This is honestly the real only correct answer in my eyes as well. Last you forever, accessories are great, plenty of power, great bags and filters which aren't an arm and a leg. The extra hose kit makes this feel almost like a remote vacuum as you can drag the hose all over the place. I swapped to one of these and later bought one of these as a gift for someone else and they still tell me how much they love it.

I have a rigid shop vac with the car accessory kit. Works great. But I really want a big boi suckr pro+, never in stock. Battery units just don’t work as well as electric. They are ok but they lack real suction. I have a Milwaukee fuel 18v pack out shop vac, it is ok. Not as good as the rigid. If I need to do a job faster, the rigid. If I need to get deep, the rigid. If I want to pick up loose dirt, the Milwaukee.

I don’t think so. You don’t have to get a 14-16 gallon one. This will do. They do go on sale sometimes you can get really good deals. But the small one doesn’t get much lower than here (maybe 10 bux). https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-4-Gal-5-0-Peak-HP-Portable-Shop-Vacuum-Wet-Dry-Vac-with-Fine-Dust-Filter-Accessories-and-Car-Cleaning-Kit-WD4070C-WD4070C/308058433 This is what I have. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-14-Gal-6-0-Peak-HP-NXT-Shop-Vacuum-Wet-Dry-Vac-with-Fine-Dust-Filter-Hose-Accessories-and-Car-Cleaning-Kit-HD1401-HD1401/308343494

I use [this Ridgid corded vacuum ](https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ridgid-15l-4-gal-5-0-peak-hp-portable-wet-dry-shop-vacuum-with-fine-dust-filter-hose-and-accessories/1000527616). Space is at a premium on my truck, and is quite often in something like a bathroom renovation, and this unit is a good compromise between size and power. It can suck plaster debris through a vortex separator no problem, and I've used it to pull water out of 3' deep fence post holes. I bought one of those cheapie Ryobi hand held battery operated ones, but it isn't much use for more than a few crumbs of sawdust. On a practical sense, I still need to lug around a suction device, and I may as well bring one that works rather than doing two trips to the truck.

Milwaukee M18 is good for on the go and cleaning up small piles of dust and stuff. I absolutely love my Ridgid 4gal 5.0 though.

The rigid 5hp 4gal shop vac. All the power of a larger shop vac in a smaller size. Get the accessory kit with the 10ft hose and flexible crevice tool from harbour freight.

I use the Ridgid 4 gallon 5hp ones in clients' homes. It's compact enough that it's not overly cumbersome and has the power of a full size.

I have a Rigid 4 gallon that is light and easily moved around. Cleans the house, basement, car and garage as needed. It is a wet/dry vac but I only use it for dry.
