I have said before and will keep saying: Dysons are gimmicky pos's. Buy one of these, it will be the last vacuum you ever buy. Dual motor, which is what you need for fur. Downsides: pretty heavy, and the wand hose is too short. https://www.partswarehouse.com/Proteam-Proteam-1500Xp-Proforce-W-Tools-Hepa-15In-Gray-PRT-1-p/PRT-107252.htm
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Proteam Proforce xp1500 and I’m not impressed.
r/Custodians • What kind of vacuum cleaners do yall use ->This is a little tough, most upright vacuums are designed to clean carpets, but I have a few ideas. The ProTeam ProForce 1500XP $667 and 1200XP are durable commercial vacuums that you can turn off the brushroll. You want to turn off the brushroll so it doesn't scatter stuff on hard floors and it doesn't beat up the vacuum when it's not brushing carpets. It has a long cord and a quick draw hose/wand great for cleaning corners. Bags are large and cheap and it has a hepa filter. The 1500XP is 15 inches wide and the 1200XP is 12 inches wide. There are also cheaper copy-cats of the ProTeam ProForce. The Bissell BG1000 Commercial Vacuum is $359-479. The Lavex 15" Dual Motor Upright is $269. The Lavex will last the shortest, Bissell middle, and ProTeam the longest. The Lavex might be a cheaper way to try an upright like this. If you think this is a good solution I'd choose the Bissell for a balance of price and durability. If you have a long paint booth with lots of square feet to cover you could also consider a backpack vacuum. If you have a lighter backpack vacuum and a proper harness fit you can vacuum standing and you don't have to push and pull an upright vacuum. You walk forward and wave the wand back and forth. Check out the ProTeam GoFit 3qt $476 and the NaceCare RSV150 $603. These are some of the smaller and lighter backpack vacuums. You definitely don't need anything over the 6 qt size. Last idea, how about a garage vacuum or central vacuum that you mount on the wall? Something like the Prolux Wet/Dry Garage Vacuum $499 comes with a 30 ft. hose. Central vacuums can use hoses 25-50 feet. With both vacuums you mount them outside of the booth and you only pull the hose in behind you as you are using the vacuum. Thoughts?
r/VacuumCleaners • VACUUM RECS FOR INDUSTRIAL PAINT SPRAY BOOTH ->And let me clarify that I realize this model isn’t the best one for bare floors. But it does have a bare floor feature. I have a ProTeam 1500xp (maybe it was the 1200xp idk) I used when the Miele was down for a bit waiting for a new hose and used it at home all the time with no hair jamming issues. And I’ve brought my Sebo home to use before with no issue. It’s really a bad design issue with Miele.
r/VacuumCleaners • Anyone not like their Miele? ->My ProTeam XP upright has served me well since buying 4 years ago, takes weekly abuse from car to daycare/office sites & gobbles road salt like a champ. Whatever you do decide on buying highly suggest considering a bagged vacuum.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best vacuum for getting litter pieces out of carpet? ->Been using this for handful of years, gobbles like a champ. Gets loads of use weekly.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best vacuum I’ve found to date. ->I have one of these for my upcoming business (along with a Super Coach Pro 10 & a 1200XP) & I love it!!
r/VacuumCleaners • Best vacuum I’ve found to date. ->For my upcoming cleaning business: ProTeam uprights & backpacks For my day job: Atrix Backpack & Bissell Cleanview upright
