Relatable. I got used to using a Windsor S12 at work. When I needed a new vacuum at home, I found a used one for $300. Love it
These are good, but 2 motor vacs have issues for me with weight balance. And this particular one has no height adjustment. But it's a good brand. My go to for vacuums now is Ebay's official Karcher account, which sells refurbs. I got a Senser S12 Hepa for around $400. It basically was new. It had the switch go out in it after a few weeks, but Karcher has a 90 day pro warranty on it. Despite telling them it was just the switch, they sent me a new cord and new bottom powerhead.
Hello! I work as a residential cleaner. 15 story building with long hallways in Canada. We have long winters with lots of tiny granite rock and sand that needs to be cleaned up. My boss has asked me to find a good commercial vacuum as I need a new one and I am stumped. We've tried the Karcher Sensor Upright Vacuum (decent vacuum but the suction is not great once the bag fills up about an inch). We've also tried Lindhaus Upright Vacuum (very cheap quality, we had 3 and they all busted in some way, also suction isn't great once bag fills up only a little) and Sanitaire Upright bagless Vacuum (was very low and couldn't adjust height so we all ended up with back pains by the end of the day, side hose also was just a hose with no wand, suction was garbage, I was tapping filter out every floor). I am currently using a canister vacuum which is like the "henry" vacuum but its not only killing my back but also my wrist... overall the Karcher was the best but the suction just does not keep up and having to change the bag every other day or even everyday is just costly. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a good long lasting vacuum thats not going to give out in a year or 2 as its like pulling teeth getting equipment. I prefer a upright with a hose that has a wand and preferably can go on carpet and hard floor but I am willing to go with just carpet. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated, again in Canada thanks!
Mostly Sebo - Karcher - Windsor Sensor I'd say are the best commercial upright vacuums on the market. Sebo is top tier in terms of warranties. I've heard mix things with how Karcher does business. Riccar is a pretty solid vacuum. Not all of them are made in the US though. Vacuum repair shops won't hate you for bringing them in for repair. I'm not sure how well Riccar is these days for holding up to their warranties; especially commercially. I think this is a big issue in the US right now. For backpack vacuums, I like Hoover's Commercial battery powered line. And Karcher's new battery line - very light weight.
I think there’s mixed reviews with dyson. We have had a dyson v8 total clean with all the accessories for 8 years now. Last year the battery died and i’ve upgraded it, i’m changing all filters every 6 months, but it still works perfectly after so many years. Agree it’s not the best for suction, but that’s why i have a commercial kärcher for deep cleaning the house. But for every day light use i think dyson is ok. If i was to replace it now, i wouldn’t really know what to get as i’m out of touch with the current cordless vacuums
I agree with this advice. I have the same setup as well, where I have one wired vacuum (a Karcher) for deep cleans and the other a handheld Dyson for quick cleans.
