I have a Henry Quick Pet that has been excellent for small stubborn black dog hair!
We went with this thank you! So far happy with it
Counter point, get a cordless Henry like this https://amzn.eu/d/a62NO4b
You can get cordless Henries. https://amzn.eu/d/a62NO4b This henry pet is what my wife and I went to after trying a corded and cordless Shark, and a dyson, both bagless, and having them all pack up due to the amount of dog hair and shite the gets into the filters. So far this henry pet is a god send. Its got the big suction mode which helps you get stuff up and its all made in the UK. My only grievance is that the latch to remove the rigid hose is on the handset itself meaning there's a super awkward way you need to hold it to get it appart but all in all that's a minor issue.
Depends on your budget really. My fave was an upright Orek, when that died after 10 years of cleaning up after five cats. I then got a Miele which again lasted a long time (about 12 or 13 years). Got rid of a Dyson after six months - useless! And still are... At the moment I am using a Henry Quick Pet combined with a Roomba I7. The robot does surprisingly well on our rugs and hard floors.
This happens too many times and ive called him too many names 😆 I now have a henry quick pet to do the quick work and get henry out for any tough jobs lol much less stress but henry quick is best on boost mode, he can get the hair and dust up but struggles with bigger bits but I can get the stairs done much easier and the car!
All of the cheaper cordless vacuums have more battery and motor problems within a year. No matter the price or brand I recommend getting a cordless vacuum with replaceable batteries and replacement parts available. It looks like the Xiaomi G20 does not have a replaceable battery so I would avoid that. If you live in the U.K. I would take advantage of the amazing prices you have on Henrys. The Henry Quick Pet is on sale for £219 and a regular corded Henry is £129. Thoughts?
Samsung stopped making corded vacuums for some time so these are all older vacuums. The picture is of a suction-only vacuum, no carpet powerhead so it's best for hard floors. The cyclone and filter are above average for a bagless vacuum. But it's still a bagless vacuums so that means it's not good for allergies and it requires more maintenance. I wouldn't get a used Samsung bagless vacuum if this is going to be your primary vacuum. Don't buy it unless you're a collector. For regular daily use the Henry Hoover is so much better and brand new prices are pretty cheap if you're in the UK. If you have carpets get a Sebo with a carpet powerhead.
I like Henry but Henry lacks suction speed control. For a plush delicate rug the gentlest cleaning is done with a combo brush, brisles retracted, and you can turn down the suction to the appropriate level. The Miele C1 Pure Suction and Sebo K2 Kombi are 2 canister vacuums that you should look at. Both have tools to clean baseboards and much more. The Miele C1 is a little lighter and quieter. The Sebo K2 is a little more durable and it has a longer cord.
I haven't tried the new Bissell SpotClean C5, but I know the Bissell SpotClean HydroSteam is quieter than the older SpotClean Pro series. So I think it's reasonable that the Bissell SpotClean C5 is quieter than the old SpotClean Pet/ProHeat series. I have a Henry vacuum and they are very quiet. It's larger than the Bissell spot cleaners but the Numatic Geroge can do carpet cleaning and regular dry vacuuming and it should be a quieter machine. You could vacuum and then spot clean with the same machine with a George.
Henry quicks often go on sale for that price or below. The quick pet is currently £220 across most stores it seems. A consideration is that you will need bags (or pods in Henry quick language) but you didn't say a preference either way. You get 10 with the quick pet. If it's just the two of you in a small flat I'd say each pod will last 1.5-2 months. Otherwise it meets all your requirements.
Easy to clean and cheap, see if you can get a Henry Quick. Henry is a very old and well trusted vacuum cleaning brand in the UK used in commercial environments and at home. They’re cheap and reliable, they’re known for these big tubs on wheels that have a HEPPA filter bag that collects the dust and you replace, no filters or anything, and they’ve just released a new stick vacuum called Henry Quick, which again has a small bag that’s the filter too, so no filter washing and loss of suction. You can most likely get one shipped from the UK, and I imagine the bags can be found on Amazon anyways.
Henry classic for most of the house. Henry stick cordless (Henry Quick) for carpeted areas and easy spill clean up. The key is they are bagged - we find bagless hoovers are basically just sucking against a filter which inevitably gets clogged fast.
Henry Quick is 100% the right choice
Build Quality, Performance, Filtration, Longevity, its adorable. Pretty much just “what makes it better” the answer is everything.
