>We have 2 dogs that shed A LOT: > I hear the D4 has a 6L bag but I feel as though itll get full pretty quick. 6L is a ***gallon and a half***.... 1.5 milk jugs full of hair (and concentrated dog fragrance). not sure you can find a bigger bag unless you go commercial. i have 3 dogs. >What about the smell? smell is at full power when the bag gets about quarter full... a fresh bag doesn't stay that way for long.. these use water to filter.. but $$. ($) [https://rainbowsystem.com/](https://rainbowsystem.com/) The Rainbow uses Mother Nature’s most powerful element, water, to trap dirt and odors, returning only naturally clean, water-washed air to your home environment.
The Bissell Revolution is a carpet cleaner and their motors are made to run fewer hours than a household vacuum. So I think your Bissell might break within a year from weekly or more frequent use. I think you should look into a used Rainbow vacuum or Sirena vacuum. These are water filtration vacuums with a bowl of water as the main filter. These Rainbow E2 and newer models and all Sirenas also have a Hepa exhaust filter. So you get water and good filtration. They are also quieter than a carpet cleaner because they have dc motors. Rainbow is the original and you can still buy new Rainbow SRX for $3k. Sirena is a copy-cat that is much cheaper brand new.
I have two GSD, females, 9 & 10 years old and I grew up with German Shepherds. I have a Royal, (Kirby), and a Rainbow water base vacuum. Rainbow is expensive, but will last 30 years, no joke. My mother had one for 36 years. After 36 years, my dad took it over and used it in his garage. I bought a used Rainbow from E-Bay 17 years ago. It works great on dog hair. Great suction! Good luck.
If you're truly serious about your cleaning, there's only one hoover that I know of that catches most of the dust and it's the water based Rainbow hoover. It's not very much talked about given the very high price point but it's the best purchase ever. We've had it for around 15 years now with weekly use.
I use a Rainbow vacuum system. It has a dust mite attachment for mattresses and curtains. I’ve had it for almost 30 years and it is still exactly like the day I bought it. It doesn’t use a filter system, it uses water, and is expensive. But if you think that I had it for 30 years, it’s very cheap.
My family has always had Rexair Rainbow vacuums. Mine is older than I am (when my mom upgraded 15 years ago, she gave me hers from college). Honestly it's a shame that it's so far down on this list, they're AMAZING vacuums. Mine is over 35 years old and runs like a champ. I recommend it to everyone. They're hard to get used to, but because it's a tanked water system (it's NOT a wet vac), you don't recirculate dust when you dump the pan. You can add scents and there's a ton of attachments for your every possible need. It's amazing!
Try rainbow cleaning system manufactured by rexair and you will never go back to another type of vacuum. Its a water filtration type of vacuum, all dirt and dust is sucked and dissolved in water and no filters needed. If money is not an issue, it will set you back $4000 Canadian but can last 20 to 25 years. Note: Im not a salesperson, we have owned two since 1996
