I've been using the GIGABYTE - G34WQCP - 34" VA 3440x1440 curved monitor for several years and like it. I'm a software engineer. So I'm primarily reading text and occasionally watching videos. I will say, it sometimes is straining on the eye because the text is a little blurry. Not bad. Just not perfect or as good as a MacBook monitor. But it's worth the tradeoff of having lots of screen real estate (which I use for my many open windows). I'm waiting on upgrading to a 34, 38, or 40in ultrawide curved 5k/4k monitor whenever those become reasonably priced.

The curve is necessary for immersion, and VA panels are the only affordable option. But VA panels are getting better. Modern high refresh rate VA panels are actually not too bad. I had a Gigabyte 34in ultra wide curved monitor, and the colors were almost as accurate as the LG panel that I used before that. But with the affordability of OLED panels getting cheaper and cheaper in the 34-in ultrawide department, it's either go that or go home now.
