I have a Xiaomi mi monitor ultrawide 34 and it's excellent for the price for info!
Avoid Xiaomi. I have the older 34" and I had to manually lower the Hue to achieve a somewhat accurate image. Besides, it's slow, and newer models have their own drawbacks. VA is awesome, but even deeper blacks would be better. I use curved 27" VA right now, and curved panels are less deep than flat (tfw when flat is better 🥵). Actually, curve worth it, I always missed it after switch to an ultrawide IPS (it died within a month btw). In games like CS, or any other competitive games we have some kind of a tunnel vision, so we won't pay attention at corners of 21:9 while adrenaline pumps. It does look nicer, its more immersive, perfect for movies, but 21:9 is still ahead of its time and lacks of vertical FOV. FPS drop in comparison to QHD is noticeable. In comparison to FHD its huge, you'll need a GPU with at least 12Gb of VRAM and capable of 100+ FPS in 3440:1440 in somewhat modern games. tl;dr no, get the QHD 16:9
I have an older Xiaomi Ultrawide that does 144 hz. It has transformed my gaming, the ultrawide format just is better in every way. I'm not looking for a replacement, but if I was I would be looking at a Mini LED monitor in Ultra wide.
I use the xiaomi 34" ultrawide for simracing and i love it, i have it installed pretty close, between the steering wheel and the wheel base. I would like to upgrade to a 49" 32:9 if i had the space and GPU power https://preview.redd.it/28bpd4rghijf1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa3643bdf4d6c60637884c5b977fdf1036886abc .
Yes, i have been using it for almost 2 years now, no trouble at all. I just noticed that the xiaomi monitor you are looking for is actually the newer version, mine is the 144hz version so the one you are looking for should be a bit better.
I am interested in this model as well, but... I am not sure that it is a reasonable price as I bought Xiaomi's 34 inch ultrawide (VA, 144Hz) several years ago for a third of that. I do need a new monitor, and I intend to work (a lot) using it so OLED is out of the question. I'm an architect and my main software doesn't have dark mode, and it has A LOT of static elements. A tough spot.
I bought mine last 2020. Had a panel issue(there was a vertical column around 1 inch think, still working but that column has dimmer color) after 1 year and 8 months. I had the panel replaced but still payed 12k pesos. The new panel lasted more than 3 years, it now has a horizontal line around 1px thick, thats why im looking now for a new monitor and this titan army monitor might be worth the gamble
I had the Xaomi Mi, which had a Kogan Rebadge, good monitor.
I had a cheap $500 Ultrawide from Xiaomi; it lasted me 4 years, a good samsung panel. I now have a $450 Dell 3423DWC, as a secondary Monitor. It's great for what it is. I use it for UNI and browsing. To see if it's a form factor you want to invest in, check Facebook's used market for old models. The Ultrawide is an adjustment, and it's got its drawbacks. e.g. lots of games don't support the resolutions, which means black bars on the tops and sides, more expensive, as ultrawides are essentially 2 monitors spliced together.
It depends on your budget. Also, have you ever used a VA panel before? From my experience, I previously owned a 27-inch IPS monitor, then I bought the Xiaomi 34" which uses a VA panel. Honestly, I didn’t like it at all the colors and viewing angles just felt off to me. I ended up selling it and getting the MSI MAG401QR instead. The price difference was quite big (around $310 → $460), but it was worth it. The MAG401QR uses an IPS panel, not VA, and the improvement was noticeable. However, I did hear good reviews about the AOC model you mentioned (the one in the picture). If you go for it, I recommend getting the 240Hz version.
I used it for a couple of months, it's decent for it's price, but how VA handles blacks was very irritating for me, now using Phillips 34M2C8600 OLED and happy
its enough, but try to find redmi/xiaomi 34 inch, its good for its price but dont expect any high end features, it support freesync through dp 1.4
