I use a Miele Blizzard CX1-cat and dog power line. It’s an amazing vacuum.
Yeah, my Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog is amazing. Dealt with my husky of a girlfriend without fear or trepidation. I love it.
Hahahahaha. Yeah - this. Though I would definitely not say any of it was bad. It's just that hair past her ass was not vacuum friendly, but the CX1 handled it like a champ.
My first "adult" purchase was a Miele Blizzard CX1 Homecare. It was ~$1,000 USD about 8 years ago. I used to think Dyson was the king of vacuums, but Miele is on a different level.
I used to have the miele cx1 and while it is absolutely fantastic, the plastic parts are a let down. Now we have shark navigator and while bulky, it is incredible. So much suction power, big canister, lightweight and easy to manoeuvre.
I had a miele because my parents had one of over 20 years. Mine (blizzard cx1) however barely made it to 5. Had to disassemble and clean the head so often, then had to buy a replacement one. The plastic bit on the handle broke off. The engine and suction power is great, the hardware is inferior. It was one of the most disappointing purchases of my life.
They do but most do not recommend. Cx1 blizzard and I think some compact version of that as well.
Agreed, no to the CX line. Miele tried, they did okay, still not as good as the C line.
Same, I'm obsessed with mine and it handles the hair from my dogs like it's nothing. Thing could suck the paint off the walls if I were so inclined. Maybe OP's one is clogged or faulty?
The airstorm, while good, is no better than a miele or sebo. I wouldn't pay the premium. Mieles and sebos are also sealed to trap dust. They are also more modern in design and easier to use (they have cord rewind while the air storm does not). There's nothing really bespoke about the airstorm. Underneath the top shell, the power nozzle is the same as ones avaliable for Miele models. The hose and other tools are generic off-the-shelf supplies etc. While it would probably last you a long time and do a good job, you might resent using it. I'd strongly suggest you try one in person before choosing, and frankly I'd save money and go with a nicer to use miele/sebo.
This is probably a silly question and I promise I don't mean to be condescending asking it, but the filters on the blizzard are a bit hidden. You've found the compartment situated behind the dust container which contains the big round filter with folds right? That's the main thing which needs to be cleaned out. Just want to make sure theres not a quick fix to get it working a little better for you. Otherwise the other comments are correct, the bagged models are generally better. And I don't recommend the turbo brush head for any serious carpet cleaning, motorized heads are far better.
I had a Miele blizzard which was really powerful but eventually conked out. I then bought the Miele pet vac triflex HX2. Where do I start - suction is very mediocre and bag fills up very quickly, emptying very fiddly and has 4 separate components where pet hair and dirt clogs and needs to be manually removed -frustrating and a big warning - do not waste your money.
I bought a Miele Blizzard CX1 maybe 5 years ago and I couldn't recommend it more.
