This is what just swayed me...got it last night, should I take it out of the box or return?
PS it's my first Dyson, first more expensive vacuum purchase.
Dyson pets v8 or V9 I think . Been using for 8 months and it’s great
For the love of vacuums Please don't. I've serviced and refurbed so many of these cordless Dysons. If you aren't willing too buy a phone and electronics screwdriver bit kit, avoid them. Dyson uses tiny t8and t9 screws, and the brushroll head is notorious for the little motor belt snapping. Also the parts are very expensive... They aren't worth the cost imo. On average the many ones I've serviced the factory batteries don't last more than a year or two.... The attachments break very easily, and replacing the drive belts on the motorized heads is a challenge if you havent done it before. They also start too smell bad very quickly if you don't sanitize the dust bin and aluminum dust shield built into the unit... I've also noticed the motorized heads scratch all flooring types very easily.
OP don't get me wrong they are legitimately good vacuums.! They are just a huge pain too maintain in a way that keeps them performing close too new. My personal professional opinion though when I take the engineering and design concept into consideration is that they aren't user maintenence friendly.
It was $330 off last weekend. My son's employee discount made it impossible to pass up. We like it so far.
Get a Dyson bah? If you don't mind the older models, you can get a V8 or V9 on carousell for a cheaper price, buy the replacement battery packs on taobao / Aliexpress and you can keep it working for as long as its motor works
Well, not because its fancy but because it's one of the best one on the market and yes I am kinda biased but I will always say the Dyson Cordless are the best of the best. You don't need the latest like the V15 since I [still have a Dyson V9 ](https://amzn.to/4oDvR90)and it's still going strong to this day. HEPA filter, able to transition from carpet, rug, to bare floor easy. And picks up the tiniest dust particles. This is my pick even with the price.
Newer dysons and shark have tangle free brush bars and there actually work!
Have a Dyson pet cordless for quick vacs and was going to get a Miele but have a Sebo and I love it! Also used in the Royal Household.
My Dyson has a Los screen with battery time left. It will warn you with 5 min left and even count down
This is what shocked me when I recently acquired a pet one at Costco, on sale. Its SO rickety, and plasticky and overall it feels like it could fall apart at any moment. It legitimately made me realize even at a discount I overpaid. Consumer are honestly always at a disadvantage with this stuff. I couldn't believe it felt so cheap for how much it cost.
