"What I love most about the Metro+ is the extendable handlebar and the design without a straight-across rear axel. ... If you or your partner are tall, or just ever have issues kicking the stroller when you walk, you will definitely have those issues at Disney, especially when you walk quickly, and this is the only travel stroller I’ve tried that makes it so I can’t kick the stroller."
"has extendable handle. As a tall person, this is the best bit."
"We are tall so the extendable handle is key for us. ... Love the extendable handle, which is also unique to the metro+. No other travel stroller I found had it."

"We took it to QC City in the middle of winter with no car and it did amazing even walking on packed snow and up icy hills full of as much crap as we could physically stuff in it."
"I *backed over it with my car* and it's totally fine."
"it’s been everywhere from the tube to a 10km hike through the countryside"

"There is no one someone can hold their baby and unfold this easily at the same time. ... It’s a 2 person or put down your baby job"

"I have a love/hate relationship with it because I find the open to be super annoying and def not one handed."

"Basket is fairly small, so we tend to keep our diaper bag clipped to the handle, and since the stroller is so lightweight, it will tip over if we take our kid out when the backpack is still there."
"the main issue that deterred my wife is the size of the basket, her large Dagne Dover bag did not fit"
"I agree the basket isn't as big ... To be honest it's a much smaller basket than I remember and now that baby is bigger with more things to store, my anello bag no longer fits."

"travel strollers have small wheels that really aren't designed for all-terrain. ... I would never take my Metro+ on a hike. ... I’ve taken it through snow and it was not fun."
"can't really use it on a trail/gravel roads etc"
"It’s not made for hiking ... It wouldn’t do well if there are lots of roots and uneven steep areas though."

"the seat doesn't go fully vertical, which annoyed my 15 month old when we were sight seeing"
"Even in the most upright position, the back is slightly reclined. ... Now that our kiddo is almost 2, he seems to want to be more upright."
"I actually find it doesn't sit up as straight as I would like (a complaint I have about many travel strollers)"
I ended up selling my ergo baby metro plus because it ended up being so clunky and the canopy clicked so loud when you put it out that it would wake up my sleeping baby! I sold it and bought the nuna trvl, sometimes you can find it on a good sale or marketplace!
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel Stroller - Analysis Paralysis ->We like our ergobaby metro + It fits in the airplane overhead compartments, has a nice sunshade, and it fully reclines if baby falls asleep in it.
r/NewParents • Travel stroller recommendations ->If you’re considering the UPPAbaby Minu V3, definitely check out the Ergobaby Metro+ 3. They’re very similar, but the Metro+ 3 is $350 compared to $550 for the Minu. You can usually find a 15% off coupon with a quick Google search, and Ergobaby offers 20% off for teachers, nurses, and military. I was torn between the two, but after watching a million reviews, I realized the Minu V3 didn’t offer anything the Metro+ 3 didn’t—at least not anything that justified the extra $200. I’ve taken the Metro+ 3 out a few times and it pushes great—smooth and easy to steer one-handed. The basket holds over 20 lbs, the seat sits very upright (a must for my baby), and it also fully reclines for newborns. The ventilation is better than on the Minu, which was a top priority for me since we live in a warm climate. It has a one-handed auto-fold (huge win!), and while the unfold isn’t quite as smooth, I’ve still managed it one-handed. I also got the bumper bar since my baby loves holding onto those. One of my favorite features: it fits behind the driver’s seat of my Prius! That was a big deal because our main stroller—the Cybex Gazelle—takes up the entire trunk. Before this, I had the Cybex Libelle (open-box from goodbuybaby.com). It was fine—super compact and came with a car seat adapter—but I didn’t love that it didn’t sit upright and had no peekaboo window. I wouldn’t have paid $300 for it, but I got it for $150 and sold it for $100 after one trip when my baby was 5 months old. Now that my baby is using the stroller seat more, I wanted something more comfortable and better quality—and the Metro+ 3 has totally delivered.
r/Buyingforbaby • Stuck on travel strollers ->I’d go for the Ergobaby metro, you can carry it on with lots of airlines so don’t have to worry about rough handling
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller [on] ->We have the ErgoBaby Metro Plus and love it. We got it as a travel pram for my eldest when he was 10months to go to Rome, but used it as the main stroller exclusively after he was 1 as our bugaboo fox was just too bulky. The metro lightweight but sturdy, steers brilliantly with suspension (which a lot of travel strollers don’t have) and has extendable handle. As a tall person, this is the best bit. It also has lie flat, again something other big name travel strollers don’t have, which for my son was important as he napped in it all the time. We are now using it for my daughter and have done since she was a newborn. Negatives is that it’s probably a little bigger than others and I never trusted that it would fit in the overhead storage of a plane so have always gate checked it. Basket is small but in line with others on the market. I would definitely buy it again if I needed to, but I would be tempted to try the bugaboo butterfly also.
r/UKParenting • Travel Stroller - Best Options / Real World Experiences? ->We have the metro + and I love many things about it… except that it is slightly harder to fold than many other travel strollers & it doesn’t have an easy carry strap or great way to grab it. We haven’t taken it on a trip yet but I think we will keep it as a stroller to keep in the car (and let our Nuna mixx be our daily neighborhood walk stroller that stays in the garage) but will look at other travel options.
r/beyondthebump • Travel stroller recommendations ->Ergobaby metro
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller recommendations [BC] ->Third the metro+. It is my in the car stroller as well as my travel stroller. It is not flimsy and sturdy for its size. The trifold helps with that I think, rather than folding umbrellas style. I just took it to Mexico and it was fine on the dirt/gravel roads. Before I got it, I remember reading review that it handled cobblestones well enough. It does have some suspension. I’ll be taking it to Ireland in the spring to test out!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Recommendations: Everyday stroller that is also good for traveling [on] ->The Metro+ goes down flat and is newborn safe. I have it and really like it. The uppababy minu is another good option and could maybe use the same adaptors as your vista?
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Advice [bc] ->I have an Ergobaby Metro+ that I love as well. It is my travel stroller, but it would be totally good enough as my main stroller. I keep it in the car for on the go as well.
r/BabyBumps • Lightweight strollers useable from birth without a car seat? ->You aren’t going to get a travel friendly jogging stroller. I would just baby wear for hikes while travelling. For a car seat friendly travel stroller, I would recommend the ergobaby metro 3. It is newborn friendly even without the car seat as it has a bassinet mode. You would have to get a car seat that works with the adaptors. I have the older version (Metro+) and love it. It’s been on 5 plane trips, with two out of country. We just came back from Ireland this week and it was great.
r/BabyBumps • Am I being naive in wanting an absolute UNICORN of a stroller? Or do I just need to accept that I actually need three strollers? ->I can fit an adult size day backpack full of stuff underneath mine.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller recommendations- Ergobaby metro+ vs deluxe [bc] ->The ergobaby metro+ is a great travel stroller! It goes flat, so it’s safe from birth. Folds up small - they claim carry on sized. I’ve taken it on 4 plane trips, but always gate checked it. The sunshade is big and the adjustable height handle is nice. I just came back from Mexico (not at a resort) and it can handle rough road pretty well.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller and Travel Crib [ON] ->Get ergobaby metro plus or similar and you have a daily driver and travel stroller in one. I’ve heard good things about bugaboo butterfly or uppababy minu. Unless you’re planning to use the under basket storage a lot (e.g. you are a one car family and will use it to walk and go grocery shopping, etc) then a travel stroller would probably suit you just fine. A lot of ppl don’t realize this I don’t think. P.s. the honest truth is that a lot of people will recommend expensive baby products not because they are actually great (although many are) but because they have to justify the cost to themselves. I see this a lot with car seats- people love to recommend expensive seats when more affordable ones fit better in their car, are less likely to be outgrown and are easier to install.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller Recommendations [on] ->I have a Cruz with two winter babies (November and December). I will say it’s not the best for all snow- but can handle about 6 inches of snow max. Luckily I wasn’t forced to go out in these conditions too much with my baby. With my second there were instances I had to walk the older one to daycare in heavy snow with the baby and I just baby wore the younger one. The jolly jumper carrier cover is amazing for covering the carrier and can also be used on the stroller. If you go with the uppababy cruz o would recommend getting the heavy rain shield. It’s very robust and protects the fabric in rough conditions. I think eventually you will probably want a travel stroller for trips and as a backup. It also affords more trunk space (think driving to a weekend getaway with a few big bags). I have an ergobaby metro plus which I also love for this purpose and it fits in the overhead bin nicely.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller Choice is Overwhelming - would LOVE some guidance on a FTM stroller for urban areas [qc] ->I have the ergobaby metro+ and it fits in the overhead bin! It's been great and has become our daily stroller but I need two hands to open and close it - if that goes into your decision making. My sister has the bugaboo butterfly that she travels everywhere with. It fits in the overhead bin as well and she has been using that for her daily stroller for years. She loves it. I did not look at the GB pockit because I wanted something that I knew I could push one handed and I wasn't sure it'd be possible with the way their handles were set up.
r/NewParents • Travel Stroller recommendations for toddler ->I think it'd be light enough but you'd need a very large backpack to fit it. I think ergobaby makes one specifically for it that could be good? When it folds, there is a strap on the seat that serves as a handle to easily carry it around.
r/NewParents • Travel Stroller recommendations for toddler ->We have the ergo baby metro plus and love it! It lays flat so you can start using it from birth without the car seat! But you can get an adapter if you want the car seat too.
r/Buyingforbaby • best stroller for a city baby ->+1 for preferring the ergo baby metro over the yoyo
r/nycparents • What collapsible travel stroller do you recommend? ->Same! We have an ergo city metro and it’s amazing.
r/BabyBumps • Do most people have and use both a regular stroller AND a travel stroller? ->I’ve taken it on trails, gravel, cracked sidewalks and would compare the ride quality to a Cruz V1. There is some suspension which is lovely. My toddler prefers it over the jogging stroller as they can climb in and out solo and sit up straight.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->I like my travel stroller from ergo baby (metro+). I had a super nice Graco one but it was bulky and sucked to get in my car. The metro fits in an overhead bin and is a smooth ride. I wish I got the cup holder though. Also, I recommend a wagon when your baby is a toddler.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->Seconding metro +! We’ve had ours for almost 2y and really like it. We keep it in the car so it’s handy when we need it. I wish the sun shade covered more (maybe newer version does?) It’s not made for hiking, but I take it out on gravel and dirt trails at the local conservation area every week and it’s decent. It wouldn’t do well if there are lots of roots and uneven steep areas though. Haven’t tried snow - it’s too low to get over much deeper snow. Our vista is better in snow, but not great either. Basically snow is only time we prefer vista
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller [on] ->Ergo metro! The only downside to a travel stroller is that most of them don’t parent face so you won’t be able to see baby unless you get one with a car seat adaptor and use the car seat, which is not ideal.
r/NewParents • Affordable lightweight stroller recommendations for 5 week old? Not able to carry our primary stroller. ->Also you already have the Metro 3 and the only criteria it doesn't meet is the easy fold/unfold? I would not spend the cost of the stroller and the shipping/duties on an EU version of the bugaboo just for an easier unfold. If you're going to spend that amount of money why not look into something completely different like the Joolz Aer+ or another travel stroller all together. Personally I have the ergobaby metro+ and I can't compare it to the Metro 3 but sure the unfold is a little clunky but it has never caused me so much stress or issues that I would replace it.
r/NewParents • Help me decide on a stroller ->I would prioritize a stroller with lie flat over parent facing. I know it's weird to get used to them facing out but the lie flat is clutch for naps on the go and will be a feature you use for a long time. My (very big) 11mo can still nap in our travel stroller. Also that way you're certain your 3.5mo will be comfortable and is not in a position that could cause some harm. We have the ergobaby metro+ which is light and I could definielhy carry up stairs but isn't a one handed open. I think it's an amazing travel stroller for the price point but if you're willing to spend more there are probably better ones out there like the joolz aer.
r/NewParents • Parent Facing travel stroller ->In my research there were lots of people saying although their stroller met the size requirements they were still asked to gate check it, just FYI. We went with the ergobaby metro+. Not quite budget but on the cheaper side (also got it on Black Friday so it was even a better deal). Can't compare it as it's the only one we've tried but we're happy with it. It lies flat, has a nice sun shade, adjustable handle bar, does meet the overhead bin requirements for most airlines. We also got the bag which allows it to be worn like a backpack. It's a bit weird as a backpack but it's also handy in a pinch.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Budget Travel stroller brands [ON] ->I got it on Black Friday 2024 from ergobaby's site for $289. That was the absolute lowest I had seen it and was watching around that time. It's only our travel stroller but I love it and I think it's soon going to become the one we leave in the car for quick errands now that our LO is getting older and the snow is gone. We are also a Cruz as a main stroller family but it is huge and so much for a quick in and out.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON] ->I have a cruz and just did a ton of searching about this exact topic. The conclusion I came to was it is worth it and personally I would rather spend the money on a travel stroller than a bag which is really just a warranty for the cruz. I went with the egrobaby metro+ which technically would fit in an overhead bin but I've seen so so so many comments saying they were required to gate check their travel stroller regardless of size.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Buying a travel stroller vs using Uppababy Cruz on trips [on] ->This exactly. Also the whole point for us was to have a compact travel stroller and the deluxe seemed a bit too much and more of what people would use as a primary stroller. Also I think if you're going to spend the deluxe price there might be a better one out there for you (like babyzen, joolz aer, etc.)
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller recommendations- Ergobaby metro+ vs deluxe [bc] ->We're another Cruz and egro metro+ family and I'm really really happy with the combo. I actually love the metro+ so much. There are probably better travel stroller out there but in the 2-300 price range it really was the best I could find while researching and I don't regret it one bit.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Help me pick a travel stroller! [ca] ->My 10mo old is similar and we use the ergobaby metro+. He seems very comfy when it's fully reclined and it has a great canopy and adjustable footrest. We got it when he was younger and when we thought he was more of an 80% percentile kid not an off the charts kid so I'm not sure of how it will do in the next year since I didn't look into it but as of right now we're really happy with it. We have the regular not deluxe and not the 3, so I'm not sure if it's still made anymore since I know they came out with a new one. It was also a great price point for what it is.
r/bigbabiesandkids • Best compact travel stroller for big baby? ->We have the ergobaby metro+ which I believe has been discontinued but if you can find it we love it especially for the price point. Regardless I would never get one that couldn’t lay flat for this age/young toddlers because it makes naps on the go so much easier. My big 14mo can still nap in it comfortably.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Best travel stroller [on] ->We love our ergobaby metro+. Its in a cheaper price category than the yoyo so it wont be quite as nice but it does recline fully flat which is a feature we use a ton for naps on the go even when they can sit up properly. We also used the regular uppababy seat reclined all the way back with the infant sung seat cushion as another option for your current stroller. Since it’s the regular seat it’ll be plenty long.
r/bigbabiesandkids • Lie flat infant stroller recommendations? Ideally travel size. ->We love our Ergobaby Metro. It can fit in the overhead. You could try to get one used to save $$$.
r/NewParents • Cheap travel strollers ->We’ve flown with our Ergobaby Metro and put it in the overhead every time. Haven’t flown Westjet with it though!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller that fits in overhead compartment? [AB] ->I started my stroller journey by buying a highly recommended stroller and hating it... and ended up with multiple ones, which turned into testing over 100 models and reviewing them :) That said: NOT LOVING: Uppababy Vista - rides smooth, but too big and bulky Mockingbird - awful, scary with recalls, doesn't drive smoothly as all Cybex Orfeo - too flimsy Cybex Coya - where do I even begin with this bad fold GB Pockit - not worth your fingers Ergobaby Metro - too heavy for a travel stroller and unfold feels meh SummerInfant 3d quickclose - too good to be true, super flimsy Nuna TRVL - too short seat, too big to take into the cabin and too expensive for what it is Uppababy Minu - too big for a travel stroller model, weird bumper bar and flimsy canopy LOVING: Cybex Priam - amazing, especially the e-version. If I were to get a one full-size stroller this would be my top choice Stokke Yoyo3 - most well-known and guaranteed on board Joolz Aer - smooth ride, great accessories Joolz Hub2 - solid mid-size option Cybex Gazelle - good for 2 under 2 Bombi - good mid-size option Bugaboo Butterfly 2 - didn't like the first version, but these upgrades made it better Mamazing - good budget option Zoe Traveler - amazing canopy and solid stroller Inglesina Quid - cute solid compact stroller
r/BabyBumps • Best and worst strollers brands/ models? ->me metro+ deluxe stays in my trunk as my everyday stroller!!!! obsessed with it
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->We just did our first flight with metro+ and it’s fantastic
r/NewParents • Is Uppababy stroller & car seat too much for airport? ->Not really but its also the cheapest travel stroller with a bassinet like recline I could find and I wouldn’t change a thing about it
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller [on] ->You can put it in any recline position! You just tighten 2 straps on the back as much as you want. It’s a great stroller
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Looking for travel stroller recommendation [ON] ->City metro + has near flat recline and you can attach a ride along board for the older one. It’s also on clearance right now as the metro city 3 was released.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller recommendations for travel to Europe, will have a 24 month old and a 7month old. [mb] ->We got the Ergobaby and love it! So far we have only used it for a quick 2 day trip down to Disney World with our 2.5 month old, but it worked really well. My thoughts: * super light & easy to carry if you buy the backpack bag for $30. * Southwest gave us no issues about carrying it into the cabin (only tried when in the bag. Not sure about issues if you had it out) * pushes almost as smooth as our Nuna Mixx on flat surfaces * baby was able to lay flat. As he gets older I imagine this will be nice for naps on the go! * yes the under basket is small, but we were able to hang a heavy bag from the handle no problem as long as we had counter balance in the basket. * my only complaint is that you have to take the seat out to use with a car seat. It is easy to take out, but you kind of have to make a decision and stick with it for the day.
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel Stroller - Analysis Paralysis ->Also a Cruz and ergo family. The big attraction for me was the price point. Yes I loved the aer and the butterfly, but holy heck was I not about to drop $600+ for a stroller that isn’t even my main one.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Help me pick a travel stroller! [ca] ->To be frank I think your list is a bit hard to achieve with one stroller. I personally have a cybex gazelle which I love because it can turn into a double and the storage basket is huge. My travel stroller is ergobaby metro and I love it for travel bc it’s cabin approved and the full recline is useful for naps on the go. However if 1 handed fold is important to you, the Nuna TRVL can be a great option for you. If you buy the Nuna car seat it fits in the stroller, it’s a travel stroller (but not sure if cabin approved). I have not personally seen many travel systems sell for less than 800 besides I think graco, evenflo and chicco but I’m not familiar with any of these that would fit your description precisely. The Nuna unfortunately doesn’t have a large basket. Large baskets I’ve only seen on large strollers like my gazelle or UB vista (the Cruz has a decent basket too). If you want the Nuna system for roughly 800 you can probably get a used stroller from marketplace and wait for the PIPA to go on sale. We have a PIPA for our son and really like it. Nuna strollers don’t work with car seats besides Nuna unfortunately.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [on] looking for stroller recommendations ->I have both and use both, but you definitely don’t *need* both. I have the ergobaby metro which is amazing for flying because it fits in the overhead bin so no risk of damage by gate checking it. That being said, I used our uppababy travel system constantly when my daughter was first born. Popping her car seat in and out of the stroller for errands was significantly easier than lugging the car seat in the store and/or taking her out of her car seat to go in the store. Plus the bassinet attachment was so nice for neighborhood walks at the beginning. It comes down to your lifestyle, what’s important to you from a convenience standpoint, and your budget. I still choose the uppababy over my ergobaby metro unless we’re traveling because it’s a smoother ride and my daughter seems more comfortable in it. Honestly she prefers our veer wagon to all strollers anyway so that’s also an option (has a nap system attachment that turns it into a bassinet) and your baby will enjoy that for many years to come. You can also find a lot of strollers second hand for very reasonable prices and the resale value is pretty good.
r/BabyBumps • Do most people have and use both a regular stroller AND a travel stroller? ->I use the Nuna trvl as my travel and every day stroller and I think it does very well . Easy to fold , not so heavy, easy to fit in the car ( won’t be accepted in the airplane) but so fas it hasn’t been a issue for us ( and we travel a lot ) we just give it at the gate . the wheels are not so big but the suspension is good . So for me it’s okay as everyday stroller . The chair doesn’t recline a lot but in the first months we used it with the car seat ( nuna pipa ) . The basket side is good . Enough for a diaper bag my bag or some other things. I would say the only thing I hate are the straps . I think I never learn to use them properly or maybe now that my son is 17 months the seem to be short for him . Before I purchased the nuna I ordered two more ; : the yoyo , the ergo metro. I wanted to love the yo-yo but seemed pretty small for a bigger todller The ergo metro seemed cheaper but I think it’s a good option
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Nuna trvl review ->We have the metro+ and like it so far! My LO is just shy of 1 and we’ve been starting to use it more recently since he wasn’t a fan of the stroller when he was younger. I would also suggest you consider gettig a carrier! So easy to be out and about especially when they’re so little.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Advice [bc] ->Ergobaby Metro+ (not the new Metro 3) works with Chicco. Mountain Buggy Nano, Summer 3D Quickclose CS+, and Zoe Tour v2 do also.
r/Buyingforbaby • Compact Travel Stroller! ->With the amount of cobbles you will encounter in Italy you need something with good suspension. It was as good as non existent on the metro plus so if it's ergobaby you are keen on you should definitely consider the metro 3 over the older versions. Joolz aer also has great suspension but is also too expensive for a compact stroller IMO.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller recommendations- Ergobaby metro+ vs deluxe [bc] ->With a 4 month old you'd still need a stroller that can lie flat and many travel strollers don't recline all the way! Check out the ergobaby metro which has a built in bassinet mode without additional attachments
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Budget Travel stroller brands [ON] ->The ergobaby metro is super comfy - one of the most padded seats, an actually supportive footrest, fully flat recline etc
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller recommendations, smaller than vista but more comfortable than a travel stroller [on] ->We love our ergobaby metro! Edit: some considerations that will help you narrow down options - what's your budget? The bugaboo butterfly, uppababy minu, joolz aer, stokke yoyo etc are highly rated compact strollers but are the most expensive. The ergobaby metro is a mid range priced stroller. There are also very affordable options too. Are there specific features you care about? For example, do you want it to be able to fully recline flat for naps or for younger babies, or a canopy with good coverage, or a good size basket? The ergobaby metro checks those boxes. Or do you care more about being super lightweight? The joolz aer is only 13 pounds. Or do you want a large basket? The bugaboo butterfly is your pick.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Recommendations: Everyday stroller that is also good for traveling [on] ->We love our metro+ and it has held up well! Have taken it on grass, dirt roads, etc and has been the perfect stroller for the car or outdoors when it's not snowy. We have probably put more than 10lbs of things in the basket and regularly stuff a normal sized backpack in there. The seat back pocket is a nice extra feature for storage for things like blankets. Highly recommend the travel bag from ergobaby if you're going to actually be travelling. That said, no stroller is perfect, including this one! I actually don't find the fold bad at all. But I do struggle with the unfold. I think if you're strong, you can unfold it with one flick like in videos, but usually I need two hands and struggle a little. It's also hard to reach the brake when the seat is fully reclined flat, but that's not a big deal.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->Pretty sure the ergobaby metro is infinite recline, not just 2 options? You can choose how reclined it is by pulling the cords
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Looking for travel stroller recommendation [ON] ->Someone posted a discount code for ergobaby for 30% off everything: tbstoronto30 Though I believe this code ends soon! Like possibly today. I did a bit of research and didn't want to spend overly much on a travel stroller. I don't need it to be bougie Nuna or Uppababy, just need it to be compact with the option to lay the seat completely flat if needed, as we will be traveling with a 4mo and 3yo in a few months. I chose the metro+ stroller (though the metro+ deluxe comes with a free ride along board right now if that's important!)
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Recommendations [ON] ->I traveled with my baby at 3.5 months. I nursed while traveling, it was the easiest of the options. I started training myself going out, learning to nurse on the carrier, nursing at the mall, in restaurants. However my baby is now 6 months and very easily distracted- I've become really familiar with nursing rooms in malls, most airports also have nursing rooms so maybe consider that? Solids- we've started solids with my baby. For now he only really needs one piece of food/meal a day, so if we're going out we bring a cucumber, or a fruit. But he's also been eating from my plate, pizza crust, steamed veggies, yesterday he got a taste of a mild curry! I'm not sure about feeding this way every day as we're also being careful about allergen introductions etc. Also, feeding a baby is a messy ordeal, mine ends up in the bath 8/10 times he eats. Stroller- I LOVE my ergobaby metro. Got it because it was more budget friendly than other travel strollers and also because it reclines fully so baby is able to easily nap in it. It folds small but the OG isn't cabin approved so we had to gate check it. We just used a thick plastic bag as a cover and I highly recommend some sort of cover for both car seat and stroller, plane hulls are gross! My travel stroller gets a lot of use these days as it's better than my uppababy to take shopping, to restaurants etc. For the car seat you can also consider renting one with your rental car. It isn't too much more and may be easier to travel with less stuff. But definitely get a cover if you take yours. Some people even suggest traveling with the car seat box as that way you can see damage. My main tip for traveling with a baby is- remember your baby is a person and has as much right to be there as anyone else! They also have a right to have their needs tended to - feeding, changing etc. I found most people helpful and understanding but I would stress myself out thinking it was inconveniencing others... Also, bring extra diapers and a couple of clothing changes easily accessible- something about traveling and diaper blowouts. And board the plane last! Let those traveling with you take all the stuff ahead and you board as the last person, the least amount of time sitting with baby the better.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travelling from [AB] to [PE] and [NB] with a 6 month old - recommendations needed ->Also have 3 strollers! Second hand uppababy vista with the bassinet/seat for walks in the neighborhood, it handled the snow really well; ergobaby metro for travel and now as my car stroller (uppababy takes up most of the trunk); and a running stroller we got second hand as well. The running stroller we might switch to one that can be also a bike trailer, but baby is only 5 months so we haven't run with him yet. You could get a jogging stroller as your everyday stroller. I have friends who do that. Some are adapted to use with the car seat and the large wheels are great in the snow into the toddler years.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Do we really need multiple strollers ? [qc] ->Ergobaby Metro+. Comfy, nimble, and folds smaller than some carry-on roller bags. We started using it when kiddo was 18 months; she’s almost 5 and we’re still taking it on trips.
r/NewParents • Favorite strollers for flying? ->I have the ergobaby metro + and I love it!!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->Get one that can fold up really quickly and easily. People like the yoyo because it gets small - but the fold mechanism is weird to me. There are plenty out there now that fit in the overhead but fold super quick. We have the ergobaby metro plus. It’s a bit bulkier than yoyo but still fits in overhead but it feels like a solid stroller that doesn’t tip over, can go totally flat and has a decent basket. But its fold is not super fast. We also had the city jogger travel one that we really like as it was very light weight - had a faster fold
r/nycparents • What collapsible travel stroller do you recommend? ->I have two strollers: a jogging stroller (Bob all terrain pro, this was great in the snow) and a travel stroller (Ergobaby Metro). I prefer to babywear when I’m out and about so I definitely don’t need a third stroller. I think your stroller needs depend a lot on your lifestyle and where you live.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Do we really need multiple strollers ? [qc] ->I love this stroller. However i am SO ticked at ergobaby. They continue to sell the stroller and advertise that it is compatible with chicco carseat.. however everywhere i look the adapter is out of stock. I inquired about inventory only to learn they DISCONTINUED IT. Shame on them being so misleading to new parents. I am appalled. So word of caution to anyone looking to buy.. I am desperate to find one.. so if anyone sees a rogue one out there somewhere or is willing to sell me theirs.......
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->Ergobaby metro - i love this stroller. Bassinet option built in (great for naps and changing on the go) and tho thr basket isn't huge my osprey diaper bag fits with room to spare.
r/Buyingforbaby • Looking for a stroller that can be used for travel and everyday use ->We love our Ergobaby metro stroller for travel. I think it’s checks most of your boxes and it did fine for us all through Scotland. For what it’s worth, decided to just go ahead and use our American car seat for that Scotland trip. I read a lot of pros and cons to renting a UK seat while we were there and ultimately I was more comfortable knowing it was our seat and hadn’t been through an accident. From what I read most law enforcement doesn’t really care if you have a foreign car seat and it’s not an issue they would press but that may depend on the country and obviously depends what level of risk you’re comfortable with.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Best travel stroller for Europe ->In a situation where we’ve had to get around from place to place, we rent a car and bring our car seat (the airline checks it for free), or most car rental companies rent car seats along with their cars. We use the ergobaby metro stroller while travelling and love it as you can fold it up to fit in the carry on.
r/toddlers • Travel toddler car seat with stroller - why isn’t this a thing? ->We love our ergobaby metro stroller for travelling, especially for the fact it folds up such that you can use it as one of your carry on items on the plane and have access to it the moment you deplane/don’t have to worry about it getting damaged!
r/toddlers • Best Stroller for tall 2 year old for Europe/ cobblestone ->Not sure it's worth getting another stroller for 5 weeks. Unless you have concerns about your baby's neck and core strength, they're probably fine reclined in your uppababy seat. If you want to get another stroller anyways (like a small travel stroller), the ergobaby is compact (fit in the overhead bin on a flight to Europe) and reclines flat, though the seat doesn't go fully vertical, which annoyed my 15 month old when we were sight seeing
r/bigbabiesandkids • Lie flat infant stroller recommendations? Ideally travel size. ->We used the Ergobaby Metro+ for our trip in January with our 11 month old and love it! It folds super easy and it’s very light and compact, it folds up small enough to go into an overhead compartment on a plane. Lies pretty much fully flat and has a decent sized basket and a good size sun canopy. We’ll be brining it again at the end of the month for a two week trip. It was very wet during our trip and we just used the rain cover that came with it and it stayed perfectly dry. There’s a new model so the old one that we have might be on sale.
r/WaltDisneyWorld • Single stroller recommendations if you were to do it again? ->We have the metro+ version. Love it. Never have any issues.
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel stroller decision fatigue - help wanted! ->We have the uppababy Ridge (used with the Clek Liing) plus Ergobaby Metro plus combination and i feel like it covers all bases for our particular lifestyle!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Do we really need multiple strollers ? [qc] ->Love our ergobaby metro as well. They launched the metro 3 which is supposed to be a one hand open and close.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Help me pick a travel stroller! [ca] ->Wife and i are expecting our first in march we just bought the Ergobaby Metro+
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Go-to for Stroller system/travel system? [BC] ->I have two strollers, ones a combo travel set with my car seat (graco) the stroller parts takes up most of my trunk and I have an SUV. The other stroller is a smaller one that folds up and is made for travel called Ergobaby Metro+. I can fit it on the floor behind the front passenger seats so I have my trunk back! It's 10" wide x 20" tall folded up. It's a little pricey ($300) so if you have time, try to wait for a sale. I got it around 30-40% off. Edit: it does have a car seat combo set but I didn't get that one so I'm unsure of the specifics.
r/NewParents • A stroller that fits in the 2005 Toyota Prius... horizontally or diagonal? ->Ergobaby Metro+, the recline is best I've seen for a travel stroller and fits in the overhead. Recently amazon had the Ergobaby Metro+ Deluxe on sale for $220 which was a a great deal
r/Buyingforbaby • Best reclining travel stroller? ->Ergobaby Metro+, the recline is best I've seen for a travel stroller and fits in the overhead. Recently amazon had the Ergobaby Metro+ Deluxe on sale for $220 which was a a great deal
r/Buyingforbaby • Best reclining travel stroller? ->I went down a dark hole on travel strollers recently as we want one for an upcoming cruise. I bought a Bombi V2, an Ergobaby Metro+ Deluxe and a Bugaboo Butterfly. \- Bombi was great for the money, even with the purchase of a snack tray, it was by the cheapest option but it also felt a little less premium than the other two, not terrible though, also the green color was a little too green, and the fold wasn't as compact although only marginally bigger, it did have the best fold, very similar to the Nuna. \-Ergobaby Metro+Deluxe, although the MSRP is $399, amazon recently had it on sale for $320 and a 30% coupon so it came out to $220. We really liked this stroller, the lay flat was great, nice sized wheels, premium feel, the main issue that deterred my wife is the size of the basket, her large Dagne Dover bag did not fit and the fold/unfold is a little more complicated than the other two. \-Bugaboo - Picked up an open-box off ebay for $29x, the fold is nice, although Bombi is smoother, the basket is huge, easily fit the diaper bag, my wife wasn't a fan that it did not lay flat like the Ergobaby but everything else checked most of the boxes. That being said, we are interested in the Minu V3 that is coming out as it appears to check all the boxes, looks like it lays more flat than the Bugaboo, has a 20lb capacity basket, is newborn capable out of the box, will work with our Uppababy Aria car seat. It basically looks like a Butterfly copy but with improvements. After the stroller showdown we had in our living room, we decided to return the Bombi and the Ergobaby, we pre-ordered the Minu V3 but have also kept the Bugaboo just in case the Minu does not arrive in time or has some fatal flaw we don't know about yet. With the purchase price of under $300 for a new Bugaboo, I should be able to recoup my money if we end up with the Minu V3.
r/Buyingforbaby • Joolz aer+ vs bugaboo butterfly ->I was happy with my ergobaby metro+! (Last trip the airlines broke it) I did use it in the overhead cabin once and there were no issues. It lays flat and my baby was able to nap in it happily.
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel Stroller - Analysis Paralysis ->We used the doona during infancy and plan to do the same with second baby coming. But for travel/easy folding/compact, we have the ergobaby delux stroller. It’s sooo easy to fold, has a newborn setting, and can be used up to 45 pounds. The cargo space underneath has the capability of enlarging for more items. We take it everywhere now, and even took it to Hawaii which fit easily in the overhead compartment of the plane.
r/BabyBumps • What's the best stroller for me? ->I have a love hate relationship with this stroller. It’s cheaper than the bugaboo and it has full lie down for travel naps but geez, I really hope in their new model they figured out the unfold and brakes. There is no one someone can hold their baby and unfold this easily at the same time. It’s a 2 person or put down your baby job
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller recommendations [BC] ->Unless you plan to travel extensively, just spend more on 1 stroller and get a cheaper travel one. We got the Cruz that we use as our main driver and the metro+ for travel. We use the Cruz 95% of the time. My sister spent more and got the bugaboo travel one which means she now barely uses her Nuna main stroller
r/NewParents • What kind of/how many strollers do people have? ->We have this and minu, both great for different reasons. If you’re planning on having baby nap a lot on stroller, this one basically fully reclines!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Best lightweight travel stroller? [Ca] [BC] ->We had 2 under 2, soon to be 3 under 3 and we fine for traveling having 2 separate is much easier! We bought minu when we went away with just 1 and I loved having that for 2nd because mesa fits into it. Made it easy going out solo and not taking the vista. Then we travelled twice with 2u2, once to Ireland and once to an all inclusive. We liked the flexibility of having 2 strollers and bought universal attachments to hold them together if needed. I prefer minu IF you have car seat that goes with it. The ergobaby is better for young babies when traveling as it completely reclines and has a sort of ‘bassinet’ mode to it. Minu fits more underneath but not substantially! Both easy to fold, neither fits in overhead bin
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Best lightweight travel stroller? [Ca] [BC] ->The minu basket is great! EBM Is quite smaller. Nice thing with minu too is you can attach mesa/aria seats with adapters if you have small babes!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Buying a travel stroller vs using Uppababy Cruz on trips [on] ->We have this one, the ergobaby metro plus. For our daily, we have the bugaboo Fox 5, which is a big leap in terms of weight, storage and overall feel. Folds for security, fits in overhead, fits in trunk of cars. https://ergobaby.com/metro-compact-city-stroller-slate-grey?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=ToF_PerformanceMax_Stroller&utm_term=—&utm_content=—&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADk2sN1y763-dLxUv4suQLCiwoxAq&gclid=Cj0KCQjw16O_BhDNARIsAC3i2GDT-hb5toem7OiG-_rRORP_4qAxYhM5al-5Qh7N1BGMBrQPyvSzJ4UaAp4gEALw_wcB
r/NewParents • Travel Advice: Bag or Gate Check Stroller/Car Seat? ->Have the same Cruz (home, walking to do groceries stroller) and Ergo Metro (stays in the car / travel stroller) set up! We got the Ergobaby Metro+ stroller for travel specifically because it lays flat! The sun shade is great and easy to fold with one hand. Defs agree it does not open with one hand. You can usually get it for $100 during major sales (Black Friday, Boxing Day kind of thing). It fits *some* overhead bins on flights (it won’t in the smaller Air Canada Jazz planes that do Vancouver to Kelowna) but should fit larger planes for international flights. We gate checked it from Vancouver to Cancun & Vancouver to Ireland with no stroller bag and it came out fine.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Help me pick a travel stroller! [ca] ->Get a travel stroller, if you can afford it. Airlines are known to mess up/break expensive strollers. A cheaper travel stroller doesn't feel as bad if it gets damaged by the airline company. Also it is significantly smaller, lighter and more compact. The obvious tradeoff is that your baby isn't as comfortable in it, but that's why it's a temporary stroller as opposed to being your main one. We have the ergo baby metro+ and it does the job.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Buying a travel stroller vs using Uppababy Cruz on trips [on] ->I have the metro+, I didn't want to splurge on the deluxe because the travel stroller isn't something that I use all the time. For me it has been worth it so far, it is light weight, it packs up neatly, and I really like the fact that baby can lie down flat, it's been useful for diaper changes and naps on the go. I agree the basket isn't as big, but it's not a dealbreaker for me because like I said, it's not the stroller I use all the time (uppababy I use more).
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [bc] Travel Stroller recommendations Ergo Baby Metro+ vs. Metro+ Deluxe? ->5 weeks is pretty young for a travel stroller as they usually don't parent face and are don't always recline all the way flat. I have the ergo baby metro and it does recline fully and the newer model looks even better for younger babies. I was also looking at the evenflo reversi. I'm not sure how heavy it is but I like that it was more lightweight than my Cruz and could still parent face.
r/NewParents • Affordable lightweight stroller recommendations for 5 week old? Not able to carry our primary stroller. ->I have the ergobaby metro. It isn't my favourite but it's fine. The fold and unfold is weird to me and I would say it isn't super smooth. We use it for walks around the neighborhood sometimes (usually use our main stroller) and if I'm not paying attention we can get stuck on uneven sidewalks. I haven't traveled with it yet but it would be fine if you're mostly on pavement.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->I have the Cruz and Ergo too. I have a love/hate relationship with it because I find the open to be super annoying and def not one handed. I do like that it has decent storage on the bottom and I LOVE that it lays flat.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Help me pick a travel stroller! [ca] ->We also have the Ergo and are going on our first trip with it soon. Did you get the travel bag to check it or do you just fold and check?
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller and Travel Crib [ON] ->Amazing, you have convinced me to order it!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller and Travel Crib [ON] ->We have the ergo baby metro. Overall I like it a lot. I LOVE that it folds completely flat so my LO used to nap in it comfortably. My almost 2 year old still fits in it nicely and it packs up pretty small. The underneath storage is small but it is on all travel strollers. The only thing I don't love is how it opens. I find it super awkward and difficult to do if I have anything else (like a toddler) in my hands.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [On] UppaBaby Vista 3 vs. Evenflo Pivot / Graco ->We have an older ergo metro and it recline multiple settings. I think it's important that they recline totally flat (which it does) especially if you have a younger baby in it as they will likely sleep. I actually find it doesn't sit up as straight as I would like (a complaint I have about many travel strollers) but that wouldn't be a huge issue if you have a young baby using it.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Looking for travel stroller recommendation [ON] ->The ergo is pretty good! Also the joie travel stroller is now available at target, it looks really nice and is super popular in Europe, might have gotten this instead of the metro if it was available! It’s owned by Nuna so probably similar to theirs
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel Stroller - Analysis Paralysis ->Yes! It reclines to a bassinet
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel Stroller from birth ->I have the metro+ and used it from birth. It’s fabulous and I use it as our everyday stroller 9 times out of ten. I’ve also taken it on 4 flights and it’s a godsend for travel. My baby far preferred laying flat in the stroller than being in her car seat so we never bothered with a car seat compatibility. My only complaint is that I have a very tall baby and I’m not sure how much longer she will last in the seat. I’ve heard the Bugaboo Butterfly is great and has a larger seat, but it’s also more expensive and doesn’t have a newborn option. Good luck on your travels!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Advice [bc] ->I have a jogging stroller (bumbleride indie) and a travel stroller (ergobaby metro+) and I feel these 2 covers everything I need. I use the travel stroller as my day to day unless conditions call for the jogging stroller, like rough terrain or snow. I think you could avoid buying a third stroller by investing in 2 good strollers that will cover your bases. I looove using a compact stroller as my day to day. And my bumbleride handles like a dream in the snow. It’s so easy.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Do we really need multiple strollers ? [qc] ->I have a Metro+ which I really enjoy for travel and flying. But I have to say, you’re not likely to find a compact travel stroller that does well in the snow and on trails. It’s not about wheels wearing out, but rather travel strollers have small wheels that really aren’t designed for all-terrain. I would never take my Metro+ on a hike. I’ve taken it through snow and it was not fun.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller [on] ->Hi, I actually have both the metro+ and I just got the metro 3. I traveled all around Japan with a 15-month-old with the metro+ so it’s not a bad travel or everyday stroller option by any means but I will say that the metro 3 has several features that make me like it more and are worth the additional price: - ease of folding / unfolding: I always struggled with the mechanism for the metro+, and never liked that sometimes I would have to use both hands; with the metro 3 I can easily fling it open with one - the canopy: the metro+ canopy is really glitchy which can also make it more inconvenient to use and the metro 3 canopy is expandable! - the wheels: either stroller actually has good wheels but so far metro 3 are smooth and their suspension is better than my other stroller (Nuna TRVL) - standing upright: the metro+ would often fall over in the trunk while the metro 3 has been holding more steady - newborn features: not sure if this is applicable to you now or later but the metro 3 has a whole new attachment / encasement for newborns that the metro+ doesn’t have There are more comparisons / reasons why, but honestly, the folding mechanism and the canopy were such deal breakers for me that I won’t be using the metro+ any more and have moved on to the 3. If it makes you feel any better it looks like metro + strollers have free returns if you decide to try that one first https://ergobaby.com/return-policy.
r/BabyBumps • Ergobaby Metro+ vs. Metro 3 ->Ergobaby Metro. Strong, yet family light. You can push it through the aisle in a plane. Easy to fold and carry on escalator..I've used used it in the underground. Good for towns and cities. I think can hold a child up to 25 kg. Folds away and you can put it in the overhead thingy in a plane and takes up little room in a boot.
r/UKParenting • The goldilocks travel stroller - does it exist?? ->I love our ergobaby metro so so much it is our go to stroller we almost never use the mockingbird one anymore. We took it traveling in Europe and it was a dream to fly and adventure with too. My ONLY gripe is it does not come with a snack tray. I hate that I would have to buy the separate bar and then buy a janky clip on snack tray.
r/bigbabiesandkids • Best compact travel stroller for big baby? ->Seconding, we love love love the ergobaby metro! It's our daily stroller and flew with it from MD to Spain and it was a dream both traveling and while there.
r/bigbabiesandkids • Lie flat infant stroller recommendations? Ideally travel size. ->Uppababy minu 3! I tried the bugaboo, Joolz are, metro and hands down prefer minu 3. Overhead compatible, sturdy, big basket and full recline.
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel stroller ->Second this recommendation! Been very happy with it.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Recommendations: Everyday stroller that is also good for traveling [on] ->I have the Ergobaby Metro and I love it. The fold was tricky initially but now I have no issues with it.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->I have the Ergonaby Metro+ and it has been great. The near flat recline is perfect for naps.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Recommendations [ON] ->Flew with ergobaby metro + and it fit in the overhead of air Canada. Although the flights were all international.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller that fits in overhead compartment? [AB] ->Same. I had it in the backpack travel bag.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller that fits in overhead compartment? [AB] ->We have a large jogging stroller and a smaller travel one (the Ergobaby Metro+) and it has been hugely helpful to have both. The Ergobaby folds easily and fits in an airplane overhead, and it’s also much lighter and therefore easier to maneuver on trains, the subway, etc.. It has been with us on multiple trips, and even when we don’t use it at our destination it’s great to have for airports—makes it easy to navigate and gives baby a defined space in crowds. Would recommend.
r/NewParents • Travel Stroller - will i need it? ->We have an ergobaby metro+ travel stroller and love it. It’s designed to fit in most overhead bins so we can carry it on sometimes; or else it’s easy to gate check. It has a nearly full recline and is approved for use with newborns, so there’s no worry about baby needing to be ready to sit up independently. Would recommend.
r/NewParents • Is Uppababy stroller & car seat too much for airport? ->By default you cannot use an infant car seat long term—it’s limited to about a year of use and many folks switch to a convertible car seat sooner due to preference or because the bucket gets too heavy to maneuver. Personally I much prefer a “real” stroller to the Doona which is not that easy to push. You don’t need a high end brand—Graco and Chicco are two really well regarded brands in terms of safety and have a slightly lower price point. I wound up with a jogging stroller that accepts a bassinet attachment as well as an Ergobaby brand travel stroller which is what I bring out and about. I love the travel stroller—it can accept an infant seat but also reclines fully flat so can be used for a newborn without a car seat, and it’s easy to fold and fits in an airplane overhead. We typically use the jogger (now with a regular seat) for walks from the house and keep the travel stroller in the car.
r/BabyBumps • stroller + car seat recs? esp. Nuna or Doona - FTM feeling overwhelmed ->The Cosco seat also fits perfectly on the seat of our Ergobaby Metro+, then secures with a luggage strap. Car seat goes on the plane seat, stroller goes in the overhead
r/toddlers • Travel toddler car seat with stroller - why isn’t this a thing? ->Being able to take it on a plane as hand luggage is really useful, both for the long walk to the baggage carousel and because it's much less likely to get damaged. It's also good as they're so light. We had an Ergobaby Metro which was around 6kg so it was possible to lift it with a toddler inside it, which made dealing with stairs much easier. Once we bought it we sold our travel system and used it full time, because it was also much more convenient for catching buses and meant more boot space (which was at a premium as we had a Fiesta!).
r/UKParenting • Travel stroller? ->I had an Ergobaby Metro and I loved it!
r/UKParenting • Travel/Compact Strollers? ->We chose the ergobaby metro too because it was inexpensive, handles can go short for short people, recline flat with adjustable leg rest, and has a bigger storage area underneath
r/nycparents • What collapsible travel stroller do you recommend? ->I just got the Ergo Metro + a couple of weeks ago for a trip in 2 months. I am obsessed with it and it now lives in the car.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Help me pick a travel stroller! [ca] ->Ergobaby Metro+! We got ours for travel in June but it's already been used at least 10 times. We absolutely love it, especially the lay flat feature.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Recommendations [ON] ->I have a jogger stroller and we absolutely LOVE IT (Bumbleride Indie, it lays flat so baby doesn't need a car seat as a newborn), I definitely prefer it over the non jogging ones we tried. That being said, it's a bit big for places like the aquarium, assuming it's as busy as the one here. Buuuut a good option is having a second, smaller stroller to keep in the car for stores and busy places. We got an Ergobaby Metro for travel and it's lived in the car the last few months because it's so handy having it and not dragging the big one around.
r/BabyBumps • Tell me what freaking diaper bag, car seat and stroller to buy. My brain is melting. ->Flew with Air Canada with Ergobaby metro+ in overhead bin from YVR to YCC, no problems either direction.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller that fits in overhead compartment? [AB] ->I bought this stroller from Best Buy roughly the same price back in August. I really like it; I've taken it on a plane and put it in the overhead bin. I like how easy it is to open with one hand, and I find it reasonably light. The reason I bought it was mainly for travel, to have something I don't need to gate check, I wanted something that would hold up to the cobblestone/ uneven sidewalks, as well as lays flat for naps on the go. Knowing that it's held up when pushing in ice and snow this winter gives me confidence it'll hold up for our European trip in September. I had to buy the cup holder, support bar, carry bag, and weather cover separately. But not all at once, just as I needed them. I know you can get the next model up on their website with some of the accessories included for more. I don't have much to say in terms of cons, it does everything I need it for, and haven't had any complaints or problems with it in the past 7 months.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON] ->I have the Ergobaby Metro. Have taken it on the plane, overhead bin. Buy the bag for it, cause it's like a back pack and it makes it easier to carry. It's held up even in pushing in snow, here in Calgary. I have the rain cover (worked great when I lived in Vancouver LOL) and the footmuff for the cold temps here in Alberta.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->We have an Ergobaby Metro+ as our main stroller and used it since birth with my now toddler. I really like that there's no attachments needed and it has grown with our kid. And also travel friendly.
r/BabyBumps • Lightweight strollers useable from birth without a car seat? ->We love this stroller, bought ours second hand but often see it advertised for $100 off regular price. They have a new version of it out now so I wonder if you wait a bit if the older one will go on a better sale.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON] ->I have the Yoyo and I love it as a city buggy for quick trips but if I was buying another one, I’d be going for the Ergobaby Metro+, the almost lay flat recline is vital. The Yoyo doesn’t recline nearly far enough for a good nap between 6 months to 1 year in my opinion. I think you can buy a foot rest extension for it now though? Also from my research, the Ergobaby handlebar is adjustable which is great if one parent is taller etc. I believe both the Bugaboo Butterfly and Ergobaby have one handed fold which the Yoyo doesn’t so worth bearing in mind!
r/beyondthebump • Travel stroller recommendations ->I never see it recommended anywhere, but we have absolutely loved our Ergobaby Metro+ (not the new Metro 3, but the plus). We’re from the Northeast but we’ve logged more than 30 days of Disney trips with 3 round trip flights with this thing and it’s going strong! It’s sturdy, lies flat for naps, has a solid amount of under stroller storage for a travel stroller (we do a small backpack for water bottles, diaper kit, and the basics for meals and snacks that comes with us on most rides, and then a zip top tote under the stroller with changes of clothes, rain gear for all, extra snacks, first aid stuff, etc, that stays under the stroller unless we need it). What I love most about the Metro+ is the extendable handlebar and the design without a straight-across rear axel. If you or your partner are tall, or just ever have issues kicking the stroller when you walk, you will definitely have those issues at Disney, especially when you walk quickly, and this is the only travel stroller I’ve tried that makes it so I can’t kick the stroller. Other tips for a one year old: bring a carrier, too—great for lines and you can wear the kid straight onto many rides. And for stroller set up, we always also have one of those JW Childress side-attaching nets, Oxo stroller hooks for various loose things, and a stroller caddy with cup holder space. My guru for Disney with a baby has been Pixie Dusted Mom on YouTube—she has a lot of great stroller set up videos as well as good packing suggestions etc. For rain gear, any universal single stroller rain cover is going to work better than a shower curtain because they typically have mesh built into the sides to make it safe/breathable for your baby to be in the stroller during the rain if you need to move from place to place. Hope this helps, and have a great time!
r/WaltDisneyWorld • Single stroller recommendations if you were to do it again? ->I have and like the ergo baby metro. I hate to admit I like it better than my more expensive and large phil&ted sport It fits behind my driver seat (I’m 5’4), it packs up easy and can open up one handed. The seat is adjustable so if my baby needs a nap I can lay it flat. Decent amount of storage at the bottom. Edit: added more info
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Help me pick a travel stroller! [ca] ->I bought the + (not deluxe—probably wouldn’t recommend deluxe tbh) for a trip and it’s been my daily stroller since, so about 10 months. For flying, I did one leg storing it in the overhead bin and never again. It fit overhead but barely fits through the aisle (obvi folded lol). With a baby and bags heading to the back of the plane with it was insane. I wish I had thought about this and put less weight on the overhead compartment aspect when shopping for a stroller. I would have gone with the Nuna Trvl which was better designed in my opinion The cons: tbh a little rickety, I’m curious to see how it holds up as my daily stroller after another year. Bumps in the road / curbs/ snow are all challenging but not outrageous. The accessories are just not well designed lol like I got the bar so I could mount a snack and drink tray and it’s at the most illogical angle. Which is also why I don’t recommend the plus—not worth it for the kind of bad accessories and some premium fabric The pros: price, weight, compactness. The fold was tricky the first few times (including holding up a huge security line at the airport) but now it’s easy peasy. I’ve travelled to many places where I’ve had to carry the stroller up stairs with my baby inside the stroller and the weight makes it possible. I carry a ton of stuff in the basket. The bassinet recline was AMAZING when my baby was small and I still use it (although now my baby prefers to nap in a more seated position due to fomo) For the price, amazing stroller. Like I mentioned, I think I would have gone with the Nuna Trvl if it had been in the budget, but the metro+ is close enough to what I needed, and budget was a huge priority
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->We live in a rural area but travel to a nearby city often and we got a jogging stroller and a travel stroller. The Ergobaby Metro Plus travel stroller so far is great for us. We haven’t flown yet but it can apparently fit in the overhead compartment.
r/BabyBumps • Am I being naive in wanting an absolute UNICORN of a stroller? Or do I just need to accept that I actually need three strollers? ->We've had the metro+ since March. It has held up beautifully, has been gate checked on 6 round trip flights (in a simple bag to keep it clean), and now lives in my husband's car as the errands stroller. We are tall so the extendable handle is key for us. I find the fold super easy - it's the unfold that is tough/awkward for me. We usually gate check because it makes getting on the plane easier for us with less to stow and then get down on arrival from the OH bins with people breathing down your neck haha.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->We love our Metro+. In fact we love it so much more than our baby jogger mini that we sold it and now just use the Metro+. It's MUCH lighter and only slightly more difficult to fold/unfold. And it takes up way less space which is nice for our car, too.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Budget Travel stroller brands [ON] ->I seem to love it too!!! The unfold is the hard part though. The only diff between the + and the deluxe is materials and the deluxe comes with the bumper bar and cup holder. Also 20% extra storage underneath.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->I bought the metro plus deluxe and I really loved it for the price, quality, sunshade, lie flat feature, adjustable handle, and belly bar. It was great. Howeverrrr I still returned it bc I am a die hard uppababy fan and I can’t help but want to try out the minu 3 before making my final decision. I sometimes regret returning the metro but I remind myself that I can always buy it again later if I want it back. It really is a great stroller - the only drawback I found that could be a little annoying is the unfold. Compared to others it has a bit of an extra step which I thought was cumbersome. It’s not difficult by any means though.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->Yes, we fly with the metro+ - it fits perfectly. I really love the stroller!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller that fits in overhead compartment? [AB] ->Love our ergo baby metro +. Took it to the uk last year and will be taking it to Portugal in July!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Best lightweight travel stroller? [Ca] [BC] ->I have the metro+ deluxe and adore it for travel. Took it onto the plane with no issue. Baby seems happy in it. Pushed it around rickety old British streets with no issues.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->Just flew to Ireland and back with the ergobaby Metro plus. Fit easily! I would recommend this stroller to everyone! We bought it for my trip and I never want to use my nuna again lol. I love the metro+ so much.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller that fits in overhead compartment? [AB] ->Ergobaby Metro plus. It's amazing! We just did Ireland with it.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Best lightweight travel stroller? [Ca] [BC] ->Hi! Just got back from a ten day Europe trip with the Metro plus. I bought the bumper bar so I could attach her toys to it. Very useful! I got a $12 rain cover on Amazon. The basket size is the only downside. It couldn't fit my fully packed diaper backpack, but we didn't mind wearing it so not really an issue. I've been back a few weeks and I prefer it over my nuna now! The small size and weight is wonderful.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [bc] Travel Stroller recommendations Ergo Baby Metro+ vs. Metro+ Deluxe? ->That's a good price, I'd just get the deluxe!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [bc] Travel Stroller recommendations Ergo Baby Metro+ vs. Metro+ Deluxe? ->I've got two! Nuna Mixx. We have a Nuna car seat so it snaps on, we also had the bassinet attachment which was great when she was little. Folds easy, fits in my car trunk no problem. We went on a ten day trip and ended up buying a travel stroller. We got the ergobaby Metro plus and it's now my favourite. Haven't touched my nuna since we've been back. Lays completely flat and she slept like a rock in it when we were out and about.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Do we really need multiple strollers ? [qc] ->I second this. I looooove my Metro plus. We just did ten days in Ireland with it. Since we've been back, I haven't touched my nuna, I've been using the ergobaby everyday. So much lighter. I have a 9 month old and she slept like a rock in it when we were out and about. I did buy the bumper bar so I could attach her toys. And the cup holder, I just took my universal one off my other stroller.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller recommendations- Ergobaby metro+ vs deluxe [bc] ->I have a Nuna mixx. I got it used and bought a bassinet for it. Absolutely phenomenal when she was tiny. The bassinet was the greatest thing. Now I use an Ergo baby Metro plus travel stroller. We got it for our trip but I love it so much it's now my day to day stroller.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Overwhelmed - Stroller Recommendation [ON] ->I have a Nuna...it's great but we got a ergobaby Metro + for travel and I haven't touched my nuna in months. It's my favourite thing ever. Folds up so small, it's light, lays flat for her to nap in, huge sunshade. Only downside is basket is small.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Recommendations for Stroller for 6 months old [ON] ->I have the ergobaby Metro plus and I have completely stopped using my nuna. It's amazing. Folds up so compact, lays flat, sturdy. We took it to Ireland a few months ago and it was amazing for our trip. Only downside is that the basket is pretty small.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller [on] ->I have nuna mixx stroller and the bucket car seat (well we've switch to a convertible one now because she's 13 months) and got the bassinet for it. Pros: folds flat and fit in my Jetta trunk no problem, easy maneuverability, rumble seat cover comes off to wash Cons: rumble seat doesn't go totally flat Bassinet: amazing all around, great sunshade, easy to wash, we used it as a portable crib for the first few months when we went to our trailer etc. Travel stroller: ergo baby metro+ Pros: this is now my everyday, it's so light, folds up so small, has a lay flat seat my daughter will sleep no problem in, huge sunshade Cons: can't really use it on a trail/gravel roads etc
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Strollers and car seats [on] ->We have 2 strollers—A 2015 Uppababy Cruz v1 and a Ergobaby Metro stroller. We use the Uppababy when we walk around the neighborhood and to the grocery story. It’s just too big and cumbersome in my car trunk to be taking it everywhere. We got the Ergobaby as our travel stroller for vacation, but realized we like using it within the urban setting as it’s so compact.
r/NewParents • Who else has 2 or more strollers and one kid? Are my stroller choices justified? ->I think a lightweight travel stroller would be great - there are so many out there now at different price points. I love the Ergobaby metro+, it lays flat for naps on the go and fits my 3 year old fine. It fits in the overhead bin and is easy to carry. Definitely check fb marketplace too! I've seen several different ones available that look nice.
r/toddlers • Stroller for almost 3 year old? ->I also recommend the Metro plus, we travelled from Canada to Europe and loved the experience using this stroller with a 4 month old. 1) non inflated wheels so you don’t have to worry about them being punctured 2) light weight & easy to fold / compact fold for the car 3) Fits in narrow streets and small restaurants (we were able to use it in Europe, if it didn’t fit we fold the stroller up but we didn’t have to do that 4) pretty sturdy for a low cost stroller 5) the sun shade is quite high so we add a britax mosquito cover which provides full coverage and keeps the sun out / allows baby to sleep in darkness 6) lays fully flat and you can adjust the positioning, great for diaper changes on the go if theres no change tables around 7) doesn’t fit into the overhead compartment on European flights when we travelled but they allow you to stroller check it for free which was fast and easy to do while boarding 8) Rolls decently on grass, cobblestone roads (although bumpy for the baby) don’t know about snow. Only thing it doesn’t roll well on is sand but most strollers don’t I would say the cons are you cant use it with your car seat unless you get adapters and its forward facing which for younger babies it was annoying we couldn’t see our little one (but there is a peep view on the shade). To avoid carrying too much we just ordered taxis that provided car seats instead (extra 5/10 add on) which to us was worth it rather than bring a bulky car seat with us that we hardly used. Try FB marketplace they seem to be selling for around $200-300 or Rebel for around the same price, if you want to buy brand new, sign up with Ergo baby and they give you a 15% discount as well. Hope that helps!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller [on] ->Good choice! ErgoBaby metro+ is the GOAT!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Budget Travel stroller brands [ON] ->This is an elite combo. The metro+ is sooo comfy.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller recommendations, smaller than vista but more comfortable than a travel stroller [on] ->I agree for all the same reasons!! We also have the vista v2 and have been using the metro+ way more since we got it. My baby is 9 months and it’s been on 8 flights with us and allowed for many naps on the go due to the full recline. When not travelling, it’s our every day/car stroller because the vista is just too big and heavy (we also only use the vista for neighbourhood walks now). The padding in the metro+ is so cushy and comfy, it makes me wonder why the vista seats aren’t padded more. Anyway, my baby loves the metro+ and so do we! The only cons I can think of (which aren’t a problem for us) are that the bottom basket is quite small, it only faces outward, the canopy clicks very loudly when being opened/closed so you want to make sure it’s fully open before baby falls asleep (but it’s a fantastic canopy for blocking sun), the little window on the canopy to see babe doesn’t have a magnet or anything to keep it open, and you can’t really open the stroller one handed as easily as some other travel strollers.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON] ->I have a used bumble ride indie stroller as a daily driver/all terrain/jogger. And an ergobaby metro+ as a travel keep in the car stroller Chicco keyfit car seat. Both strollers recline to flat so they work from birth (and clutch for naps for all ages). No regrets
r/BabyBumps • Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->I love having 2. One big burly “home” tank of a stroller (bumble ride indie, used) to keep in the garage for daily outings all around our town and parks, and one lightweight narrow one (Ergobaby metro+, new on sale) to keep in the car for outings. Love em both so far, but I have nothing to compare them to
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->I travelled by plane with the ergobaby metro. My 4 month old was super comfortable, and I felt good that she was safe with the lie flat. She was able to sleep, and it was really easy to maneuver. We gate checked it with the bag, but honestly the bag was so thin I’m not sure it did a whole lot- made it easier for carrying when she wasn’t in it though.
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel stroller for 4 month old? ->I can second this. We’ve used our original metro constantly for 6 years now, it’s been everywhere from the tube to a 10km hike through the countryside. Sounds perfect for what you need.
r/UKParenting • The goldilocks travel stroller - does it exist?? ->We have the Vista V2 and the Ergobaby. What a worlds of a difference when packing for a trip. The Ergobaby is so good. and compact.
r/KiaEV9 • Fitting Full size Stroller in the trunk ->I have the Ergobaby metro, and I believe it has the best quality and features of your choices., e.g., full recline (newborn freindly), foot rest, long extended shade, a seat back that keeps your child more upright versus the natural recline on the YOYOetc. However, it's heavy for solo travel. I use it when traveling with my husband, but for solo travel, I'm getting a Coya. It's next best for features compared to the Ergo but is almost 4 pounds lighter.
r/beyondthebump • Travel stroller recommendations ->Another Ergobaby Metro+ stroller fan here! Get the little backpack too, it’s great to have! We also used our US carseat in Scotland and Ireland without issues. Just bring a seatbelt locking clip because not all taxis have LATCH, so you might need the locking clip for the install. PRACTICE with the locking clip because it’s not easy. 🥲
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Best travel stroller for Europe ->Echoing this! I got one for our trip to Mexico this last week. The seat seems really comfy, nice padded straps, very versatile and moves well. I got the Metro deluxe :)
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller recommendations, smaller than vista but more comfortable than a travel stroller [on] ->I have an everyday stroller (evenflo pivot xpand) for mall/walks/etc. it’s good and will last for the toddler years and second/third kids etc. I like that there’s the option to use the bucket or the bassinet/toddler seat I have a travel one (Ergobaby metro) that supposedly fits in the overhead bin but I don’t like to do that, so I just check it at the gate. We also got a second hand running stroller cause my husband runs and wants to go with baby. That all said, we have a garage to store all these things. If you’re limited on space I’d forgo the running one and get an everyday one you can also run with
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Do we really need multiple strollers ? [qc] ->Ergobaby Metro+. We took this to Rome last fall and it held up incredibly well with all of the cobblestones. We have an Uppababy Vista as our main stroller which is amazing but a tank. The Ergobaby Metro+ well built and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a primary stroller if you need something that is good for both every day and travel.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Recommendations: Everyday stroller that is also good for traveling [on] ->I have the ergobaby Metro+ as my travel stroller and have been happy with it. It folds up compact enough to place in a airplane cabin. Also fits in a car footwell, which is nice.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Best lightweight travel stroller? [Ca] [BC] ->I have the Cruz as my everyday stroller and ergobaby Metro+ as my travel, super happy with this combo
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller recommendations, smaller than vista but more comfortable than a travel stroller [on] ->I have a Cruz and use it for mostly everything (grocery stores, daily walks etc). I do have a smaller travel stroller (ergobaby metro+) as well, but that one is only used for flights/trips because it can fit in the overhead cabin. Pretty much no stroller is really restaurant compatible though, we just carried my son in with the bucket seat when he was young, and now we carry him in (ever since he could sit in his own high chair).
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Go-to for Stroller system/travel system? [BC] ->I would get a travel stroller. I have the ergobaby Metro+ and it can fully recline, so it's suitable for babies that can't sit up yet.
r/NewParents • Is Uppababy stroller & car seat too much for airport? ->I have a Cruz and Metro+. For me, the deluxe features didn't justify the extra cost. I'm happy with the Metro+ and don't find myself missing anything!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller recommendations- Ergobaby metro+ vs deluxe [bc] ->I have 2 - UB Cruz v2 and Ergobaby Metro+. The Cruz is my everyday walking/grocery trip workhorse, Ergobaby is my travel stroller. I had a Mesa v2 as my infant carseat that clicked into the Cruz, my son is now in a convertible carseat.
r/NewParents • What kind of/how many strollers do people have? ->I would find something in between! There are plenty of great “city strollers” that are compact and fold up so you can store them in a small living space, but offer a bit more than a super basic travel stroller. I have the UppaBaby Vista and the Stokke YoYo, which are like two ends of the spectrum for big & compact. But you can definitely find middle ground strollers like the Ergo Baby Metro + and some Cybex models come to mind. I remember seeing a lot of compact but not ultra-small for plane travel strollers when we were researching them.
r/BabyBumps • Would a compact travel stroller be enough? Or do you really need a regular stroller? Are most moms getting multiple strollers!?! ->I have the Thule Glide 3 as my everyday stroller in MTL. My babe was born in December and the big wheels came in handy. But I find the stroller to be a bit large. To the best of my knowledge, it is a running stroller. And it does come with the possibility for the bassinet (which we bought and love) and is compatible with a car seat when you buy the correct attachment, there are 2 options so be mindful. I also have a travel stroller, ErgoBaby Metro+ because I don’t want my stroller to get damaged while travelling. I also use this one when I know I’ll be in inaccessible locations in MTL (ie, metro without an elevator) because it’s sturdy but light and compact.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Do we really need multiple strollers ? [qc] ->I have the Metro+ Deluxe, but haven't flown with it. It would definitely fit in the overhead overhead.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller that fits in overhead compartment? [AB] ->I was stalking these strollers a bunch during Boxing Week (went with the Metro+ Deluxe in the end), and the best sales I found were $100 off. So I'd be surprised if you found a better deal, except maybe for Black Friday.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON] ->I have the Metro+ not deluxe and it's truly great for travel. I \*backed over it with my car\* and it's totally fine. (2) We took it to QC City in the middle of winter with no car and it did amazing even walking on packed snow and up icy hills full of as much crap as we could physically stuff in it. Since it was only \~$300 I don't have to stress about wrecking it or gate checking it. The fold is not a big deal and I just ignore the storage basket weight capacity lol. To me it feels really light. I can fit it behind the convertible car seat in my tiny car so it also just lives in there and has been so convenient to just pull out whenever. I bought a bumper bar so I think it's basically the same as the Deluxe minus the cup holder (which I often do wish I had). I wouldn't use it for a main stroller but it's amazing for travel + car errands.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Ergobaby metro+ deluxe - best travel stroller? [on] ->I have both the new Uppababy minu v3 and the Ergobaby metro plus (not the new metro 3). I’ve always wanted an Uppababy product but couldn’t justify getting the standard vista or Cruz. There are pros and cons to both. 1) is it worth it? Honestly, it comes down to your own preferences. Both have dealbreakers and both have winning points. To me it was only worth it because I wanted to try the Uppababy brand for so long. Regardless, having a travel stroller was very worth it for us because we go out a lot. No matter what brand you pick. 2) at 3 months, baby is going to grow out of the bucket seat soon anyway. I never used car seat compatibility with travel strollers, it defeats their purpose. 3) the alternative I’d suggest is the new Ergobaby metro 3 or the older Ergobaby metro plus like I have (which would be on sale now).
r/Buyingforbaby • UB Minu V3 worth it? Is there a better alternative? ->No, jogging strollers are bulky and some babies hate strollers, so you may not want to jog with them. Most can’t be used until at least 6 months old, but even that is early. I’d recommend starting with a compact travel stroller that either holds your car seat or has a bassinet attachment. Don’t worry about a “normal” stroller for now- I know so many Moms who regret having a normal stroller and just use the travel stroller all the time because it’s so nice and light. You can always buy a regular stroller and/or jogging stroller later, but you are right to think you will need a lighter weight travel stroller. I would recommend the Uppababy Minu V3, it’s a fantastic brand (but not the V2, which isn’t for newborns). You could also look into the Yoyo or Ergobaby Metro Plus. If you don’t mind checking your stroller and risking damage, the Nina Triv is a good “in between” stroller that is lighter weight than something like the Uppababy Vista, has a bigger storage area than travel strollers, is more roomy for your child as they grow, but doesn’t fit in an overhead of an airplane.
r/Buyingforbaby • Should I buy a jogging stroller as first stroller? ->Ergobaby metro is awesome
r/BeyondTheBumpUK • Recommendations for a travel stroller for a 5 month old? ->This really depends on your lifestyle. Do you take public transit a lot, or mostly travel by car? Do you have ground-floor storage for your stroller, or will you need to carry it up stairs? Are you planning to have another child close in age (let's say, in the next 2ish years)? For my circumstances, I have found that I need two strollers - a lightweight one (Ergobaby Metro+) for public transport, travel etc. but that is also suitable from birth, and a heavier duty one (Bumbleride Era) that has a bassinet and can handle rougher terrain. Personally, I'm happy to take my baby in and out of the car seat so don't need the car seat to snap on to the stroller, but I know lots of people swear by this. This is my second baby, so I know what I'm doing a bit better than I did with my first! It mostly comes down to personal preference. I set up a spreadsheet with the factors that mattered most to me (e.g. lie-flat, size of wheels, bassinet-compatible, parent-facing) and key measurements (price, dimensions, weight) and just looked them all up online. I narrowed down a few options and went and saw them in person. Like you, I was surprised that my top choice on paper didn't work as well in real life and went with a different option. But it's so personal it's difficult to give concrete advice.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Overwhelmed - Stroller Recommendation [ON] ->Hey there. Unfortunately, there are no small inexpensive strollers that work with this car seat that will fit in an overhead. The ergobaby metro+ is a great little compact stroller that will work with your car seat, and it’s one of the least expensive options. And it will fit in the overhead. - CPST and baby gear nerd lol
r/Buyingforbaby • Cheap lightweight caddy for Nuna Pipa RX ->Can’t comment on the price but just chiming in that it’s an AMAZING travel stroller. So many people opt for cheap umbrella strollers that have the two independent handles but those are sooo difficult to push with a single hand, and more than likely you’ll be pulling a suitcase with one hand. We have two metros for our two kids and it’s super easy to push and steer both strollers at once, side by side. Gives a lot of flexibility to bring these two single strollers as opposed to our big double stroller when travelling, in case another child is on your horizon.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON] ->omg get this. in the last 18 months i have been on 15 flights and accompanying trips with this stroller. i am writing this from europe where it has been basically offroading and doing cobblestone streets daily. it is a beast. we literally strapped our kid's carseat to the back of it with bungee cords to avoid carrying the carseat around the airport. we have TESTED this thing - and it's amazing. you will NOT regret it! i have an uppababy vista v2 that lives in my garage for neighbourhood walks, but this one folds up so easily and so small and so it lives in my suv trunk for the mall, zoo, museums, library etc etc etc. i use it CONSTANTLY. my kiddo loves it, it's super comfy and has a big canopy and a deep pocket on the back of the seat perfect for a few diapers, wipes and his water bottle.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON] ->+1 for Ergobaby Metro+. I did a bunch of research and found it to be the best balance of features to price. You can easily spend 2x on a travel stroller but Ergobaby offers a great value proposition. Only two minor downsides: 1. The sun shade is perched up quite a bit higher than the seat, so even when fully extended there is a considerable room for sunlight to hit the kid 2. Even in the most upright position, the back is slightly reclined. Now that our kiddo is almost 2, he seems to want to be more upright.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Recommendations [ON] ->It’s really difficult to get a stroller to fit all your wants. A lightweight travel stroller is not really suitable to go for long walks in. I know two that are newborn ready without car seat or attachments: Uppababy Minu3 and ergo baby metro. For s middle of the road stroller there’s joie ginger. The seat itself can be a bassinet for your little so perfect for newborns and you won’t need extras. My own personal favorite is Bumbleride era. Newborn ready, all terrain capeable. If your budget allows I’d have a travel stroller for travel and in the car for errands and then a proper full size for walks and outings
r/Buyingforbaby • Stroller help ->Baby jogger jogging stroller - bought the bassinet attachment and the converter to put the car seat on top. This is my everyday. I’ve used it on hiking paths and around town. Ergobaby travel stroller which can be used from newborn to 40lbs?? I can’t remember. This one I use when we go to the next town over for mall trips cause it’s super compact and fits in the car really easily. I’ve also flown with it and it can fit into the upper compartment but I just let them put it under the plane at the gate.
r/NewParents • What kind of/how many strollers do people have? ->We have an ergobaby metro+ and love it. If they made the deluxe (bigger basket) when I bought the stroller I would have bought that
r/BabyBumps • Best Stroller for Quick Trips and Tight Spaces? ->That’s a good price, I don’t recall it going lower on Boxing Day. I like it! Sturdy but also pretty light and compact. One hand opening takes practice but it’s doable. I love the full recline for naps on the go, the canopy is excellent and we had an insert for winter that has served us well. The only minor con is that the baby can only face outwards which took some getting used to when she was very little.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON] ->I like our ergobaby metro. We check it right at the door of the plane rather than take it on board (one less thing to manage) but theoretically it can go overhead on a big plane. It’s stable, lies flat for naps on the go, has a great sun shade. It’s not the lightest option available but we use it a lot on transit as well and wanted something sturdy. I (a not particularly strong woman) can carry the stroller with baby in it up and down a few stairs if needed.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Recommendations [ON] ->Yep got ours for $220 secondhand in great condition.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller [on] ->We currently have two. We started with a travel system (Evenflo pivot, ~$300) and that worked for us for about the first year. The bucket seat clips into it, and it also has a stroller/bassinet seat. Our kid is tall for his age, and when he was around a year old, his feet started to touch the bottom edge, so we knew it was only a matter of time before he outgrew it. We wanted something compact, so we got the Ergo city metro+ (I think that’s what it’s called). We like how small it folds up and how lightweight it is, but the biggest issues are the basket size (pretty small) and it’s a bit awkward to unfold.
r/NewParents • What kind of/how many strollers do people have? ->This brand isn’t talked about a lot, but we have the [ErgoBaby Metro+](https://ergobaby.com/strollers/metro-stroller/the-metro-plus-stroller). I searched high and low for a compact stroller that would be comfortable for my 6’2” husband. It has adjustable handles, so it’s more comfortable for him than our previous stroller (EvenFlo pivot travel system). It retails for $300, but we got it on sale on Black Friday for $200. Generally speaking, we like it for an everyday keep-in-the-car stroller, but when we go on day trips or vacations, we take our bigger stroller. Pros and cons are listed below, and while it looks like there are more cons, I do like it and generally recommend it if you’ve got a big kid and parent. Pros: Super compact (can fit behind the front car seats even when my husband is driving). Very lightweight. One-handed steering. One-handed fold. Adjustable handle. Adjustable foot rest. Reclines. Large shade. Five point harness generally separates into 3 pieces (two “v”s for arms/belly that connect to the crotch button) but can fully pull apart into five separate straps for easier adjusting/looping toys around the strap. Lots of headroom for my tall toddler, so he’ll be in it for a while. Cons: Basket is fairly small, so we tend to keep our diaper bag clipped to the handle, and since the stroller is so lightweight, it will tip over if we take our kid out when the backpack is still there. It’s a little finicky to open. It doesn’t come with a snack tray. The window (to see them when the hood is up) flap has a magnet to keep it closed but not one to keep it open (seems counterintuitive since gravity would keep it closed anyways). The window is small and only functional if the hood is all the way extended, and the hood is quite large, so my son doesn’t like it fully extended (since it obstructs his view). While the handle is adjustable, it’s not significantly adjustable, and someone much taller than 6’2” might still find it uncomfortable. Hope this helps, and good luck! I hated searching for a stroller, so I know how annoying it can be trying to find one.
r/bigbabiesandkids • Best compact travel stroller for big baby? ->We have the Ergobaby Metro+ , SIL has the Joolz Aer. I tried both and I liked both. If you’re only using it here and there, I’d go for the Ergobaby. If you will travel a lot, maybe the Joolz would work better as the build was a tiny bit better compared to the Ergobaby. The Yoyo felt way too small as there was barely any room in the basket under.
r/NewParents • Travel stroller recommendations ->I’ve flown with ergobaby metro + and it fit overhead! I don’t remember if it was westjet or aircanada though. The last few times we gate checked it to be less of a hassle but I’ve definitely brought it on the plane once and no issues!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel stroller that fits in overhead compartment? [AB] ->Also have the ergobaby metro and love it!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Help me pick a travel stroller! [ca] ->Puerto Plata - if you’re going into Taino Bay, it’s a great big facility. Multiple pools, a lazy river, various seating areas and some shops. I would plan to leave the ship in the morning then maybe go back again in the afternoon. You could get in a cab for a beach (say Dorado) but we found the waves to be big and it’s a 30ish mins cab each way. I personally would just do the port. St Thomas - Port is in a town. we walked to a coffee shop and brewery and just wandered. Lots of the typical touristy stores. There are wagon style trucks that go to the popular beaches or vans that do smaller, less popular. Depending on your comfort level without car seats, you could easily visit a beach in this one. I think you could install a car seat in one of the vans if needed. San Juan - just go walk with a stroller. Beaches close by aren’t worth it and the old town is so beautiful! Lots of restaurants, history and shops! St Kitts - again, you could do a beach in this one easily if you wanted to as there’s great options close by. The Marriot also sells day passes if that’s easiest. A lot of the excursions are on boats which I would avoid personally. We did a steel drum boat trip which you could easily do with a baby as it was a big spacious barge type boat but the length (5-6 hours) may feel too long. People love recommending umbrella strollers but they’re not overly practical. Get a travel stroller that lays flat with a canopy. Ergobaby Metro as an example. We travel with a “cheaper” car seats (Cosco Scenera Next). Easy to install and great for rear facing up to like 2/2.5 years.
r/NCL • 10 Day in the Caribbean with infant ->Another vote for the metro. Goes completely flat, is rated “from birth” and folds up very small. The deluxe version was worth it to me for the bigger basket. We got it for the baby but our tall 4 year old can actually still fit.
r/bigbabiesandkids • Lie flat infant stroller recommendations? Ideally travel size. ->Hi all! Best Buy currently has the Metro+ on sale for $299 from $399. Just wondering if it ever goes lower than this price (Black Friday/Boxing Day)? Also, for those of you who have this stroller, please share any *cons! Thank you 😊 *Edit: Thank you for all the replies! I signed up on the Ergobaby website for the 15% off code and got the stroller in grey! Paid $306 with tax! Yay, can’t wait to get it!!! *Edit 2: Just got the stroller the other day and used it for the first time today! Absolutely love it!! So far seems like it really is a solid travel/compact stroller 👍🏻
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller Price: Ergobaby Metro+ [ON] ->We just came back from Disney with this stroller and it was amazing. Worth the money for sure.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Travel Stroller and Travel Crib [ON] ->I’m really happy with our Ergobaby metro+! We haven’t taken it on any flights yet but chose it because it folds to fit in overhead bins, and it checks all your other criteria.
r/NewParents • Best travel stroller for everyday? ->Same. When they're too little to sit in the cart in their own, you have to carry them or keep them in a seat. At least with the click in stroller, it's one less transfer of baby. I can't tell you how many times he's falling asleep while shopping, so it's nice to be able to just lift him back into the car. Mine (ergo baby) came with another seat he can use when older, which will make the stroller a bit later to deal with when I don't have to have the car seat with it too.
r/NewParents • Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
