Ive had the 18volt dust buster, the 6gallon 18v vacuum, and the 3 gallon 18v. They are all lackluster in performance. I got a makita 18v dust buster almost 8yrs ago and it’s still going great.
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->To be honest, this is one of the few things where I would recommend Bosch over Makita.. Their GAS 18V-1 works better than both Makita LXT vacuums I have owned previously (XLC07 & DCL180Z). Most of my tools are Makita but in my opinion their vacuums just don't have good suction power. You can get a Makita 18V to Bosch Blue/professional battery converter for less than 20$. Don't get me wrong, the Makitas work fine for small DIY jobs here and there, but I would recommend them for work. If you already have some 40V batteries, Makita XGT vacuums would do much better.
r/Makita • Makita vacuums for home use ->I have 2 of these 18v models, the dcl 184 and the handheld dcl 284. The best of them is the handheld dcl284, it has good power, enough accessories, etc. I also have the Bosch that is 20v that has a double cyclone and is much more powerful but it does require frequent cleaning of the filter
r/Makita • Vacuum Cleaners 18x vs 28x ->I'm already in the Makita ecosystem so I went with that one. It's been great
r/askcarguys • Good wireless car vacuum cleaner? ->18v makita handheld works great on dog hair and spilled food
r/VanLife • Anyone got a little vacuum for their van that actually works? ->Makita 18v vacuum... They've got a few but there car cleaning one is good.
r/VanLife • Anyone got a little vacuum for their van that actually works?
r/nederlands • Over welke stofzuiger ben jij tevreden? ->I tried the "New LXT" next to the XGT before buying. The XGT has a considerably less annoying sound profile... this is way more significant than it sounds, especially for wife/gf approval factor The LXT is kinda whiny and annoying sounding. According to your numbers, the XGT has 17% higher suction and 20% higher airflow. In practice I did find this extra power significant. u/trickster2, you say Dyson is better but I dont agree. (I DO have a Dyson v11), the power head fell apart after a year and if you are using it on high the battery lasts a pitiful \~6-8min then takes forever to charge. (and the battery & motor are unreliable POS, requried several replacements) With the Makita you can cycle batteries and clean continuously. In practice I have several batteries but only need to cycle 2 for vacuum use.
r/VacuumCleaners • What would be the best vacuum that uses cordless tool batteries *not propriety batteries just for the vacuum itself* ->works so good my wife stole it from me i got the 18v came in the makita tool bundle. used it for my truck for awhile then my wife seen and had the long tube she took it and use it for the house. it has better power than most vacuum i have a ton of 18 v battery that i don’t use. i transfer over the 40v and i think the 40 v vac has more power in my opinion but she swears by the 18v
r/Makita • Stick vaccuum cleaner with bags any good? ->I loved the 18v one that we use at home enough that I bought one for my jobsite. They aren't full fledged vacuum cleaners. They're a really excellent version of a dust buster that work remarkably well, for their size. That's all.
r/Makita • Stick vaccuum cleaner with bags any good? ->The 180/181/182 are basically the same, just different switch designs. It's fine for quick cleanups in the kitchen, but it's not that powerful. There's a cyclone attachment you can get for it that makes it work better and doesn't clog up the filter as fast, but it adds girth to the whole unit and it's pretty shit anyway because it's friction fit attachment. It doesn't attach too tightly so eventually it works itself loose and falls off while you're vacuuming. The low tech solution is to duct tape around the pipe so that it's a tighter fit. Don't need to tape both parts together. Pony up for the 280/282/284/286 brushless and you'll be much happier in the long run I only got my 180 from a Christmas sale deal last year because I didn't feel like spending too much money on it. I kind of regret that choice. Don't make that mistake I did
r/Makita • Vacuum Cleaners 18x vs 28x ->Cordless stick vacuums are all more or less disposable, even the expensive ones. The designs are updated frequently and are not made to be repaired, even if you’re able to find parts. I have a Makita cordless which should last a while for quick jobs, but it’s not very powerful. My home vacuum is a 15 year old Miele Swing H1 stick vacuum. It’s corded, but light and powerful, and the bags make everything so much cleaner and more convenient. Personally, I find the cord less annoying than charging. My parents’ heavily used Sebo Airbelt D1 canister vacuum is around 20 years old. Both work perfectly. If I were in the market for a new vacuum, I would buy a Sebo as they are super durable, easily repaired, and very well designed. If I were on a budget, I’d purchase a used Miele. If you want something older, vintage Electrolux vacuums are great once the inevitable deferred maintenance is taken care of. We have a canister vacuum from the seventies at one house and an upright from the nineties at another, both of which are going strong, and both of which have bags and many spare parts readily available.
r/BuyItForLife • The BIFL Vacuum Market is Annoying Me: help! ->I have the makita cordless vacuum. It’s great, cheap and really light (also comes in pink btw). Purchased in The Netherlands
r/Rabbits • (Europe) Best cordless vacuum cleaner for 4 rabbits? ->For corded, I have an Irish Ohyama model of some variety I bought 9 years ago that still does the job just fine when needed (though we mostly use a Makita cordless these days since it's more convenient).
r/japanresidents • Need your Vacuum Cleaner rec.
