I have a: Bissell Pethaireraser lithium-ion. Model 2390A. It comes with an extension tube & a powered broom. You can use either one or none.

Quick question before recommending. How small are we talking? If you want something truly compact that you can grab with one hand, carry room to room effortlessly, and store in a closet without thinking about it, the [Bissell Pet Hair Eraser handheld](http://redango-delta.vercel.app/g/J6PZ4N9K) is perfect for that. Super lightweight, designed for pet hair, easy to dump. The tradeoff is you're bending down to do baseboards and corners since it's handheld only. If you're fine with a full stick vac that's still lightweight and cordless, both the [Bissell Allergen Lift-Off](http://redango-delta.vercel.app/g/XQ7M2A8F) and the [Bissell PowerClean](http://redango-delta.vercel.app/g/N9D4KZP1) are competitive options in your budget. They both offer tangle-free brush rolls, good suction for pet hair, crevice tools for corners, and 40-ish min runtime. Either would handle a lab's shedding without breaking a sweat. So really comes down to: pure grab-and-go convenience vs. a proper floor vacuum experience.

I have a Shark Pet Pro Stick that plugs in, and it's really great on my hardwood floors and area rugs. I can't speak to super longevity yet, I've had it since 2023 with no issues. I used to have a Riccar, which is one of the good (but not quite Miele expensive) brands, and it was incredible- but it was also really heavy, and cumbersome. For me, regardless of how "good" the appliance is, the best one is the one I actually use. This and the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser handheld are my super duo. I have a short-haired dog who sheds like crazy and a maine coon. The tumblefuzz happens quickly if I skip a cleaning day.

We’ve had the bissell pet hair eraser plug-in standing vacuum for three ish years; it’s been fabulous. However, I’ve found when I have less energy it’s hard to pull out the vacuum and lug it around. Instead, my current routine has been to run around with the bissell pet hair eraser cordless hand vacuum and pick up the hair dust balls, and follow up with the swiffer sweeper pet dry cloths. I do that every other night and I’ve noticed significantly less hair on my clothing and couch.

I’d say the battery has been great. We’re in a two bedroom apartment just about 1,000 square feet. I get about two or three good runs, probably more since we got it in the fall and the battery is still new, before it needs a charge. I still use the full size for our area rugs and catch a lot missed by the hand vacuum, but for nightly “maintenance” and a couch comb over it makes a huge difference

A good budget option that actually works well is the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser, usually around $90 on Amazon. But just to be clear… It’s a handheld, not a full floor vacuum. Its good for • quick litter cleanups around the box • stairs • couches • cat trees • car seats • spot cleaning hardwood corners It has strong suction for the size and the rubber nozzle is great for pet hair. For quick daily litter scatter, it’s honestly awesome!! If your main problem is “I don’t want to drag out the big vacuum for a teaspoon of litter every day”… then yes, it’s worth it. If you’re replacing your main vacuum entirely, I’d spend a little more on a full cordless stick model instead. So for $90 as a litter sidekick? Good buy. The Hoover is a great option too! honestly same situation here, two cats and stairs are a nightmare combo. the bissell pet hair eraser handheld is what finally worked for me after going through like three others that just tangled up and died. the rubber nozzle attachment is what makes the difference on furniture, it actually grabs the hair instead of scattering it. not the cheapest option but its held up way longer than anything else i tried so it evens out eventually.

It’s the bissell pet hair eraser. The battery isn’t the only down side it doesn’t last a super long time but if you charge it between uses it’s good.

Bissell Pet Hair Remover handheld vacuum works really well. Best I’ve found. I’ve had it since 2024 and we have three cats. I primarily use it on our upholstered furniture. A tad pricey but worth it.
