I have a karcher (think of it as an industrial cylinder) just like a henry - and there are some places in the house where it would be difficult to use the cylinder. Personally don't get rid of Henry - as it's a god send for a real good vacuum that sucks well and sucks up the mess in times of urgency (when your stand alone is battery drained. But I do recommend the Shark Stratos - it's a really good addition to my cylinder vacuum. It's lightweight and the battery lasts well. You can choose IQ sensos or eco mode or boost mode. With boost mode it sucks really well for a battery, but of course you do expect it to drain quickly in the process. Whether as a vacuum for the home or a smaller hoover for the stairs and clean up mess in the kitchen. The stratos has done a good job thus far. Battery 3.5 hours to charge up fully - and Ninja Kitchen UK and Shark are in the same group - so from a warranty point of view - you got it covered if anything goes wrong.

love Henry's. was a cleaner for years and that's the choice in all cases. I have a karcher now because it's cheaper and that thing is full industrial as well, sucks the sh1t out of things

I think there’s mixed reviews with dyson. We have had a dyson v8 total clean with all the accessories for 8 years now. Last year the battery died and i’ve upgraded it, i’m changing all filters every 6 months, but it still works perfectly after so many years. Agree it’s not the best for suction, but that’s why i have a commercial kärcher for deep cleaning the house. But for every day light use i think dyson is ok. If i was to replace it now, i wouldn’t really know what to get as i’m out of touch with the current cordless vacuums

I got myself a Karcher wet/dry in the sales and just purchased a cheap (£12) head for it so i can use it as a standard vacuum. Couldn't be happier. Cost me £75 in total.

Where are karchers? Dirt cheap, hell strong suction and dead simple. Dirt, dust or just air? No problem. Also water or chemicals? Sure thing! I used mine to suck water out of underground garage when firecrew couldn't suck it out anymore due to too thin water layer. I use it to wet clean sofa and my car too. I think those yellow bastards should be at the very top of bifl chart of vacuum cleaners.

I have been using a Karcher wet & Dry for the past 5yrs or so. Never had any problem. Perhaps it's a fluke because I've never seen it recommended here.

Use a karcher wet and dry vacuum. It’s great and powerful and only cost around £65/£70
