I have this one and honestly it’s insanely good. https://www.betta.com.au/miele-blizzard-cx1-cat-dog-bagless-vacuum-cleaner-autumn-red-1100w-706446?gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21755795433&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxL7GBhDXARIsAGOcmIOf7cyQztqDPH6rnHsU6eqtWSCqvJ-kqpRSh1pOwGep094GYuaGNuAaAny0EALw_wcB
Definitely check out the Miele brand which others have suggested. Soooooooo easy to use and mine has a dedicated furniture cleaning tool included, so I do my couch, bed base and the 2 cat trees.
The one I linked also is bagless, although it is corded. I’m sure they have a couple of options. I also used Afterpay to pay in instalments, which just made it nicer hahaha.
The canister is not noticeable at all. Like at all. Its in the main body on the floor and the wand is high quality. Floor unit is the same size and weight as any bag type unit. Empty canister and clean filter in 5 seconds at trash can. Best vacuum ive ever owned. On year 9 with kids dog and cats, works as good as day one. Got the pet specific model would buy again but probably won't need to for another decade.
Meile cat and dog c1x blizzard. Bought equivalent meile 9 years ago and it works sooooo well. Canister means no bag purchases, easy to clean, powerful suction. Before this we had many vacuums including Bosch and Dyson etc.. all were disappointing. Meile makes good vacs, wish id spent the money on a real vacuum way earlier but im glad i finally did. Would buy again but probably won't need to for another decade at least since it works as good as when I bought it.
I had a miele because my parents had one of over 20 years. Mine (blizzard cx1) however barely made it to 5. Had to disassemble and clean the head so often, then had to buy a replacement one. The plastic bit on the handle broke off. The engine and suction power is great, the hardware is inferior. It was one of the most disappointing purchases of my life.
I used to have the miele cx1 and while it is absolutely fantastic, the plastic parts are a let down. Now we have shark navigator and while bulky, it is incredible. So much suction power, big canister, lightweight and easy to manoeuvre.
I have the Miele Blizzard CX1, I bought it 7 years ago on sale and it has been fantastic. I had tried a bagged Miele and it was amazing, so I was weighing up whether I wanted to go that route but I was worried about sourcing bags so I went with this instead. I had tried a friend's Dyson before buying this and was not impressed so I'm very happy I went with a Miele.
This is probably a silly question and I promise I don't mean to be condescending asking it, but the filters on the blizzard are a bit hidden. You've found the compartment situated behind the dust container which contains the big round filter with folds right? That's the main thing which needs to be cleaned out. Just want to make sure theres not a quick fix to get it working a little better for you. Otherwise the other comments are correct, the bagged models are generally better. And I don't recommend the turbo brush head for any serious carpet cleaning, motorized heads are far better.
Sebo or miele if you want something high quality which will actually last 15+ years and be repairable should a part wear out. They have high performance and filtration standards. The shark is fine for 3 to 5 years with decent performance. The dyson, being cordless, you should only expect 2-4 years. And it won't have the performance of the others unless used on it's highest but shortest runtime mode. Kinda comparing apples to oranges here. If you need something immediately the shark is probably ok, but if you want something to last definitley go check out miele and sebo.
Miele blizzard. It’s an ‘old school’ style but bagless and the best vacuum I’ve ever used (Dyson is absolutely overrated). Sticks don’t cut it and the rollers irk me too. Forever cutting hair out of it and always end up reverting to the blizzard when I want to do a proper job. I also find that the ones with the roller, they kick back stuff on hard floor? And when you turn it off, suction doesn’t feel as intense? With the Miele, I make sure the bristles on the head are on (manual press the button down) when I use it on rugs and carpet. This thing ends up with SO much hair inside the capsule, it absolutely does its job. Also side note, when I purchased the lady said the bagged ones will always have the best suction, so food for thought. I just CBF so went the bagless option and I really rate it.
