We use a Riccar tandem upright pet vacuum, it was $1,500 new. But it’s incredible. Dysons are awful. Shark I’ve heard good things.
A Riccar R40P is the best vacuum in the world and will last a lifetime.
Riccar? That’s in my top 3.
Never consider Shark. Bagged is best. Riccar is top of the line if you’re willing to spend. See a local dealer.
I speak from experience. I experience many vacs daily. Bagless all leak. The brush rolls are weak at best. Shark puts out models with no or very little support. The bagless vacs are designed to be replaced in 5 years. Bagged especially Riccar and Sebo are designed to last 20 years and create a MUCH cleaner space than any bagless. Shark and all bagless can afford advertising and reviews because it costs nothing to make the trash they sell. See a local dealer, learn what it takes to be a real vacuum.
1. Corded. 2. Bagged. 3. Riccar or Simplicity. See a local dealer after research on the web For your floors R27D
Hmmm if you want professional opinion, ….. 1. Corded 2. Bagged 3. Riccar 4. See a local dealer BIFL vacuums only. Quit filling landfills with bagless garbage.
1. Corded 2. Bagged 3. Not finding quality for $250. You get what you pay for. Riccar is the best.
Many corded vacuums have headlights on their carpet powerheads but most do not have headlights on the hard floor/parquet brushes. The plush carpet needs a vacuum with physical carpet height adjustment and suction control helps too. I highly recommend trying these vacuums in person to see if they meet your needs. Miele C3 Marin has headlights on the SEB236 powerhead. It's a very good vacuum for carpets and hard floors and it's very quiet. Downsides are the standard tools are small so they fit in a compartment and the bags can leak if you don't reseat them every time you open the bag door. Riccar has several upright vacuums with headlights. The Riccar R25 Deluxe, R25 Premium Pet, R27 Deluxe, R27 Premium Pet have headlights, the Premium Pet models add dirt sensor lights that turn on when it detects dirt. The Tandem Air Upright Deluxe and Premium Pet also have headlights and dirt sensor lights on the Premium Pet. Riccar makes complicated vacuums that perform well but they are not as durable/reliable as Miele or Sebo. Prolux QX90 canister vacuum has headlights on its carpet powerhead. Prolux is not as expensive as Miele and Sebo but they are a step down in quality and reliability. I think they are still better than Kenmore canister vacuums and the many budget vacuums. There are also stick on led lights that you can attach to any vacuum that does not have headlights. While I like headlights that work on all surfaces, I would rather choose the vacuum that best meets my needs and I like overall the best. What do you think?
Riccar makes the best uprights with a huge selection. R40/r30 great for carpets and hardfloor, long hose, superior filtration to sebo. R27 great for hardfloor and very good on carpet. Long hose, again superior filtration to sebo.
They’re high end as well. I have a Tandem Air Upright, amazing machine! Every bit as good as Miele, Sebo, Lindenhaus.
Check out a Riccar Tandem Air Upright, amazing with carpet!
I’d go to a flooring store and see what their recommendations are. I have a Riccar Tandem Air that will deep clean your carpet. If you use the wrong vacuum you can and will void your warranty, it’s a crappy industry secret
We use a riccar vacuum for pets. Dual motors and it just shreds the dog hair up. Have a dig brush attachment that works like a champ
We use a riccar pet. It just shreds the hair. Dual motors. The dog hair doesn't have a chance
So most of the heavily marketed brands will put out a “pet” edition. All that is usually different on the pet edition versus the consumer is a paint color change, maybe an additional tool but a heck of an up charge as a sales tactic. If you don’t mind used get on marketplace and look for an Oreck made in 2013 or before. That’s when they got bought and quality went to hell. Riccar premium pet will suck a watermelon through a garden hose, has a great warranty and is amazing but comes with a price tags. It might just come with the territory of a 2,400 square foot house in the burbs that will hold up long term. The big thing that might cause some drama is an old school bag vacuum is superior to a modern canister. Yes a bag less vacuum is nice because you can just dump it and go on, but the bagged ones are built to last.
Miele is an EU brand, and their vacuums are designed for smaller square foot living spaces. They pack up nice, the cord rolls up, etc. I personally believe that they are not as popular in the US because of this. Dyson is a trap, they are riding on brand name alone now. If you have a Dyson from 12 years ago, great, it's probably really good. But the new ones are lacking QC. Shark is disposable. They even say that they are in the business of making vacuums, not repairing vacuums. For our money, we bought a Riccar and I highly doubt anything out there is as powerful as the Tandem Air.
