Redsbaby skip! They’ve just released a new model and if it was in the budget I would upgrade from the skip2 to the skip3 in a heartbeat! Compact, light, fits overhead (have flown with it many times with virgin and never been denied). Lays flat for infants too.

We have the redsbaby skip and we love it! It folds up so small and is really easy to manage. My daughter is almost 3 and 90ish cm/ 13kg and she still fits it perfectly. Would 100% recommend

Just bought the Redsbaby skip! Can't wait to use it. Felt sturdier than the buggagoo and joelaer.

I rate the Skip! I used it recently with my little one who was 4 months old at the time, absolutely no complaints. I love how compact it folds up, had no issues taking it as carry-on, and bub had a number of solid naps in there which made it all worth it!

Big fan of the Redsbaby Skip2 over here! Used it for the first time with my 4 month old last week and it was perfect! Only annoying thing is that the pram itself is under 7kg but when in the bag it’s slightly over. Luckily Jetstar didn’t care as long as mine and my husband’s carryon luggage total didn’t exceed 14kg all together.

We got the skip 3 recently and am loving it so far. Had the yoyo 2 previously that I got second hand off fb marketplace and so many little things annoyed me so I wanted to replace it. Also liked the Joolz aer bt the price was a bit steep and skip was just a bit cheaper. Bugaboo looks good too (sister has it) but it didn’t have a bassinet option that I wanted in case for bubs coming in November.

We got a single to double (Cybex gazelle) and like it as a single. Our second is due in November so yet to know what it’s like as a double. But honestly if I was to do it all over again, I would get a travel pram that comes with a bassinet option (Redsbaby Skip 3, Yoyo or Joolz Aer+) and then use that as the primary pram. It’s small compact, you won’t need to buy another thing if you travel and it’s so easy to put in and out of car etc. If you then become pregnant with a second and realise you’ll benefit from a double pram- then get the big double pram. The reality is you never know when you might fall pregnant with a second. And so you don’t know what the age gap might be. You might even be able to just use a single pram + toddler board if it’s a large enough age gap. For reference, we got the skip 3 and it’s great. We had the yoyo - don’t love it. The Joolz aer looks really good and I sort of wish I got that when i was picking between Joolz and yoyo. But skip 3 is new and more reasonable price than Joolz.

I just did a 4-week holiday around Malaysia, London and Spain with the redsbaby skip pram and I could not recommend it more. We borrowed my friends redbabys skip when we went to Sydney when my son was 7 months old and loved it, and so bought our own for this trip, which my son was 14 months old for, and the pram was everything we needed it to be. It's got the largest sunshade of any travel pram on the market and it reclines really flat. My son had 2-hour naps in it on the go and he was always really comfortable in it. It is super light, my husband carried it up thousands of tube stairs and train station stairs with my son both in it and out of it without much problem -- would highly highly recommend.

May or may not be helpful but we have opted for the Baby Jogger City Tour for our trip next month but our LO will be closer to 8 months then. The regular seat lays near flat but they also do a bassinet attachment for smaller bubs. We have friends who bought the Skip2 (we looked at it too as we have a Redsbaby for our regular pram but couldn't justify the price) and took it to NZ and had zero issues through the airports/planes. I think your regular cabin crew / gate crew aren't going to be too pressed about a pram as long as you have a carry bag for it so it can be easily stowed. Most if not all travel prams are slightly outside the dimensions for carry on with most airlines but if it's under the 7kg weight limit you should be fine. ETA: it can be worth looking at Marketplace for a tidy 2nd hand one before opting for brand new. That's what we did and you'd never know it's been used before!

Hey, glad to find you asked the question - we have been tossing up between butterfly and skip3 also. We have ordered the skip 3 after demo day but not 100% sure it will arrive before our trip - we are considering butterfly on lay-by as a backup. Worth skip 3 if you have time as can do 30 day indoor trial and return if you don't like it. The skip 3 edged on the butterfly bc 1. better sunshade protection (I think one of the Australian designed aspects that is important) 2. cheaper 3. lie flat seat 4. sub 7kg - can take on plane. We paid extra around $30 for bumper bar and $25 for express shipping (10$ more than standard) and got free rain cover and sunshade extension. Butterfly - slightly easier 1 handed fold down - but both equally easy to pull up. Also slightly better manoeuvrability and quality of fabric. We did note the one in store had quite pulled fabric as you mentioned but I assumed it had been used and tested A LOT. Butterfly also has a slightly wider seat (don't think necessarily than much longer although unable to do side by side comparison). Sadly the memo used to stock both pram brands but no longer do reds baby. I think reds baby keep their prices lower by not succumbing to price gouging by the likes of baby bunting etc just MHO. Have found deals to get Butterly at similar price to reds baby and if it wasn't for the weight butterfly might win. Had a quick look at other well rated ones - Joolz has a short seat and no foot rest and small basket and city jogger doesn't have as good suspension so probably fine in airport but not on bumpy European streets for example. Yoyo also quite a bumpy experience have heard.

I’ve done international travel with the Skip2 and it was easy to use. The Skip3 has a bigger basket and better fold function and I’m considering upgrading for the next overseas trip but that’ll likely be the last time I need it, so I probably won’t.

We just did 3 weeks in the UK with the skip2. In cities that were definitely not pram friendly (soooo many stairs), the pram held up so well. Very light even with bub in it so we could carry him up and down stairs easily. It does take a few steps to fold up but it's compact and once you get the hang of it it's quite easy. The pram also held up really well on all the cobblestone paths so it's very durable. I loved that bub can practically lay flat in it which was perfect for pram naps out and about. And the hood folds down so low which was great for wind protection.

I've got one. It's a good little, lightweight pram that I've had for about a year and it's our only pram. I got it over other ones because it's for newborn up which means the seat can go relatively flat but also relatively straight upright. It's also meant to be good for taller children. My 90th percentile 13 month old is very happy in it. Plus the price point worked well for us and I knew my baby would outgrow a pram bassinet quickly being 90th percentile (we got it when he was 4 weeks old). Some cons though - not one handed fold/unfold like others. You have to pull this awkwardly placed red lever to unfold it fully. And to fold it you need to pull both left and right sides of the handlebars. - pram basket is quite small, hard to fit a nappy bag in but we use a caddy so it's fine. - no window to look through the hood so I have to pull it back to see what bub is doing - handle bars aren't height adjustable but to be fair, I dont think most travel prams can. And it is on the taller side compared to other travel prams. - accessories can sometimes be out of stock for months. I bought my pram in Feb but had to wait until May to get the foot muff and rain cover. - seat is a pain to adjust as it uses a toggle that you have to pull. But again, I think a lot of prams use a similar system.

We’re planning on getting the skip3 (as our everyday stroller). It has a bassinet if you choose to purchase it, which is great for the bub before they’re able to sit up and etc.

I had a redsbaby pram that was able to be converted into a double but it was so heavy to me (even though it was lighter than the vista) and clunky. I ended up selling it on marketplace and buying a redsbaby skip2 which is their travel pram and haven’t looked back. If I had to do it again, I’d go straight to the skip. Even if I had another baby soon (my first is 17 months) I wouldn’t upgrade to a double pram, they’re so big and clunky to haul around

We have the Redsbaby Skip2 and have used it from 6 months (bub now almost 2). We have taken it overseas and on domestic Virgin Australia, Jetstar and QANTAS flights without issue. We like the UV shade, it’s easy to clean, does a full recline. Possible cons? Redsbaby doesn’t have a belly bar and the storage basket is a little small (it’s a travel pram so a given but it is smaller than some of its competitors). We still squash our nappy bag in there okay and add another Velcro storage sack to the back if we need more storage. Another option to look at (it came out after we needed a travel pram) is the Milly and Coup Pixi. They have been to only parent facing newborn travel pram I have seen. But it also converts to world facing. https://millyandcoup.com/products/pixi-travel-stroller?variant=39956306722865&country=AU¤cy=AUD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA0MG5BhD1ARIsAEcZtwRYmS-hLgzST8S2M7KcBBMxaII60WRyCQJ_ExN1qZliG-1lMWx4kscaAnjwEALw_wcB

I have the Skip2 and will look to upgrade to the Skip3 later in the year. I will preface that we do a lot of air travel so the weight of the pram is important to us. I can see, for example, that the Skip3 is a full 500g lighter than the Butterfly - that would be a big plus for us. It’s already hard enough to keep within the free carryon weight limits! I’ve had no issues with the quality of the pram. The fabric washes well and spot cleans easily (we have the green). The frame build has been fine - I’ve never been concerned about that if I’m honest. It handles well over footpaths and uneven ground (though it wouldn’t do well on gravel/grass/off road surfaces). It maneuvers very well in comparison to our standard sized pram (we can weave in and out of crowds). We use it for day trips into the city, zoo, weekends away and I’ve been really happy! Our bub is average height but he still sleeps well in it. If the footrest isn’t down then his legs do hang over the edge when sitting fully upright but that doesn’t bother me given we don’t keep his feet raised. Not sure how helpful that is but we love it enough to keep it and upgrade!

Redsbaby skip 2, recently took it away on Qantas - super easy to use and folded nicely (needs to go in a bag, but it comes with). Decent price and good resale as the second hand page is always looking for them and they go for about $100 or so less.

We have a skip 2- absolutely love it and rather use it than my big bulky pram. Taken it on four flights and it fits really well overhead. I see the new one is a one hand fold which is great. I find the recline on it much better than my normal pram as it lies flat, unlike normal pram that is a bucket type seat. Resale wise, everyone on the buy swap sell pages are always after a skip and hold their value pretty well.

We have travelled Qantas with the Skip and had no problems. The only airline it wouldn’t fit overhead was a small regional airline (only 30 seats on the plane). They took it upfront for us. Just make sure that when you go to board it is folded and in the carry bag so that you’re not slowing anything down and giving them reason to give you a hard time. If you did have a problem (which I’m sure you won’t), just say that it’s a travel pram designed for carry on and you called in advance to double check.

Skip is great, especially with the near full recline. We started using with our bub at 4 months. It now lives in the car and is so useful for appointments/shopping etc. Very easy to use one handed, and depending on where you live, is great that it’s been designed with Australian climate in mind (UPF50 mesh that allows airflow etc)

I just came back from a week in Singapore with the skip 3. It fit easily in the overhead bins with Qantas on the 787. The A380 that Emirates use is a very large plane with large overhead bins so you can be confident that the skip 3 will fit. Ask me any questions you'd like about the pram. My only real issue with the pram is that you have to modify your posture / stance a bit with the pram to avoid striding into the rear axle. However I found this to be an issue with most of the travel prams I tested in store - so might just be a travel pram thing. Some travel prams cleverly offset the rear "axle" so that there is a bit more room for your feet to swing forward. The minu v3 does this well but it's a bit more expensive for sure. Overall I got used to the skip3 and really enjoyed the pram on our trip. I'm using it again soon for a couple more weeks overseas.

Skip2 owner here and love it! I was tossing up between that, the Aer and Butterfly, but neither of those recline as much as the Skip. I’m not sure about the Yoyo, but that was a bit outside of my budget at the time. Our LO was 5 months when we needed it, so having something that could lie as flat as possible was my preference. Sadly it’s only the overseas model of the Aer that lies flat :( Highly recommend.

Not the butterfly but just thought I’d chime in about another travel stroller since it can be so tricky to find information online. The Redsbaby Skip2 says on its website that it can be carried on. We have successfully taken it on both domestic Jetstar and Virgin flights (in its bag). It is technically alittle too big to meet the carry on requirements but we just had it in the bag and we were let on with it (although with the first flight with Virgin the very lovely lady at the gate said she wasn’t sure if it would fit overhead but to give it a try and if it didn’t to hand it to a staff member on board). It fits easily overhead despite being slightly too large for the airline requirements.

We have the skip2. It has a really good hood, reclines really far back and has a weight rating (20kg for the seat). We use it when we travel and sometimes I do wish it was alittle less bulky when folded up but in terms of actual use I think the trade off is worth it. I know people who have the travel strollers which fold down really small but there is not enough shade and they normally top out at 15kg which would put my three year old as too heavy already.

We have a Redsbaby Skip and love it. It lives in my car, and is very easy to flick open when I'm out at the shops. I've also taken it on Qantas domestically and it fits in the overhead compartment on the plane. It also feels pretty sturdy too- I tested out the Baby Jogger but it felt kind of flimsy.
