I purchased it. It’s nowhere near as strong as a corded vacuum but it’s very convenient. Battery only lasts 10 mins on max suction but I’m able to clean my entire car in that time. The motorized attachments helps clean up dog hair from the carpet pretty easily. I assume the effectiveness would depend on the type of hair. I have an Australian Shepard / border collie mix and it works well. The lower suction setting is great for cleaning countertops / dusting without sucking everything up in its path. Also great for cleaning stairs!
Dyson has a great [handheld car vacuum cleaner](https://productbible.com/product/dyson-car-handheld-vacuum-cleaner). its cordless and comes with attachments to get into tight spots like between seats and under pedals.
yeah, it only weighs a few pounds and is a little larger than regular handheld vacuums, so its easy to do spot cleaning with. its much more powerful than the cheaper alternatives too
Dyson is the best imo, but the black and decker bustbuster is a solid option if you're on a budget. You can find a helpful breakdown of the best options [in this thread](https://www.reddit.com/user/Working-Hawk-1982/comments/1nax1ri/the_best_handheld_vacuums/)
shop vacs are good, but I find handheld vacuums to be the most convenient option. Dyson makes a handheld vacuum meant specifically for cars, but if you're looking to spend less, then I know black and decker has some decent ones as well. Any Dyson handheld vac - in particular the Car/Boat vacuum (#885609040349). It's around $225USD. Definitely BIFL.
If you're willing to do the staircases in batches, I'd consider a dyson car+boat as a handheld-only option. I don't often recommend dysons but for stairs, this would be a decent choice. Should perform well and filter better than most of the other cordless dustbusters out there. When used on normal setting you should be able to get through a staircase at a time or maybe one and a half. A more expensive but better choice would be the miele duoflex. It's more solidly built and has the bonus of being a stick vac. If used with It's main brush head, you can cover the stairs more quickly and it'll do a really good job. The brush roller is really substantial. You could also get the total care model if you would prefer to have a smaller brush head accessory. I had another look and there really aren't any corded options I can emphatically recommend. Not for carpeted stairs anyway. There are some decent mini canister style machines which can be carried with a shoulder strap, but I find them cumbersome as well.
I had one of each, purchased long ago at the same time. The 3 motorized wands worked on car+boat sometimes and would not spin sometimes. Never had that issue with the unit they came with.
I like mine but honestly it’s kind of weak:/ the spin brush attachment works ok but just the dry suction is 👎🏼 if I’m trying to detail my car or my window sills I have to make multiple passes
I used to use a ShopVac wet and dry unit, but when I got to try a Dyson for my cars, I just had to get one for them.
