Have you considered the upright version by ProTeam? I bought myself Proforce 1200XP for same reason, sites I side hustle extra hours at have garbage low end vacuums that are miserable to clean with. I’ve put 1200XP through some decent abuse over the past four years & still going strong.

My ProTeam XP upright has served me well since buying 4 years ago, takes weekly abuse from car to daycare/office sites & gobbles road salt like a champ. Whatever you do decide on buying highly suggest considering a bagged vacuum.

This is a little tough, most upright vacuums are designed to clean carpets, but I have a few ideas. The ProTeam ProForce 1500XP $667 and 1200XP are durable commercial vacuums that you can turn off the brushroll. You want to turn off the brushroll so it doesn't scatter stuff on hard floors and it doesn't beat up the vacuum when it's not brushing carpets. It has a long cord and a quick draw hose/wand great for cleaning corners. Bags are large and cheap and it has a hepa filter. The 1500XP is 15 inches wide and the 1200XP is 12 inches wide. There are also cheaper copy-cats of the ProTeam ProForce. The Bissell BG1000 Commercial Vacuum is $359-479. The Lavex 15" Dual Motor Upright is $269. The Lavex will last the shortest, Bissell middle, and ProTeam the longest. The Lavex might be a cheaper way to try an upright like this. If you think this is a good solution I'd choose the Bissell for a balance of price and durability. If you have a long paint booth with lots of square feet to cover you could also consider a backpack vacuum. If you have a lighter backpack vacuum and a proper harness fit you can vacuum standing and you don't have to push and pull an upright vacuum. You walk forward and wave the wand back and forth. Check out the ProTeam GoFit 3qt $476 and the NaceCare RSV150 $603. These are some of the smaller and lighter backpack vacuums. You definitely don't need anything over the 6 qt size. Last idea, how about a garage vacuum or central vacuum that you mount on the wall? Something like the Prolux Wet/Dry Garage Vacuum $499 comes with a 30 ft. hose. Central vacuums can use hoses 25-50 feet. With both vacuums you mount them outside of the booth and you only pull the hose in behind you as you are using the vacuum. Thoughts?

For commercial use I don’t recommend a bagless vacuum. It sounds like less work but when employees don’t empty the bin and wash the filters regularly it shortens the life of the vacuum. Most bagless only last a year when used daily. Most commercial vacuums use bags. As long as you keep bags on hand changing a bag takes seconds and is much cleaner. For a lightweight vacuum I like the Oreck XL recommendation and I would also recommend the Karcher Ranger $212. The Karcher Ranger has a brushroll that is removable without needing a screwdriver or any tools. But both has no hose or tools. If you need a hose and tools I’d look at a Sanitaire Professional SL4110A $159. It’s bagged and has a long cord and a basic hose and tools. The ProTeam ProForce 1200XP $596 is a real tank if you want a real durable vacuum and don’t mind it being heavier.

If you want a vacuum that is going to last more than 6 months I would definitley recommend a bagged vacuum. Changing the bag in a vacuum takes seconds and it doesn't make a messy cloud. Bagless vacuums have small filters that get clogged quickly. The bagless filters reduce suction and put added stress on the motor. For hard floors you really need a vacuum with a brushroll that turns off or a soft hard floor brush on a canisters. A spinning brush can scratch the wood and fling debris around. I think you should look at the ProTeam ProForce XP1500 $667 and XP1200 $596. The XP1500 has a 15 inch wide vacuum head and the XP1200 has a 12 inch wide vacuum head. These are very durable commercial vacuums. They have a spinning brushroll for the rugs and the brushroll turns off for the hard floors. 50 ft cord that you can replace with an extension cord. Bags are cheap. It has a built in hose and tools for above floor cleaning or cleaning crevices and baseborads. There are some copycats Bissell Commercial BG1000 $475 and Lavex 15" Dual Motor Upright Bagged Vacuum $269 if you want cheaper options but they aren't as durable. The Bissell Commercial is middle commerical quality the Lavex is cheaper quality which lines up with the prices. Both will easily last more than 6 months with commercial use. I don't recommend buying a bagless vacuum. With daily commercial use most bagless vacuums like Dysons and Sharks will break in a few months. What do you think?
