To be honest, this is one of the few things where I would recommend Bosch over Makita.. Their GAS 18V-1 works better than both Makita LXT vacuums I have owned previously (XLC07 & DCL180Z). Most of my tools are Makita but in my opinion their vacuums just don't have good suction power. You can get a Makita 18V to Bosch Blue/professional battery converter for less than 20$. Don't get me wrong, the Makitas work fine for small DIY jobs here and there, but I would recommend them for work. If you already have some 40V batteries, Makita XGT vacuums would do much better.
