I have the 717 model and really like it. We use on area rugs, wood floors, carpet and tile. It does a great job with dust, dirt, dog hair, Christmas tree needles, etc. but doesn't like ornament hooks. Like the flexibility of removing the extension bar for the stairs. Cleaned the HVAC ceiling intake vents before Christmas, easier than it's ever been. Looking at adding the small beater bar for the furniture now. Appreciate that the beater bar is mechanically driven rather than suction driven. Like the various modes (beater bar on/off and high/low suction). Highly recommend, it's meeting all our needs.
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->my ryobi pet stick vacuum it works great and its cordless
r/AskReddit • What vacuum do you like best, and why? ->I have a pet stick vac and upgraded to this one then returned it and got another pet stick vac. the "whisper" is only quieter because it runs at less power. at full power it makes about as much noise as the regular vac. the dual rollers are heavier and harder to maneuver than the single roller however it does a slightly better job of cleaning bare floors. overall the for me the price increase isn't worth it over the pet stick vac. I have both the dual roller and single brushless pet stick vacs and almost always go for the convenience of the single roller, it's just so quick, light and easy to maneuver which is kind of the point of these.
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->The ryobi dual roller is great. If you already have a bunch of ryobi 18v batteries then I would recommend. Pricey tough at $600. the cheaper ryobi models are apparently not so great.
r/australia • Best vacuum ->I question how fixable these Ryobi Stick Vacs are - there are very few teardown videos (mostly older models) and aftermarket spare parts, unlike DeWalt but DeWalt doesn't make home vacs (they make shop vacs, which I have the DCV501LN which is excellent). Family has the R18XSV9 Pet Stick vacuum with the R18XSV3-FH3 beater bar/motorised head unit. After about (less) than 2 years, the head's hose tore from repeated flexing. Pretty poor quality hose really. Couldn't tape it as the Y shaped plastic encasing made it inaccessible. Even worse, there is no official replacement for the hose, and Ryobi claims the head is a consumable (which is why there are no spare parts for it apart from the rotating brushes). A new replacement head is 1/4 the price of the vacuum, which is really stupid when one of the cheapest parts of the head is prone to early failure, leaving the head unusable. I quite like the replaceable batteries, but I wouldn't quite recommend them to anyone. Perhaps I'd change my mind if more fix-it videos come about or Ryobi starts providing more spare parts and instructions to replace parts. I am glad that when I was shopping for a shop vac, I did not go for the RHV18X and went with the DCV501LN instead.
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->Ryobi has one with TWO roller bars in the powerhead. It works better than any other battery powered vacuum I’ve tried. Batteries are easy to swap out when needed. Only downside is it’s too strong so if there’s a sock an inch or two away from the head it will suck it up
r/AskACanadian • Canadians, I need a vacuum recommendation. 😋 ->18V ONE+ HP CORDLESS PET STICK VAC KIT WITH DUAL-ROLLER BAR MODEL: #PBLSV717K https://ryobitools.ca/products/details/18V-One-Plus-HP-Cordless-Pet-Stick-Vac-Kit-With-Dual-Roller-Bar/ Enjoy!
r/AskACanadian • Canadians, I need a vacuum recommendation. 😋 ->I’m switching from Ryobi to another brand after having several tools break over the last year. That being said, I just purchased another Ryobi stick vac to replace our Dyson in our home. Out of anything they produce right now- they got this one right.
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->Still have issues with small pieces breaking in the joints where you can remove the stick/extension. Once those break, it becomes loose and has small air leaks:(
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->I have a similar designed upright vacuum like the bissell, but it is cordless and it did not have the best filtration. I ended up getting a [Ryobi 18v](https://www.bunnings.co.nz/ryobi-18v-one-hp-stick-vacuum-tool-only_p0657566) one as I can just swap the battery (but not integrated dock for charging). I have a Hoover Allergy 7011PH for deeper cleaning but sometimes, its great but I can't be arsed dragging the cord around.
r/newzealand • $100 vacuum cleaner options ->Bought one, had to warranty it, and ultimately had to return it after 3 months. It was GARBAGE. Loud as hell, low CFM, and it could not handle any amount of hair.
r/VacuumCleaners • Wondering if anyone here has experience or knows of the Ryobi ONE+ Stick Vacuums and could help with advice on if I should get one or not, Ryobi tools have held up for quite a while and one of my favorite brands here in Australia. (I hate the pull along canister vacuums) ->We got the ryobi pet stick a month or so ago and have really liked it- it does a good job getting dog hair off the couch, battery life seems ok for us( we already had a bunch of the batteries for other tools)
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->Ryobi One+ all the way. The included battery does the entire 3 bedroom house and if I really need it we have the extra batteries in the garage
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Best stick vacuums?! ->I think you should be able to buy an extra battery for most of the name brand stick vacs. I’ve had stick vacs that died after 10-15 minutes and ones that are more like 20-30. I also have an old Ryobi stick vac and something like 10 batteries (acquired for other tools). Sadly, that’s my least preferred and mostly relegated to the garage.
r/VacuumCleaners • Cordless Stick Vacuums are perfect for most people. ->We use them or did in a commercial application. They work awesome when they work, but at least for the years we’ve used them (stopped in 2022) once the break your sol. You couldn’t even get replace hoses for the base or the rush roller. The brush roller would heat up and fuse itself to the base. I will say this though, if under warranty they’ll send you a new one. After that you’re back in the no parts available category. We have a pile of 4 of them now.

(I hate the pull along canister vacuums) ->Same here! I had a similar experience with Dyson, felt like I was paying for the name more than performance. I switched over to a Ryobi stick vac too since I already had their power tools and extra batteries, and it’s been so much more convenient. Being able to swap out batteries instead of waiting for a recharge is a total game changer.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Totally get what you mean about Dyson being the Apple of vacuums, super sleek, but not always worth the price tag. The whole closed ecosystem, expensive accessories, and all that kinda turned me off after a while too. With Ryobi, I love that I can just use the same batteries for basically everything in the garage!
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Oh wow, I had no idea Ryobi’s parent company owns Hoover! That totally makes sense now with how the battery platforms are kinda converging. I’m all for it, honestly, being able to use the same batteries across a bunch of tools and my vacuum just makes life so much easier. I never understood why Dyson stuck with the “sealed unit” concept when battery tech has gotten so good.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->r/vaccuumcleaners might have some good tips, although in the past I asked a similar question there and a bunch of people were like “just make using the bagged vacuum easier!” Because a bagged and corded vacuum is, undeniably, the best quality and most long-lasting style of vacuum. But I’m with you, I needed a more convenient vacuum because the best quality vacuum suddenly plummets in effectiveness when you can’t bring yourself to use it. I ended up with a Ryobi 1+ pet stick vac. I tend to hyper focus when I do start vacuuming and sometimes I enjoy vacuuming for like a while, getting into all the nooks and crannies, so I wanted one with a long battery life. The Ryobi model I went for came with two decently long lasting batteries, and I feel like a vacuum by a tool brand MUST be pretty durable. It’s been a few months since I got it and so far so good
r/BuyItForLife • Vacuum cleaner stick ->I love all the ryobi products i've purchased except for this. Bought to replace a dyson stick and it was far worse and we returned it. Clunky, loud and poor suction. Ended up fixing the dyson stick vacuum
r/VacuumCleaners • Wondering if anyone here has experience or knows of the Ryobi ONE+ Stick Vacuums and could help with advice on if I should get one or not, Ryobi tools have held up for quite a while and one of my favorite brands here in Australia. (I hate the pull along canister vacuums) ->I use the Ryobi pet stick vacuum and it’s hands down the best vacuum I’ve ever had. Bonus points the battery works will all my other Ryobi stuff lol. The battery lasts a long time I only have to charge it about once a week and I vacuum everyday.
r/BorderCollie • Best vacuum for dog hair? Bonus points if it can be bought at Costco. ->I bought a ryobi stick vac, it’s great, shares a battery with my string trimmer and hot glue gun
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->What's missing is the cordless Ryobi stick vacuum that you can pick up at Home Depot for $199. Wirecutter rated it just under the Dyson stick, and for a third of the price? I have two, and they pick up enough stuff that at first, you go 'Wow!', then you go 'Eeewww' because you realize all that stuff has been on your floor all along.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->We have a Dyson V6 that we got on special YEARS ago, still working. The brush is a bit worn though so I have one coming from Aliexpress for not much $$. Keep an eye on specials. I'll replaced it at some point with a Ryobi as if you register it, you get 6 years warranty. Being a stick vac makes it about 10000% easier to be motivated to vacuum compared to a drag around vacuum. Granted the suction won't be as good, it's a worthwhile compromise IMO.
r/newzealand • Decent cheap vacuum recommendations? ->I replaced an old Amazon generic cordless stick vac. They Ryobi was much more powerful and was much more effective on corners and edges.
r/ryobi • Any opinions on this Vacuum? ->I have the HP+ one and it does good for daily cleanings. On hard floors it can "scatter" the debris around a bit but mostly picks it up. I hear this one does that better due to the roller style. I also am only using single roller and I do love it. Killing a battery is easy to swap as I have 3 6ah HP+ batteries I've accumulated. It makes me want a Dyson since it does so great and I hear those are best except the battery but it does so good as is I think this whisper series wouldn't be bad either. I'm bad at linking stuff but there is a YouTube channel that did a stick vac comparison and it really highlighted the weekspots of the Ryobi one I have. Maybe this one would be better.
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->The Ryobi is the best 18/20V vacuum on that list, though. The Samsung and Tineco *might* work with an adapter (they're 21.6/24V, so FLEX and Kobalt batteries would work), but the Dyson, LG, and Shark are 25.2/28V and likely would barely run at all with Ridgid 18/20V batteries. Also, the Ryobi is $100. The cheapest vacuum that beat it in Project Farm's video is the $300 LG. That's more than "a little more", it's triple the price.
r/ryobi • Any opinions on this Vacuum? ->I think that's the same one I have. I use it with DeWalt batteries and an adapter. Works as well as any vacuum I've used, better than most, plus it's small enough to be stored with all of its accessories in a toolbox.
r/ryobi • Any opinions on this Vacuum? ->I second shop vac opinions. The Ryobi 18V unit is super nice and you can use the battery and charger with their power inflater for your tires too
r/Cartalk • What have you found to be the best portable solution for vacuuming your car? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
