Karcher WD5, I destroyed 2 Dyson's and went with the karcher, it is sooooo powerful, and could suck a golf ball through a garden hose
I don't know of any large leaf vacuums for home use that would get the dust off the floor. But I think you'd be pretty happy with a good shop vacuum or mounted garage vacuum/central vacuum. Using my shop vac is much faster than sweeping and I don't stir up the dust like if you are using a leaf blower. I still like the leaf blower for blowing dust and cobwebs out of corners and stuff. I really like the Karcher wet/dry vacuums like the Karcher WD 5P and WD 6PS. They have a hose and wand slightly wider then 1.25 inches which makes it easier to use than the really wide 2.5 inch hose/wands, but it does make it less useful for sucking up super wide stuff like large leaves. I still have no problems with the eucalyptus leaves around my garage, but just something to keep in mind. These Karchers are also quieter than the average shop vac. A good garage vacuum or central vacuum can be mounted in your garage if you want a long hose and you don't want to pull a shop vac behind you. What do you think?
+2 here. Used it for 5 years now and still going strong. I got the ugly yellow one. The replacement bag is also cheap and you can get off brand replacement bags from lazada/taobao. I replaced the original wheels with rollerblade wheels early on and it still rolls smooth. I can't remember the price but it was like $200-300 IIRC
Any of their wet and dry vacuum (WD series for consumer grade or NT for industrial grade). Most of the suction units are similar across the same range (only bigger bucket) but for general purpose home use is more than enough. Make sure it's wet and dry if you intend to use for vacuuming water/wet stuff and empty the bin + sun/air dry after use if it's wet, otherwise you will have your own biohazardous container at home. Can't recommend their water filter or bagged vacuums as I have no experience with those, however they look very generic like straight out of some china OEM factory.
Our last two hoovers have been Karcher WD hoovers. Ridiculously powerful, robust, & with Wet & Dry potential. Cheap too compared to your Dysons & your Sharks etc
