I just bought a Miele at the Goodwill for $2. Two dollars.

It does work. Yesterday I took it apart and scrubbed every nook and cranny. It looks nice. My mother gave me her C6 a few years ago so I’m familiar with their quality. It really is true about people and their vacuum snobbery. My mother bought her Miele from a Vacuum shop. She has her vacuum customized with longer power cords and longer hoses. The shop places their sticker on all of her machines. She has a vacuum repair man 😂. I call my hand me down C6 my Ferrari Vacuum.

Yep that's why I put "some of" I've only seen one Kirby and fuck dragging that about the house for the same suction as a 5kg Miele :)

I bought the cheapest bagged corded vacuum from Miele that could be found in 2010, it is still running perfectly. Now most of my appliances are Miele.

Miele S series bagged vacuums are one of the GOAT imo. Ours has lasted years and if you buy generic bags, upkeep is a minimum

A straight suction Miele can last 20 plus

water does not filter very well as bubbles pop and unfiltered dust shoots through, get a miele or Sebobagged vacuum

You’re in the states we have rainbow water Vacuums until the last 20 years when they put HEPA filters on them they had a horrible filtration. I have a device that I can test that with. sorry I meant until they put the HEPA exhaust filter on them. They were very bad filtering.

I’m not sure what brands you have in Europe and I was thinking of a canister style Miele or SEBO

I’ve sold Miele for over 25 years. I’ve never seen that before. Why don’t you just let them give you another hose

If you get a Miele that won't happen

Prices in Europe are more reasonable for Miele, Sebo and the Henry. Miele S series, Sebo K series and Henry would be the models I'ld be looking at.

Miele is consistently rated as the best among impartial, professional reviewers & can be bought for $300-$500 depending on the model They last a long time as well. Personally I use a Samsung Bespoke Jet, mostly for the convenience factor of having a dust station & no long cables to deal with. We also have an old Miele S series that does a good job after almost a decade (motor overheats a tad though).

Used Miele S series are also really good value and reliable, plus repairs are super easy too.
