I get it. I have owned a couple of Dyson’s… one was a canister bought about 20 years ago and one was a cordless bought about 8 years ago. I kept the Canister going for 8 years but had to replace more than a few brittle plastic parts and it was held together with Epoxy at the end. The cordless battery didn’t last 6 months and I had to replace the canister assembly within 30 days. The clear plastics are simply very brittle in my anecdotal experience. Also have a Miele that was once dropped down the stairs and still works like new. It is 10 years old. I appreciate the convenience of cordless. I actually don’t see bagless as a positive. They objectively release a lot of contaminant’s into the air when emptying. Sure you can empty it outside… but having to go outside every time you use it is not convenient. With a good bagged vacuum, the bag helps filter the air and the bags last a long time. The holy grail for me would be a good bagged cordless vacuum with swappable batteries. We bought a Samsung Bespoke Jet which is pretty close to the ideal… but expensive. Bagless but has a charging base with a bag and filter in it that automatically empties the canister without any dirt getting into the air. Much more quiet than the Dyson, feels better made and includes two swappable batteries with a charger on the base for the 2nd battery.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I have a lower end Miele as my main vacuum and have had it for 10 years and it is like new... however I did supplement with a Dyson cordless for awhile and it went through a battery every year and I had to replace several broken plastic bits on the cannister.... also those make a mess when you try to empty them..... No cordless vacuums are BIFL.... HOWEVER we did get a Samsung Bespoke Jet cordless vac 2 years ago and I love that thing. Pricy for a cordless but it is way better quality than the Dyson and has a charging base that also contains a vacuum/bag that sucks the dirt out of it into a bag... so completely mess-less. It also has two batteries that can be swapped in seconds like a power tool. The second battery mounts to the dock in a second charger. It is also quieter than the Dyson and the Miele.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->Somehow it doesn’t translate to doing well in reviews…. And again it is expensive… but I think it is the perfect stick vac. Having to dump. Bagless vacuum canister in the trash is a huge downside which it solves. Easy change batteries is another nice to have that at least should contribute to longevity.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->We have been through a few Dysons, I’m blow away by how much better the Samsung bespoke does. We don’t even have use our full size Dyson animal anymore.
r/greatpyrenees • Best vacuum to purchase when you have a Great Pyr ->Shark cordless vacuum cleaners are not a type I would recommend. For the price, they have things about them that make them worse than a lot of the competition such as poor build quality and single cyclones. As for cordless, Dyson and LG, and sometimes Samsung, still make the leading mainstream ones in the United States. For Dyson, the V11 to current models are the best on carpet. The V8 is affordable, but lacks the run time and overall power to do a stellar job on carpet, at least in my opinion. Something such as the V15 smokes the heck out of a V8 and even a V10. Even the V12 is decent enough and good if you want something little and lightweight while still being powerful. For LG, the CordZero Kompressor models are the best for carpet because they are more powerful than the standard CordZero variants. The standard ones are fine too, I just prefer the Kompressor for primary use. It is more on par with the newer Dysons in performance and the compacting of the dirt inside the bin does help. The LG All-In-One is excellent, albeit very expensive. If you have money to spend, they are some of the best cordless and bagless things, though. Really cute design. Samsung sometimes has nice deals. I find their quality and support to be a little lower than LG and Dyson, but their units are designed fairly well. For power, to match the other brands, the Jet 75 and Jet 90 are their best deals. They also have the Bespoke Jet, which has some interesting features, but I am partial to the LG All-In-One direct competition. When choosing one, if possible, I recommend seeing them in person and holding them. Some stores such as Best Buy will let you do that. Certain models suit certain people better than others. For example, I love the Dyson Outsize, but some find them to be too heavy and bulky. You obviously want to like something in which you have invested a substantial amount of money.
r/VacuumCleaners • Which stick Vacuum cleaner to buy? ->I love my samsung bespoke jet. Light. It goes everywhere. You can choose to empty yourself the reservoir in the bin (if you wanna save some bags) or use the self-clean function but in that case you have to empty the bag (not easy with dogs hairs). But best investment so far. I had had 3 dyson before - and not the cheap ones- and they kept dying after 5 years and "no sorry, can't repair. No more parts". That was driving me crazy.
r/goldenretrievers • Any recommendations on good Vacuums pretty please ->I have 2 pyrs and love my samsung bespoke vacuum. When the vacuum gets full, the dirt and fur are suctioned into a bag that is in a charging dock. When the bag is full, I open the dock and replace the bag. The included tools work great on furniture and the cars! It's pricey, but I got it on a really good sale.
r/greatpyrenees • Best vacuum to purchase when you have a Great Pyr ->https://preview.redd.it/2ow20hag5kid1.jpeg?width=1116&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=92a0fa4b9e95266bb6f74e250c18b9bbef15ebb2 Vacuum nerd here, I use the Bespoke Jet from Samsung. It is a little light on attachments, and sadly doesn't include the motorized mini head, so I'd only recommend it if you can get it for this price, otherwise it's just a bad value. The vacuum itself is fantastic. Unlike a lot of other vacuums I see, this one has dual cyclonic filtering. This means the filters stay clean for way longer, so you can go multiple weeks without cleaning them. My previous Tineco A11 only had single stage cyclonic filtering, so the filter would clog up after a week or two and require constant cleaning. Battery life and suction are great. Thanks to the good filtering, you only need to use it on its medium setting which lasts a good while. It's max setting is super powerful, easily on par with a corded vacuum, although it only lasts like 3 minutes. But it's great for crevices, vacuuming your car, etc. I also love the auto empty station. Simply place the vacuum on top, press the button, and it automatically dumps all the contents out of the dust bin. It sounds like a silly gimmick, but trust me, it's so nice to not have to worry about emptying the vac after using it. Sadly, the vacuum dust bin is a bit small, but you can easily work around this by simply placing the station somewhere in the middle of your house. Start vacuuming at one side, when you get to the middle empty the vacuum on the station (takes about 15 seconds) then keep vacuuming. When you're done simply place it back on the station to charge and empty it again. They also have the Bespoke Jet AI. it is more expensive, so also definitely look for deals. It has slightly more suction, a better floor head with more powerful motor and a light, it does include a mini motorized brush head, and has a bigger battery. It also has auto suction adjustment to make better use of it's already stellar battery life.
r/husky • What vacuum do you use? ->My dyson has been relocated to the workshop. Use a samsung jet in the house now. Still not as good as a miele but it's convenient and works.
