1 gallon Ryobi works great (as with any plastic, be careful with the hose in extreme cold) I’m considering picking up their bucket-top vac as well.

Ryobi 1 gal is super small and light and pretty powerful for its size. It’s the one I grab most often. 3D printed some feet so I can attach it to packout.

The small Ryobi hand vacuums don't have any cyclonic separators so everything just gathers by the filter and they can lose suction pretty quickly. I prefer a small hose and crevice tool to get into the tight areas of a car. So I'd look at the [18V ONE+ 1 GALLON WET/DRY VACUUM PCL733B](https://www.ryobitools.com/products/33287199839) and the [18V ONE+ HP BRUSHLESS JOBSITE HAND VACUUM PBLHV701B](https://www.ryobitools.com/products/33287201853?queryID=43f62e70ac71c8f21ec671958067cc30&objectID=51791472296299). The 1 Gallon Wet/Dry can use a hepa cartridge filter and the Brushless Jobsite Hand Vacuum comes with a hepa cartridge filter. I'd choose the Brushless Jobsite Hand Vacuum, the brushless motor is more powerful and it comes with the hepa filter standard.

Love ours. Even upgraded to the whisper series. It’s nothing special in terms of a cordless vac, nothing to complain about either. What sets it apart is the fact that I have a dozen batteries ready to rock at any time.

Eh, it’s definitely quieter which is a plus for dogs or napping kids, but it’s not like I notice a major difference in power or anything. I’m no vacuum expert. We were happy with the original, but when part of our original broke, after some back and forth with Ryobi, they sent us the whisper model in its entirety, rather than just replace the broken part from our original, which we would have been happy with. So is it worth the upgrade? Probably not, to the average Joe like me, but it’s been nice for the QoL upgrades they made. Hope that helps!

I have the ryobi. It’s a game changer.

I had the first one. I could not stand it. Likely my least favorite dewalt purchase ever. Their vacuum offerings have always been lame. I have a ryobi shop vac and a ryobi to dewalt battery adapter. It's way better than dewalt

We’ve got a Ryobi shop vac. We only use it occasionally but it would be great in a place like a restaurant with wet spills and glass that must be lifted by the vac.

Yeah I wouldn't use the wet dry one as a dry vac. If you did I wouldn't expect it to work on carpet. I'd use it as a mop. The seal on the filter of the one I have has deformed so now it doesn't seal properly, but I just need to get a new filter. It works significantly better than the Bissell crosswave my in laws bought us (before I was assigned to this project). The high capacity one seemed fine from my use of it, but I was not the engineer for it so I don't know as much about it. Also both of mine are pre-production so what you get should be more refined.

The Ryobi is the best 18/20V vacuum on that list, though. The Samsung and Tineco *might* work with an adapter (they're 21.6/24V, so FLEX and Kobalt batteries would work), but the Dyson, LG, and Shark are 25.2/28V and likely would barely run at all with Ridgid 18/20V batteries. Also, the Ryobi is $100. The cheapest vacuum that beat it in Project Farm's video is the $300 LG. That's more than "a little more", it's triple the price.

I think that's the same one I have. I use it with DeWalt batteries and an adapter. Works as well as any vacuum I've used, better than most, plus it's small enough to be stored with all of its accessories in a toolbox.

I second shop vac opinions. The Ryobi 18V unit is super nice and you can use the battery and charger with their power inflater for your tires too
