I bought a bissell xr300 cordless for $78 on eBay one box but it was new. It’s an okay vacuum but for $78 it’s a steal. Battery is 2ah so it only lasts for about 15-20 minute on medium and about 5 minutes on high. Good part is these vacuums use standard power tool batteries so you can replace with those. I bought an aftermarket battery that’s 24v 4ah and it works great for it essentially doubling the runtime. Whatever you do don’t buy a Dyson, they’re overpriced marketing gimmicks.
The Bissell cleanview is probably the best cordless option at that price range. its under $250, good on hardwood and carpet, and the pet tool + anti-tangle brush is helpful for pet hair. You can find some good options [in this thread](https://www.reddit.com/user/Working-Hawk-1982/comments/1neh4hg/the_best_cordless_stick_vacuums/)
Thisssss^^^ We have this vacuum too and I keep it in the basement (epoxied concrete) because that’s the only place where it appropriately sucks. I ended up buying a Bissell cordless stick vacuum at 50% off at Canadian Tire to manage the rest of the house.
Nope. Had one of the ball ones over a decade ago and ended up replacing it with a Bissell when we moved and the cord wasn’t long enough. $30 Bissell canister did a better job. I’ve since added a Bissell upright pet and a Bissell cordless stick to replace my broom.
I actually love my bissel stick pet version from Costco
I recommend finding a style you like with features you like- pet hair removal, self cleaning brush roller etc. and reading reviews from different sellers of that make and model. I’ve seen enough negative reviews of kenmore vacuums that I would not buy one. I have a bissel clear view pet hair removal one I got five or so years ago and I really like it. It’s bagless and I clean out the canister and filter pretty often. I’d like my next one to have a hepa filter but honestly I’m so glad I don’t pay to replace bags. They are expensive and my vacuum fills up really fast because of the amount of cat hair. But you can get something even nicer for the price you can pay. I’d also check non sponsored you tube reviews.
I use my cordless bissel pet vacuum daily. I charge the batteries every 2 days and I have a 1400sqft house
If at any moment money is a concern you can get a good Bissell vacuum at walmart for like 150 bucks. Something like a powerforce helix, cleanview, or anything in that style. I remember I bought one in 2013 and it was amazing for the buck. However not sure how is a powerforce helix now a days. I had a cleanview a couple months ago and it worked quite awesome but ate a ziptie and lost suction. However, great vacuum still should last you around five years. If your apartment is in Miami I'd choose dyson animal since they are in fact powerful. However they are at the 400-650 dollar price range. I have a Dyson DC24 used (old) which I recently got and its awesome. Dosen't pick much as a heavier vacuum but the ball technology is awesome and its fun to use so I can imagine how the new ones would be. I'd stay away from cordless vacuums. They are weird and when you use one it feels weird and it feels like its gonna die for some reason and are not as powerful. The heavier the better I feel tho.
