I'm not a Dyson fanboy by any stretch...but... my partner and I got a fire sale of a deal on a Dyson Big Ball Animal corded canister about 6 years ago (I can't remember if it was JB Hi-Fi or Farmer's) and it's been a great vacuum. I wouldn't get one full price as what they ask for them is ridiculous, but, if you can get one at a steep enough discount, I reckon they're pretty good.
r/newzealand • Briscoes sale - vacuum cleaner recommendations please!! ->Maybe a battery powered canister style vacuum. I still have a Dyson canister vacuum that is great but I never use it because I hate having to plug and unplug it.
r/egopowerplus • I'd love to see an Ego Vacuum cleaner ->I actually think I used the wrong term. I just meant the regular style vacuum. But I think after a quick Google that's called an upright style. The canister seems to be like the old rainbow my grandmother had. I agree I wouldn't want that. But like a regular old standing vacuum that worked on an ego battery so you didn't need to plug and unplug it to move around the house would be great.
r/egopowerplus • I'd love to see an Ego Vacuum cleaner ->Nothing wrong with using a shop vac as a regular vaccuum cleaner. it gets the job done. I think they are just designed to work in dirty messy shops, so they are bigger, and maybe don't have as good dust filters on them. When indoors, you want to avoid blowing dust and allergens all over the place by using a vaccuum with a hepatitis filter. You can use a regular vaccuum with hos attachments to suck up cobwebs and clean fan blades and stuff. Yes, we have two vaccuums. actually 3, but who's counting? A Dyson cordless handheld. and a Dyson canister vaccuum. We like having one on each level. I HATE dragging that thing up the stairs.
r/homeowners • Can shop vac be used for indoor cleaning? If not what are its other uses? ->Dyson canisters are designed to sit on stairs. https://www.vacuumwizard.com/vw-content/uploads/2015/10/dyson-dc23-stairs.jpg With an upright for stairs I would just be using it normally not trying to use the hose with an attachment of any kind.
r/housekeeping • What vacuum do you use on carpeted stairs? I’m tired of balancing my vacuum on each step while using the attachments. One day I’m going to break my neck. Are handheld vacuums with brush rollers any good? ->Shark! I’ve had Bissell, Dyson, and Shark. The Bissell I had was an early bagless model, and it was an absolute pain to empty out. I replaced it with a Dyson canister that the sales guy at Bed Bath and Beyond sold me on. I discovered those were a PITA when you have stairs, so I replaced it with a Shark this year. The Shark is easy to empty out and has crazy suction. I’m moving out of the townhome I rented for the past year before buying my house, and even though I haven’t lived in the townhouse in over a month, the Shark keeps pulling up dust and cat hair.
r/homeowners • Best house vacuum ->I have. rechargeable Bissel Crosswave that handles 80% of the vacuuming needed for daily stuff, and mops floors too. Once a week on average I will do a deep clean with my dyson canister vac.
r/VacuumCleaners • Ive been trying to find a vacuum, I scoured the sub for hours. Conclusion? r/VacuumCleaners hate vacuum cleaners and apparently i should just buy a broom. ->I bought two dysons thinking they were the best. Canister vacuum motor burnt out right after the two year warranty. Stick vacuum battery died, which was fine to replace but still annoying. We’ve been limping along with just the stick vacuum for two years now brutal!
r/VacuumCleaners • Never ever buy a Dyson vac. ->I have a plug in big ball dyson that I bought in 2016 and I work as a cleaner so that baby gets used at least 3x a week for a couple of hours. It's one of the best vacuums I've ever owned ( my favourite is the Electrolux) The sucking power and the head swivel, the interchangeable parts all have stood the test of time. I love that i can dismantle the head for cleaning it. I highly recommend this vacuum to everyone. I do absolutely hate the dyson stick vacuums though!!!
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->Canister vacuum: Dyson cinetic big ball (no maintainance) / Dyson big ball (filter to maintain) Both have hygienic bin emptying (your finger doesnt go near the waste disposal area) It’s easy to reach around due to the extendable wand. Upright: Dyson ball upright vacuum (any) theyre easy to maintain, they have hygienic bin emptying, and they have a long wand on the back thats easy to use with the on board tools. Cordless: Dyson v12 (it’s small and uses a button power system, easy to manoeuvre) / Dyson gen5 (it’s normal size, uses a power button system and had a built in crevice and dusting brush combo). Both have hygienic bin emptying
r/VacuumCleaners • Reliable Vacuum Cleaner Suggestions - Italy ->I got a second hand dyson big ball vaccum for $10 off FB marketplace. gave it a quick service and it was good to go. Best vaccum I've ever had
r/newzealand • The best vacuum cleaner under $100 ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
