I use a Bissell Powerforce TurboPet strictly for our garage, its chunky but its a beast, for the cement floor i use it on the carpet setting first to get bigger rocks/leaves. Then do a second run on the bare floor setting works perfectly 👌
r/AskACanadian • Canadians, I need a vacuum recommendation. 😋 ->I got this guy from walmart [BISSELL PowerForce Helix Turbo Pet Upright Vacuum Cleaner with Advanced Technology, Model 3332 - Walmart.com](https://www.walmart.com/ip/BISSELL-PowerForce-Helix-Turbo-Pet-Upright-Vacuum-3332/1969315274)... I think I paid about a hundred for it maybe 5 years ago, but it's gone down in price. Works great at picking up dog hair. The only downside is that the brush always runs, even when using an attachment... so it just sits in one spot with the brush going to town while you're cleaning the stairs or whatever. Other than that it's been great for me. I haven't used a Kirby since the 90s so I can't compare it, but if you're not Kirby rich then this is a great / cheap solution.
r/greatpyrenees • Please help me with a quality (dog hair) vacuum recommendation ->I have a Bissell "power Force helix turbo" model right now. We have 3 dogs, it keeps up with the dog hair well. It's easy to use, not heavy, easy to empty the canister. You can order directly from the company and save. Cost was a factor, I wanted something that would work well but not too expensive.
r/internetparents • Internet Mom/Dad, what're the BEST vacuums overall? ->I have the Bissell. Absolutely love it. I have 4 cats and 3 dogs and this vac takes easy care of the carpets and floors. The amount of dust it pulls up is insane! My only advice is keep the receipt! I brought one 5 years ago and have had a new one every year due to some kind of fault (various reasons) I keep getting a new one based on the rolling warranty. Still the best option. I also brought one for my other and my kids all got one when they moved into their own places.
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->Also have the bissell and it’s fantastic. Better than my more expensive older vac it replaced!
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->I would go for a bigger heavy vacuum like a Bissell power force helix with that budget. Usually heavy vacuums are my go to since they are powerful and you have kids. The one I bought was in 2013 however and at that time it was so good. Not sure of the new Bissells since I havent bought them. However i had a cleanview cord rewind a couple months ago and peformed well. Again it's a vacuum that is found at walmart so it's cheap but works very well for its price. However there might be better options I'm not aware of.
r/VacuumCleaners • Can you guys suggest an inexpensive vacuum that cleans good?! ->If at any moment money is a concern you can get a good Bissell vacuum at walmart for like 150 bucks. Something like a powerforce helix, cleanview, or anything in that style. I remember I bought one in 2013 and it was amazing for the buck. However not sure how is a powerforce helix now a days. I had a cleanview a couple months ago and it worked quite awesome but ate a ziptie and lost suction. However, great vacuum still should last you around five years. If your apartment is in Miami I'd choose dyson animal since they are in fact powerful. However they are at the 400-650 dollar price range. I have a Dyson DC24 used (old) which I recently got and its awesome. Dosen't pick much as a heavier vacuum but the ball technology is awesome and its fun to use so I can imagine how the new ones would be. I'd stay away from cordless vacuums. They are weird and when you use one it feels weird and it feels like its gonna die for some reason and are not as powerful. The heavier the better I feel tho.
r/VacuumCleaners • What vacuum cleaner should I buy? ->I have that bissel and love it. Recommended to me by friends who loved it. And have had friends love it from my recommendation
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->Bissell hands down! I have a white cat and black carpet, it works great. I got it for around $80 on sale
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->Have the bissell one but was 99 dollars on sale. Works great and has a simple dial for changing from my high carpet to bare floor
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->Had the Bissell one and it was an absolute heap of junk. Will never go back to bagless vacuums, bagged are so much better.
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->I have the Bissell one. It works great, the only thing that sort of annoying is you can’t just easily pop the end off and have a stick to get into the little nooks and crannies like you can on the normal vacuum types. You have to sort of dismantle it a bit which is a bit annoying. But it’s super easy to empty the container and REALLY good suction on carpet. I feel like it kind of lifts my carpet up off the floor a bit lol.
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->Bissell goes good, own one. But will be purchasing a small rechargeable stick vac for quick/small cleanups.
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->I've got the Bissell. Have had it replaced once cause the belt got stuck and failed while the ex was using it and she didn't turn it off in time and it melted the plastic around the base of the main body. Have been meticulous in making sure that no stuff clogs the brush in the head as to avoid the belt getting stuck again but other than that, good suction, good capacity.
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->The Bissell one is great. I have a med-long coat white shepherd who sheds enough to fill a paper supermarket bag every couple of days during shedding times, and it’s the best I’ve had by a long shot.
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->No, I do also have a $100 Kmart stick vacuum which is much lighter, smaller etc but it just doesn’t do the job the way the bissell does. The first time I used the bissell I was horrified at how quickly the chamber filled up with dust - it is lift your carpets up strong, it is raise the dead strong. (It didn’t actually lift my carpets up but you get the idea). So that for me is worth its slightly cumbersome nature.
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->Vacuums are different to appliances like heaters (where the wattage is a true indicator of output) - wattage measures the energy consumed by the vacuum but that rarely actually translates to increased PSI. Cheapo motors can and will hit 2400w without increasing fan speed, and even an increase in fan speed can be negligible if the vacuum is designed poorly. I used to sell Miele, can confirm they are 1200W (not 2400W) in the States and they still outperform the majority of 1500W-2400W vacuums. Sebos clock in even lower and perform even better than Mieles. Surface agitation is more important than raw suction power anyway, carpets in NZ tend to trap stuff down at the bottom of the pile like Velcro so you need a decent brush on the head to knock it loose. The EU restrictions were imposed partially because manufacturers were engaging in arms races to up power consumption without actually improving the air watt performance of their vacuums. The Kmart vacuums are still good but in terms of user quality the Bissell is probably going to be better, the dustbin is significantly bigger and the brushes are higher powered. Both are going to basically be the exact same in terms of noticeable ‘suck power’ though, having used both
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->If you have lots of carpet, the Bissell is great, it is a bit cumbersome if you have a large house and lots of vacuuming to do
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->Nope. Had one of the ball ones over a decade ago and ended up replacing it with a Bissell when we moved and the cord wasn’t long enough. $30 Bissell canister did a better job. I’ve since added a Bissell upright pet and a Bissell cordless stick to replace my broom.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->my husband got me some type of bissell pet hair upright (corded). I looooove it. I’m not home to see the exact model. do you have a Costco membership? they have great deals on vacuums & if one craps out on you super fast, you can return it & get a new one! what type of vacuums did you have the issues with? stick vacs are ok for light cleanup between vacuums with a corded vac, but a stick will never be able to keep up with cat hair or dander. I’m always shocked when I vacuum either my expensive Dyson stick vac & then go back over the carpet with my corded bissell.
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->We typically use Bissell pet branded vacuums! Nothing super "official" type, very consumer grade, but our maintenance dept tends to get most of those kinds of supplies for us from our local Lowe's anyhow! I love those big ole types of vacuums though, my grandfather has one and fixed a belt on it, turned it into a self driving BEAST 🤣
r/Custodians • What kind of vacuum cleaners do yall use ->I just replaced my bissell pet vacuum (2-1/2 years old and busted) with a Miele C1 after researching here and in r/buyitforlife there’s some good information in both but you’ll have to do some digging based on what works best for the types of floors you have.
r/VacuumCleaners • Looking for the Best Vacuum Cleaner that Actually Lasts? ->We always choose Bissell vacuums geared toward Pets! They seem to hold up better than our Shark brands and honestly, better than our pricey Dyson
r/Newfoundlander • Vacuum Recommendations? ->Everybody recommends sharks. In my experience they only last a year or two and then they die. I have had the best luck with the Bissell pet vacuum. The thing is a beast it picks up literally anything. It has little bristles along the sides that get right up next to the edge of the floor so you don't need to go around with the hose in the edges. And best of all they're like $120
r/housekeeping • Best vacuum for the job? ->God, Bissells are hot garbage. Our last one (The "For Pets" model) ate a belt about every 6 months. The beater was at the correct height and I was meticulous about cleaning it. Just a bad, bad vacuum cleaner.
r/VacuumCleaners • Why am I going through a vacuum cleaner every 2 years? ->I have a dyson stick that is many many years old. I love it and use it daily. However, it is not sufficient for carpet. It gets the little bits in between cleans, but if I do a dyson pass and follow up immediately with my cheapo bissel standup wall plug vacuum, that thing picks up sooooo much. Just an insight from someone that's not going to tell you theres only two vacuum options you should consider or else.
r/VacuumCleaners • Why are neither Dyson vacuums nor stick vacuums in the recommended vacuum cleaners list ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
