if you want something cordless, compact, and actually strong enough to clean a car, the black+decker 20v [max flex](https://www.amazon.com/DECKER-BDH2020FLFH-Lithium-Vacuum-20-volt/dp/B00JILGZOC?crid=2ZGZNG4O8SUPQ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.5o-mIwWIvJfCzsCVAKYQ39q2wm3OaVJJXEHOR95ZsnzhbdJABehAsRTfs4Va3Ga0bF3vyPU8HPQ-THKazQBPyUu1sBCxI1z9Wrf3KO5XjDAPEypKdh_HPRPt0koi9i88LpTdNGol0BjgWbbKqe6DyNYiAFFrwShb4BW_a_dbgEJwtpevYBTo9uzYIYiY6QuamNqahHVfGkX1Ur6bAmLPPtehXc_ne6gAW2N85VuK0rQ.utGEbxvSMgiEEua3MPUlc-N-PKDjGNJmq-A6_ndBXTE&dib_tag=se&keywords=black%2Bdecker%2B20v%2Bmax%2Bflex&qid=1748915052&sprefix=black%2Bdecker%2B20v%2Bmax%2Bflex%2Caps%2C1255&sr=8-1&th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=davidcollin0b-20&linkId=45566c8df316e30b4db86954bc9cd6f1&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) is probably your best bet under $150. The flexible hose makes it way easier to hit tight spots like between seats or under pedals, and suction is great for crumbs, dust etc. Runtime’s about 15 to 20 minutes. the milwaukee [m18](https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-2903-20-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Tool-Only/dp/B0BKLP1K6R?content-id=amzn1.sym.a949ec2f-983d-439e-ae6a-4028e2c2d8cc%3Aamzn1.sym.a949ec2f-983d-439e-ae6a-4028e2c2d8cc&crid=1Y9L9NZLZUHES&cv_ct_cx=milwaukee+m18&keywords=milwaukee+m18&pd_rd_i=B0BKLP1K6R&pd_rd_r=6f43a857-4381-4648-8130-857e32dfdae4&pd_rd_w=HklXb&pd_rd_wg=3YLUd&pf_rd_p=a949ec2f-983d-439e-ae6a-4028e2c2d8cc&pf_rd_r=2Z88X94Y810CQR6Q3Z9Q&qid=1748915129&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sprefix=milwaukee+m18%2Caps%2C636&sr=1-8-c3caa9c6-537b-4b39-bbc5-5db9f871bef5&linkCode=ll1&tag=davidcollin0b-20&linkId=4479fd1832d48382f2567f717183d6ac&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) is more powerful and rugged, but it’s overkill unless you already own M18 batteries or need it for more than just the car. If you’re in the ecosystem, though, it’s worth a look. Not as strong as the others, but super compact and always ready to go if you don’t want to worry about charging. dyson [V8](https://www.amazon.com/Dyson-Cordless-Vacuum-Silver-Nickel/dp/B0CT9552BL?crid=XS292MBV57U2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.8pJnGfou4OC2-mnNZ3osbSi0jofapix1FDEfcGXZopLeD7QcU0ZOMbPb2jyutiKZv5ONxOTVtPFlM24L7hQgl-r_l18Ba4-RNmzgmxcuJxjVci6oBdA5JwHFZaZGlY8etTbIuY-0K2rdUPLMUgH8IvSIDB-Coq4wuhHxGwd04QcGV5eockeY3-fIuDzyrwQlP_Jim6bLLJqHcvQn9-VDANuGbIZmAJnnJSKfzzJXczo.i5zdEnSrcmwTwNIjNd0dTSMMZg9bWALwDyoIlsMxzX0&dib_tag=se&keywords=dyson%2Bv8%2Bcordless%2Bvacuum%2Bcleaner&qid=1748915289&sprefix=dyson%2BV8%2Caps%2C851&sr=8-1&th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=davidcollin0b-20&linkId=85044415d844122010e5f3b508295f0b&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) or [V10](https://www.amazon.com/Dyson-Cordless-Manufacturers-Warranty-Extension/dp/B0CBC3GSG5?crid=39X3UANN8F2YX&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.jDru4PuhbK84EoRQn7jYWZ9ZnnnxOXIiqK2dhRrMD2sLUnt7sDefIIM6UES2YsgrSsgPXXExppf7SCOXCKWYWyYlJrvB7jIhDEg9SASneqh-7Pawn8R_T7Z4twp6YSfDWCJDrfN1NHYDj5C-590QijwpeQihmoD7_2NAVQpOG_5RCvAf_87g2jV68wk0P3bmDdXAxwpb-dsaPJgDsD_-KHgbUbbxDrtlNucr-cdTDJw.XP-RQ9AB8nSgd7l3oIN64olVhCbpKvf8oqtm6lyEjRw&dib_tag=se&keywords=dyson+v10+cordless+vacuum+cleaner&qid=1748915337&sprefix=dyson+v10+cordless+vacuum+cleaner%2Caps%2C541&sr=8-1&linkCode=ll1&tag=davidcollin0b-20&linkId=7efd7f33bb37c7351be4a572992f7691&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) (with a car detail kit) are solid if you already have one at home, but they’re way overpriced if you’re buying just for the car. Start with the black+decker unless you’re already invested elsewhere.
My go-to vacuum for fast cleanups is an older Black & Decker Flex Vac. The only negative is it doesn't have a replaceable battery so if the battery ever really dies, it's bricked. There is a newer model, but it's not as good. I also have a corded vacuum that has a stronger suction, but it is more of a pain to use.
I don't know if it's the "best" but we have a Black and Decker handheld that runs off their interchangeable 20v batteries which has made it pretty good in terms of futureproofing. They have a larger stick vacuum that works on the same batteries, along with their tools so we have like a half dozen batteries that work across all these things.
Black and Decker, Dust Buster. A bit big, but works for getting the grounds on the counter and floor. Also for general kitchen small vac jobs, like when seeds are spilled on the floor, etc.
If you have power tools and are already invested in a battery system then buy a handheld vacuum from that brand. I own Ryobi tools and batteries so I got a Ryobi vacuum and it's so much better than the Black and Decker dust buster that I had before. You can even attach accessories to it. The batteries last a lot longer but more importantly the filter doesn't clog up a minute into the job. The problem is that these batteries are made for heavy duty tools so they're expensive so wait for deals. I think Ryobi Days on Home Depot starts soon.
The Dyson one is really powerful but also quite expensive. The black and decker dustbuster is pretty solid and costs less than $50
Ryobi has a good one, but the black & decker dustbuster is decent too if you're trying to save money
