Commercial grade (Numatic) Henry, easy to fix and durable,I am tempted to get the back pack version! Shark is fiddly to repair, especially when it gets clogged up, they have made it to be unfixable by the average user and require special tools to take them apart, you also need an extra set of filters, so one set can be used while the ones being cleaned and dried before next use. On the Henry, HEPA filter bag all contained, and just replace when 70-80% full (before i notice any performance drop), also the attachements can be purchased separately and standard fit with all models. Dysons don't have standard attachements with diffrent series.
I agree with the Henry recommendation, they're very durable vacuums with strong suction, but they are surprisingly quiet. Henry 160 is the smallest canister good for homes. I think you should check out the Henry 200 and Henry 240, their bag compartment holds more and the cords are longer. I think your clients will really like his face and you can draw/add some body builder arms on his tub. Henry fits standard 1.25 inch tools so adding a good Wessel Werk hard floor brush is easy. Backpack vacuums are good for covering large areas that are not cramped or confined. I do not like backpacks if you have to bend and move stuff a lot or stop vacuuming frequently.
All of the cheaper cordless vacuums have more battery and motor problems within a year. No matter the price or brand I recommend getting a cordless vacuum with replaceable batteries and replacement parts available. It looks like the Xiaomi G20 does not have a replaceable battery so I would avoid that. If you live in the U.K. I would take advantage of the amazing prices you have on Henrys. The Henry Quick Pet is on sale for £219 and a regular corded Henry is £129. Thoughts?
Samsung stopped making corded vacuums for some time so these are all older vacuums. The picture is of a suction-only vacuum, no carpet powerhead so it's best for hard floors. The cyclone and filter are above average for a bagless vacuum. But it's still a bagless vacuums so that means it's not good for allergies and it requires more maintenance. I wouldn't get a used Samsung bagless vacuum if this is going to be your primary vacuum. Don't buy it unless you're a collector. For regular daily use the Henry Hoover is so much better and brand new prices are pretty cheap if you're in the UK. If you have carpets get a Sebo with a carpet powerhead.
Don’t buy a Dyson. Heap of shit. Get yourself a Miele or a Henry with bags. Or a Shark if you want something cordless for quick jobs.
100% shop vac. If you’re in Europe a popular one are those red or green Henry/George vacs. Afaik the green one can do wet vacuum too. Some shop vacs use bags that help with suction and disposing but they aren’t necessary to function.
We have a corded Sebo Felix, which is used upstairs where we have carpet, and a Henry which is used downstairs where there is hard floors. The Henry sucks up all the floof our golden retriever sheds without problem, and the Sebo does a good enough job on the carpet upstairs (where the dog is not supposed to go..)
I have love hate relationship with my Dyson V8 pet. The attachments are the best I've ever used of any vacuum but the unit itself shuts off and the battery has a short life span. I have a corded Henry that has way better suction. If only I could use the Dyson animal hair attachments on it.
We purchased a cordless shark a few years ago. It no longer picks anything up and gets clogged up so easy. Before that we had a corded Henry. Yes it was bulky, but at least it vacuumed the floor properly. Trying to pursued my wife to get another Henry, but its a no go.
We went from a corded Henry we got for free 10+ years ago to a cordless Shark and when the Shark is working, it picks up more dirt than the Henry (can see the Shark picks up from carpets even after I’ve run the Henry over it). The problem is, Shark clogs really easily, at any opportunity. Spent so much time faffing about with the thing trying to get it to work. I’ve never done any maintenance on the Henry. I’ve dropped it down the stairs multiple times. I’ve hoovered up brick dust with Henry and it’s fine to carry on doing whatever I need. I’ve kept it as a backup hoover for the dirty jobs. Not currently using the Shark the last week as it doesn’t seem to want to pick anything up at the moment - have cleaned every filter, the batteries are charged. Not sure what is wrong with the thing now - it’s just lost a lot of power. Shark is also quite flimsy. The design means it was possible to fold it while the dirt bin wasn’t fully on, it fell from a height of maybe 30cm and the catch broke. Can’t replace the catch. £50 for a new bin so we bodge it closed when using it. Parts are cheaper and easier to get with the Henry. Shark/Ninja (same company) parts department is more of a “we might keep a few spare if we feel like it”. (Have had similar parts issues with Ninja). They also change the models frequently and sell different ones in different places so eBay etc is a pain. Pretty sure I could still replace any part of a Henry (or Hetty, etc) even if the exact model was 20 years old.
Potentially you live in a humid house, this looks a lot like the fluff that collects in our bathroom from towels. Alternatively jogging bottoms/socks with fleece lining, turn them inside out and wash them. I think this vacuum you have is defective/blocked (I don’t recognise it from the label on the floor head). Buy a regular corded pull along Henry for ~£100 (or less if you buy a used one) and see if life improves, then you can spend the big bucks later.
