I know you probably like 'm cord less and bag less, but the Nilfisk VP300R is such a solid workhorse. So now I own one for home use. At 5Kg it's surprisingly light for it's size, but robust. Easy to use and maintain. The R stands for recycle because 30% of this version is recycled plastic. The selling point for me is it has a potent 700W motor that can easily keep up with the other, more pricey, 900 and 1200W VP300 variants.

The VP300R (as well as the 900W "Thor" variant), including a set of 10 extra bags, will set you back €200. That is brand new. Not used. Not to one-up you, but so you understand why I did what you did.

Having used this around the house for a bit I'm completely smitten. This thing is a delight to work with. The hose connects with end parts that rotate independantly. If you've ever wrestled with the hose getting into a twist you can appreciate this. The telescope tube slides in and out buttery smooth. Thing ways about as much as my cat. Sucks like a 1200W motor, at just 700W. A quiet 700W. Everything just feels reliable and cooperative. Vacuming is NOT my hobby. So glad that I have this eager team player to get the friggin'job done with.

Attention to the little shit matters to me. If I put a hose into a Taski or a Numatic after changing the bag, all I get is "sorry you can't turn clockwise any further". That Nilfisk hose locks into place with a gratifying reasuring pop. Attention to the little shit matters to me.

Nilfisk VP300 range is a solid choice.

There's so much less that can go wrong with a VP300/400. Only two modes (on, off). No electromotor and battery powered rotating brush. There's threads praising the Mieles and Sebos, but also plenty of "shit broke down" troubleshooting requests involving both. As for cable management: if rolling op the cord is too tricky, just fold using more of a repeating S pattern, fold the result double one more time and stuff that under the handle grip.

I use nilfisk VP300 HEPA for work. We've had a few of them for 6+ years of daily use and abuse. Plenty of sucking power for hard floors, I like a gulper head. Easy to maintain too, easy to swap a motor out, easy to clean. Can be found for around $500 AUD in stores or online. It's a plug in drag-along bagged vacuum that will last a lifetime. I have 7 of them now for the business.
