The best vacuum cleaner is the one that fits your cleaning needs. That said; if I’m choosing: - MD or Vacuflo central vac with chameleon retractable hoses and direct connext inlets. - Canister: SEBO D4 - Raw Power upright: Riccar R40 - Overall upright: Sebo X -Cordless: Hoover ONEPWR Hepa Bagged Upright BH55500PC (oreck has one, Hoover commercial has 40v version) - Ultralight: Oreck Elevate Conquer (yes Riccar R17 is excellent but this has a swivel neck)
r/VacuumCleaners • What's the best vacuum currently in existence, price not relevant? ->The unit comes with 2 20v 4ah batteries and the Hoover is 2 speed. It’s around 20-25min on low speed hard floor, 10-15mjn on high speed carpet. It depends on how thick the carpet is. The brushroll can be adjusted for thicker carpeting by rotating the end caps.
r/VacuumCleaners • What's the best vacuum currently in existence, price not relevant? ->Bagged vacuums are needed if you have significant allergies. Once I’ve removed something from my home, I don’t want to have to breath it again when I empty the vacuum canister. I actually have three - a bagged, corded canister (Miele), for deeper cleaning; a bagged cordless (Hoover OnePower) for quick pickups on carpet; and a bagless cordless (Dyson V12) for quick pickups on hard surfaces. This seems to keep my house the cleanest. IMO the Dyson doesn’t have enough suction power for carpet even for quick pickups.
r/VacuumCleaners • Cordless Stick Vacuums are perfect for most people. ->I have a Hoover OnePwr and it’s really effective with dog hair on my carpets. I also love that it has a bag and no wires
r/Dogowners • Vacuum Cleaner Recs for Dog Household ->I have a Hoover onepwr with a bag, wireless and it’s excellent
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->I like the Hoover ONEPWR vacs. Theycan be used on floors and carpets. When the battery dies, you can just replace it with another battery. All the ONEPWR vacs use the same batteries. The newer chargers charge pretty quick, too.
r/VacuumCleaners • cordless vacuum recommendations? ->I had a Dyson "stick" type vacuum. It didn't last nearly as long as the price tag suggested it should. The out of warranty repair cost was 75% of what a new one would cost so I chucked it. I replaced it with a **Hoover ONE PWR** at half the price of the Dyson. I've had it longer than I had the Dyson and it's still working great. It comes with 2 batteries so one lives on the charger, the other on the vacuum. Means I've always got a full charge. The Dyson battery was internal so you can't swap out a battery if it dies on you. I would avoid anything that's not a brand name. Before the Dyson there was a generic Amazon no-name special vacuum that I used once, packed it back up in the box, and sent it back. Absolute junk. Bad suction. Just bad all around. Some of them may be fine but I don't trust the Amazon reviews on the no-name ones. They have a "Fieety" brand stick vacuum for $159 with nearly 1000 reviews averaging 4.6 stars. Is it good? You'd think so. But I still wouldn't take a chance on it. Ironically, the vacuum I bought and have had nothing but good luck with has a very low rating on Amazon (only 3 reviews though), but it doesn't matter as it's no longer available since it's such an old model.
