I have the first generation miele triflex and has been a workhorse for years now but i have a corded canister as well so i only use it a few times a week but the battery is the original one. The second generation triflex is a well built stick vacuum but they are a little pricey. Miele also makes a less expensive model as well. They have only been out for a short time so time will tell. Sebo also just released a inexpensive stick vacuum. I would definitely go to a local dealer and test drive them …

Miele triflex is a pretty solid stick I have had mine since its inception and have had no issues. I just like how it stands up by itself, has a slide switch so no more cramp in the finger. Easy to clean the brush roll. Just a great all around stick vacuum . Check your local dealer they may be on sale.. note no stick vacuum is going to do carpet extremely well. For that a plug in vacuum would be the best solution..

Miele or sebo both have a 2 year warranty and you can try them at a local dealer. They are built to be repaired if they break the miele triflex is the upper end of the line

I use a miele triflex. I have had it since it’s inception and it picks up after 2 cats and a dog with no issues. Note clean the brush roller regularly and the filter for best performance. A local dealer should have them on display and you can try them out.the cat and dog goes on sale 3-12 it will be 20% off

Just get a new piece and call it a day. That is a very rare thing to happen with a Miele I wouldn’t read too much into it.. it could happen with a 1300$ Sebo too…

I have got the Miele Triflex for several years now without any defects and like it very much. So far I also don't recognise any degradation of the battery. Also I prefer the white LED lighting over the green Dyson light.

We don't have pets, so I can't really comment on that. I have the first Triflex model (HX1) with only the bristle brush, which is ok with long hair but of course has some tangling but is easily cleanable. I think the current one (HX2) also comes with a special hard floor brush without bristles.

The duoflex is a good economic option. But what I like about the Triflex is that you can assemble the powerhead in a low position which takes most of the weight off the handle. I tried both and now only use it in this configuration.

My Miele Triflex hx1 is shit I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone — which model do you have?? I feel like I spent a fortune and bought the wrong gen

This is the one I most recently got Miele Triflex HX2 Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner, 120 min runtime, Infinity Grey PearlFinish / Rose Gold. The other one I still use is the HX1 but no longer sold. I think mine had a spare battery that upped the price and there might be different model levels or Black Friday sales that would make it little less pricey!

Get the Miele stick vacumn. I love mine so much I bought a second, now I have two. The Dyson was fine at first but I went through like 5 of them and finally switched to Miele

I recommend them, but not for whole-house cleaning. However, they’re incredibly handy for spot cleaning. My two favorites are the Miele Triflex HX2, and the Dyson V15 Detect. The HX2 is sturdier, with tighter tolerances, and its airflow on max speed rivals the V15 and Gen5 Detect. The V15’s laser floor head is amazing, and I’ve grown to love it. I bought the extension hose for it, and use it frequently for touch-up work after detailing a car for brief attachment use. However, it’s also worn down considerably and I don’t see it lasting for much longer, maybe another year or two before needing a new battery. The paint has worn off around the cyclone. I am considering buying an HX2 as a replacement when the time comes, but both are good machines. I think the HX3 is a much better deal when getting a discount on a holiday sale day. I prefer the filtration specs, quality feel, and versatility. It has more airflow than the HX1, which I also have. The HX2 is likely better at carpet cleaning and hard flooring while the Dysons are better with tools. You can get a heavy Dyson discount buying a “Dyson Remanufactured” unit from the Dyson Outlet online. The Miele is significantly easier to disassemble for repairs and service, while the Dyson is much more complex with a ton of screws and cheaply fitting trim.

Riccar R65 has two sets of hepa filters on it, come in a package for about $25 so you can replace them as often as you want. $499 Or the Miele Triflex series (not all models but majority) has really good filtration with a lifetime hepa filter around the motor. The hx2 series or hx1 cat and dog and up.
