"And while being just as if not more powerful than every other vacuum I've ever had it is quiet even at its maximum level. ... I can easily maintain a conversation without having to shout."

"Just on the noise alone I hate using my parent's Dyson and use their Miele instead."

"3 dog's and 3 cats with all carpet. ... that thing fuckin rips. ... it works too good and everytime I use it I have to take scissors and cut the hair that's caught around the head in the brushes but it's not the vacuums fault I have a fucking hobby farm on a carpet sooo."

"Miele! We have 9 cats and a dog. ... It cleans up pet messes"

"The power of that thing is unmatched. ... I wouldn’t buy anything else when it comes to heeler hair."

"It’s about 13 years old now, and still running just like when it was new."

"My current Miele is now 12 years old and it is still going strong."

"I’ve had one for about 17 years and I don’t see it dying anytime soon."

"The HEPA filter is easy to clean thanks to the little flicker dial thing I just pull it out hold it over the trash and go to town on that until the chunks stop coming out and when it gets too bad for that it's a washable filter."

"The C3 has a complete sealed system which is better than C1 if you have issues with allergies."

"I actually don’t see bagless as a positive. They objectively release a lot of contaminant’s into the air when emptying. ... With a good bagged vacuum, the bag helps filter the air and the bags last a long time."

"The other head without the spinner is fucking ridiculously strong. ... I cannot vacuum a rug with it because it sucks so hard. ... I have to hold one side down with my foot and pull away and it's still hard haha."

"Only if you have a few, small low pile rugs. The turbo head isn meant for carpeting."

"The cheapest ones don't even have a powered head for carpet so they're not good at that."

"horrifically expensive"

"price of replacement parts is a huge reason i recommend sebo vacuums. ... every time i have to look up a part for a miele vacuum i already know it ’s going to cost 3x-4x what it should."

"it also doesn't require bags that are several dollars each, and again, most importantly, makes vacuuming a LOT easier."

"The cord is quite long though."

"I’ve tried my families Miele canister when I lived with them and never got the hang of it. ... How do you manage the canister? We have a small space and based on my experience it seems like I would trip over it. Even when I tried it in a bigger place I still carried the canister around which was super annoying just to not trip on it ... The space is small enough that it has dead ends without enough space to turn around by pulling the canister. Is there a way that same concept can still be applied? We’re talking bedsides with only 1.5’ space, 4’ hallway with a litter box at the end, 5’ kitchen width with dead end."

"I'll be damned if I'm going to drag that thing up and down three floors regularly."

"Scratched the hardwood floors ... there is a sort of hook on the back which hits the floor when you're going under tables/beds"

I use a Miele Blizzard CX1-cat and dog power line. It’s an amazing vacuum.

Yeah, my Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog is amazing. Dealt with my husky of a girlfriend without fear or trepidation. I love it.

Hahahahaha. Yeah - this. Though I would definitely not say any of it was bad. It's just that hair past her ass was not vacuum friendly, but the CX1 handled it like a champ.

You turn off the power head from the handle on a Miele Not the suction control but realistically few have it on other than max, even if you are not supposed to

I actually think a Miele blizzard cat and dog may work well, I know recommending a bag less on here will get you crucified but my brother has one and they’re not gentle with it yet it still works great. If you have a lot of hair and solids to vacuum up you will fill up the bags rather quickly , though you will probably have to empty the bag less every time you vacuum

I have a Meile cat and dog hepa vacuum. More pricey than most but I’ve had it about six years now and it runs just as well today. Worth it.

Get a George and you can clean carpets too. Proper bagged with Hepa filters and it does the job. Great for emergencies too as it works as a wet vac. Just for reference I have a Miele Blizzard and a Roomba too. If you want something slightly less industrial, the Miele.

They do but most do not recommend. Cx1 blizzard and I think some compact version of that as well.

Any Miele will deal with fur, the cat dog is just a power head and their air clean filter which has carbon which helps with the animal smell. Otherwise, the C3 Kona (comes with HEPA filter instead of carbon filter) will be just fine for you. The C3 has a complete sealed system which is better than C1 if you have issues with allergies. Also, remember, you buy a Miele or Sebo…you’ll never buy a vacuum again. Any Miele is good though and most importantly, lightweight!

Agreed, no to the CX line. Miele tried, they did okay, still not as good as the C line.

Second this. Robot Vacuums have come along way but hair is hair is hair. If you’ve got long hair, even the best of the best full size vacs will struggle, especially on carpet. Miele for the win.

Highly recommend the pet vacuums from Miele. I have the Blizzard CX1 model and have been using it almost every day for my cleaning business for the last 4 years. It's taken dings and bruises and some plastic bits of the canister are prone to falling off, but it's never given me any problems. Consistent suction, and it's great for dealing with all the hair. One client of mine owns 4 corgis who shed like mad. I have to empty the canister twice per visit, but it never bogs down.

Same, I'm obsessed with mine and it handles the hair from my dogs like it's nothing. Thing could suck the paint off the walls if I were so inclined. Maybe OP's one is clogged or faulty?

The airstorm, while good, is no better than a miele or sebo. I wouldn't pay the premium. Mieles and sebos are also sealed to trap dust. They are also more modern in design and easier to use (they have cord rewind while the air storm does not). There's nothing really bespoke about the airstorm. Underneath the top shell, the power nozzle is the same as ones avaliable for Miele models. The hose and other tools are generic off-the-shelf supplies etc. While it would probably last you a long time and do a good job, you might resent using it. I'd strongly suggest you try one in person before choosing, and frankly I'd save money and go with a nicer to use miele/sebo.

This is probably a silly question and I promise I don't mean to be condescending asking it, but the filters on the blizzard are a bit hidden. You've found the compartment situated behind the dust container which contains the big round filter with folds right? That's the main thing which needs to be cleaned out. Just want to make sure theres not a quick fix to get it working a little better for you. Otherwise the other comments are correct, the bagged models are generally better. And I don't recommend the turbo brush head for any serious carpet cleaning, motorized heads are far better.
