I've got 3 cats and long hair, the Bissell 2252 cleanview's been keeping up. Amazon has a returned green vac for $91

We typically use Bissell pet branded vacuums! Nothing super "official" type, very consumer grade, but our maintenance dept tends to get most of those kinds of supplies for us from our local Lowe's anyhow! I love those big ole types of vacuums though, my grandfather has one and fixed a belt on it, turned it into a self driving BEAST 🤣

my husband got me some type of bissell pet hair upright (corded). I looooove it. I’m not home to see the exact model. do you have a Costco membership? they have great deals on vacuums & if one craps out on you super fast, you can return it & get a new one! what type of vacuums did you have the issues with? stick vacs are ok for light cleanup between vacuums with a corded vac, but a stick will never be able to keep up with cat hair or dander. I’m always shocked when I vacuum either my expensive Dyson stick vac & then go back over the carpet with my corded bissell.

I use a Eufy G30 verge (robovac) for everyday and the [Bissell 2252 Cleanview](https://a.co/d/33IQLr1) for a real clean.

Dysons are convenient without a cord, but they do not run an extended amount of time. To get adequate power, my Dyson has a run time of 8 minutes. Corded vacuums are always more powerful and can run for a much longer duration. I swear by my Bissell Pet corded vacuums. They outshine my Dysons every single time.

Bissell 2252 CleanView Swivel is what I use. There are several layers of filters and you don't need bags. I got it during a sale for a little less than $100usd and it's great. I have friends with allergies and this vacuum seems to pick up enough dander to allow them to come over for dinner and games without sneezing

the Miele Classic C1 is probably the best if you want top-tier cleaning power with a super durable build. Handles hardwood like a dream and has adjustable suction for rugs. If you need something cheaper but still solid, the Bissell CleanView Swivel Pet is a great option too. I was tired of vacuums that either scratched my floors or didn’t clean my rugs properly, but [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Calidad_Precio/comments/1jcnyw1/best_vacuums_for_vinyl_floors_in_2025_gentle_and/) helped me find the right one. Definitely worth a read!

If at any moment money is a concern you can get a good Bissell vacuum at walmart for like 150 bucks. Something like a powerforce helix, cleanview, or anything in that style. I remember I bought one in 2013 and it was amazing for the buck. However not sure how is a powerforce helix now a days. I had a cleanview a couple months ago and it worked quite awesome but ate a ziptie and lost suction. However, great vacuum still should last you around five years. If your apartment is in Miami I'd choose dyson animal since they are in fact powerful. However they are at the 400-650 dollar price range. I have a Dyson DC24 used (old) which I recently got and its awesome. Dosen't pick much as a heavier vacuum but the ball technology is awesome and its fun to use so I can imagine how the new ones would be. I'd stay away from cordless vacuums. They are weird and when you use one it feels weird and it feels like its gonna die for some reason and are not as powerful. The heavier the better I feel tho.

There also is this [Bissell](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F6N3RT6?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1), and I've never had it clog either. But it doesn't do as good of a job of actually picking up all of the fur. I always feel like I'm leaving just a "little bit" when this was used. Right now it sits unused my closet. It's much more budget friendly. But the Miele does come with a lifetime warranty, and is built for it. You still have to vacuum often though.

We have a bissell, it’s 4 years old, and still going strong. We started with 1 corgi mix, now have the mix, two corgis, a lab mix, and two cats and she’s still trucking. We do have to empty it every room, but that’s just bc we have so many animals lol, when we just had one it wasn’t as bad. https://a.co/d/b6wqaQk
