My Kenmore canister vacuum was so versatile. It could easily get under the couch and coffee table, had all the attachments and the cord auto retracted into the vacuum. It was also a very simple design which meant that it lasted a really long time. I now have a Dyson and hate it.
r/VacuumCleaners • Explain to me why you like a canister vac? And give me advice on what to get... ->Kenmore canister-- affordable and a BEAST
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->I’ve been using a Kenmore canister vacuum for over 18 years now and it’s great with hardwood, rugs, and pet hair.
r/BuyItForLife • Vacuum Recommendations- Pet Hair & Mixed Floors ->Get a bagged kenmore canister.
r/VacuumCleaners • I am feeling so overwhelmed trying to find a vacuum, help please. ->I do not recommend the eureka power speed. It does not have a legitimate filtration system and will blow dust right back into the air. Shark isn’t the most recommended machine on this market but some are far better than others. The Navigator Lift-Away NV350 series or NV360 (Walmart) are actually decent cleaners inexpensive if maintained properly. There’s a few things to keep an eye on and they can last quite a long time. 1. Keep the lint screen in the dust bin clean. Hair can sometimes wrap around it. It’s easy to access through the top of the bin. 2. Keep the brush roll free of hair. There is a built-in groove that allows you to easily cut hair. 3. Filters. Purchase a jumbo pack online for $20. Wash the foam and felt pre-motor filters once a month and just replace them every 3. Do not wash the post motor HEPA filter, and replace every 6 month I’ve found these to work well on carpet and hard floor. There is a suction reducing valve on the hose handle that makes it work well on tricky rugs. The Kenmore Intuition upright is another great inexpensive choice. It’s bagged and eliminates the hassle of constant bagless maintenance. Also look at a Kenmore 200 or 400 series canister. Canisters are better for lots of different floor surfaces. You can get a Kenmore pet powermate mini power nozzle that fits the 200 / 400 for extra tough stuff and the fitting it uses is generic so lots of attachments will work with it. I think this is probably going to be your best bet. The 400 series goes on sale online for $220 if you can stretch
r/VacuumCleaners • Lost in the Vacuum Aisle ->There is no such thing as a “self cleaning brushroll” without compromising something. Hair still wraps in the bearings and that’s where the damage really happens. Most self cleaning brushrolls compromise on deep cleaning. The best brushroll for hair wrap is the SEBO cassette design With the variety of flooring and needs, I’m thinking a Kenmore 200 or 400 series might be your best bet. Bagged vacuums have more airflow, lower maintenance, better filtration, etc. pet hair compacts in the bags. With so many different needs, I think this might be the best bet for $200. The difference between the 200 and 400 are an adjustable wand, the power switch is on the handle, adjustable suction, and better filtration.
r/VacuumCleaners • Why such high vacuum requirements but want to pay under $150-$200 USD? ->Kenmore is your best bet. I’m not a fan of the 200 series (although it cleans well) it’s very compromised (short cord and hose). Look at the 400 series or 600 series if you can catch it on a sale. Or a Kenmore Intuition BU4050 if you like uprights.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best Vacuum <$200 (Cordless or cord, hopefully good on carpet) ->Yep you’re on the right track. If you can get the carpet out first, you could do a simplicity Jill (it’s better built than the mighty mite) neither of these will do carpet well. Or if not grab a Kenmore 200/400 series.
r/VacuumCleaners • Vacuum recommendation ->The Kenmore 400 is a solid model.
r/VacuumCleaners • Budget Canister Vacuum Recommendations ->Kenmores may be available in some Kohls. They aren’t BIFL, however they ARE going to last for awhile (treat it nicely). Kenmore 400/600 series.
r/VacuumCleaners • Quality vacuum I can pick up in person? ->Check out Kenmore 400/600 canister series, those will be great for wall to wall carpet and all the stairs.
r/VacuumCleaners • Vacuum recommendations for a two cat household ->Lol, well the difference is you’ll use the warranty on the Bissell you won’t need to on the Kenmore. It’s a superior machine in all aspects. Numbers are only numbers. If you want a machine that will perform for the first couple months then deteriorate quickly go for the Bissell with the 5 year warranty. If you want a machine that will last and the performance won’t change go Kenmore.
r/VacuumCleaners • Vacuum recommendations for a two cat household ->Go for the Bissell. FAFO, friend.
r/VacuumCleaners • Vacuum recommendations for a two cat household ->Many brands have short warranties, that have nothing to do with reliability and build quality. That said, many brands offer a longer warranty to get you to buy them over better built machines. Think cars: Hyundai/Kia offer the longest warranties out there, yet they’re some of the least reliable cars with poor build quality. Meanwhile, Toyota/Lexus (and most other Japanese brands) offer 3 to 5 year warranties and are extremely reliable. Miele and Sebo are German made, much higher priced. Great machines and usually lighter. Kenmore is solid built, a bit heavier and that shows in a lower price. You’re getting a great vacuum for the price. I’m just trying to work with your budget. If you were pushing $1200 budget, I’d say go with a Sebo K3 Premium or Miele C3 Kona. You choose. Miele also doesn’t offer long warranties yet I’ve got 5 family members with Mieles that are 3 to 20 years old, no issues or complaints. Warranty? Irrelevant. Sebo owners will likely never utilize the warranty either. They’re well built in the first place.
r/VacuumCleaners • Vacuum recommendations for a two cat household ->If you can manage the $800ish mark a Sebo E3 Premium or Miele C1 Cat Dog are some of the best options you have. They are BIFL models and should last you 10-20 years as long as you treat them nicely and use genuine filters and bags. Understandably, if you can’t hit that price point the Kenmore 400/600 series canisters are good and around $300ish. The build quality isn’t as good as their German counterparts but they still perform quite well and again, if treated nicely, should last awhile. If you have a local Miele/Sebo dealer and want to go that route, check them out and take them for a spin. A canister is definitely the best option for you based on a 50/50 split.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best vacuum for 50/50 floors, 4000 sq feet ->What I was just going to suggest. It's a huge part of the reason I love them.
r/VacuumCleaners • Vacuum where you easily switch attachments and modes? ->I always recommend the 400 over the 600. The parts are all the same from the older kenmores so it makes finding parts way easier if ever need be. That said the 600 should still have the spot on the back of the canister where you can hang / dock the power head for storage with the hose and wand attached.
r/VacuumCleaners • Disappointed in the Kenmore 600 Canister Vac a year after purchase ->I don’t think so. I’ve had Dyson and Shark and the vacuum I have now is my ride or die: HEPA filter disposable bagged Kenmore.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->A canister with hepa filtration, long hose, and all of the attachments. My parents had a kenmore canister that was great for many years.
r/VacuumCleaners • Which vacuum cleaner for professional residential cleaning u.k? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
