You haven't said if you want upright or canister - but as far as uprights the Kenmore Intuition BU4000 series - specifically the BU4022 or BU4050 - are the most "real" of a vacuum you can currently get at that price point. Bagged upright with great filtration and a mostly solid build.
r/VacuumCleaners • Top vacuums in the $200 range? ->The Simplicity Allergy is a touch above that $200 mark with Black Friday sales and is my favorite budget machine for primarily carpet cleaning. If you can't stretch the extra dough take a look at the Kenmore Intuition line, BU4050 and BU4022 specifically. Both machines have all the accessories you need and cleaning wands.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best affordable bagged vacuum ->Every inexpensive vacuum with a flexible hose on the floor head is susceptible to this issue. It’s a $15 part, and it takes less than an hour to replace if it does split(which will be after several years of use if it does). The Intuition models are superior cleaning machines compared to your old Shark Rocket. Despite this known problem, it’s still a worthwhile replacement.
r/VacuumCleaners • I had my Shark Rocket vacuum for a decade. Absolutely loved it. The inner hosing has cracked open. What would be a similar yet decent upgrade vacuum for around $200? ->The best “affordable” bagged vacuum under 170 is the [Kenmore BU4020](https://amzn.to/48EPAzF) but your vet is right, you don’t want to keep re-introducing fleas back into your home.
r/VacuumCleaners • What are my best options if I need a bag vacuum for a very small apartment with very few outlets? ->Cordless vacuums are good for light cleaning but they lack the run time to clean a whole house and they lack the suction and agitation to deep clean carpets. Dysons are overpriced for what you get and their quality has gone way down. Sharks are best avoided, poor design, poor reliability, no repairability, and a warranty that excludes most of the vacuum. Important features: A corded vacuum is needed to clean your carpets. A bagged vacuum will last longer and be much cleaner to empty. Brushroll shutoff is best for hard floors. Hepa bags or a hepa filter is needed for good filtration. I'd look at the [Kenmore Intuition BU4022](https://www.amazon.com/Kenmore-Intuition-Lift-Away-Combination-HandiMate/dp/B08CXPQXL5/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=1IRU0GMV658E0&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.sV5rPxipSet8mTSNQOC2CKZjVUwBwndeLjZYV7OlenT1G5TjnIoTY86L60s2xwujOfLQVxtKW8mvL7fqqWDuU0OxsMALT5P9LSR7Kj7TwLI_xF8uZSlk2hydvoNUlP7aLH0iEniaLXSkRuws4rExcD_yK9wMqqXJEOhYbLNspWoK7M-v7eGUv8mxSsaqklzPL5Sj6NnLFE3aok-CHMHQNJR1eWqtNhiB5KprubfBSvE.sKo3mO5auAh77q7TCWmINyPFB8CdZ2jvy4nhcvBP2N8&dib_tag=se&keywords=kenmore%2Bvacuum&qid=1731790472&sprefix=kenmore%2Caps%2C205&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1) $159 and the other Intuition variants. It's a small upright vacuum so it isn't too heavy. It uses hepa bags which should last around 2 months each bag. It has swivel steering and brushroll shutoff for hard floors. It isn't the most durable bagged vacuum but it will last longer than most bagless vacuums and it's quite reasonable priced. You could also consider the [Kenmore Crossover DU3017](https://www.amazon.com/Kenmore-Crossover-Lift-Away-Handi-Mate-Adjustment/dp/B08KZQCHV5/ref=sr_1_20?crid=1IRU0GMV658E0&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.B4NNHNACdpYgn4UUjEGTvGLYifFg1uiQDrZZXBNkbKzGjHj071QN20LucGBJIEps.FhPMQH93eOr_7nmLxwvgaaRap1TjYQplzgKCTjXsWGo&dib_tag=se&keywords=kenmore+vacuum&qid=1731790957&sprefix=kenmore%2Caps%2C205&sr=8-20) $181. This is a medium sized upright vacuum with swivel steering and brushroll shutoff. It's a little better built than the Intuition but it's bagless so it's messier to empty and you'll need to regularly wash the filter. It has a longer hose. Both the Intuition and Crossover have liftaway mode. The Sebo Dart is the BIFL option but that costs $550.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best Budget to Mid-Level Price Range Vacuum ->I agree. For the budget and hard floors and lots of rugs I'd go with the Kenmore Intuition. It's a small upright vacuum with swivel steering and hepa bags. The bag only needs to be changed about once every 2 months. It isn't the most durable vacuum it should last 3-5 years, but it' should last longer than most bagless vacuums in this price range. It's light weight, it has brushroll shutoff for hard floors and there aren't too many other bagged vacuums with as many features.
r/VacuumCleaners • Lost in the Vacuum Aisle ->Check out the Kenmore Intuition BU4022 and BU4055 $150-180. These are small corded upright vacuums. They’re as narrow as the Rocket, corded is good power, hepa bags for better filtration. Overall it’s only a little heavier to pickup but since the motor is lower the handle weight is actually lighter than the Rocket. Liftaway mode and the hose will make using attachments easier. Downsides are the build quality is the same as your vacuum. Thoughts.
r/VacuumCleaners • I had my Shark Rocket vacuum for a decade. Absolutely loved it. The inner hosing has cracked open. What would be a similar yet decent upgrade vacuum for around $200? ->I don't recommend buying any cordless vacuum in used condition. The most expensive part to replace is the battery and you don't know what condition the battery is in and how much longer it will last. Many cordless vacuums have fixed batteries so the whole vac is useless when the battery wears out. If you know the seller and it's a new-in-box or barely used cordless vacuum check that everything works and the exhaust doesn't smell bad. The battery adds so much to the cost of a vacuum that $150 gets you a pretty cheaply made cordless vacuum. I'd either spend a little more on the LG CordZero A913BM $199 or save some money and get a small corded vacuum like the Kenmore Intuition $150-200 but they always go on sale for less. The Vacmaster UB0302E $99 is a Kenmore Intuition without the liftaway mode.
r/VacuumCleaners • Used Dyson v8 Absolute ->There are cordless stick vacuums with stronger suction like Dyson, LG, and Samsung, but they really aren't more durable. Parts availability is spotty. I don't think any cordless stick vacuum has enough agitation to replace a corded vacuum for cleaning carpets other than a few battery powered uprights. I think maybe a different tact. A lightweight corded vacuum will give you better cleaning power and reliability. The Lindhaus Valzer Eco Green $799 is a light weight upright vacuum, it's lighter than a Sebo Felix. The Lindhaus has swivel steering, brushroll shutoff for hard floors, it's reliable, and very repairable. A different option is the Kenmore Intuition $150-180, its a small light upright vacuum. It's the same size as a Shark Navigator but it uses hepa bags. The suction will be stronger and it will clean carpets better than a cordless vacuum. The Intuition is on the smaller side it's only as wide as a cordless vacuum. It isn't very durable 3-5+ years but it will last longer than most cordless vacuums. The parts availability is pretty bad which makes sense given the lower price. If I had to pick a cordless stick vacuum I'd go for an LG CordZero Kompressor. Good suction, poor carpet agitation, easy to maintain. Many models come with 2 batteries and a charging stand. There are parts but they're expensive when available. Single brushroll powerheads are more reliable across all brands. Thoughts?
r/VacuumCleaners • RYOBI Stick Vacs Are downright awful, need advice on replacement ->I don't know why people recommend the Kenmore intuition. I tried it, and the suction was so weak, it was shocking. Maybe people don't trealize how bad it is? In addition, there is no manual carpet height adjustment. It was weaker than our stick vacuum on high. Returned it.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best bagged vacuum under $200 ->i’d say go for a vacuum like the kenmore intuition if you’re looking for something under $200
r/VacuumCleaners • What’s the Best Affordable Vacuum That Actually Works? ->A lot of people on here work in vacuum shops, either managing them or as technicians repairing vacuums. We are all telling you that Shark / Dyson are garbage and you have to spend a fair amount to get a decent vacuum that will last you 4+ years. If you have all hardwood floors or some very low pile carpet, get a SEBO K2/E2, or a Miele suction only model. If you have carpet that is fairly high pile, you are kind of forced to spend a decent amount for a E3 or K3 type vacuum. If you don’t want to spend that much, Kenmore makes some halfway decent vacuums like the Intuition or Pop N Go that are fairly affordable with an electric head. I don’t know why most of your replies to people are you arguing with people whose literal job it is to work with vacuums about what is good and what’s not.
r/VacuumCleaners • Why does it feel like finding a vacuum is an impossible task ->I do not recommend the eureka power speed. It does not have a legitimate filtration system and will blow dust right back into the air. Shark isn’t the most recommended machine on this market but some are far better than others. The Navigator Lift-Away NV350 series or NV360 (Walmart) are actually decent cleaners inexpensive if maintained properly. There’s a few things to keep an eye on and they can last quite a long time. 1. Keep the lint screen in the dust bin clean. Hair can sometimes wrap around it. It’s easy to access through the top of the bin. 2. Keep the brush roll free of hair. There is a built-in groove that allows you to easily cut hair. 3. Filters. Purchase a jumbo pack online for $20. Wash the foam and felt pre-motor filters once a month and just replace them every 3. Do not wash the post motor HEPA filter, and replace every 6 month I’ve found these to work well on carpet and hard floor. There is a suction reducing valve on the hose handle that makes it work well on tricky rugs. The Kenmore Intuition upright is another great inexpensive choice. It’s bagged and eliminates the hassle of constant bagless maintenance. Also look at a Kenmore 200 or 400 series canister. Canisters are better for lots of different floor surfaces. You can get a Kenmore pet powermate mini power nozzle that fits the 200 / 400 for extra tough stuff and the fitting it uses is generic so lots of attachments will work with it. I think this is probably going to be your best bet. The 400 series goes on sale online for $220 if you can stretch
r/VacuumCleaners • Lost in the Vacuum Aisle ->Good place to start is SEBO Felix and Dart. I’m also A fan of the oreck power team: an oreck elevate series upright and a compact canister. Less expensive options that work well for small spaces and are more affordable: kenmore Intuition. It’s bagged, and does well on hard floor and carpet. Unfortunately there aren’t tons of bagged options that are compact and upright. Plenty of canisters though.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best bagged vacuum for pet hair and allergies ->Skip bagless. They don’t clean well, last long or filter well. Kenmore elite or intuition bu4050
r/VacuumCleaners • Best upright corded vacuum for under $300? ->Definitely don’t buy a $75 cordless vacuum. It will be in the trash before the New Year then you’ll be looking to replace it, wasting even more money. If you can stretch slightly (a bit). Keep an eye out for Black Friday sales for a Hoover Complete performance or Kenmore intuition. Agreed with Performance reviews - used is a great option for that budget. A used Miele, Sebo, Oreck or Sanitare
r/VacuumCleaners • Any ideas for good vacuums $75 or less? ->That’s going to be a really tough price point. Cheapest I can think of is a Kenmore Intuition (bagged) not bagless
r/VacuumCleaners • Budget Bagged Vacuum Recommendation for Tile Floor/High-Pile Carpet (US) ->I wouldn’t seriously consider any shark. They’re junk. I prefer the Kenmore version of the intuition over the vacmaster. the lift away is nice for getting stairs and furniture. Worth the premium alone. And depending on which intuition model they all come with slightly different attachments. I’d say use it and see what you need to add for your use case. If you have pet fur on couches etc a turbo attachment might be nice to add.
r/VacuumCleaners • Budget Bagged Vacuum Recommendation for Tile Floor/High-Pile Carpet (US) ->Canisters aren’t that much more bulky, in my opinion. The 31150 is a good one or the Intuition. Note: the 31150 is 20ish lbs so it’s on the heavy side.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best vac for pets and carpet ->Kenmore Intuition is what you're looking for then. Under $200, has good performance with good size bags, and has brushroll shuf-off control so it works great on hard floors.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best bagged vacuum under $200 ->It's a great vacuum, I think you'll be very happy with it.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best bagged vacuum under $200 ->I've been using a Kenmore intuition. It's under $200 and picks up dog hair, kid crumbs, etc really well. 2 bedrooms have carpet, the rest of the house is hardwood.
r/VacuumCleaners • What's best vacuum for hardwood floors? ->Go for a Kenmore Intuition. It's compact and will actually last. Avoid Bissell.
r/VacuumCleaners • Are cheaper amazon cordless vacuums ever worth getting? ->The Kenmore intuition is $199.99CAD at Walmart, and it does a good job on both low and high pile carpets.
r/VacuumCleaners • Vacuum Cleaner Recommendation for Carpets (Canada) ->Kenmore intuition just got mine 5 year warranty $160 on Amazon free shipping HEPA for allergies. It's bagged and corded but it's a million times better then my Dyson.
r/VacuumCleaners • I find choosing vacuum cleaners really overwhelming ->Never buy a Bissell. While their higher end models have excellent filtration (HEPA filters and sealed systems) the only problem is you can't wash them. Every Bissell I've had, I find if you wash their "washable" filters, they stink after. Like the exhaust will smell like wet musky dog. So it's best to replace them. Never had experience with Hoover. But both Bissell and Hoover are low quality compared to Shark, Dyson and Miele. Dysons offer great raw suction, however I don't care for the canisters. After a period of use, you'll have to clean those cyclones as they'll get full of dust. Also, they aren't that good on high pile carpeting or rugs (they're difficult to handle on high pile carpeting and they tend to get door rugs sucked up into the brush roll). I used to run Sharks. I actually collected a few. I had an old model I salvaged that worked good on carpets, I had one of the first powered lift aways. That was my all time favorite because it worked the best especially on carpets of all heights, not good on door rugs because the rug would get stuck in the brush roll due to the suction, did well on hard floors, not as good as their duo clean models. I had 2 different duo cleans (one powered lift away one not) you definitely want the powered lift away model. It'll clean under your beds unlike the regular lift away (I had the la500 that wasn't a powered lift away, I loved it. The power fins don't get hair tangles like a traditional brush roll and the duo clean cleaned my hard floors amazing, but the powered lift away I'd use to clean under beds) one of the best things about the power fins is vacuuming your mattress. If you've never done this, then I'd highly recommend the Shark Vertex or Stratos. You'll be absolutely disgusted at what it pulls out your mattress. I no longer use a bagless vacuum though. I recently had the privilege of salvaging a mid 90s Oreck. When I salvage and fix a vacuum, I always would test it on my carpet and see how it preforms against my Shark Nv752 and if they'd do well I'd keep them (sometimes I'd sell them if I didn't want it), well I used the Oreck first then went behind it with the Shark nv752 and the canister was empty. So I was disappointed my shark wasn't as good as a bagged vacuum. I bought a Kenmore Intuition and put it up against my nv752 and it also did better than the Shark. So I ended up selling 3 of my sharks and gave the 752 to my grandmother to replace her old shark nv501. She loves it and she says it's good enough for her needs and it worked better than her old one. The good thing about going to a good quality bagged vacuum is not having to clean the filters ever month and not having to dump the canister after every use. So far (after 4 months of having the Oreck and Kenmore), I rather the Oreck for carpets and I rather their HEPA bags because you get literally no smell. The Kenmore I find will have a bit of a smell after sitting up between uses. However I suck up some downy crystals every so often, but they make special odor elimination tablets for bagged vacuums. So they are pretty much low maintenance compared to bagless. Idk your budget, but if I were in your shoes, these are the exact 2 vacuums I'd recommend for you: the Shark AZ2002 Vertex (if you want bagless, comes with a crevice tool, dusting/upholstery tool and I do believe it comes with an air powered turbo tool) or the Kenmore 81615 (if you want bagged, it's a canister vacuum so it'll be lighter for you to handle and great accessories. It comes with a multi floor power head, a hard floor only attachment, crevice tool, dusting brush and a motorized mini brush roll - a motorized version of a turbo tool). Both would be great multi floor options, the advantage of the shark vertex is the power fins so no hair tangled brush roll, and it'll clean your mattress amazing, the advantage of the Kenmore is you have 2 floor cleaning tools so it'll be better of a multi surface cleaner and it has a motorized turbo tool instead of air powered compared to the Shark. If you want one for the shark you have to buy it separately for like 40- 50 dollars. Price wise, the Shark AZ2002 costs about $420, the Kenmore costs $312 (prices brand new on Amazon). Personally if I were you, I'd go with the Kenmore for the better accessories and slightly cheaper price. Plus no big box store sells them. You have to get it via Amazon or on the Kenmore website. I hope this info helps and sorry it was so much lol. Please let me know what you chose to get and I'd love to hear how it works for you
r/VacuumCleaners • Looking for the Best Vacuum Cleaner that Actually Lasts? ->we have 2 cats, one with long hair and one with short hair but sheds much more than the long hair one. we have 600 sq ft of medium pile carpet in our house (2 bedrooms, hallway, and stairs). we used to go through decent bagless vacuums every year and just got tired of how gross it was to empty it and clean the filters. the suction would be awful after just one pass over the carpet, and i vacuum every day because i can’t live otherwise!! well now we have a bagged kenmore intuition and we are never getting a bagless vacuum again. the bags take months to fill and there is absolutely no mess and it has way better suction than a bagless. you can go to the vacuums subreddit and they will help you. it doesn’t need to be the exact vacuum we have, but dump bagless altogether. they suck, in the bad way lmao
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->I own an embarrassing amount of vacuum cleaners. My Kirby is my absolute favorite!! However, a part fell off it and I misplaced it. I didn’t want to spend a ton so I just bought a Kenmore Intuition and I’m really impressed how well in works on both my wood floors and carpeted rooms. Plus it weighs a fraction of what my Kirby does
r/VacuumCleaners • Good vacuums for hard floors? ->Get a Kenmore Intuition.
r/VacuumCleaners • Vacuum for Small Apartment (less than 700 sqft) ->I just bought a Kenmore Intuition at about that price point. Hadn't used a vacuum with a bag in years but so far I am really happy with it particularly at this price point. (Hard wood floors with rugs, tile in kitchen and bath)
r/VacuumCleaners • Budget friendly but effective vacuum ->Adding that I have a "house rabbit" who is molting right now and it works well with all the fur
r/VacuumCleaners • Budget friendly but effective vacuum ->I love my kenmore intuition!
r/VacuumCleaners • I am feeling so overwhelmed trying to find a vacuum, help please. ->They are high maintenance in that you have to clean and change filters frequently. Dumping out the dust cup is also a pain. If you truly want something easy get a bagged machine like a Kenmore Intuition.
r/VacuumCleaners • Is shark a good choice if I don't plan on repairing my vacuum? ->Never had a Dyson — bought a Kenmore intuition bagged last fall for a fraction of the price and I really like it. Also have a cheap cordless vacuum from Amazon, definitely does the job way better than a broom for quick clean ups and daily dog hair sweeps.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->Kenmore Intuition bagged vacuum. Anything without a bag is just more mess and cleaning with pets. Used them for years and went through 3 sharks.
r/dogs • Recommend me a vacum cleaner. (not robot vacum please) ->I have a Kenmore Intuition and it’s been fantastic. I looked into the German brands, but couldn’t justify paying $1k for a vacuum.
r/dogs • Best vacuum for pet hair? ->I’ve been using a Kenmore Intuition daily since adopting my dog. It’s been a workhorse and I’d 100% recommend it. A carpet rake may also help if the hair is intertwined with the carpet fibers.
r/dogs • House cleaning advice for dog hair (Golden Retriever) ->Just bought the kenmore intuition based on recs here and I love it!
r/VacuumCleaners • I am feeling so overwhelmed trying to find a vacuum, help please. ->Kenmore Intuition with the brushroll hair cutting thingy
r/VacuumCleaners • Looking for a recommendation for a bagless pet hair vacuum ->I have that Kenmore Intuition upright vacuum... It's freaking great!
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->Intuition it is. Appreciate you taking the time!
r/VacuumCleaners • Lost in the Vacuum Aisle ->I’m going to go for the Intuition! Thank you for taking the time to help me out!
r/VacuumCleaners • Lost in the Vacuum Aisle ->I bought the kenmore intuition a year ago. I love the suction, but unfortunately the hose has not held up. I vacuum daily (4 young kids, a dog, 4 cats plus we foster cats and now have 7 personal cats…this spring we had 14 kittens…it was insanity!). So daily hard floor vacuuming with a small hallway runner is a necessity. The hose keeps splitting at the handle, and no matter how often I electrical tape it, it keeps splitting more and more into the handle where I cannot tape. So now when I vacuum, I’m getting sandblasted in the face with dirty cat litter. Lovely. Also my magnetic wand connection randomly gives out, so the whole vacuum comes apart when I try to pull back while vacuuming. I loved it for about 4-6 months and now I hate the stupid thing. To me…a waste of money. I got 13-14 months out of it and am now searching for a better bagged upright vacuum. I also would have preferred a light on the wand (like the shark rocket has) but that’s just preference
r/VacuumCleaners • Best bagged vacuum under $200 ->Got a kenmore intuition bagged upright for $180 about a month ago and I'm really happy with it. It's pretty well recommended in that price range. It might not be one of the "buy once cry once" brands that "will last your whole life". But I've been really happy with it's cleaning ability and it's a well sealed hepa unit that won't just throw dust everywhere.
r/VacuumCleaners • Need new vacuum- 200 budget ->Fair enough, I've already conceded that, though. This is my first hepa/bagged vaccum. Would I spend $700 on something we could maintain & repair in the future? Maybe. But that wasn't in the cards right now. I have faith it will last long enough while still sticking to a tight budget. Just needed to clean my floors without spitting dust everywhere :)
r/VacuumCleaners • Need new vacuum- 200 budget ->Get a bagged kenmore canister.
r/VacuumCleaners • I am feeling so overwhelmed trying to find a vacuum, help please. ->I would strongly suggest a Kenmore bagged canister on Amazon. Not too pricey and bagged is MUCH better for allergies and pet owners
r/VacuumCleaners • Looking for advice on what to get, Ontario Canada ->I'm shocked Kenmore bagged canisters aren't more popular. Ours has been an absolute workhorse for over a decade and it's still strong as hell
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->My Kenmore would like a word with you. Absolute unit and hardy as hell
