Bought a Bosch Athlet 9 yrs ago , still does a 2 bed flat on a single charge including the cats hair
I have a Bosch Athlet which I bought about 8 years ago, its nice and light and its cordless, but it really is crap. I need to buy a Henry.
Ich habe den Bosch Athlete Pro Animal. Allerdings erst seit ca 6 Monaten, daher noch keine Langzeiterfahrung. Bin aber mit Saug- und Akkuleistung sehr zufrieden nzw positiv überrascht.
1. power isn't an issue. Wattage on the upper end cordless dysons is as much or more than some of the corded miele canister vacs sold in my country. 2. Definitely more bagged corded available than just numatic/henry. 3. Weight in the handl. I have a have a canister and there are more than a few others on the market. I also have a nice cordless upright that we love (not available in the USA, bosch Athlet). Meile makes the triflex which can be configued as an upright. 4. My henry cordless canister has the same exact filtration as my henry corded.
> It's leagues above anything I've tried in the non-canister world. That's not a format thing. In theory an upright with a shorter air path could do better than a canister given the same engine. Also have you tried a Felix? Super suction. Have not seen numbers but can't believe the C1 is any better. Pet hair and food I rather have a canister than bag. Empty that smelly stuff out daily instead of letting it fester in your closet for months. For ultimate convenience have you tried a cordless upright? Even better in some ways than a stick as you just leave it standing anywhere instead of laying all over the place. Our 30-ish volt bosch athlet picks up stuff as well as our Felix. Probably weaker suction but the brushes make up for it. (we have hard floors so don't often have the powered head on our felix).
I like my bosch athlete but it's a different formfactor (upright not stick), you can't replace the battery and I don't like the accessory system. I've had 3 or 4 models and the latest 30ish volts are best with awesome suction. Honestly can't tell a diffference between the athlet and my corded sebo felix on our hard floors. Probably a bit heavier but it's an upright not a stick so not as much weight on your hand and love that it stands on it's own instead of laying all over the place. Hate that the battery is built in and can't be replaced but my spouse likes it much more than our Henry canister and Sebo Felix stick that when the battery life gets short we just get a new one. Brush roll is removable and it makes cleaning it so much easier than my shark duo clean head with a fixed rear brush. Liked every thing else about my shark cordless "lift away" vacuum but the hard to clean easy to clog rear brush roll made me give up on it and relegate it to light duty in the basement. But buy it knowing that if you like it after three or four years you'll probably get a new one so factor that into the lower cost when comparing against more expensive vacuums such as dyson: [https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/bosch-innovations/athlet](https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/bosch-innovations/athlet)
The black and decker you mentioned is only 46 euros at mediamarkt 43 euros onn amazon. Not a huge risk to give it a try......... 2K reviews on amazon and it's weighing in at 3.9 with 11% 1 star reviews. Common complaints are poor materials/construction and only lasts a year: [https://www.amazon.de/-/en/product-reviews/B08J7HZW77/ref=acr\_dp\_hist\_1?ie=UTF8&filterByStar=one\_star&reviewerType=all\_reviews#reviews-filter-bar](https://www.amazon.de/-/en/product-reviews/B08J7HZW77/ref=acr_dp_hist_1?ie=UTF8&filterByStar=one_star&reviewerType=all_reviews#reviews-filter-bar) But for the price you could buy a new one every year and it would take a decade before you had paid the price of one dyson....... On amazon this is the top selling corded stick. Twice as much as the black and decker (80ish euros) but 4.5. out of 5 starts with 1k+ reviews and it has an active brush roll that will be better for some surfaces: [https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Vexilar-C8-Vacuum-Cleaner-Cable/dp/B0F2H83GGY](https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Vexilar-C8-Vacuum-Cleaner-Cable/dp/B0F2H83GGY) Commenting on what I've owned: We really like our Bosch Athlet. It's battery operated and yeah it degrades after 3 or 4 years then we just get a new one. Have not found anything better and use it more often than our. corded felix. Numatic has a corded stick I'm interested in but I've not seen it in germany yet and. numatic UK is showing it as out of stock: [https://www.myhenry.com/henry-quick-corded](https://www.myhenry.com/henry-quick-corded)
I have a Bosch one which is working well. Decent sized canister for a stick model and pretty good suction. Also has a bendy tube for getting under low furniture
