Numatic Henry/James/similar. Buy an extra long hose, or have a vac shop make one up for you, and customise it with any standard 1.25" attachments that take your fancy. That's what I used for extended dusting jobs back when I cleaned houses for a living. Powerful, quiet (important for longer tasks such as this), and simple with no frills.

Hij heeft grote zakken en groot bereik met het snoer. Ding is super robuust en ligt niet elke keer op z'n rug (wat z'n Philips voorganger wel elke keer deed). Onderdelen zijn makkelijk te krijgen, dus repareren is niet heel moeilijk.

Numatic, wij hebben nu een James. Alle andere zijn toch redelijk snel kapot (binnen 2 jaar). We zijn hier chronisch aan het verbouwen, hebben honden en een kat. James maakt het allemaal niks uit. Hij is nu 5 jaar, onlangs hebben we het snoer vervangen, daar was een breuk in gekomen door mijn schuld. Voor 20 euro doet hij het weer. Hij zuigt prima, heeft een groot bereik (lang snoer), voldoende mondstukken en ligt niet heel snel omver oid. Vervangende onderdelen zijn makkelijk te regelen en uiteindelijk is hij zo simpel in elkaar gezet, dat vervangen ook niet heel moeilijk is. Hij kijkt altijd blij, ook een voordeel.

That'll be a blue George! They used to do them all in every colour. They changed the wheels in June 2003, and although I'd say their quality did go up and down after that, they did exceed the early 2000s models with the mid-2000s Henrys. The issues only really came in with the 160 imo.

Anything from numatic. Had a shark, cost about £170 new, lasted 6 months before needing a non-servicable part to be replaced which meant replacing the whole bottom half of the hoover. Was going to cost £130. Threw the heap of shit in the bin and dug the old 25 year old Numatic James out of the shed and have been using it ever since.

I definitely remember the adjustment from powered carpet head to straight suction. I switched from a Miele to a Numatic James because the cost of genuine Miele bags started to add up. I think we're lucky most of clients have newer builds and have hard floors and rugs rather than wall-to-wall carpet (Canadian Prairies). 9 years in with James and it only needed a switch and power cord replaced.

Miele's are great, but they're not really meant for hard commercial use. They have lots of refinement, but the bags are on the smaller side If it's just hard floors, and you have issues with hair, I'd go for a Numatic. Probably a James or a Henry, but they have lots of other similar ones. Very simple machines built to take abuse, huge bag capacities, low running costs. The James also has an easily replaceable cord If the supplied floor tools prove inadequate, a good upgrade would be the RD285 from Wessel Werk for handling hair

These are terrible vacuums. The single cyclone design makes the filter clog up quickly and bagless vacuums are more maintenance and don't last as long. If you're in Europe there are many bagged canisters available from AEG, Bosch, Electrolux, Numatic Henry, Miele, and Sebo to name a few. It’s crazy how much more expensive Numatic machines are over there. They’re really quite cheap / offer excellent value for money in the UK. My mains powered Numatic vacuum was only £150. And the Henry Xtra cylinder machine has just been on offer for about £130.

Over engineered and complicated, an absolute pig to work on as well. Miele for premium brand is much better or Numatic for budget (imo anyway)

Eigen ervaring is dat zowel de draadloze als de robotstofzuiger meer gedoe zijn dan het waard is. Na die experimenten een Numatic gekocht, en die doet het gewoon - als er iets kapot is, dan is het te repareren.

Al sinds de vorige eeuw een Numatic en hij zuigt nog steeds de tapijttegels van de vloer als ik niet oplet.

Buy a Numatic, they are by far the best.

You forgot it's about 100 times quieter... Shop Vacs are insanely loud. Numatics are one of the more quiet vacuums out there.

Numatic have a reputation for lasting decades. Also fully serviceable.

I would not add Johnny vac or Airstream to that list. Riccar currently they're only a decent product with the S10 . I would add Nilfisk, Numatic,VacuFlo,MD as good vacuums to that list. We all know about the troll that has been recently lurking. I suspect this post is a response to that.

Numatic! Robuust en de zak gaat lang mee. Blijkbaar ook goed repareerbaar en niet zo fragiel als Dyson
