Ive had the 18volt dust buster, the 6gallon 18v vacuum, and the 3 gallon 18v. They are all lackluster in performance. I got a makita 18v dust buster almost 8yrs ago and it’s still going great.
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->IDK how different the stick vacs are from their other vacs, but I have been very happy with the 18v 6 gallon shop vac PCL735K, as well as the 18v hand vac PCL704B. Great suction, no issues. 6+ months of weekly use, often several days in the same week. Regularly emptying and cleaning the filters and appropriate other parts goes a long ways towards keeping vacuums like new, and these are no exception. Also helped me to know going in– vacuums in general eat batteries notably faster than many other tools. Something to consider if you don't already have a few batteries that at least 4ah. (The hand vac will run nicely for spot jobs like the car if I'm using an HP 2ah; for the shop vac I prefer my 8ah's and 6ah's if I'm going to run it for 10+ min straight. But the 4ah's will do for smaller cleanups).
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->Until last year we had the classic Sanitaire. Then the motor burnt out on all of them because nobody can take care of them. They replaced them with shitty little battery powered Ryobi ones definitely NOT made for commercial use. Surprise, mine already had a wheel fall off this week 😒
r/Custodians • What kind of vacuum cleaners do yall use ->I have the ryobi. It’s a game changer.
r/Cartalk • What have you found to be the best portable solution for vacuuming your car? ->I had the first one. I could not stand it. Likely my least favorite dewalt purchase ever. Their vacuum offerings have always been lame. I have a ryobi shop vac and a ryobi to dewalt battery adapter. It's way better than dewalt
r/Dewalt • Dewalt Portable Vacuums - looking for feedback on the two available models. Does either stand out as better than the other? ->We’ve got a Ryobi shop vac. We only use it occasionally but it would be great in a place like a restaurant with wet spills and glass that must be lifted by the vac.
r/Cleaningandtidying • What is a good and cheap vacuum cleaner? ->Yeah I wouldn't use the wet dry one as a dry vac. If you did I wouldn't expect it to work on carpet. I'd use it as a mop. The seal on the filter of the one I have has deformed so now it doesn't seal properly, but I just need to get a new filter. It works significantly better than the Bissell crosswave my in laws bought us (before I was assigned to this project). The high capacity one seemed fine from my use of it, but I was not the engineer for it so I don't know as much about it. Also both of mine are pre-production so what you get should be more refined.
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->The Ryobi is the best 18/20V vacuum on that list, though. The Samsung and Tineco *might* work with an adapter (they're 21.6/24V, so FLEX and Kobalt batteries would work), but the Dyson, LG, and Shark are 25.2/28V and likely would barely run at all with Ridgid 18/20V batteries. Also, the Ryobi is $100. The cheapest vacuum that beat it in Project Farm's video is the $300 LG. That's more than "a little more", it's triple the price.
r/ryobi • Any opinions on this Vacuum? ->I think that's the same one I have. I use it with DeWalt batteries and an adapter. Works as well as any vacuum I've used, better than most, plus it's small enough to be stored with all of its accessories in a toolbox.
r/ryobi • Any opinions on this Vacuum? ->I second shop vac opinions. The Ryobi 18V unit is super nice and you can use the battery and charger with their power inflater for your tires too
r/Cartalk • What have you found to be the best portable solution for vacuuming your car? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
