I’ve been using a LEVOIT LVAC-300 for a while now, and it’s worked out really well for me, especially for quick daily cleanups on mixed flooring. Battery life has been fine for smaller spaces, and I appreciate being able to switch it into handheld mode for tighter areas. If you haven’t seen it yet, another redditor put together a [big comparison of vacuums](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jcYjwx_fqSUOVxAn4F_UbbskkHCNPiPU48CZRgM4eAg/edit?usp=sharing) that lets you sort all the stick models side by side. That made it way easier for me to figure out what fit my needs without just going on brand hype.

I got the Levoit LVAC-300 and I’m pretty obsessed with it. It’s sleek, pretty, convenient, and not too loud. I can’t say to how much worse it is than a corded but it picks up all the mess I want it to pick up and extra dust with it so it’s great for me. It has a HEPA filter and attachments don’t take up too much room

Levoit LVAC 300 cordless $269 on Amazon. I have 2 huskies and all hardwood floors. My Dyson V8, which clogged all the time, bit the dust. This vacuum is 10x better than the Dyson. While the canister isnt any bigger, it is easier to empty (it comes completely off the vacuum) and hasnt clogged yet. It has a battery % display, 3 power settings, a fantastic crevice tool, lightweight and solidly built, and has a light. I didnt think the light was a big deal but when you vacuum with the overhead lights off, you see ALL the doggie hair. The vacuum also stands up on its own. I vacuum our upstairs which is roughly 1300 sf on low power and have tons of battery life left. At low power, it picks up all dog hair and anything they track in. Since the vacuum is so light, vacuuming stairs isnt a problem. Highly recommend!

Levoit LVAC 300 for $269 on Amazon. I have 2 huskies and hardwood floors when my Dyson cordless died. I bought this one not expecting much but it is much, much better than my Dyson. Solidly built, shows what % of battery left, 3 power settings, lightweight, an easy to open and empty canister (not big), has a great suction tool for baseboards and ceilings, stands up on its own, has a light (you can see ALL the dog fur with the vacuum light on and the overhead light off and best of all it vacuums dog hair like a champ. And it doesn’t clog! My Dyson V8 was always clogging. Highly, highly recommend this cordless vacuum cleaner.

I can say the same for Miele, I live in Europe, you will not sell me Miele. Miele cordless sticks are overpriced, inconvenient to use and underpowered (good budget stick like Levoite lvac-200/300 will do the same job).

I have it for 1 month only, but I'm very satisfied with it. The build quality is solid, it doesn't feel and look cheap. Filtration system is really amazing. If you have hard floor only or few low pile carpets you will not regret :)

Cordless vacs are super handy for day-to-day cleanups (and for keeping cords out of toddler hands 😅), but I’d definitely hang onto your main vacuum for deeper cleans. I grabbed a cordless LEVOIT mostly for quick runs, and it’s been a game-changer for little messes, but it doesn’t replace the full-sized one. (I have pets, too.) If you’re still deciding, check out the epic post another redditor put together that [compares all the brands and models](https://www.reddit.com/user/lacking_foyer48/comments/1lj76h3/vacuum_cleaners_compared_comprehensive_datasheet/). You can actually sort by type, which makes it easy to line up the cordless options. Just be careful… some of them have really short runtimes, so it’s worth scrolling through the spreadsheet and comparing the listed battery life before making a decision.

Check out Levoit. They’re not on here but I got a cordless vacuum from them for maybe 200 bucks and it works just as well as it did when I got it 4 years ago

There’s no single vac that does it all except for maybe a super heavy super expensive traditional canister like a Miele. For an everyday hard floor vac (and light carpet vac) the best is Levoit on Amazon that's about $200. It's a Dyson-like machine that overcomes a lot of the longtime design issues with Dysons (such as, it can stand up by itself -- what a concept). But we also keep the Dyson around for a more aggressive carpet vac when we need it. We also have a Eureka boss -- powerful and dependable small canister vac. And a monster shop vac in the basement. Dysons are great but they're really expensive and their air filtering system is overly complicated and tends to lose efficiency. If you own a Dyson, watch all the available Youtubes on how to clean it with pressurized air so you can keep it running. Given the competition from newer manufacturers like Levoit, I think it's going to be harder for Dyson to justify selling floor vacs for close to $1000.
