We have a Proteam FS6 which comes in many variations. Most have a rigid curved commercial wand but we got the more carpet focused version with the Wessel Werk powerhead. We used it when we had a 4 story townhouse with 3 long flights of carpeted stairs, 10 foot ceilings. It was great for vacuuming up all those stairs but could bang walls and such if you weren't careful. It's sitting in a box now and I may convert it to a garage vac. It has excellent suction, easy to dump bags, multiple layers of filtration, standard 50' extension cord.
We use the Proteam quartervac backpack vacuum (6 quart). Best vacuum I’ve ever owned. Carpet is a challenge, tho; they sell an attachable beater/roller head for carpets, I’ve never used one but they do make them. For carpets, we “rake” instead of typical back and forth. Most of the homes we clean are tile, marble, etc. so it is not an issue. They have three hepa filters, literally clean the air as you vacuum. I’m loyal to Proteam!
Also loyal to proteam. I’m commercial though, not residential. It’s hard to imagine a 10qt round in someone’s 1bed apartment lol, but I’d bet the 6qt is perfect. You really can’t beat the light-weightedness of the wand, it saves the shoulder, and having a 50ft cord is the bees knees. Also is great for turning the wand sideways so the head can fit under things, or removing the wand to use the hose for corners and edges. Carpet is rough for me too if it’s not shorter fiber and also have to do the rake method, same with some rugs, so I have one head attachment that is the brush type, and one that is flat with the smoothed felt (my favorite). I sound like a commercial. But truly, backpack vac’ing is so great. Who ya gonna call? Haha Edit: it’s also satisfying to listen to stuff get sucked up through the metal wand, like a bunch of debris… I know you know the sound lol
I managed to get a proteam 6qt commercial backpack vacuum for free. Hepa bags, secondary filter on the bag, filter in top of the motor, and Hepa exhaust filters. It's bulky, but it's hands down the best vacuum I've ever used!
We have a couple Tornado uprights and variously sized ProTeam backpacks.
I own a cleaning business and we use ProTeam backpack vacuum & Hoover hushtone upright. Both work great and can withstand long days and abuse. Hoover is a bit heavy but it works great
ProTeam Backpack. I don't know the model off the top of my head, but it takes the triangle bags with most of the filters deleted.
For my upcoming cleaning business: ProTeam uprights & backpacks For my day job: Atrix Backpack & Bissell Cleanview upright
nice, upgrading from Sharks is a game changer! i've used a [ProTeam Backpack Vacuum](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=ProTeam+Backpack+Vacuum&language=en_US&tag=bestdeals202f-20&ref=as_li_ss_tl) for commercial work and it's honestly so much easier to carry between houses. what worked for me was the maneuverability - you can clean stairs and under furniture without dragging a canister. also check out the [Simplicity S65H bagged upright](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Simplicity+S65H+vacuum&language=en_US&tag=bestdeals202f-20&ref=as_li_ss_tl) if you want a solid traditional option under $500.
I use a proteam backpack. I can’t IMAGINE using anything else.
