I got a $100 Bissell pet vac, black and purple one with retractable cord, from Walmart in 2017 for Zildjian and I still have it to this day. You don’t need an expensive one, I promise

Tbh I'm glad I'm not the only one that monitors my end product of vacuuming so closely. I have a Bissell pet pro with the retractable cord and it works very well and the freaking cord rewind is my favorite feature. If and when I ever replace it the cord retraction is pretty much a non-negotiable

I learned about Miele vacuum cleaners from Katya on the bald and beautiful podcast (not sponsored, she was just correctly explaining they’re the best vacuum cleaners) and have wanted one ever since. I have a cheap bagged, canister Bissell of the same style as a good Miele and I swear it works better than my parents’ upright Dyson for pets with the roller ball. I can’t even imagine how good a Miele is lol, and I learned this from a silly funny story from a drag queen (she’s right!) idk why anyone would buy a big, heavy upright when these powerful little things exist.

I have a dustbuster-type, usually for stair corners and litter the cats kicked out of their box, a bagless Shark upright, and a bagged Bissell canister, plus a wet/dry vac. The full-size vacs are all corded.

Dysons are convenient without a cord, but they do not run an extended amount of time. To get adequate power, my Dyson has a run time of 8 minutes. Corded vacuums are always more powerful and can run for a much longer duration. I swear by my Bissell Pet corded vacuums. They outshine my Dysons every single time.

With that budget I would look for a standard corded Bissel pet vacuum. Picks up pretty much everything.
