Power Express Lite 3-in-1 Corded Stick Vacuum

I just bought a Dirt Devil Power Express Lite on Amazon and it is INCREDIBLE. I have a Dyson (love) but it’s just too heavy to use on stairs, and I have an old Dirt Devil for our downstairs HW floors that has lasted 10+ years so I took a chance on this new one based on price (very inexpensive) and positive reviews to use upstairs between professional cleanings. It’s GREAT! So lightweight, and for the price, plus how it comes in the packaging and having to put it together, I really did not expect much at all. But wow, it really gets the carpet clean, it’s easy to manage on stairs, is light, and does a great job on hardwood floors. Love this thing. Great buy and if it lasts as long as my other one, it is definitely BIFL.

I used a $50 power express dirt devil from Walmart and it worked amazingly for 5 cats and a dog- up until I got a puppy who decided the cord was DELICIOUS.

The Dirt Devil stick vacuum already has very low suction power. If you are finding it is pulling up the rug you might find most vacuums will get stuck to this rug. Many newer rugs have rubber backings that don't let much air through so they get stuck to vacuums quite easily. I have a chair mat that gets stuck to my cordless vacuum on medium power, I have to use low power but this amount of suction also struggles to pickup some crumbs. Maybe try the Dirt Devil with the brushroll off? You could try a vacuum with more openings in the front so the suction isn't as concentrated like the Bissell Featherweight Powerbrush #2773A $54. Or you could try a cordless vacuum like this Vacmaster Portable 10.8V 2-in-1 Cordless Stick Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner VSD1001 $66. The Vacmaster is cordless which is usually less powerful than corded and it has a 2 speed switch with a low power setting.
