i love my dyson animal. i have the canister, not the upright.
Not cordless, but I've had my Dyson Animal Canister for 15 years and it still works amazing. I'm desperate to go to corded but this thing has been too good... Curious to know if their cordless are the same.
Not sure I can agree on the customer service part, I recently purchased some other Dyson products and then had a hell of a time trying to return them. However, I can agree on the strength of the Dysons. We have a 15-year-old 19 animal (still going strong) and we have just purchased a new cordless G5 detect. The power on this thing is ridiculous and itās pulling up all sorts from the depth of the carpet. The runtime is fine and more than we need. The laser is amazing on hard floors, a real game changer.
Plug in Dyson Animal that's got to be at least 15 years old. Just keeps on suckin'! Had to replace the hose on it last year, but that's it. We have three cats, a golden, and I shed a fair bit as well. We have hardwood, tile, and rugs. I like that it just seamlessly goes from one to the other.
100% It was tough to justify the new price, but no regrets now. It's such an odd vacuum in that it feels so... rickety? It always feels like it should fall apart, yet refuses to die. Still pulls animal hair out of carpet like nothing else. I see mint condition ones on the local classifieds for $100 all the time. If ours died, I'd replace it with the same one without a second thought.
Shout out to that 15+ year old dyson! I just replaced the hose on mine this year. Gosh, it was expensive to buy in 2009, but I've definitely got my money's worth out of it.
I have a 2009 dyson animal. Thing still works like a champ. šŖ I vacuum twice a week. My 3 are field golden retreiver/field irish setter mix....so less floof their their show breed counterparts. It would be nice to have a robot vacuum, but i dont have the kind of disposable income needed for a good quality robot vac š²š²š² that could handle their hair to justify frivolous spending when my current vac and manual labor still get the job done.
I think you should take your wife to a vacuum shop and see if she can try some vacuums. Maybe she will end up liking a bagged vacuum. I'm telling you tho the bagless ones have been crap. The Dyson one I've been using which I thought was good was crap. I will never go back to bagless.
Dysonās bagless models are pretty decent and the attachments cover a lot of bases. Shark is a more budget friendly but less durable manufacturer, but still quality for the buck.
I'll be honest I had the bagless Miele and it kinda sucked (in that it didn't suck!), my bagless Dyson is much better. If I were to get another canister Miele it'd have to be bagged.
