On the corded front We have a Dyson Ball Animal we bought in 2021 no issues at all with 5 girls, and 3 males most with long hair which we bought while we replaced a host the kids shot a short pencil through. We also have a Dyson Multi Floor 2 (bought 2018) that the kids shot a short pencil through the curved back hose. we replaced with the newer Dyson ball while I decided to get around to fixing. I fixed it by buying that curved hose part for $18, then installed it and it is working great. We also have Dyson V8 (2018) which is great but doesn't have a long battery life on turbo. I have other family members that also have V8s except 1 which has A V10 they got at Costco which seems to be like the V10 but longer battery life. Other brands I hear good things about is Shark which Costco also carries. Unsure the hate. Over 10 Dyson vacuums in the family absolutely none of the have had issues unless we caused physical damage to it. Seems it was very easy to repair.
My Dyson Multifloor 2 is about 15 years old and still works great. \*shrug\*
I have a Dyson with the ball design from like 2013, it was around $300-400 and itâs still going strong. My only complaint is itâs big and we now have more hardwood floors where we used to have carpet. It is just bulky but it works really great, itâs been used to clean at least weekly or more than that for all these years.
Thatâs what I thought, too. Hereâs my math on that: I spent $1k on my Sebo in March. I added up the cost of the 3 Dyson vacuums( Iâve had since 2017) and the parts Iâve had to replace = I should have bought a Sebo sooner. Models Iâm literally placing on the curb tomorrow for whoever wants them. Iâve had it with Dysonâs cheap plastic crap: The upright Dyson (2021), V6 (2017) replaced with V11 (2022). All have had their brush heads replaced. 2 of the 3 are broken again. Not sure whatâs wrong with the upright, again. We donât even use them heavily, I have cleaners in once every 2 weeks. Itâs absurd.
I have 2 broken shark lift away navigators one so far is just the head replacement and the other is the hose to the vacuum elbow connector but I can't tell if it includes the hose. Then I have an orange ball dyson I can figure out how to engage the beater bar. I bought the navigators refurbished. One lasted years the other more recent 1 lasted maybe a year. They keep making them so much less quality it seems. What can I do with these vacuums? I literally got a vacuum graveyard growing in my living room.
I did this, theyâre anywhere from $40-$100 and is an insanely good deal for the price but youâll need to clean the cyclone which takes a decent bit of time and patience so be aware.
Buy a 2013-2019 era Dyson Ball from marketplace. They are Bagless, very clean emptying process, they have an aggressive brushroll (which is my favourite feature on them), excellent suction. The brush roll has an on/off switch. They often sell at or below $250 on marketplace.
I hate to say it, but yes. The newer stick ones are amazing. Had mixed luck with the Dyson ball models but loving the new obes
Mine died in 1 week, used it maybe 3 times. I called CS and they told me the main drive unit is considered a consumable product and isnât eligible for warranty. They offered a replacement drive unit for $90 plus shipping. I returned it the next day. Had a Dyson for 4 years, standup has worked perfectly. The handheld battery died after maybe 3 years and they sent me a new one for free, no shipping. Sharks are complete garbage and their service is as well
Canister vacuum: Dyson cinetic big ball (no maintainance) / Dyson big ball (filter to maintain) Both have hygienic bin emptying (your finger doesnt go near the waste disposal area) Itâs easy to reach around due to the extendable wand. Upright: Dyson ball upright vacuum (any) theyre easy to maintain, they have hygienic bin emptying, and they have a long wand on the back thats easy to use with the on board tools. Cordless: Dyson v12 (itâs small and uses a button power system, easy to manoeuvre) / Dyson gen5 (itâs normal size, uses a power button system and had a built in crevice and dusting brush combo). Both have hygienic bin emptying
