That makes sense. The shock of using a new hoover and wondering if it was blocked or something it was so poor.

Henry classic for most of the house. Henry stick cordless (Henry Quick) for carpeted areas and easy spill clean up. The key is they are bagged - we find bagless hoovers are basically just sucking against a filter which inevitably gets clogged fast.

Shark, specifically the pet uprights. My long haired cat moults like crazy and our Shark upright will pick up everything out of the carpet, and the sofas and chairs with the attachments. Also helps when the humans moult; two people with thyroid issues constantly shedding long hair live here too. My cat-owning friends have bought Shark hoovers. Henry was alright but I hate his silly face and he constantly tipped over when I used it. The combo of the two just infuriated me!

Vacuum cleaners you mean? The Pneumatic range i.e Henry, Hetty etc. they just work. There's a reason builders use them

I bought a refurb old style Henry off eBay for £50- thing goes like a jet engine!

Henry everyday , no hoover in existence marketed as good for dog hair has lived up to my Henry’s ability to deal with husky fur .

I've got a fullsize Henry and a Shark handheld, best of both worlds 👍

Henry's are great, only thing shark has on them is the newer ones are cordless

If you get Henry Home (~£180) it comes with a turbo brush for carpets that improves performance a lot.

I like my Henry cordless. It's light and easy to move it about. I hate hoovering with a normal henry. It's too big and ignorant.
