I have the cl282, cl285 and a cl002. I use them mostly for vacuuming up hair and other visable particles from non-carpeted floors. Sometimes I use them on sawdust with the external cyclone attachment. These vacs serve me well in those applications. The 40v is the best but if you’re on 18v then the 285 is noticeably stronger and has better sound quality than the 282.
r/Makita • Stick vaccuum cleaner with bags any good? ->I've got this. I bought it for small cleanups and for things like stairs. But now also use it to vacuum the whole house, mostly because of the little noise it makes. I can listen to a podcast whilst vacuming without using noise cancellation, which is great.
r/Makita • Stick vaccuum cleaner with bags any good? ->Just don't. It's not worth upgrading to this one. They are more powerful but have terrible noise and bags just suck. Go for 284 model, it is quieter, much more powerful, it can skip a lot of cleaning and still be more powerful than older models. Btw, if you have trouble with cleaning thin cloth filter - try HEPA, it is much harder to clog with fine dust.
r/Makita • Stick vaccuum cleaner with bags any good? ->I mean, I would never have gotten one, but a friend didnt like the one he got so gave it to me, I fuckin love it personally, the bag is tiny, the suction isn't amazing, BUT for what I use it for (mainly plaster dust and cleaning up after myself as I'm working) I absolutely adore it, light, easy to use, don't have to bend over, just a handy little piece of gear. Again if you're wanting to use it for heavier work, it's gonna be shit house, but for the little dusty cleanups as you're going this thing rips.
r/Makita • Stick vaccuum cleaner with bags any good? ->The 180/181/182 are basically the same, just different switch designs. It's fine for quick cleanups in the kitchen, but it's not that powerful. There's a cyclone attachment you can get for it that makes it work better and doesn't clog up the filter as fast, but it adds girth to the whole unit and it's pretty shit anyway because it's friction fit attachment. It doesn't attach too tightly so eventually it works itself loose and falls off while you're vacuuming. The low tech solution is to duct tape around the pipe so that it's a tighter fit. Don't need to tape both parts together. Pony up for the 280/282/284/286 brushless and you'll be much happier in the long run I only got my 180 from a Christmas sale deal last year because I didn't feel like spending too much money on it. I kind of regret that choice. Don't make that mistake I did

r/Makita • Vacuum Cleaners 18x vs 28x ->But it'll still be more powerful than the 180 with superior clip on attachments. The 286 is probably the way to go though because of its built in cyclone canister lol
r/Makita • Vacuum Cleaners 18x vs 28x ->I have the stick one with hard floor and carpet heads as well as the cyclone and use it to clean my home office. Works great.
r/Makita • Makita vacuums for home use ->I've got a LXT stick vac, it's amazing! I take it with me when I go away on holiday, cleans the car and even the camper! I've got a mate that just bought a Makita to Dyson battery adaptor that he says helps the short battery life with his Dyson...
r/Makita • Makita vacuums for home use ->The makita stick vac is for hard floors only just FYI it's pretty gutless tbh I still use it on my hard floors though
r/Makita • Makita vacuums for home use ->I'm already in the Makita ecosystem so I went with that one. It's been great
r/askcarguys • Good wireless car vacuum cleaner? ->Makita 18v vacuum... They've got a few but there car cleaning one is good.
r/VanLife • Anyone got a little vacuum for their van that actually works? ->works so good my wife stole it from me i got the 18v came in the makita tool bundle. used it for my truck for awhile then my wife seen and had the long tube she took it and use it for the house. it has better power than most vacuum i have a ton of 18 v battery that i don’t use. i transfer over the 40v and i think the 40 v vac has more power in my opinion but she swears by the 18v
r/Makita • Stick vaccuum cleaner with bags any good? ->I loved the 18v one that we use at home enough that I bought one for my jobsite. They aren't full fledged vacuum cleaners. They're a really excellent version of a dust buster that work remarkably well, for their size. That's all.
r/Makita • Stick vaccuum cleaner with bags any good? ->Cordless stick vacuums are all more or less disposable, even the expensive ones. The designs are updated frequently and are not made to be repaired, even if you’re able to find parts. I have a Makita cordless which should last a while for quick jobs, but it’s not very powerful. My home vacuum is a 15 year old Miele Swing H1 stick vacuum. It’s corded, but light and powerful, and the bags make everything so much cleaner and more convenient. Personally, I find the cord less annoying than charging. My parents’ heavily used Sebo Airbelt D1 canister vacuum is around 20 years old. Both work perfectly. If I were in the market for a new vacuum, I would buy a Sebo as they are super durable, easily repaired, and very well designed. If I were on a budget, I’d purchase a used Miele. If you want something older, vintage Electrolux vacuums are great once the inevitable deferred maintenance is taken care of. We have a canister vacuum from the seventies at one house and an upright from the nineties at another, both of which are going strong, and both of which have bags and many spare parts readily available.
r/BuyItForLife • The BIFL Vacuum Market is Annoying Me: help! ->I have the makita cordless vacuum. It’s great, cheap and really light (also comes in pink btw). Purchased in The Netherlands
r/Rabbits • (Europe) Best cordless vacuum cleaner for 4 rabbits? ->For corded, I have an Irish Ohyama model of some variety I bought 9 years ago that still does the job just fine when needed (though we mostly use a Makita cordless these days since it's more convenient).
