Sebo e1 great vacuum and will be 15% off soon and longer cord 10 year warranty, 466.00

E1 i would go for, maybe add deluxe parquet tool, you can remove front brush so it gobbles stuff rather than push it

Sebo is most of my business so that!

Of course she will get conflicting views here. SEBO if you have the money as well worth it if not, go with the Kenny.

Or the only other quality Vacuum is the SEBO you can tell them that you want one of those instead

As a small vacuum business myself, I would be happy to switch it out for you, if you feel better, call them ahead of time. Tell him what happened and you decide to go with the SEBO

They are having issues with their new SEB O and they are upset, these things are very rare, but they do happen

Windsor/Sebo as good as it gets, what is breaking?

Miele an Sebo are the premium canisters due to quality, warranty, and filtration. Of the two, Miele hoses are more flexible. I have both the Sebo E3 and D4, and both hoses are stiff and bulky due to their tapered design. I also have the Miele C3 and prefer it for dusting because Miele makes a larger, fully articulating brush (SUB 20) that works on the ceiling fans and bookshelves. For hard floor cleaning, the parquet twister is my go to, both Sebo and Meile have a version of this attachment. Based on your cleaning needs, a suction only machine will work well. Look at the Miele Classic C1 or Guard M1. Sebo comes in a close second place for portability. Look at the E1 or K2 Kombi and add the parquet twister. If you have a vacuum dealer, go there, the Black Friday discounts will be better and they will give you a package discount for any additional attachments, bags, etc.

How big is your home? If your around 2500 to 3000 square feet I'd recommend the Sebo E1 with the addition of the Premium parquet head for your hard floors. It comes with a Kombi head that'll do both but the premium head is really worth the upgrade.

Sebo e1 or e2 depending on your rugs. A bit above your budget but you won't need to replace it, for atleast a decade but probably atleast two decades. 10 year warranty. You may be able to get it at discount from a dealer. The white is the best at hiding scratches. Another option, that's cheaper is a Miele c1 pure suction or the blue version with a turbo brush. Much, much shorter warranty period but excellent on hard floors. I have a Sebo d4 and purchase a Miele c1 pure suction as a present for my mother. Forget about Dyson or shark.

The D4 is the big daddy. The E is the newer design but smaller and convenient for most people. The K1 is the oldest design and a little bit quirkier. The D is probably the best engineered, but unless you need the long cord and the giant bag, the E1 is probably better for most people. The analog slider for suction power on the e1 is the better design. They all use the same motor with 2000hr service life and have the same suction. The k1 allows you to attach a Hepa exhaust filter I believe. There is no appreciable difference between Sebo s class and Hepa (unless you happen to be an electron microscope). The white color is best at hiding scratches. You're buying a Sebo for effectiveness, reliability, repairability and cheap consumables (relative to Miele). They are engineered to just work for decades. The Miele's tend to require maintenance.

The Dyson, the shark and the roomba don’t compare to the Sebo. That’s how they compare. It’s like asking how a goldfish compares to a great white shark. I guess they both live in the water.

SEBO K2 or E1. Miele C1. A bagged canister is going to be your best friend for the allergies and easier to use on upholstery than an upright. The SEBOs have a much better warranty, you might be able to get a better deal on a Miele.

If you want BIFL , just get the sebo e1 or K1. 10 year warranty. The cheapest vacuums at Costco are more than $150 (at least the ones which are worth getting). I got a Dyson v8 or (v7) like 5 years ago from Costco. Had to change the battery once which Dyson mailed me a new battery. Even then with full charge it’ll last like 20 mins max now. I would say that the v8 or v15 dysons are the only vacuums that I’d even consider at Costco. But at their price, I could get a bagged, plugged in vacuum like a Sebo e1 or k1

Go to the closest Sebo dealer if you have one and test 1) sebo dart or felix because you might not be familiar with uprights 2) sebo k2 ($350-$400) 3) sebo e1/e2 ($550/$650) Last two are canisters. I would highly recommend the e1/e2. You just missed a huge sale that ended last weekend. You can ask the dealer about upcoming deals. All of the above have a 10 year warranty

Sebo is a great brand for professional cleaners, they're powerful, durable, and repairable. If you just want one vacuum that can clean all floor types then really the Sebo Felix is the best option. The other Sebo uprights don't have brushroll shutoff so some of them can do hard floors but not as well as having brushroll shutoff. Downsides to the Felix are a heavy handle weight and a short built in hose. A Sebo K3 or Sebo E3 are canisters that can do all floor types as well. If you want one of the Sebo uprights that aren't a Felix I'd choose the Sebo Essential G4. I prefer the manual carpet height adjustment, it gives you exactly what you want and is one less motor to break. And I prefer being able to remove the whole brushroll on the G4 instead of just the brushstrips on the Mechanical Series. To clean hard floors you'll need to add the kit with an extension hose, extension wand, and parquet brush. I wouldn't risk using the X7 on hard floors even though it has a squeegee because I wouldn't want to risk being blamed for scratching a client's floors. My ideal setup is 2 vacuums, an upright for the carpets, and a canister for the hard floors and above floor cleaning. I'd get a Essential G4 and a E1 Kombi. Having 2 vacuums can help you finish a job if one vacuum goes down during the job. If the upright goes down the canister can clean carpets (though it takes more work) and if the canister goes down you can finish using the hose on the upright. Also if a job has no carpets just take in the canister and vice versa. Be sure to find a local vacuum store to try them all in person first. What do you think?

I think some determining factors are the E2 is medium sized, normal length hose and cord, medium sized bags, medium size and weight canister. The D1 has a long hose, a super long cord, large bags, it is heavier and bigger, but it isn't a very heavy vacuum compared to lift. The canister is around 15 lbs, but a Dyson Ball Animal is 17 lbs, and a Kirby 23 lbs. If I read that right you only have hard floors, so you don't actually need a turbo brush. The Sebo E1 Kombi is $499 CAD, that's $100 cheaper than the E2 Turbo. The E1 Kombi comes with the Premium Kombi Brush which is like the Premium Parquet Brush similar in size and the way that is swivels. The Premium Kombi Brush has no front bristles and the back bristles retract for use on rugs. If you want a longer hose and cord the D1 is a great value but otherwise I think the E1 is the better choice.

The standard Kombi is just ok. The Premium Kombi is more like the Premium Parquet Brush.

No problem it confusing that they’re both called Kombi Brush and there aren’t many reviews in the Premium Kombi. I have one and it’s like the Premium Parquet with the front brush strip already removed. It’s a little narrower than the Premium Parquet Brush.

I don't like dual vacuum/mop combos. Most cannot dry vacuum floors, they only wet mop. They all have a lot of cleanup after each use, wash & dry everything or you get odors and mold. Even the self-drying models have parts that need to be removed, washed, and dried. They have no hose or tools to vacuum anything above the floor. Many vac/mops have fixed batteries that wear out in 1-2 years. My advice is to buy a good regular vacuum corded or cordless and then pair it with the mop of your choice. If you want the most suction power and the longest lasting vacuum a corded canister like the Sebo E1 Kombi $499 CAD will clean hard floors amazingly and last 15-20 years. Bags last 2-3 months each. If you go cordless be sure to choose a vacuum with removable & replaceable batteries. Maintenance on any bagless vacuum will be more frequent, including emptying, washing filters, and still replacing HEPA filters yearly. I do not recommend a steam mop for laminate flooring, the heat can damage the wood and dissolve the glue. I would choose either an O'Cedar Spin Mop or a good reusable spray mop. Both you just throw the mop head in to the wash. Thoughts?

I think the Sebo E3 would be a very good choice. They have strong suction, yet they're quieter than average, very durable, and easy to maintain and repair. One downside is the E3 is more expensive upfront. I agree, the Sebo E3 isn't overkill if you have large area rugs. The powerhead cleans faster and makes it easier to push on rugs and carpets. If you get a Sebo E1 or E2 both the combo floor brush and turbo brush take more work to push back and forth. I highly recommend trying the different floor heads at a local store so you can really feel if it makes it too heavy to push for you. A vacuum with a turbo brush will also get a fair amount of hair wrap because the brushroll is very narrow. For upholstery, I actually like the standard upholstery brush. It's compact and lightweight. Many people like the handheld turbo brush because the spinning brushroll helps remove hair and fur. A turbo brush does add some weight and size so I'd try one out in the store too. Either way, cleaning with a canister is much easier; you don't have to constantly pull on a stretch hose, it's usually longer than an upright's. You can put a canister on its end so it won't roll. You can also put the cleaning tools on the end of the wand so you don't have to bend and you get a longer reach.

If you only have tile a suction-only canister vacuum will work well. You don’t need a carpet powerhead since you don’t have carpets, but if you find a good deal on a vacuum with a carpet powerhead you can just leave the powerhead on the side. I’d look for a Miele C1, Miele C3, Sebo K2, Sebo E1, Sebo D1, or Henry 160. They’re all very good canister vacuums. I like Sebos more than Mieles because they are a little more durable. You have to be more careful that a used Miele wasn’t abused by running it without a bag or using generic bags that let dust wear down the motor. There are a number or commercial canister vacuums that are also good at hard floors like the Nilfisk GD930. If you find a good enough deal can be attractive. Electrolux canister vacuums are pretty solid, the old brick looking ones. I’m not the biggest fan of them as they don’t roll as well as newer canisters. Avoid Kirbys, they’re made for carpets and avoid Rainbow vacuums as the water creates more work and weight. Hope that helps.

Sebo E1 Kombi $499 CAD. It is powerful, durable, and easy to repair. It's also very quiet. A vacuum with a suction only hard floor brush will be the most gentle on delicate wood floors. Your Canadian version comes with the Premium Kombi Floor Brush which is like a switchable Premium Parquet Brush. The Premium Kombi Brush has no front brushes so it will gulp up hair and you can switch it to rugs for quick cleaning the rugs too. Downsides are that it's corded. Dreame Z10 Station $299 CAD. This Dreame has a multi-cyclonic design, a HEPA filter, and a removable and replaceable battery. It comes with 2 powerheads, a charging and emptying stand, and it's much cheaper than a Dyson. Downsides are all cordless vacuums are less durable than a good corded vacuum and you will need to replace the battery in 2-5 years. I love having a cordless vacuum to quickly clean a single room, so I'm willing to make some durability and performance tradeoffs. Since you have a central vacuum you are not depending on a cordless vacuum as your only vacuum. I was concerned that even a soft brushroll could damage my wood floors but so far in 2 years my wood floors have not been damaged by my cordless vacuum's single soft brushroll. I do not like the regular carpet brushrolls and dual brushrolls on my wood floors because you can hear them beating/thumping the wood. I have dented and scratched my wood from other normal use but the soft brushroll has not. If you have delicate wood floors you could test a soft brushroll on maybe a less important room. You will have to make the final call. Since all of the Ryobi vacuums have a single carpet brushroll or a dual brushroll I would not use them on wood floors. Thoughts?

I mean they'll all do the job reliably for many many years, so it'll all come down to personal preference. I'll list a couple of criticisms: Miele guard S1: no on-board tool storage, just a clip to put on the hose or handle. Sebo K1: no cord retract button, pull to retract. Dusting brush attaches to the crevice tool instead of directly to the handle, extra step in using it. I'm not sure where the dusting brush stores or if it even comes with the cheaper variants. Sebo E1: doesn't have on-board storage for the dusting brush, just a clip to the handle. Not sure if it comes as standard with the cheaper variants. The cheaper variants of the Sebo K1 and E1 come with the older COMFORT PRO 8351GS floor tool, which is just too big to be usable in a domestic environment. The more expensive versions come with the better KOMBI 7260GS tool. Still heavy but very usable. Miele M1 is an updated version of the C3. I think the M1 has a longer cord. Both excellent, but heavy and loud machines. Sebo D4, just to big for a small flat.

> Sebo BS 460, SEBO Automatic X7. Those are carpet machines, avoid those. Sebo K1 is ok, E1/E2 is better: quieter, larger bag. Get one with the newer Combi floor tool. Some of the cheaper options come with the older, clunkier, COMFORT PRO floor tool. Bagged Miele, Siemens/Bosch units are also good. Depending on how many rugs you have you may want a dedicated parquet tool rather than a switchable hard/soft floor tool. Edit: forgot about the Sebo E3: suction control on the handle is a nice upgrade, but some people complain about the bulkier hose that it comes with.

> The L1 says it has a better handle with power and mode options? The L1 has a handle with inbuilt remote control to be able to reduce suction. Something you can just do with your foot on the M1. Up to you if that's worth it. > Don't know if there exist brushes to remove cat hair from fiber/cloth like pillows and so on? > I hate buying new stuff... Depending on the fabric either the included upholstery tool or a small turbo tool. [Wesselwerk make good ones.](https://www.wessel-werk.com/en/products/turbo-nozzles/pt-160) > Maybe I should just take a trip to Germany and buy a Sebo E3, but then the premium version is the one to get so it will still be €500? I wouldn't get an E3 premium for just a couple of rugs. Either get an E1 with the Kombi floor tool, the cheaper ones in the range come with the older clunkier Combination floor tool. You can't adjust suction with your foot on an E1, so if you don't want to bend down get a €340 E3 Komfort for the better handle, no need to shell out for the premium. The E3 does come with a thicker hose than the E1 which some people find annoying. No personal experience: I've got an E1 and most of my family have Miele machines.
