is coming out as it appears to check all the boxes, looks like it lays more flat than the Bugaboo, has a 20lb capacity basket, is newborn capable out of the box, will work with our Uppababy Aria car seat. It basically looks like a Butterfly copy but with improvements. After the stroller showdown we had in our living room, we decided to return the Bombi and the Ergobaby, we pre-ordered the Minu V3 but have also kept the Bugaboo just in case the Minu does not arrive in time or has some fatal flaw we don't know about yet. With the purchase price of under $300 for a new Bugaboo, I should be able to recoup my money if we end up with the Minu V3.

We used the doona during infancy and plan to do the same with second baby coming. But for travel/easy folding/compact, we have the ergobaby delux stroller. It’s sooo easy to fold, has a newborn setting, and can be used up to 45 pounds. The cargo space underneath has the capability of enlarging for more items. We take it everywhere now, and even took it to Hawaii which fit easily in the overhead compartment of the plane.

Get a travel stroller, if you can afford it. Airlines are known to mess up/break expensive strollers. A cheaper travel stroller doesn't feel as bad if it gets damaged by the airline company. Also it is significantly smaller, lighter and more compact. The obvious tradeoff is that your baby isn't as comfortable in it, but that's why it's a temporary stroller as opposed to being your main one. We have the ergo baby metro+ and it does the job.

I have the metro+, I didn't want to splurge on the deluxe because the travel stroller isn't something that I use all the time. For me it has been worth it so far, it is light weight, it packs up neatly, and I really like the fact that baby can lie down flat, it's been useful for diaper changes and naps on the go. I agree the basket isn't as big, but it's not a dealbreaker for me because like I said, it's not the stroller I use all the time (uppababy I use more).

5 weeks is pretty young for a travel stroller as they usually don't parent face and are don't always recline all the way flat. I have the ergo baby metro and it does recline fully and the newer model looks even better for younger babies. I was also looking at the evenflo reversi. I'm not sure how heavy it is but I like that it was more lightweight than my Cruz and could still parent face.

We use it for walks around the neighborhood sometimes (usually use our main stroller) and if I'm not paying attention we can get stuck on uneven sidewalks. I have the metro+ and used it from birth. It’s fabulous and I use it as our everyday stroller 9 times out of ten. I’ve also taken it on 4 flights and it’s a godsend for travel. My baby far preferred laying flat in the stroller than being in her car seat so we never bothered with a car seat compatibility. My only complaint is that I have a very tall baby and I’m not sure how much longer she will last in the seat. I’ve heard the Bugaboo Butterfly is great and has a larger seat, but it’s also more expensive and doesn’t have a newborn option. Good luck on your travels!

I have a jogging stroller (bumbleride indie) and a travel stroller (ergobaby metro+) and I feel these 2 covers everything I need. I use the travel stroller as my day to day unless conditions call for the jogging stroller, like rough terrain or snow. I think you could avoid buying a third stroller by investing in 2 good strollers that will cover your bases. I looove using a compact stroller as my day to day. And my bumbleride handles like a dream in the snow. It’s so easy.

Hi, I actually have both the metro+ and I just got the metro 3. I traveled all around Japan with a 15-month-old with the metro+ so it’s not a bad travel or everyday stroller option by any means but I will say that the metro 3 has several features that make me like it more and are worth the additional price: - ease of folding / unfolding: I always struggled with the mechanism for the metro+, and never liked that sometimes I would have to use both hands; with the metro 3 I can easily fling it open with one  - the canopy: the metro+ canopy is really glitchy which can also make it more inconvenient to use and the metro 3 canopy is expandable!  - the wheels: either stroller actually has good wheels but so far metro 3 are smooth and their suspension is better than my other stroller (Nuna TRVL)  - standing upright: the metro+ would often fall over in the trunk while the metro 3 has been holding more steady  - newborn features: not sure if this is applicable to you now or later but the metro 3 has a whole new attachment / encasement for newborns that the metro+ doesn’t have There are more comparisons / reasons why, but honestly, the folding mechanism and the canopy were such deal breakers for me that I won’t be using the metro+ any more and have moved on to the 3. Ergobaby Metro. Strong, yet family light. You can push it through the aisle in a plane. Easy to fold and carry on escalator..I've used used it in the underground. Good for towns and cities. I think can hold a child up to 25 kg. Folds away and you can put it in the overhead thingy in a plane and takes up little room in a boot.

We have a large jogging stroller and a smaller travel one (the Ergobaby Metro+) and it has been hugely helpful to have both. The Ergobaby folds easily and fits in an airplane overhead, and it’s also much lighter and therefore easier to maneuver on trains, the subway, etc.. It has been with us on multiple trips, and even when we don’t use it at our destination it’s great to have for airports—makes it easy to navigate and gives baby a defined space in crowds. Would recommend.

We have an ergobaby metro+ travel stroller and love it. It’s designed to fit in most overhead bins so we can carry it on sometimes; or else it’s easy to gate check. It has a nearly full recline and is approved for use with newborns, so there’s no worry about baby needing to be ready to sit up independently. Would recommend.

By default you cannot use an infant car seat long term—it’s limited to about a year of use and many folks switch to a convertible car seat sooner due to preference or because the bucket gets too heavy to maneuver. Personally I much prefer a “real” stroller to the Doona which is not that easy to push. You don’t need a high end brand—Graco and Chicco are two really well regarded brands in terms of safety and have a slightly lower price point. I wound up with a jogging stroller that accepts a bassinet attachment as well as an Ergobaby brand travel stroller which is what I bring out and about. I love the travel stroller—it can accept an infant seat but also reclines fully flat so can be used for a newborn without a car seat, and it’s easy to fold and fits in an airplane overhead. We typically use the jogger (now with a regular seat) for walks from the house and keep the travel stroller in the car.

Being able to take it on a plane as hand luggage is really useful, both for the long walk to the baggage carousel and because it's much less likely to get damaged. It's also good as they're so light. We had an Ergobaby Metro which was around 6kg so it was possible to lift it with a toddler inside it, which made dealing with stairs much easier. Once we bought it we sold our travel system and used it full time, because it was also much more convenient for catching buses and meant more boot space (which was at a premium as we had a Fiesta!).

I had the zelia max, uppababy Cruze v2 and I’m now using an ergobaby metro 3. I loved the zelia! It was light, bassinet feature was amazing and it was a great deal when on sale for a travel system. It got damaged when I was on holiday and I got the Cruz which is easier to push but heavier for sure. So heavy I’ve just replaced it with the new metro stroller. I say get the zelia, it was beautiful in black and felt premium. I got it from Nordstrom before they vanished and it was absolutely worth it. People compare the zelia to uppababy which I don’t think is fair. It’s better than Graco but not as good as uppababy and it’s priced where it belongs. This sub swears by certain brands like uppababy, baby bjorn, woolino etc and it’s honestly not that deep.

I bought this stroller from Best Buy roughly the same price back in August. I really like it; I've taken it on a plane and put it in the overhead bin. I like how easy it is to open with one hand, and I find it reasonably light. The reason I bought it was mainly for travel, to have something I don't need to gate check, I wanted something that would hold up to the cobblestone/ uneven sidewalks, as well as lays flat for naps on the go. Knowing that it's held up when pushing in ice and snow this winter gives me confidence it'll hold up for our European trip in September. I had to buy the cup holder, support bar, carry bag, and weather cover separately. But not all at once, just as I needed them. I know you can get the next model up on their website with some of the accessories included for more. I don't have much to say in terms of cons, it does everything I need it for, and haven't had any complaints or problems with it in the past 7 months.

I have the Yoyo and I love it as a city buggy for quick trips but if I was buying another one, I’d be going for the Ergobaby Metro+, the almost lay flat recline is vital. The Yoyo doesn’t recline nearly far enough for a good nap between 6 months to 1 year in my opinion. I think you can buy a foot rest extension for it now though? Also from my research, the Ergobaby handlebar is adjustable which is great if one parent is taller etc. I believe both the Bugaboo Butterfly and Ergobaby have one handed fold which the Yoyo doesn’t so worth bearing in mind!

I bought the + (not deluxe—probably wouldn’t recommend deluxe tbh) for a trip and it’s been my daily stroller since, so about 10 months.   For flying, I did one leg storing it in the overhead bin and never again. It fit overhead but barely fits through the aisle (obvi folded lol). With a baby and bags heading to the back of the plane with it was insane. I wish I had thought about this and put less weight on the overhead compartment aspect when shopping for a stroller. I would have gone with the Nuna Trvl which was better designed in my opinion  The cons: tbh a little rickety, I’m curious to see how it holds up as my daily stroller after another year. Bumps in the road / curbs/ snow are all challenging but not outrageous. The accessories are just not well designed lol like I got the bar so I could mount a snack and drink tray and it’s at the most illogical angle. Which is also why I don’t recommend the plus—not worth it for the kind of bad accessories and some premium fabric  The pros: price, weight, compactness. The fold was tricky the first few times (including holding up a huge security line at the airport) but now it’s easy peasy. I’ve travelled to many places where I’ve had to carry the stroller up stairs with my baby inside the stroller and the weight makes it possible. I carry a ton of stuff in the basket. The bassinet recline was AMAZING when my baby was small and I still use it (although now my baby prefers to nap in a more seated position due to fomo) For the price, amazing stroller. Like I mentioned, I think I would have gone with the Nuna Trvl if it had been in the budget, but the metro+ is close enough to what I needed, and budget was a huge priority

We've had the metro+ since March. It has held up beautifully, has been gate checked on 6 round trip flights (in a simple bag to keep it clean), and now lives in my husband's car as the errands stroller. We are tall so the extendable handle is key for us. I find the fold super easy - it's the unfold that is tough/awkward for me. We usually gate check because it makes getting on the plane easier for us with less to stow and then get down on arrival from the OH bins with people breathing down your neck haha.

We have the Metro and I wish I'd skipped the carseat compatibility detour and just gotten it from the start. It lays flat, so you can use it from birth, and even though you might be thinking now that avoiding taking the LO out of the carseat is a worthwhile investment in convenience, I promise that in a couple short weeks that convenience factor disappears. That is because 1) the baby is just so much less floppy at that point that in/out of the carseat is kind of nbd, 2) being out of the carseat is more comfy for them, 3) the carseat gets HEAVY as your baby gets heavier. Also the Metro is carseat compatible too, if you find yourself wanting that option. They have adapters for them! I have a small car and this stroller's compactness and light weight was really life changing for us.

Hi! Just got back from a ten day Europe trip with the Metro plus. I bought the bumper bar so I could attach her toys to it. Very useful! I got a $12 rain cover on Amazon. The basket size is the only downside. It couldn't fit my fully packed diaper backpack, but we didn't mind wearing it so not really an issue. I've been back a few weeks and I prefer it over my nuna now! The small size and weight is wonderful.

I've got two! Nuna Mixx. We have a Nuna car seat so it snaps on, we also had the bassinet attachment which was great when she was little. Folds easy, fits in my car trunk no problem. We went on a ten day trip and ended up buying a travel stroller. We got the ergobaby Metro plus and it's now my favourite. Haven't touched my nuna since we've been back. Lays completely flat and she slept like a rock in it when we were out and about.

I have a Nuna mixx. I got it used and bought a bassinet for it. Absolutely phenomenal when she was tiny. The bassinet was the greatest thing. Now I use an Ergo baby Metro plus travel stroller. We got it for our trip but I love it so much it's now my day to day stroller.

I have a Nuna...it's great but we got a ergobaby Metro + for travel and I haven't touched my nuna in months. It's my favourite thing ever. Folds up so small, it's light, lays flat for her to nap in, huge sunshade. Only downside is basket is small.

I think a lightweight travel stroller would be great - there are so many out there now at different price points. I love the Ergobaby metro+, it lays flat for naps on the go and fits my 3 year old fine. It fits in the overhead bin and is easy to carry. Definitely check fb marketplace too! I've seen several different ones available that look nice.

I have a used bumble ride indie stroller as a daily driver/all terrain/jogger. And an ergobaby metro+ as a travel keep in the car stroller Chicco keyfit car seat. Both strollers recline to flat so they work from birth (and clutch for naps for all ages). No regrets

I love having 2. One big burly “home” tank of a stroller (bumble ride indie, used) to keep in the garage for daily outings all around our town and parks, and one lightweight narrow one (Ergobaby metro+, new on sale) to keep in the car for outings. Love em both so far, but I have nothing to compare them to

I travelled by plane with the ergobaby metro. My 4 month old was super comfortable, and I felt good that she was safe with the lie flat. She was able to sleep, and it was really easy to maneuver. We gate checked it with the bag, but honestly the bag was so thin I’m not sure it did a whole lot- made it easier for carrying when she wasn’t in it though.

We have the ergo baby metro 3 that recently came out and it’s great. We bought it mainly for traveling when our baby was 2 months old, it’s one of the few travel strollers that has a full recline so baby can lay flat in it when they’re too little for sitting upright. Only downside is it does not swap to rear facing, but you can get a car seat adapter and use that when baby is teeny tiny. We took it on some gravel and some rough sidewalks and it’s done great. Full disclosure, we also have a Thule urban glide for running with baby. So we are a two stroller house… but the metro lives in my car and the running stroller is mainly what we use around the neighborhood for runs, it doesn’t go in the car unless we really want it for something.

I have the Ergobaby metro, and I believe it has the best quality and features of your choices., e.g., full recline (newborn freindly), foot rest, long extended shade, a seat back that keeps your child more upright versus the natural recline on the YOYOetc. However, it's heavy for solo travel. I use it when traveling with my husband, but for solo travel, I'm getting a Coya. It's next best for features compared to the Ergo but is almost 4 pounds lighter.

We have the ergobaby metro plus and love it. It goes completely flat and you can make it into a faux bassinet without additional parts. I haven’t flown with it but I have a friend who has. I would just check the measurements and requirements for the airline you are flying with if you do consider that option

I have an everyday stroller (evenflo pivot xpand) for mall/walks/etc. it’s good and will last for the toddler years and second/third kids etc. I like that there’s the option to use the bucket or the bassinet/toddler seat I have a travel one (Ergobaby metro) that supposedly fits in the overhead bin but I don’t like to do that, so I just check it at the gate. We also got a second hand running stroller cause my husband runs and wants to go with baby. That all said, we have a garage to store all these things. If you’re limited on space I’d forgo the running one and get an everyday one you can also run with

Ergobaby Metro+. We took this to Rome last fall and it held up incredibly well with all of the cobblestones. We have an Uppababy Vista as our main stroller which is amazing but a tank. The Ergobaby Metro+ well built and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a primary stroller if you need something that is good for both every day and travel.

We traveled to Calgary earlier this year, flew WJ. On the way there, the gate agent said their new policy was that we have to gate check any baby gear even if we had our stroller as one of our carry on items. Fine so we checked it. On the way back, I asked if we needed to gate check our stroller and the gate agent said we can carry it on board. I think it totally depends on the gate agent working at the time. We have an Ergobaby Metro+ and it fits fine in the overhead.

We have the regular metro+ (not deluxe) and it fits in the overhead bin for westjet on one of their smaller planes (the 737 or a320). We just travelled recently. I think if you are looking to use it soon, you should just buy it now. The price might go down more but probably not in time for your trip.

I have a Cruz and use it for mostly everything (grocery stores, daily walks etc). I do have a smaller travel stroller (ergobaby metro+) as well, but that one is only used for flights/trips because it can fit in the overhead cabin. Pretty much no stroller is really restaurant compatible though, we just carried my son in with the bucket seat when he was young, and now we carry him in (ever since he could sit in his own high chair).

I have the Thule Glide 3 as my everyday stroller in MTL. My babe was born in December and the big wheels came in handy. But I find the stroller to be a bit large. To the best of my knowledge, it is a running stroller. And it does come with the possibility for the bassinet (which we bought and love) and is compatible with a car seat when you buy the correct attachment, there are 2 options so be mindful. I also have a travel stroller, ErgoBaby Metro+ because I don’t want my stroller to get damaged while travelling. I also use this one when I know I’ll be in inaccessible locations in MTL (ie, metro without an elevator) because it’s sturdy but light and compact.

I have heard not so great reviews about the baby zen yoyo, so crossed that off my list. Nina travl is still too big in my book. I went with the Ergobaby metro+ and have absolutely zero complaints. Small enough for overhead, rides great, comfortable for us to push, baby sits practically upright unlike a lot of travel strollers, and it even lays nearly flat for naps and for small babies the footrest is adjustable and can turn it into a bassinet. Would 100% purchase again, I wish I had it from the start and not the giant mockingbird stroller.

I have the Metro+ not deluxe and it's truly great for travel. I \*backed over it with my car\* and it's totally fine. (2) We took it to QC City in the middle of winter with no car and it did amazing even walking on packed snow and up icy hills full of as much crap as we could physically stuff in it. Since it was only \~$300 I don't have to stress about wrecking it or gate checking it. The fold is not a big deal and I just ignore the storage basket weight capacity lol. To me it feels really light. I can fit it behind the convertible car seat in my tiny car so it also just lives in there and has been so convenient to just pull out whenever. I bought a bumper bar so I think it's basically the same as the Deluxe minus the cup holder (which I often do wish I had). I wouldn't use it for a main stroller but it's amazing for travel + car errands.

This really depends on your lifestyle. Do you take public transit a lot, or mostly travel by car? Do you have ground-floor storage for your stroller, or will you need to carry it up stairs? Are you planning to have another child close in age (let's say, in the next 2ish years)? For my circumstances, I have found that I need two strollers - a lightweight one (Ergobaby Metro+) for public transport, travel etc. but that is also suitable from birth, and a heavier duty one (Bumbleride Era) that has a bassinet and can handle rougher terrain. Personally, I'm happy to take my baby in and out of the car seat so don't need the car seat to snap on to the stroller, but I know lots of people swear by this. This is my second baby, so I know what I'm doing a bit better than I did with my first! It mostly comes down to personal preference. I set up a spreadsheet with the factors that mattered most to me (e.g. lie-flat, size of wheels, bassinet-compatible, parent-facing) and key measurements (price, dimensions, weight) and just looked them all up online. I narrowed down a few options and went and saw them in person. Like you, I was surprised that my top choice on paper didn't work as well in real life and went with a different option. But it's so personal it's difficult to give concrete advice.

Hey there. Unfortunately, there are no small inexpensive strollers that work with this car seat that will fit in an overhead. Can’t comment on the price but just chiming in that it’s an AMAZING travel stroller. So many people opt for cheap umbrella strollers that have the two independent handles but those are sooo difficult to push with a single hand, and more than likely you’ll be pulling a suitcase with one hand. We have two metros for our two kids and it’s super easy to push and steer both strollers at once, side by side. Gives a lot of flexibility to bring these two single strollers as opposed to our big double stroller when travelling, in case another child is on your horizon.

omg get this. in the last 18 months i have been on 15 flights and accompanying trips with this stroller. i am writing this from europe where it has been basically offroading and doing cobblestone streets daily. it is a beast. we literally strapped our kid's carseat to the back of it with bungee cords to avoid carrying the carseat around the airport. we have TESTED this thing - and it's amazing. you will NOT regret it! i have an uppababy vista v2 that lives in my garage for neighbourhood walks, but this one folds up so easily and so small and so it lives in my suv trunk for the mall, zoo, museums, library etc etc etc. i use it CONSTANTLY. my kiddo loves it, it's super comfy and has a big canopy and a deep pocket on the back of the seat perfect for a few diapers, wipes and his water bottle.

It’s really difficult to get a stroller to fit all your wants. A lightweight travel stroller is not really suitable to go for long walks in. I know two that are newborn ready without car seat or attachments: Uppababy Minu3 and ergo baby metro. For s middle of the road stroller there’s joie ginger. The seat itself can be a bassinet for your little so perfect for newborns and you won’t need extras. My own personal favorite is Bumbleride era. Newborn ready, all terrain capeable. If your budget allows I’d have a travel stroller for travel and in the car for errands and then a proper full size for walks and outings

This one I use when we go to the next town over for mall trips cause it’s super compact and fits in the car really easily. That’s a good price, I don’t recall it going lower on Boxing Day. I like it! Sturdy but also pretty light and compact. One hand opening takes practice but it’s doable. I love the full recline for naps on the go, the canopy is excellent and we had an insert for winter that has served us well. The only minor con is that the baby can only face outwards which took some getting used to when she was very little.

I like our ergobaby metro. We check it right at the door of the plane rather than take it on board (one less thing to manage) but theoretically it can go overhead on a big plane. It’s stable, lies flat for naps on the go, has a great sun shade. It’s not the lightest option available but we use it a lot on transit as well and wanted something sturdy. I (a not particularly strong woman) can carry the stroller with baby in it up and down a few stairs if needed.

We currently have two. We started with a travel system (Evenflo pivot, ~$300) and that worked for us for about the first year. The bucket seat clips into it, and it also has a stroller/bassinet seat. Our kid is tall for his age, and when he was around a year old, his feet started to touch the bottom edge, so we knew it was only a matter of time before he outgrew it. We wanted something compact, so we got the Ergo city metro+ (I think that’s what it’s called). We like how small it folds up and how lightweight it is, but the biggest issues are the basket size (pretty small) and it’s a bit awkward to unfold.

We have the Ergobaby Metro+ , SIL has the Joolz Aer. I tried both and I liked both. If you’re only using it here and there, I’d go for the Ergobaby. If you will travel a lot, maybe the Joolz would work better as the build was a tiny bit better compared to the Ergobaby. The Yoyo felt way too small as there was barely any room in the basket under.
